- This paste exists so that I can comment it on a youtube video and be smarter than everyone else. You can too if you want :P
- To do this, you need a static.pack from your version of Splatoon and a working settup of Cafiine. I'm not going to tell you how to get those, there are other tutorials. You also need NWPlayer123's SARCTools, but you can get those off the internet. And you need python, by extension. Put SARCTools and static.pack in a folder by themselves.
- 1. Extract static.pack with SARCExtract.py. You can do this by dragging the file onto SARCExtract.py.
- 2. Edit the files inside the newly created static/param. If you care about keeping the filesize constant, use a hex editor. Otherwise, you can just use Notepad or another text editor. What you want is the weapon files, which have prefixes based on what type of weapon they are. There are also files controlling camera angles, animations, and even run and swim speeds.
- 3. Open a cmd in the original folder and put in "SARCPack.py static" to repack the folder. You should get static.sarc, which you can rename to static.pack, and replace it with Cafiine.
- It's really not hard to do this. You can edit things like damage, range, ink consumption, knockback, and even the values associated with drawing the paint splatters. You can also use these hacks inside the battle dojo by editing the associated files, and in the single player by editing the NormalShotMsn files. Just don't use these online, you will be banned and I will be mad at you >:(
- I recomend putting the knockback on the Msn gun to a ridiculous negative number and the ink consumption to 0. It makes the single player more interesting, to say the least.
