I wrote this before I was introduced to the noble and rational arts of Bayesjutsu. In fact, at the time, I was under the influence of a community of spiritualists at [http://thespiritscience.net/forum/]. After removing my texts from that site upon realizing how damaging or harmful they might be to their blind believers, I attempted to edit them into a rationally acceptable state. You can see this in the first section of the story, that which ends upon my beginning of consideration of the difference between the soul and spirit. (The dividing line has been marked with a dramatic array of "=" marks and capital letters. Please arm yourself with caution before proceeding past that line.) However, I quickly realized that much of the story was unsalvageable, as its premises had themselves flawed premises. I explore these flaws in the document [http://pastebin.com/7n45q6Zw]. Thank you. Alright! Here we go! [Seraph nervously bites his nails, wondering if his post will be satisfactory to the community.] Welcome to SAAPS!

The Flower of Life is the creation pattern of everything in existence, both physical and intangible. It contains thirteen information systems for the thirteen circles in the Fruit of Life, each one for another aspect of reality.

Math in space is geometry; math in time is music
Time is just how we can see things from the next higher dimension
Just as a four-dimensional cube has to use time to become four-dimensional from our three-dimensional computer screens, a five-dimensional cube from the fourth dimension would be moving through time, and people in the fourth dimension would move through what WE call time as if it was space.

Needless to say, in the beginning, there was Spirit. Or God, or Brahman, or Consciousness, or Chaos, or whatever you wish to call it. Oftentimes, people call it Source, and then call the fabric of space-time (elsewhere known as quantum foam) the "Source Field". I myself will be using the terms "God" and "Source" interchangeably, as well as "Source Field" and "space-time".

So, here's Source, floating in a void, a vacuum- well, not really; you can't have a vacuum if there's no such thing as space yet. No time, either. There is nothing. No other universes. Just nothing. THIS is the beginning. Everything, of course, has to have a beginning and an end; otherwise it would just be a perpetual motion machine, and that would violate the first and second laws of thermodynamics. So now we've gone all the way back- back before even our universe was made, back billions and even trillions of years in the past. Welcome to the point before the beginning.

But there's Source here. What the heck is it doing? Where did it come from? It's just been sitting there, waiting to decide to do something? Essentially, yes. Keep in mind that there's no time at this point, so it could have been sitting there for an instant or for an eternity, but we can't even tell the difference between those two, so there's no point. There was Source. Perhaps it didn't exist until it started creating; perhaps it was just an instantaneous side-effect of creation. Since we're clearly in danger of falling into a chicken-and-egg scenario, we'll quickly move on.

["Hold up," you say. "This is beginning to sound nastily like a mysterious answer to a mysterious question. We don't know how the universe began, so you're inventing a magical principle that doesn't really do a good job of making the things it explains any more comprehensible. And it won't even predict anything in the future." Now is my time to look you in the eye and blatantly disagree. Wait until you finish reading this; wait until you get to the end. Then you'll see some predictions that I am making that would justify or falsify this premise.]

So, the beginning. All of a sudden, Source becomes self-conscious. It's no longer just a thing sitting there, but it's alive, and it knows that it's alive, and it thinks, therefore it is. This realization of self-consciousness could be expressed as Source saying "I am that I am", if you'd like.

So what? Source thinks for itself. What does that have to do with our universe? Practically everything. I would like to speak, about the Source Field and its relation to Source. The Source Field is created, generated, by being viewed by Source. It is kind of like Schrodinger's Cat: if we do not observe it, we do not know in which state it is. Dead or alive? Did the atom decay or not? Take that experiment, and replace Schrodinger with Source. Source is sitting alone, unaware of anything. Nothing exists, because nothing has observed it to be so. But when Source became self-aware, it became consciously observing the area around it, and essentially caused the omniverse to exist. Things suddenly came to be.

["Hold up," you say again. I irritably look at you. "Things like Schrodinger's Cat only apply to the quantum level, not the space as we see it. You can't think to yourself, 'Oh, I wonder if there's a cat there,' when you've checked a dozen times in the last minute, and then turn around and see a cat. That's the path to the New-Age stuff like manifestation. Don't go there." But who said Source was seeing the space as you and I see it? Who says that it's not the size of a photon? Remember that this is the moment of our omniversal Big Bang.]

So, naturally, the amount of space-time observable by Source formed a sphere: the first sphere of the Flower of Life. [Note that Source is This began the Source Field. Of course, this is all imaginable with our three-dimensional space. Source sitting in space. More space being observed into existence. But our universe is not just space; there is a whole other aspect to it. So, what about time?

Max Planck defined the smallest units of space and time. Anything smaller than these units is practically zero. It cannot be measured. The Planck length is roughly 10 to the -35 meters. The Planck time is the amount of time it takes for light to travel one Planck length in a vacuum: 10 to the -44 seconds.

In the first instant of time- from 0 to 10^-44 seconds- time (and the laws of physics) more or less disappears. Since it is too small to observe, it does not exist. (Schrodinger strikes again!) However, we know that it MUST be there! Thus, we realize that between 0 seconds and 10^-43 seconds, an infinite amount of time passed. Strange to consider. If time stopped and started again, how long was it frozen?

