[23:59] <@flibbyjibbits> theres a tavern called the "black Apple", its one of the more popular ones in the district; the city watch doesn't really pay that much attention to it. partially due to the overall poorness of the people there, and also due to that a good deal of the population is elf and halfling immigrants and refugees

[00:00] <@flibbyjibbits> this particular tavern is fairly well known for its nightly summoner battles, sometimes even the guards that are supposed to be stomping out such things are betting on it. since today is a holiday, they're having all day long events all week
[00:01] <Eltrotraw> So, feeling good about myself, let's see if I up the ante a bit and bet something dumb like 50g on this next fight
[00:02] <Deathfish64> I'll just stand around looking excited
[00:02] <Eltrotraw> and while drinking up, I notice some PIKKUPSTIX who is hanging around and invite him over

[00:04] <Eltrotraw> don't want to jump the gun with any interactions here so

If you mean here as in right here, well" He chuckles a bit to himself "I'm a summoner myself, and something of a monster enthusiast."

[00:18] <Eltrotraw> Tombs flips a coin in his hand, casually glancing at the eagle head flying by. He smirks and look at this strange man. "If you're a summoner, why aren't you with them, with them monster enthusiasts?"

[00:21] <Deathfish64> "I have no interest in personal glory or winning money, I just want to see what kinds of eidolons other summoners have made.  You can tell a lot about a summoner based on their eidolons, you know."

[00:22] <Eltrotraw> What summoners are fighting- ah fuck it
[00:22] <Moonside> Or on the fact that they try to catch flying eagle heads?

[00:22] <Eltrotraw> "So what can you tell about this summoner?" Tombs smirks, gesturing at the severed eagle head that flew by. "That he's playin' his cards wrong, or what?"
[00:24] <Deathfish64> "Um..." Pikkupstix looks at the head that he failed to catch, now lying on the ground.  "I'm not sure, maybe he likes birds?"
[00:26] <Eltrotraw> "Ah, well, I ain't gonna stop bettin' yet," Tombs continues, getting up to place another bet. Before departing, he turns his head and holds his hands out. "Name's... Tombs. I'm Tombs the Gunman. Who're you?"
[00:28] <Deathfish64> "I'm Pikkupstix, nice to meet you, Tombs," he responds while accepting the Gunman's handshake
[00:29] <Eltrotraw> And so Tombs places another bet, let's say, 20g, onto the tab, and returns to his seat with the summoner
[00:29] <Deathfish64> Pikkup continues to excitedly watch the action in the pit
[00:30] <Eltrotraw> "Say," he asks when he gets back onto his seat, "What else are ya planning to do durin' this festival?"
[00:31] <Deathfish64> Is it safe to assume that I know about the reenactment thing?
[00:31] <Deathfish64> Like, as a general idea?
[00:31] <@flibbyjibbits> [roll: this match is a steamroll in your favor, there are no bits left to have even been launched dramatically into the crowd]

[00:32] <@flibbyjibbits> the only reason anyone might not have been is if, like moon's character, he or she pretty much never got outside
[00:35] <Deathfish64> "Well, I heard there's this reenactment of some famous battle going on tomorrow, and that a big dragon is involved, and I think that would be a very interesting thing to see," Pikkupstix says to the gunman.
[00:37] <Eltrotraw> He laughs, flipping another coin. "Only interested in seeing? What if I gave ya an opportunity to be a part of it, if yer so interested?"
[00:38] <Deathfish64> The summoner's eyes lit up. "Really!?  That would be fantastic!  Do you have a team, then?"
[00:41] <Eltrotraw> He smacks his lips and toys with the coin for a moment, before simply saying, "Maybe."
[00:41] <Eltrotraw> (a check of some sort could be played here to note hesitation)

[00:42] <Moonside> Are you sure that was me and not the dice, flib?

[00:52] <Eltrotraw> "Ever hear of this 'discount curse removal' shop?" he asks, pointing out the location on the town map he'd just pulled out.
[00:54] <Deathfish64> He looks at the indicated place on the map.  "Oh, that place!  Everybody's heard of Sisle and Sikle's Discount Curse Removal."
[00:56] <Eltrotraw> He grins and stows the map away. "Well, if you're interested, we've prob'ly got a few friends interested in this re-enactment."
[00:56] <Eltrotraw> ...of course I also forget when the thing was going to take place
[00:56] <Eltrotraw> the next day?
[00:57] <Moonside> Hmm... I was hoping to be able to keep a log of everything that happens, for future reference, but I dunno if it'll be possible.

[00:58] <Eltrotraw> noontime, I'd assume?
[00:58] <Moonside> Gnome guy said to be there at morning.
