  1. Day 13: Forest Dawn
  2. As the wind stopped tossing me around like a loose tissue, I landed face-first into the ground, getting the terrible taste of dirt in my mouth.
  3.
  4. I got up, spat out the soil, and looked around, noticing the vast expanse of the trees, the lightning, and pouring rain above me. In a bit of a panic, I rushed over to a nearby tree and took shelter underneath it, trying to make sure I wasn't getting too wet. Getting exhausted from being constantly getting dragged around, I found a dry spot on the tree's roots and sat there before promptly falling asleep.
  5.
  6. I don't know how long I was there, but it had to have been several hours, since I was woken up by the sunlight seeping through the leaves in the forest. The leaves rustled with a gentle breeze, and the birds in the forest filled the rest of the silence with their constant chirping. As I began to walk around, the dead leaves from seasons before crunched beneath my feet, the low-lying brush moving along with it.
  7.
  8. Being lost yet again, I walked in one direction, hoping to find my way out. Unfortunately, I couldn't find anything that was noticeably different to follow, even after walking for a really long time.
  9.
  10. I eventually conceded and just sat where I was, watching the birds and other forest fauna do their thing as the bright yellow light in the forest started to turn orange, the daylight fleeting. As the final moments of sunlight faded, I began to feel tired once more, so I sat at another tree, admiring the glow of the full moon I once stood on, and slowly drifted into another sleep.
