  1. tl;dr Dr Josef Kees is a real doctor, but also a quack who is breaking the law with false health claims on his website. He appears to be prescribing quack therapies (like amino acids) for imaginary ailments. If the amino acids he has prescribed are not a licensed medicine, it's probably an offence to sell them to his patients. He has donated to Scientology and has taken scientology courses. He turns up lots of google hits as a "specialist" in "treating radiation", but I cannot find any published research written by him (in other words, he is probably a specialist only in his own imagination). Many of the treatments he uses (such as kinesiology, vitamin megadoses and detoxification) are pure quackery with no scientific basis.

  5. I've been looking into Dr Josef Kees. He is, as he claims, a GMC- and CQC-registered doctor.
  6.
  7. He appears to run these websites:

  10. http://www.sussexmedicalclinic.co.uk/advanced-biological-treatments

  12. The first two sites are rather vague, but the third one is very likely indeed to be illegal because of the following misleading health claims:

With advanced medical research you can feel the purity and beauties of life once again. Advanced medical methods and techniques are applied: Advanced, state of the art medical diagnostics of organic diseases, organic dysfunctions, deficiencies, intoxications and infectious diseases. Advanced diagnostics of allergies and intolerances, treatment of allergies, intolerances and pseudo allergic reactions"

  21. UPDATE
  22.
  23. I just checked with someone who actually knows the law. Contrary to what I said, doctors are allowed to prescribe, import and manufacture unlicensed medicines; amino acids are likely to be classed as a foodstuff, anyway. What I said about the 3rd website being illegal still stands.
