Leafia_Barrett: so I'm out of arrows and my other options are the Viper, the Mk1 Bo, and my Warframe's powers
Leafia_Barrett: all of which are doing single-digit damage a hit
Cadey: Yeah
Leafia_Barrett: while it literally shreds my shields in a single shot
Cadey: Sentients have that effect.
Leafia_Barrett: I am forced to kill it to progress.
Cadey: Do you have an ability on 5 yet?
Leafia_Barrett: no.
Cadey: Okay
Cadey: Well, I can join you if you're forced to restart or something
Leafia_Barrett: so I can't hurt it and I have to kill it.
Cadey: I can solve this problem pretty handily
Leafia_Barrett: this is literally the first sentient you have to fight
Leafia_Barrett: in front of the void gate
Leafia_Barrett: you are expected to handle it in some way
Leafia_Barrett: and I don't know what that way is
Cadey: It has 5 thresholds at which it adapts to damage types, and it adapts to the one that did the most damage. So, the idea is that you bring in a loadout that includes as much element variety as possible-- not on your melee weapon.
Cadey: Melee weapons are so dangerous to use on them
Cadey: When it adapts to damage, it takes 90% less damage from that element specifically
Leafia_Barrett: my melee weapon is the only thing I haven't used on it basically at all
Cadey: I did just about barely make it, I remember that much
Leafia_Barrett: I think it adapted to all physical damage purely because it was everything on my bow in any capacity
Cadey: Yeah, it adapts to physical elements, all 3 at once
Leafia_Barrett: it followed me on the elevator, I died there, and now it's stuck a floor above me
Cadey: Elementals though
Cadey: Anyway, abort and join me and I can help if you want

Cadey: Go ammo hunting?
Leafia_Barrett: it is between me and the rest of the map
Leafia_Barrett: on an elevator that I can't get to fast enough to shut the door in its face if I kite it all the way to the other side of the map first
Leafia_Barrett: ...it can't go down.
Leafia_Barrett: it is incapable of losing altitude.