In this first instant, when Source became self-conscious, time, space, matter and everything else in the omniverse were united into one force. THIS is the Source Field, perfectly described. Everything in the omniverse is the Source Field. Source, Consciousness, is constantly observing through us. Whenever we see something new- whether through our telescopes, or our microscopes, or our particle accelerators and computers, we are creating and- here comes the dreaded word- manifesting more Source Field. By extension, this is the same process that causes synchronicity and luck, as well as answered prayers and the law of attraction. We are just influencing the Source Field.

Now, back to the story: Source is cautious but wants to learn more, so it goes to the very edge of its observed area and observes again. This creates two spheres; two circles on the Flower of Life. The overlap between these two circles is called the Vesica Pisces. With the Vesica Pisces, you can find the square roots of the two, three and five, the first three Fibonacci numbers.

From that point, Source moves on to the next spot, to see more stuff into existence. It moves to an area one radius away, where the first and second spheres intersect, and makes another sphere. It continues this pattern, going around the original sphere, until it has created seven circles, or six circles around a center one. This pattern is called the Seed of Life. It can also be called the Genesis Pattern, as it is supposedly the reason behind the Book of Genesis saying that it took six units (expressed as days, which makes no sense, since Earth was not yet created) to create the world. The Seed of Life is the beginning of the creation of the universe which we inhabit, and all universes.

If you look at the Seed of Life, you can see that several points can be connected to form the Hebrew Tree of Life, which maps the aspects of God. Kabbalahists and Hermeticists believe that this is the form of the Tree of Life in the Garden of Eden.

After the next expansion of the pattern, the Egg of Life is formed. The Egg is the form that the embryo of humans (and likely other eukaryotes) takes after three divisions.


Using the Book of Genesis, I am going to prove that the Genesis Pattern is compatible with the series of things in evolution and the modern understanding of science by comparing science to Genesis.  Yes, I am going to go there: the age-old Creationism vs Evolutionism debate.

One thing that I want to make clear here, before I go on, is that the entire prehistorical section of the Book of Genesis (everything before the introduction of Abraham) are retellings of various other Middle Eastern myths and legends.  If we look just at the Babylonian Enuma Elish creation story, we see close parallels with the first creation story in Genesis.  The world begins in darkness; then light is created.  Next, the rigid dome of the sky, to seperate Earth from Heaven.  Then, dry land; then, the sun, moon and stars.  Lastly, the creation of the animals and the humans.  Thus goes the world.

Alright, let us jump to the debate part, where I talk with an imaginary figure in my head!

First of all, I would like to address the "day" dilemma.  Hardcore "Young-Earth" creationists maintain that the world was created in seven days.  [The evolutionist in my head shakes with laughter.]  First of all, even if we suppose the Earth was in existence from Planck time one, it would not spin- a day would not pass- until it had something to go around, on "day" 4.  However, the Bible itself, in 2 Peter 3:8, says that "with the Lord a day is like a thousand years, and a thousand years are like a day."

By this, Peter is not trying to say that one Godly day is exactly 1000 human years [the mistake that the kooky old "May 21 2011 doomsday" pastor made].  Pete is using the word "like," meaning it is a simile.  To the 10-dimensional being who created space-time itself, time is immaterial.  There is no such thing as time to Source.

Second, does evolution fit into the Bible? Notice how the Bible, when you get to the nitty-gritty details, has God create first the sea creatures, then the birds, and then the land animals. Then, and only then, are humans created. This closely follows the path of evolution

I will go off on a limb and say that God was a proponent of "survival of the fittest". Not as an excuse for eugenics, as modern politicians use it, but as a natural selection method. First, there were the non-cellular life-forms, the viruses that are so pesky today.  They have been reduced to parasites in our day and age, but they were the first life back in Earth's miniature primordial stew. [What? No, you say. Viruses aren't alive! http://www.abovetopsecret.com/forum/thread877034/pg1] Then, with the adoption of a living bubble protecting the virus, the call was formed. At this point, the virus was no longer a virus, but just a string of genetic code. It was the earliest form of DNA. These early cells were the archaea and bacteria. Now, let's establish that one particular bacterium figured out how to turn light into energy, and another figured out how to turn sugar into energy. These two little power-houses come into play later.

Eventually, the cell decided to grow a second bubble-membrane around the DNA in the center. This became the nucleus of eukaryotic cells. Around the same time, one particular cell crept up on the light-energy bacterium and ate it. Unfortunately, something about it didn't agree with the eukaryote, so it just kind of let the bacterium sit there. We can imagine that the bacterium said to the eukaryote, "Hey, man- guess what I found out to do? And I'll do it for you if you give me food!" Thus, chloroplasts were enveloped into some cells. The same process basically happened for mitochondria, or the sugar-energy baterium. Needless to say, these two newly enabled cells went on to reproduce and outlive other, weaker cells. Thus went evolution, and now we have the fungi, protists, plants, and animals of today.

Where did life in its primary, viroid form first form? I believe in the Panspermia theory of life's origin. Panspermia says that life was planted on Earth from outer space via a comet or meteor, much like human sperm "plants" life into an egg. Of course, if Panspermia is true, note that the above-detailed process for the evolution of life from viroids through bacteria to plants and animals may have occurred on another piece of rock than Earth. As to what point in the sequence it broke off to Earth, I do not know; however, I find it most likely that by the time mitochondria joined eukaryotic cells, life was on Earth.

