- [20:10] The dragon had made landfall on an island. For those up to date with history, it's Zheng Island!
- The beast eyes Ethan yet does nothing. Waiting around while protecting its direct territory.
- (Kalurex the Blight)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [20:18] Having missed the group that had left to seek out the beast in order to ensure Koume wouldn't try to eradicate Eiphraem, Ethan made his way alone towards the north-east. Whether it was sheer luck or sheer misfortune wasn't too clear, but the young magi spotted a beast in the distance.
- He assumed the others would be here by now— they had left before him, after all. Approaching proved otherwise. Eyes darted from one place to another before he looked up to the massive beast. He knew he couldn't take something like that on alone; this was a dragon, after all. Lips parted, opting to use diplomacy. It was the only thing he could do.
- "Hey, big guy." He begun, thinking for half a second before leading with a question. "Are you alright? What's made you attack?"
- (Ethan Hawke)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [20:25] The creature? A massive dragon. It was already missing chunks of flesh. Shriveled internal organs and many odd bones in full view of Ethan. Electricity arcing between the bones and shocking the organs, causing them to expand and retract.
- Seems like the beast might've been one of Arthur's creations. A Dragon fueled on the elemental power of storms.
- It had landed in a grassy plain. If you looked close enough there'd be a tower. Peculiar.
- At Ethan's question, the Dragon would snarl and unleash a blast of poison smog and electric bolts, all flung his way.
- Of course the Dragon wasn't in any shape to fight so Ethan would have no trouble dodging.
- (Kalurex the Blight)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [20:32] Huh.
- Perseus has a rift spot here. If only he had known the destination, he might have been here far before the dragon had been, gigantic wings or not. Neat.
- Regardless, he's battle-ready the whole way through, and that certainly doesn't change once he arrives. Though he must wonder...
- "What kind of motivation could the Ghoul King actually have? There's no victory to be had in taking on all of Agartha save for Dawn. I don't really understand."
- (Perseus Kang)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [20:34] Reorienting along the trail of devastation and Nyphadora's guidance- Bubblepod or no, in the bracing crash of lunar mana enshrouding his form from Perseus' flowing touch, the Crafthold and Huangzhou contingent in pursue wouldn't be too far.
- The humidity and barometric pressure of a storm rings across the serpent's senses, his mouth still lolled open. No matter what race they were-
- The serpent crashes to a halt once the dragon is in sight amidst the tempest, a sharp hold your mana signatures thrust backwards. This might not be the stealthiest team, but they simply didn't have a full force to run in immediately.
- Maybe once he wasn't furiously keeping pace, he might be able to reply to Perseus as he leads.
- ah.
- fuck.
- Ethan.
- It looks like the wayfaring mage had split off along another route- And been where the dragon landed first.
- They'd still probablybe all-too-visible.
- (Eiphraem Kang)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [20:37] Chunks of flesh falling from this not-quite-alive beast were only half as terrifying as the view of its organs bared for him to see beneath weird, oddly-shaped bones. The electricity pulsing around its frame seemed to be what kept it standing.
- Poison clouds and bolts of lightning came rushing towards him with one rough breath. He most likely could've predicted that one would come, to be honest. Trying words with a half-dead beast like this one wasn't going to really work, even if he had been the greatest diplomat in the land.
- "... Oh crap."
- His right hand rose up. The young Wayfinder already knew he wouldn't be able to overwhelm the attack, though an attempt at dismissing it another way was made. Magical circles danced at his feet, glyphs quickly alligning themselves in a pattern that wasn't quite suited for travel before a portal appeared, just as it normally did.
- The show of spatial magic seemed to stand before the wide toxic breath as its contents were sent directly towards the lifestream - turning back into mana as they did and feeding it. The destination where the portal lead never had anyone cross through, though the attack had been diverted in some sort of way.
- Sweat dripped from the young spatial mage's chin. This... Wasn't effective yet. He shouldn't do it again, either. The drain on his own reserves and the long incantation had only been possible while not moving and with a wounded creature. Unless he could cast it like a spell, he'd avoid putting his life on the line with it.
- Thankfully enough the others arrived, just in time.
- "How did I get here before all of you guys?" He asked out loud, clearly a bit agitated by the solo encounter.
- (Ethan Hawke)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [20:37] As Eiphraem lead the way, the great mantis demon, now at the very least known to be a demon of some form to the others, remained out of it's electrical form, rather sizable arm-hooks holding two blades of electrical energy that zapped endlessly between two points to form a blade capable of cutting even through hard metals given enough backing force, and boy howdy could that sudden burst of force of a piercing strike deliver. But for now, it was told to withhold it's mana, turning off it's electrical aids of wing membranes and weaponry, opting to lower itself onto it's haunches, compressing itself into a smaller figure. Normally a tactic of submission and surprise, now simply meant for doing as it was ordered upon the battlefield, remaining unimposing.
