14%s Leaderboards Vote

As some of you may or may not know, low% no major glitches in Super Metroid has a lot of different item choices you can make.

This poll isn't to determine whether or not those categories are legitimate categories, rather its to vote on how those 14% routes should be organized and presented on deertier and speedrun.com.

You can look for yourself how its currently organized, but the main idea of it is: each item choice route is a separate leaderboards.

This is option #1, to keep doing what we have been doing.

Now, some of you may notice at this point, that there are several 14%s that only a handful of people have completed or even attempted.

In order to keep the leaderboards clean and presentable, its been argued to possibly combine all of the different various 14%s into one leaderboard, and track them by routes (item choices).

There are two different ways to do this. One way is to have all the different routes obsolete each other for each runner, i.e. the fastest 14% completion is the only one shown on the leaderboard for each runner.

This is option #2.

The other option is to not let different routes obsolete each other, so each runner can have as many times submitted as there are 14% routes.

This is option #3.


Regardless of what happens, this does not mean that times that are currently on deertier would be completely ignored. For example, the wiki can handle leaderboards for the lesser run 14%s, if that is what is chosen to happen.