I believe that life was a natural step for Source. One being increasing the universe by units of circles, as in the Flower of Life, is not exactly the most efficient way. Thus, it formed life for itself to manifest in: life where each unit could continue to manifest more space-time and Source Field.

Here is the point in which I draw a line between the "soul" and the "spirit". The soul is the instinct, the memory, the ego of a thing. Every living thing has a soul; it is a requirement of life. However, spirit is the intellectual, sentient, self-conscious aspect of living things; the super-ego, if you will. Note that not all living things have spirit. In fact, I am confident in saying that most forms of life on Earth, including all archaea, bacteria, protists, and fungi, are lacking in spirit. They are not scientific; they are not curious about their place in the world.

This is very similar to, if you'll mind the science fiction reference, the difference between ramen and varelse or djur on Demosthenes' Hierarchy of Foreignness in Speaker for the Dead. Ramen individuals, who have spirits, are sentient beings with whom communication is possible. Varelse individuals may or may not have spirit; they live, but their motive or purpose for action is unfindable. They may be self aware, they may be rational, but it is impossible to know. Djur beings have not spirite. They are not self-conscious or rational, but are capable of independant action. They act solely on desire for self-preservation.

I am not going to guess as to which other living things on Earth are raman and have spirits, as intelligence displayed by most animals could have been learned from observation of humans. This is the case with most cases of rational thought in apes and dolphins. However, there are a few cases which cannot be really explained. One such example is that of Orky, an orca who

Of course lab mice can learn their way through mazes, but that is nothing special.  Animals have been adapting to new environments for millions of years.

Moving on from that, I will go to my third point.  I believe that the expulsion from the Garden of Eden scene is reminiscent of the addition of spirit to mankind's being.

["Come now, be rational. Many anthropologists have concluded that the Garden of Eden scene is a parable for the remembered hardships resulting from mankind's transition from the easy, hunter-gatherer life to the hard life of farming." Let me speak, I counter. Our evolutionary ancestors were merely animals- again, with souls but not spirits. (See "Understanding Spirit and Soul" at tinyurl.com/7jovzdz)  They had limited powers of consciousness and were unable to manifest anything.  However, when our species equated to a certain point on the Phi Ratio (not after we competed with the Neanderthals, Homo erectus and other contemporary primates for thousands upon thousands of years), Source endowed us with consciousness.  We were now able to do complex mental computations- including but not limited to writing long books or essays (like this one), mathematics and, of course, manifestation.

The entry of Source into our bodies is remembered by the leaving of the Garden of Eden.  We now knew the difference between Good and Evil- but it had nothing to do with eating from a Tree.

Now, we, as a species, were free to begin a civilization.  After all, we were intelligent!  We, as a race, began to spread out from our African homeland.  This began a long age of exploration and technological advancement.  I will begin before all that, with the Age of Sagittarius- not as an astrological symbol, but as an astronomical unit of time.

So, Sagittarius.  [Seraph shoes away the evolutionist and picks up a notebook.]  This was the age of nomads.  Here, we worshiped Nature itself in its many manifestations, represented by the ancient race of god-men.

[Seraph sighs.]  I am sure that you are scowling at me.  "What is this now?  You earlier maintained that humans were THE race for Earth."  Well, I must now acquiesce.  In my super-recent research, which I made in preparation for this section, I stumbled across the inevitable fact that, in some point in prehistory, before humans even were granted the ability of manifestation, there was a race of giants.  Upon looking for a fossil record of this I realized the possibility that they may be the species behind the Gigantopithecus blacki skeletons that we have, for so long, assumed were apes.

The folks over at a favorite website of mine, s8int.com, did a very immense and all-inclusive section on giants entitled "There Were Giants on the Earth in Those Days". One of the articles in that section, which can be found at tinyurl.com/726smcl, has a rather intriguing (albeit brief) look into the research of Mr Franz Weidenreich. Mr Weidenreich was a firm believer that Gigantopithecus was a giant human instead of an ape, to such a degree that he attempted to rename the genus Giganthropus.

(I will be using "Giganthropus" and "Gigantopithecus" almost interchangeably for the following paragraphs, despite its resemblance to the word "octopus".)

Gigantopithecus was an ancient animal, extinct c.100000 BCE, that was identified as an ape after scientists analyzed its jaw structure.  However, scientists have been wrong before when it comes to jaws and teeth.  For instance, the Nebraska man turned out to be a pig.

If the idea that Gigantopithecus was a man is in fact true, then I feel comfortable justifying my reached conclusion that the ancient Africans worshiped the god of the hunt, later known as Cernunnos, Pan, or Faunus.  Yes, this does not explain the whole goat legs thing- maybe it was just a misunderstood metaphor, like saying that Ganesh has an elephantine head (memory/brain like an elephant) or that Ra has a falcon head (flies across the sky each day as the sun).

"Now now," you counter.  "You said that humans were the one and only manifesting species!  The chosen ones of Earth!"  Let me explain my viewpoint by alluding to a well-known movie.

[Audience looks scornfully at Seraph for using the 2005 version.]  Okay, alright, but think about it.  We were primitive people- like the natives in the video (but probably less savage)- and, to us, a giant hominid would be definitely worthy of worship, whether or not it is an ape or a human.  Alright, King Kong- which the 2005 documentary says is a descendant from Gigantopithecus (take that)- was 25 feet tall, not the Gianthropus' 9 feet.  But, hey, 9 feet is still pretty large, especially when compared to the pygmies of Africa.

