- Councilman Doherty and Councilman Donohue:
- I have received many calls this morning regarding a picture that is on social media, depicting you, Councilman Donohue, dressed in what appears to be a security guard uniform and you, Councilman Doherty, cowering down as if you are being attacked and beaten, with the caption of "Happy Holidays".
- As Public Saftey Chair, I find this to be disrespectful and offensive to our Police Department and any law enforcement for that matter. While we have Police Officers throughout the country and even in our own city being shot at and murdered, this type of behavior from elected public officials who represent some of these very same men and women is unacceptable.
- Your attempt at a humorous Christmas Card at the disrespect of our police officers is disgusting and offensive, and I am calling for an immediate public apology.