- (Xolgamath)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [20:38] While he isn't quite AS fast as Eiphraem, Esso keeps close to pace far enough back that he can follow the archon as he moves. Less than a minute after Eiphraem crosses the river, Esso leaps across, landing in the grass between the river and the dragon.
- (Esso Naam)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [20:40] Sinael hung behind the group, he opted to press back further with the message given. He looked backward while creeping along the bushes. He likely had already been seen by the thing.. but the thought of it losing sight of him was sounding more rewarding than anything right now.
- He watched as the group set up what seemed to be like a battle formation.
- Somehow, in the face of this dragon he felt safer than he did earlier. A bit extreme, but death was probably better than being held captive.
- (Sinael Anauel)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [20:40] Nakiri made her way alongside the others at the back of the ground, she wouldn't be travelling as fast as the snake man for certain. With enough time they'd all arrive at someone unknown island to herself. She spots a familiat man there. She stared at Ethan when he questioned how he'd gotten here first.
- "I wonder how..."
- (Nakiri Reiha)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [20:41] The Dragon.
- again.
- "I... didn't think it'd land so- so close. Thought it'd just flee to... wherever." Perhaps it was simply far too injured to retreat back to its intended location, or maybe there was something significant here? A quick look around their surroundings didn't give Mikhaila much of a hint.
- Nonetheless, she brandished her weapon again.
- (Mikhaila Elisheva)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [20:41] The Fae followed along! Or was dragged along, rather- until they finally arrived, presumably a halt that would allow her to escape the bubble of water keeping her with Eiphraem.
- "Cannot speak for someone I have not met, Perseus!" She took big breaths, she was quite scared of being in water it would seem, "But some people in pain just wish to inflict pain…"
- A biiig sigh escaped her, attention shifting to the Foe at hand.
- "But still, cannot help but to be a bit impressed- To create something with this much power, mm." A smirk.
- (Nyphadora)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [20:42] Est's inexperience with magic and her unstable physiology made it somewhat difficult to suppress her mana signature - but as Eiphraem commanded it, she tried her hardest. Her form stabilized as best it could, although she wasn't nearly as good at keeping pace on her feet, rather than gliding along with the mist that surrounded her.
- Keeping her legs solid was arduous, and as she fell behind the entire group it showed. Still, if nothing else, she wouldn't be a blip on the radar anymore. She only hoped Ethan wouldn't blow their cover.
- "...How did you get here before us."
- (Est)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [20:43] Perseus really can't suppress his mana signature right now. Let's be perfectly honest. Sorry, Eiphraem.
- (Perseus Kang)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [20:43] Slowly they'd just follow alongside Zeriel, all the while makin gusre he was within arms distance to Nakiri. Seemingly protective over the girl, it was only once they reached the Island did the rather sizeable dragon made its form shown. A pause is given, Sun retreating to set himself right next to Naki.
- "...Looks like we found it Naki."
- (Sun Heifang)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [20:43] "Maybe being able to jump from location to location with the help of portals had something to do with it?"
- Noel's answer to Ethan's question comes with a skeptical look. Had he really just gotten through with a solo bout against the dragon? It was really cool, but it still wouldn't be enough to gain the Elisheva's approval to date Magdalen.
- Yikes.
- His eyes focus on the titan of a creature next - a hand moving back to grip the hilt of the blade on his back. He had plenty of questions about it, and even more about its master. But after seeing how much damage it had brought to Huangzhou in such a short amount of time, Noel can only assume that chaos was the only thing the dragon was capable of.
- "Can you walk, Ethan?"
- (Noel Elisheva)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [20:46] Nyphadora says, "Odd, I think I feel some love in the air..."
- [20:48] {NARRATION} Kalurex was in the process of assaulting Ethan! Letting loose it's terrible breath. A combination of poison smog and pure lightning.
- It was very content in smacking down Ethan, but when an entire group of Magi showed up, its confidence shrunk. It couldn't fight these numbers in its weakened state.
- A great draft of air would form and propel the Dragon upwards, back into the sky. Kalurex's master still had use for him. So he'd rather not die twice.
- The Dragon would soar far away. Ultimately a bittersweet victory as with him gone the island becomes a bit more clear.
- And a gigantic tower is visible. Encircled by rot and swarming with undead. This was, more than likely, the Lair of the Ghoul King.
- [20:48] fly away
- (Kalurex the Blight)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [20:49] I have no chance to catch it.
- (Esso Naam)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [20:49] wait lets try this again
- (Kalurex the Blight)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [20:49] it worked for ikkaku
- (Perseus Kang)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [20:49] Nyphadora frowns heavily.
- (Nyphadora)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [20:49] turbo
- (Mikhaila Elisheva)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [20:49] it didn't work for pk
- (Est)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [20:49] alas......
- (Eiphraem Kang)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [20:49] Still not even a chance.
- (Esso Naam)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [20:49] Who knows.
- (Nakiri Reiha)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [20:49] Jump from the trees.
- (Sinael Anauel)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [20:49] Noel reaches out to easily cl-- oh.