Anyway, back to the Age of Sagittarius:  Nature was worshiped.  Heaven was thought of as a happy hunting ground.  A group of humans moved to America (the supercontinent, not the nation) and became the Native Americans, who preserved this religion until the discovery of America by Columbus in the late 15th century.  We covered the earth.  If there was land, we were more or less there, with only a few exceptions.  This was a peaceful, orderly time of mankind.

However, like all things, it was not to last.  The sun entered the sign of Scorpio.  Now, people began to settle down, farm the land and forget their hunter-gatherer, nomadic pasts.  Towns evolved, and nations of men formed.  Of course, the next Age of Libra brought a necessary step for civilization: trade.  The towns began to trade goods with each other, forming local and global economies.  Towns that gained a lot of traffic became more populous cities, capitals of ancient trade empires.

As the Age of Libra reached its peak, technology grew as a natural means for transportation.  Thus boats were invented and revised over and over again.  Boats were the main means of transportation for this civilization.  They flew- when they invented vimanas- only for short distances, and sailing was the luxury mode of transport for the rich and powerful merchants.  For instance- which would you like better, a short ride on an airplane, cramped into your seat, or a long ride on a cruise ship, the water splashing at the side of the boat, spray gently raining on your face, the smell of ocean floating through the air? I, for one, would agree with the ancients and go with the ship.

And thus their civilization grew.  This age was also one of science.  The old religion was all but forgotten, and only the few remaining cults of priests carried the belief of the gods.  Money was revered more than anything else.  However, all this was to change in the Age of Virgo, the Virgin.  In this Age, a new religion arose: one that worshiped the Great Mother Goddess of the Earth.  She was the goddess of fertility and food.  Her cult became powerful, and usurped the position of the old priests.

Civilization tends to force mankind's spiritual beliefs towards monotheism.  This is why, in today's global civilization, a whopping four billion people belong to monotheistic religions.  Thus, it is no surprise that, when the scientists of Libra discovered irrefutable proof of a One God, Source, the priests emerged from hiding and personified it as the primal queen of the gods, the Mother Goddess of Earth.  This goddess had three faces, not unlike Artemis/Selene/Hekate or the Wiccan Three-fold Goddess: the Sky (the Virgin); the Earth (the Mother); and the Underworld (the Crone).  The other ancient gods were worshiped as manifestations of the Mother.

[Seraph looks up from notes.]  I suppose I could compare this ancient religion to Catholicism: three beings in one God, with several manifestations.  [Jots down a note to the pad.]

Anyway, in the Age of Virgo, science and spirituality were united, and the long sought Grand Unified Theory of Everything was finally discovered through the Flower of Life.  War had not been eliminated (it never will), but abandoned.  The new test for superiority among nations was intellectual achievement, not political dominence.  The schools would train their students in advanced math and the sciences at a young age with the hope to win recognition for their countries. One such student grew to single-handedly change the course of history, and his name was Enme-Duranki.

In the late Age of Virgo (yes, that 2000 yrs went by very quickly), Enme-Duranki was a bright young student of a nation in what is now northern Africa.  At a young age, he studied with the best of energy harnessing.  Yes, here comes Tesla into play.  Tesla worked with sucking energy- called Vril- from the very sky itself.  Yes, we have seen this Vril hundreds of times in our lives in the form of lightning.

[Seraph sighs.]  Yes, I know, lightning is electricity.  Photons, not this Vril stuff.  Vril is, in reality, the very energy that constitutes space-time- photons, quarks, and seagulls.  Yes, here I trigger a flashback to above, where we talked about how Source creates and IS space-time.  So, I guess you could say that Vril- which can called life-energy, ley, auric energy (whatever that is), chi, and dozens of other names- is Source.

Back to Tesla, he once remarked that the pyramidal design found in the pyramids and ziggurats of antiquity could hypothetically be used for the collection of energy from lightning.  He copied this design in part for his work on the Wardenclyffe Tower.  However, some of my favorite researchers over at Eden-Saga, such as Xavier Séguin, found that not only the pyramids could be used to those ends.  Stone circles could also work.

At tinyurl.com/72h3yme, they uncover the central system of the majority of unexplained ancient monuments: they were power plants, which harvested energy from lightning.  In fact, if you click along the little right arrow at the bottom of that page, you can see their experiments in Avebury, England, further proving their hypothesis.  This was the level of technology that the ancient achieved through thousands of years of scientific research and study of the Flower of Life.  This was the level of technology that Enme-Duranki (I will further refer to him as ED) was introduced to in his years of study.

So, here we have ED, maybe twenty years old.  He has lived a life of hard work- probably raised to excel in all sciences.  But, at one stage or another, he fled from civilization, to the Tassili n’Ajjer mountains.  He stayed with an isolated cult of nomadic priests.  Much to his interest, they revealed to him how they found water underground with wands that could detect where aquifers were.  (Dowsing rods and ley lines, anyone?)  ED realized that Vril, generated by the rotation of the earth and carried by the water, was attracting the wands.  This is one reason why water is so sensitive to thoughts: thoughts are made of Vril, and H2O can easily carry Vril in its molecular structure.

ED did a lot of calculations, and realized four things:
1) the Vril could be extracted from the aquifers,
2) more Vril would be generated if the Earth's axis was parallel to that of the Sun, and
3) the Earth's axis could be "corrected" by a small but steady stream of Vril.

