  1. >The short goblin's sharp eyes and lustful smile might've been pleasant under other circumstances. Coming to your frontier village in force with a horde doesn't count as pleasant though. As a "village elder" it is your task to negotiate her down. The leader of the horde only grins wider at your attempts to negotiate. The tension in the air is palpable, both of you damn well know she plans on taking your entire village under her group's "protection".
  2.
  3. >"Look, we can agree to a small group of men. It's not like you'd lose anything if you change your mind later." you say trying and failing not to grit your teeth at the 'change your mind' part. She is clearly toying with you, those men wouldn't be enough for the little bastards.
  4.
  5. >"Why can't we simply 'entertain' them here in the village hmm?" she asks with an insolent grin and a spinning flourish of a war mace that you probably couldn't lift if you wanted to. Trying to keep the newfound realization that you'd have no problem punching an apparent little girl directly in the face from showing is surprisingly difficult.
  6.
  7. >She knows you're planning something but not what. She probably thinks you hope to evacuate while they're distracted.
  8.
  9. >"We have women and children here, you wouldn't want the guests to be reserved due to their presence would you? Asking them to leave their homes and go into the wilderness so the men could entertain you would be just as bad. You understand that, right?" you say, trying to keep your patience.
  10.
  11. >The slight but strong mamono stops twirling the mace and looks you in the eye smugly before saying simply "No." She pauses waiting for your response. Through an act of pure willpower you keep your anger in check.
  12.
  13. >"I know mamono don't get human values, but you at least know that those are human values, right? You've met enough humans to know that, haven't you?" you say, feeling your already thin patience wear down even further.
  14.
  15. >She looks at you with a cheeky grin. Something about your face makes her expression change to a condescending look. You've seen it on several mamono faces before in similar conversations. The frontier gives far too many opportunities for that sort of thing. Such is the price for moving beyond the core lands of the Order.
  16.
  17. >She replies "I know that you humans are prudish. Yeeeah. We can deal with that later, we've got a lot to teach each other." She has the nerve to grin at you with tongue turned upwards between her teeth. You sigh with relief.
  18.
  19. >Her next words make it harder to hang on to that sense of relief. "That is a *lot* to ask to indulge your odd human quirks. I've heard that human women and children can be very entertaining." she says with glee "It's not a very tempting offer. Especially since you've got a handful of old men lined up to do the entertaining." she continues, and you feel your blood run cold as she smiles.
  20.
  21. >She dares to turn her back on you as she stretches, pushing her small butt directly at you. Looking over her shoulder in an imitation of coyness, she continues talking "You're a bit young to be a village elder, aren't you?"
  22.
  23. >Ah. That is true. "Life on the frontier is hard on our kind." you say in a tired voice, because that is true as well. She gives a little moan as she stretches lewdly.
  24.
  25. >"You'll be at the meeting as well. *You and I* have a lot to talk about" she says, her glassy wide eyes glimmering too brightly as she unrepentantly stares at you.
  26.
  27. >With another sigh, you nod and agree. The little Goblin tips her spiked hat with a wide and disturbing grin. "We live to serve, m'lord." she says before walking back to the rest of her band of armored mercenaries.
  28.
  29. >The next day you and the rest of the male elders are even further into the wilderness, as far away from the village as you could get the Goblins to agree upon. You fear that the Goblin force may keep the majority of troops at the village. The elders around you occasionally reassure you that the mercenaries won't have the self control for that.
  30.
  31. >Each of the grizzled hardened frontiersmen is willing to sacrifice themselves for the village in a very real way. You know the feeling, since you've volunteered for that duty yourself. It is why you're an elder at such a young age. Trying to trust in their wisdom you wait anxiously as the old men remain calm.
  32.
  33. >You are happy to note that your fears were groundless as the large group of mercenary mamono near your location. They must have left a skeleton crew of Goblins at the village, just enough to dissuade the women, children and younger males from escape attempts.
  34.
  35. >The dismount their horses and walk into range. The Goblin you spoke with yesterday is at the head of the crowd. She stands an arms breath away from you as she looks around at the arid forest of the meeting place.
  36.
  37. >"It doesn't look very entertaining out here." she says grinning, now even more glassy eyed than before. The mamono band with her gives several crude laughs. You look at the other elders, each with a vindictive grins on their faces. The oldest nods at you, they decided that you should be the one to say it. Feeling pride that they let you have the honor, you calmly meet your glassy-eyed admirer's stare.
  38.
  39. >"We don't think so either. Entertainment is easier for everyone with a good view." you say as you deliberately start unbuttoning your ragged work shirt. The leering Goblins cheer as you all start disrobing as slowly as possible. The short mamono toss their weapons and clothing aside eagerly and move even closer.
  40.
  41. >The Goblin is dragging you towards her by your still secured pants when the oldest elder in the back of your group blows the whistle. Surprisingly, the lust-filled Goblin has enough awareness to ask you what that was.
  42.
  43. >"Just inviting some friends to the party." you say, as the overwhelming number of Saurians start appearing from the forest, swords and spears at the ready. You grin at the little bitch as her lust turns to confusion. Life on the frontier is hard, and hard choices must be made. Whether you survive or ever see your village again is in doubt, but you all prefer the devil you know. The Saurians have shown that they can be satisfied by taking only the old and volunteers.
  44.
  45. >Your mamono allies quickly cut off the Goblins from their discarded weapons and clothing. Even now they are scuffling and fighting, you'd give the Goblins points for bravery if they hadn't effectively squandered your good will with their childishness.
  46.
  47. >You tap your Goblin admirer on the shoulder as she looks around with a mix of lust, anger, and confusion. She turns and you point at the Goblins falling before the Saurians. Even the Goblins that managed to seize their weapons have little chance against the powerful lizard mamono. The Goblin line is eroding quickly.
  48.
  49. >"Now that," you calmly say to the little mamono, now on the verge of panic, "is an entertaining view."
  50.
  51. Fin.