When ED emerged from the mountains, he spoke with the heads of every nation then on Earth, and convinced them to endorse his system.  Thus, with trillions of monetary units of backing, he began work on the project.  Every so-and-so kilometers, on a straight line around the globe, he constructed a monument that would suck Vril from the earth and keep the planet's axis sitting up straight.

In large due to the fact that the task force was using advanced machines of a futuristic society- imagine floating cranes that would use antigravity to lift any object, no matter how large or how small- the Grid was set up in a year.

Now, you may or may not be thinking something along the lines of, "If all of this is true, where are the signs of this grid today?  Wiped out by a global cataclysm like all the others say?"  Well, actually, no.  If you do the map work, you realize that if you took a globe and a Sharpie, drew a straight line from the Great Pyramid at Giza to Easter Island and then to Angkor Wat and then to Cuzco, the Nazca Lines, Petra, Ur, Mohenjo Daro, Tongapu, Ollantaytambo, Machu Picchu, Byblos, Abydos, Paratoari, Siwa, Persepolis, Ganweriwala, Khajuraho, Sukothai and Pyay, all ancient sites scattered around the world, you never would guess what shape you would get?

How could it be a coincidence that all of those sites are sitting on one straight line?  According to mainstream science, the ancient civilizations had no communication with each other.

So, the Grid is activated!  Earth spins parallel to the sun, at a rate of 360 days a year.  The north pole is in SE Alaska and it is forever spring.  Also, more Vril is generated, powering the entire world.  ED- now called Enoch (heh, I bet you have heard that before)- claims the now-melted Antarctica for himself and his family.

Speaking of his family, they attempted to sap off of his fame and glory.  The super close family- uncles, aunts, brothers, sisters, cousins- used their connection to Enoch as a way to get important- and governmentally influential- positions in society.

Understandably, lay people began trying to claim their relationship to Enoch, by their great-grandfather's cousin being Enoch's father's uncle's half-brother.  Enoch, hoping to undermine the upcoming chaos, did a lot of research on who was actually related to him.  The family was collectively called the Ille (capital i-l-l-e).  If you were his close family, you were dubbed the Atla, as in Atlas Grid.  Each new degree of separation was a new bloodline.  Second-closest (after the Atla) was the Deucalion people ("deuc" as deuce, for two, and "ali" for Ille); fiftieth-closest was the Quintilian.

Meanwhile, the Atla began to abuse their power.  Within 500-1000 years (yes, medicine let people live extraordinarily long), his close family more or less had united the world under one global government, ruled by the head of the Atla.  The global capital was on the mainland of Antarctica, dubbed Atlantis, the Land of the Atla.

However, the head of the Atla, for all this time, was still Enoch.  He protested violently to the insane power-grabbing orchestrated by his relatives, but could not do anything without giving rise to conflict.  However, he was sure to veto the proposals of his family whenever he could.  Of course, knowing the conniving Atla, they found a way to get rid of him: by claiming to the rest of the world that his age and obsession with science had driven him crazy.  They more or less locked him up in an insane asylum- not that he would let an asylum keep him back.

A new leader (who I will today call Osiris), the brother of Enoch, succeeded the throne, and, with the support of his siblings, named himself king of the world.  The ancient Earth was now a global dictatorship.  Osiris had sole rule over the great kingdom, advised by his family.  What is our discredited protagonist going to do?

[Seraph sighs and runs his hand through his hair.]  I would love to say that he arose the people in a global revolution against Osiris, but that would be lying.  As far as I can tell, he lay low, taking the route of a pacifist and simply traveling around the world making sure that his Grid was safe and secure.  He also took up medicine, figuring out exactly how Vril can help heal the body.  He discovered that a certain recipe for long life and good health that had been discovered during the mid Age of Libra (which accounted for the thousand-year lifespans) was in fact a method for extracting Vril from urine.

However, around 11000 BCE- approximately 1000 yrs after the Grid was activated and 500 yrs after the Atla seized control of the world- the terrible happened.  Osiris became convinced that one of his brothers, whom I will here call Set, was conspiring to take control of the throne.  Thus, he banished Set and his followers to the mountains, far from the island (Ille land) capitals of Atlantis.  Imagine living in New York City your whole life, then suddenly being banished to the uninhabited Appalacian Mountains because of a rumor (except you have thousands of willing followers and free, unlimited electricity).

[Seraph pauses to wait for you to imagine.]

Done yet?  Okay.  In the mountains, Set joined forces with the mountain cults of priests, who had also sapped off of Enoch's fame to settle huge, magnificent cities on mountaintops worldwide.  Fame, wealth and materialism had corrupted the monks, and they devised dastardly plans for Set to avenge his banishment.

Hoping to circumvent conflict, Enoch arranged a meeting for his brothers to try to reconcile their differences.  They were to meet out in the plains and fields of Atlantis, between the mountains and the islands.  Unfortunately, Set took the chance to slay his brother, chopping him up into several pieces that he scattered around the plains.  Remember that scene from Lesson 12_4, when Osiris was put back together by his wife, Isis.  With the help of Enoch's study of Vril in relation to medicine, she managed to put Osiris back together and bring his soul back to his body, restoring him to life.  Unfortunately, he was not perfectly healed: he was now incapable of complex thought, as Source had ceased possession of his body at death.

[Seraph looks up from his notebook.]  Before we go on, let us review what just happened.  Brother cuts up brother.  Sound familiar?  Let me rephrase that, as family relationships are often distorted by history and legend: close relative cuts up close relative.  Set cuts up Osiris.  Cain cuts up Abel.  Zeus cuts up Kronos.  In nearly every mythology and religion in the world, this pattern can be found.  Sometimes the cutter is portrayed as good; sometimes the cut is.  This pattern is now called by some Indo-European researchers the "Cut God" legend, a myth that has been imbued in the collective consciousness for thousands of years.

Back to the story: Osiris, helped and supported by his son, Horus, declares war on Set and his people.  The Atla has now been neatly bisected into the island Atla, called Fish or Snake Men, and the mountain Atla, the Bird Men.  Again, another fundamental pattern from history: fish men versus bird men.  One is constantly in conflict with the other.  An example of this are the Garudas, bird-like beings from Hindu mythology that were enemies with snake-like beings. Another is on the Mexican flag, which features the Aztec myth of a bird eating a snake.

Indeed, if you dig beneath the surface, you will find that these two clans of Atla, when identified by their relationship to the Cut God, are not only bird- and snake-men but also the Olympians and Titans of Greece and Rome; Vanir and Aesir of Scandinavia; the Daevas and the Ahuras of Zoroastrianism; the Demons and Angels of Abraham; Devas and Asuras of Hinduism; the Tuatha de Danann and Fomorians of the British Isles; and so on for the thousands of other mythologies and belief systems around the world.  Even when the Cut God relationship is lacking, the elder race or group of people (the Snake Atla) and their younger challengers (the Bird Atla) are still there.

Back to the story, an atomic war was raging on.  Enoch was, for the most part, avoiding it by hanging out in his observatory.  Why?  He had discovered something terrible.  To herald the coming of the Age of Leo, a remarkably massive and extremely magnetic comet was hurtling towards Earth.  It would not hit Earth, but come close enough to possibly bombard the Atlas Grid with enough opposite Vril energy to interrupt its flow.  Some quick calculations revealed that it would take thousands of years to prepare the systems of the Grid for the fly-by.  Enoch tried to warn both sides of the Atla, but they ignored him as the ramblings of a madman and did not act upon the information.

Seeing that no person of power would listen to him, Enoch stopped speaking with the Atla.  He went one step down, to the leader of the Deucalion.  His name was Utnapishtim, and he lived in the lower plains of Atlantis, near the islands.  Utnapishtim was wise and immediately saw the truth behind Enoch's warnings.  He teamed up with Enoch and, together, they spent a few years in the lands of the Deucalion in preparation.  This was not easy, riddled with distracting battles between the Atla.  They finally moved to the rain forests of Khem, where they began again in a vast underground chamber.  They more or less collect the DNA of every species of plant, animal or bacteria in the world- that is right, the full genome code of every living species- and begin to build huge people-moving machines, which take the shape of space-arks.  Along the lines of the International Space Station, but bigger and more versatile.  [Wipes forehead as he looks into the audience for approval.  Nobody nods.  Seraph eagerly continues.]

Anyway, they ultimately finished the ark and the boat that the DNA is supposed to ride on during the cataclysm.  Yep, here we have it folks: the Comet.  It has been called Nibiru, Planet X, Hercolubus, Tyche, or a dozen other more ridiculous names.

However, it does not behave like whatever supposed meteor is supposed to strike in 2012.  By a few months before its hit, people could already see it glowing brightly in the night sky.  A panic rose in suspicion of the object.  The astronomers of the Atla revealed that it was a comet, but will not hit Earth.  This ended most people's worry, as none of them thought of the effects on the Grid.  By one month before the pass, however, Enoch and Utnapishtim came forward to warn the population.  Although they tried to reach everyone, many ignored the supposedly insane scientist.  The arrogant Atla haughtily refused their help, but many others- especially those who were close to Enoch before his rise to fame- agreed.  After all, what could it hurt?

As the comet got closer and closer, strange occurrences (such as black-outs, earthquakes, out-of-season cyclones, et cetera) became common.  Twenty-four hours before the final approach, Enoch ushered all of the people that had signed up onto the space-ark.  Utnapishtim was taking care of the DNA-bank ark.  Last minute, however, when the comet was nearly there and just before liftoff, the top family of the Snake-Men, whose island homes would be demolished in the change, came begging on their hands and knees for admittance onto the space-ark.  Enoch is filled with pity at this, and, although his family members have shunned him in the past, he gives in and lets them onto the ship.  It takes off minutes before the comet approaches.

Utnapishtim, meanwhile, was safe on the DNA ark.  He watched as the comet approached through the one window, then disappeared into the bank section to make sure the racks were secured.  The DNA ark was literally a gigantic floating cylinder of metal, designed to bob and bend with outside forces of nature without breaking.  It had a hollow core, allowing water to flow through, and all of the rooms were built around the core, allowing the racks to roll around the core as the cylinder crashes through the waves.  The starting point of the ark was around what is now the island of Crete.

From the get-go, Utnapishtim could tell something was wrong.  The comet was not behaving according to calculations.  Keep in mind that this thing was about a 1000 kilometers across; not exactly a small space-rock.  However, it is much less massive than Earth, so it began to curve in its path.  This was definitely not foreseen, as the extreme magnetism was supposed to counteract Earth's gravity.  How could this effect the plan?

While this was happening, the space-ark was safe in orbit of the moon, nowhere near the comet.  However, the Earth-bound part of the plan was endangered.  What extraneous cataclysmic events could occur now?

Well, he decided to just sit tight.  Thank goodness he did- otherwise, all non-human species would have been exterminated, a disastrous prospect, to say the least.  See, the comet's extreme magnetism did three main things:

1) messed up all communications (crystal, fourth-dimensional and otherwise)so that people around the world were oblivious to the state of affairs in other parts of the planet;
2) destroyed the Atlas Grid and allowed the Earth to pop 6.5 degrees off a "straight" axis while cutting energy from the entire planet; and
3) fantastically attracted the Vril-charged water of the world into a huge tidal wave, causing a flood.

And by flood, I mean the Great Flood.  The Deluge.  As the comet orbited the Earth at supersonic speeds, the water followed it.  All that was left behind it was mass chaos and destruction.  Eventually, however, the pull of the Earth's gravity and the reaction of the magnetic water on the comet brought it out of its counter-clockwise spiral and plummeting down to Earth in the north-west Atlantic.  Its remains are still being found all over the planet.

I am sure that you can imagine what damage this did to the Atlas Grid and its supporting monuments.  However, they were built to last: those that were not buried under newly-moved sand, silt and sea remained standing (for the most part).  However, while these above-land examples survived, over two thirds of the monuments were either demolished or submerged.

The DNA bank also survived, carried by the waters to crash on Mount Ararat, in modern Turkey.  This was also the location of a small city of Bird Men.  Thus, it was only logical for the space-ark to land there, exactly 48 hours after its escape to space.  The people that descended from the ship were beside themselves: most believed that nothing was actually going to happen, and went along just to flatter Enoch.  The Snake Men were grim, to say the least.  They cared little for the lost citizens of the world; the lost ranks of the Snake Men army and the mass survival of the Bird Men in their mountain-top cities concerned them much more.

When the leaders of the Bird Men arrived and assembled at Mt Ararat to negotiate with the Snake Men, Enoch and Enmeduranki (who everybody now called Ningishzida or Thoth) arranged peace terms.  The war would be put on hold while the Earth was being resettled and the Grid was being reassembled.  Seven groups of humans- led by the Atla as gods and the Ille as kings- were spread around the world, each with a responsibility to repair the Grid.  These are the seven daughters of the Atla of Atlantis, and their civilizations are:
1) the Sumerians in Mesopotamia;
2) the Egyptians in Egypt;
3) the Harappan in the Indus Valley (Rama's Empire);
4) the Olmecs in Mexico;
5) the Xia Dynasty in China;
6) the Chavins in Peru; and
7) the global headquarters in Asia Minor around Mt Ararat.

Unfortunately, there were several flaws in this plan which prevented it from being implemented immediately.  For one, there were only a few thousand humans left on the planet and re-population would take time.  Also, the two Atla clans were not too eager to put down their weapons so easily.  Third, much technology had been lost.  The reconstruction would have to be done mostly through manual labor- a hobby which none of the survivors were eager to take up.

Thoth the Atlantean lived in Antarctica, and was the leader of the Deucalion people. He was employed by Enoch to help save the people from the Comet Lupis, which threatened to destroy the Atlas Grid. He saved all of the animals by guarding a DNA bank as Enoch worked to save the humans.

After the comet smashed into the Gulf of Mexico, Enoch descended back to Earth with the humans he had saved. However, he was in a greatly weakened state, having used his auric energy to help maintain the spaceship from the comet's intense gravity and magnetism. Dying in Thoth's arms, he whispered his last secrets into his ear before dying.

Thoth, now empowered with these secrets, had a plan for the salvation of mankind forming in his mind. First, he organized a meeting of the two conflicting groups of Atla, the "bird"- mountain dwelling- and "snake"- island dwelling- peoples. He forced them to come to a deadlock in their eternal war, and brought them to an agreement. He divided the population of survivors into six groups, each with Ille kings and common people as subjects. Each one was sent out to another section of the world, to work on, repair, or strengthen the Atlas Grid.

One went to the fertile plain between the Rivers Tigris and Euphrates. They became the foundation of the Sumerian or Babylonian civilizations. Next was to Egypt on the Nile, and then to the Indus River Valley, and then to the Andes mountains, strongholds of the bird-men, as the Chavins. To construct supplements to the Grid were the Olmecs and the ancient Chinese people.

The original system of religious control instituted by the Ille was the Proto-Indo-Iranian religion, which still exists today as the dissolved states of Zoroastrianism and Hinduism. The difference between the two is that the Younger-Avesta, later texts of the Zoroastrians, demonized Indra/Indara and his deva/daeva Ille god-men, while the later Vedic texts of the Hindus demonized the asura/ahura god-men. However, comparison of less biased Gathas and RigVeda show that both of the scriptures are closely similar and simply tell different versions of the same events.

In effect, the devas/daevas are the younger gods, in conflict with the asuras/ahuras, the older gods. Compare to the fighting between the Titans and the Olympians, the Vanir and the Aesir, the Tuatha de Dannan and the Fomorians; the list goes on and on.

The myth symbolizes a clash between forces of order- the god- and chaos- the serpent- from a mountain Ille point of view. Serpentine island Ille aspects can be found in many Greek aquatic deities, most notably Poseidon, Oceanus, Triton, Typhon (who carries many chthonic attributes while not specifically linked with the sea), Ophion, and also the Slavic Veles.

The Norse god named Tyr was the god of war. He was also known to be the god of single combat, heroism, justice and law. In some texts Tyr is identified as a son of Odin but his Proto-Germanic name Tiwaz suggests that he was once considered the father of the gods. One enemy of the Norse gods was named Fenrir who was also a god but in the form of a wolf. The gods attempted to chain up Fenrir but he knew of their plot. The wolf said he would not let himself be bound unless one of them put his hand in his mouth. Since Tyr was courageous he decided to put his hand into Fenrir's mouth while the gods bound him. Tyr lost his hand to the wolf and that is why he is shown only with one hand.

The Aztec god named Huitzilopochtli was the god of war. He was also known as the god of the sun, human sacrifice and patron of the city of Tenochtitlan. He originally was a tribal wizard god of the Nahuas people that had a lesser importance compared to Tlaloc and Quetzalcoatl. The Aztec ruler called Tlacaelel changed the religion of his time and elevated Huitzilopochtli divinity to that of Tlaloc and made him a sun god. What is interesting about this god is a legend recorded in the Aubin Codex. It says the Aztecs were originally from a place called Aztlan and it was Huitzilopochtli who ordered them to leave and find a new home which became Tenochtitlan. In Aztec iconography Huitzilopochtli is painted with a black face. He is adorned with various feathers possibly that of the humming bird and he is shown holding a scepter shaped like a snake. His other arm or hand is hidden behind a mirror sometimes fastened to four planks.

At first glance one would conclude the mirror was really a shield. All the images of this god show his hand hidden behind the mirror object and it is never seen. I just assumed this was his costume and his hand was always hidden inside the strange mirror-shield device. The following art of this war god shows a different view of the mirror on his hand.

My opinion about this mirror changed when I saw a certain piece of Mixtec art. The image shows a man with a small white mitt over his right hand. The man seems to be conversing with a lizard with six circles on his back. The image in the background appears to be a Meso-American ballcourt.

It is my belief that the white mitt is actually a prosthetic. I also believe the lizard in the picture is meant to be the same creature Huitzilopochtli holds in his good hand. Even though one creature is a snake and the other a lizard I think the importance is its reptile nature. The circles on the back of both creatures gave me this idea. The man in the Mixtec art appears to be the Aztec war god Huitzilopochtli. The mirror object in the Aztec war god's hand is probably a prosthetic also.

I find it strange that two completely different cultures both gave their war gods missing hands.
Might there be more mythological similarities between these two cultures?

Aztec mythology says there were four previous worlds, or suns prior to the current age of the fifth sun. Different types of cataclysms ended those ages. The first world was destroyed by flood, the second by violent winds, the third almost by fire and the fourth almost by famine. Here are some interesting myths regarding the formation of the fifth sun and the consequence of its neglect.

"Quetzalcoatl would not accept the destruction of his people and went to the underworld where he stole their bones from the god Mictlantecuhtli. He dipped these bones in his own blood to resurrect his people, who reopened their eyes to a sky illuminated by the current sun, Huitzilopochtli."

"Should these sacrifices cease, or should mankind fail to please the gods for any other reason, this fifth sun will go black, the world will be shattered by a catastrophic earthquake, and the Tzitzimitl will slay Huitzilopochtli and all of humanity."

The Norse also have a doomsday prophecy relating to the sun and earth shaking events. The prophecy states that on the day of Ragnarok all the gods go to war with one another. Odin, Thor, Tyr, Freyr and Heimdallr will do battle with Loki and his three children, Fenrir, Jormungandr and Hel. Loki and Fenrir will be released from their prison bonds on the day of Ragnarok when the earth shakes violently.

"High describes that the wolf* will first swallow the sun, and then his brother the moon, and mankind will consider the occurrence as a great disaster resulting in much ruin. The stars will disappear. The earth and mountains will shake so violently that the trees will come loose from the soil, the mountains will topple, and all restraints will break, causing Fenrir to break free from his bonds."

(*Fenrir's son named Skoll will swallow the sun and his other son named Hati Hroovitnisson will swallow the moon. Some poems say Fenrir consumed the sun but others say his sons did.)

"With the onset of Ragnarok, Loki is foretold to slip free from his bonds and to fight against the gods among the forces of the jotnar, at which time he will encounter the god Heimdallr and the two will slay each other."

Another text explains how the day of Ragnarok will effect the sun on earth.

"Ragnarok mirrored in many ways the harsh reality of Viking life. Many of the elements contributing to the end of the world tie directly in to Norse experience. The event that heralds the end of the world is called Fimbulvetr [Extreme Winter], and is a winter that is so cold that even "the sun is of no use".

All the reigning gods are to be killed on the day of Ragnarok. Their sons are to rule after them. But what about the sun that was consumed by Fenrir's sons? Before Odin's demise he asks the "mighty weaver" jotunn about any future sun. The Vafþrúðnismál poem reveals that answer.

"In stanza 46, Odin asks what sun will come into the sky after Fenrir has consumed the sun that exists. Vafþrúðnir responds that Sol will bear a daughter before Fenrir assails her, and that after Ragnarök this daughter will continue her mother's path."