- (Noel Elisheva)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [20:50] Clickity clackity, stabby hands flick out, but only when empowered by lightning did it even stand any chance in hell to even HURT the damned thing, let alone keep up.
- (Xolgamath)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [20:50] Is slow.
- (Sun Heifang)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [20:50] Gives a hopeless chase.
- (Zeriel Heifang)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [20:51] Ethan was definitely not catching that.
- (Ethan Hawke)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [20:51] im lowering this shit one more time
- (Kalurex the Blight)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [20:52] Now I have a chance.
- (Esso Naam)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [20:52] No chance.
- (Nakiri Reiha)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [20:53] Once more clickity clackity as wind seems to start dragin on the dragon. Still far too slow.
- (Xolgamath)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [20:53] Jumpman
- (Sinael Anauel)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [20:54] Ethan might actually be able to catch that one. wait.
- (Ethan Hawke)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [20:54] The serpent holds up a monstrous hand in spite of the memes., alongside a sharp, vibrant whistling flush from out the side of his gills. It rings through even the rain and air-
- DO NOT PURSUE.
- He slams down against the grass, pointing towards Ethan.
- "Please be careful and stick with the group." His voice echoes out amidst the chaos with the vocal stability of a stern schoolmarm, before the demon lets his gaze go towards the hazy view of the tower. Pupils adjust, slits go large- Then narrow.
- He glances over his shoulder towards the contingent, trying not to continue panting.
- "... I will need to rouse a proper task force for this." He speaks aloud in that echoing, mellifluous baritone; He sheathes the aged, black blade of Istvan once more, his eyes scanning out still.
- "Engaging now would be folly. We knoe where it is, now."
- "... Ethan, are you intact? If you are bleeding internally or dying of a curse I cannot see, try screaming incoherently. We have healers." He inclines his head towards Elisheva's wards!
- (Eiphraem Kang)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [20:54] puts his legs to use!
- (Noel Elisheva)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [20:55] Chases.
- (Sun Heifang)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [20:55] Xolgamath says, "The Law Speaker of Crafthold speaks true. It will no doubt come back when we reach it's masster."
- [20:56] {NARRATION} BTW I can totally give out rewards for the world event.
- And injuries :---)
- Middle no downs, left two+, right 1.
- [20:57] Mikhaila Elisheva exclaims, "We have the dragon in our HAND! We can do it!"
- [20:57] Mikhaila Elisheva exclaims, "It's half beaten anyway!"
- [20:57] Eiphraem Kang says, "... That's the dragon alone. It is retreating to it's master's domain."
- [20:58] {NARRATION} if you already got a reward i'll scream and yell if you line up to get another please don't ruin my LIFE
- [21:03] Before he even processed what Eiphraem said, he was already in the air, flying at the dragon. He'd snatched Mikaila with one hand and Noel with the other, and in the next second, they're landing atop the fleeing dragon.
- (Esso Naam)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [21:05] Well, Perseus certainly isn't about to directly refuse Eiphraem's orders!
- He's at the demon's side, but -
- ah
- fuck
- Esso.
- (Perseus Kang)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [21:06] Ethan allowed the magical circles to dissipate around him, breaking off into thousands of small green lights. A slow nod was given towards the snake-like demon as the Wayfinder got back up to a proper standing stance. His lips parted as he was about to give a status report to the far older man before eyes caught on to the flying Esso and his attempt at chasing the dragon. Sights snapped back towards Eiphraem.
- "We... Should make sure they don't die." He said. There was no way he could reach the beast that high up, however - at least not while it moved.
- (Ethan Hawke)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [21:06] {Item} You picked up Adamantite x3. Dropped by Nyphadora.
- [21:06] {Item} You picked up Earth Crystal. Dropped by Sun Heifang. .
- [21:06] Xolgamath whispers something.
- [21:07] Nakiri watched as the trio pursue the Dragon, looking to Ethan now.
- "Can't you take us?"
- (Nakiri Reiha)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [21:08] Xolgamath says, "This one thinks we should focus upon the master, while the hasted ones sseek after the minion."
- [21:08] Ethan Hawke says, "... I'm not that fast enough yet. I'd have to predict where it'll be when we arrive."
- [21:08] And suddenly, Mikhaila found herself being snagged by Esso. Abruptly, they were on the dragon's form -- hopefully they weren't going to be violently thrown off.
- "--aaaAaAaaaAAAAAH!!!"
- Despite the shout, she totally wanted to do this, yep. She wanted to fight it.
- (Mikhaila Elisheva)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [21:11] Nakiri Reiha says, "Hm.."
- [21:12] Noel's heart skips a few beats as he is pulled forward, eyes going wide. Eiphraem said that they shouldn't engage, but here they were, being thrown right back into the mix of things.
- Their options were to sink or swim, and Noel had a justified fear of drowning.
- "Wait, wait, wait!"
- At some point in time, the wings on his back grow exponentially, likely as a self-defense mechanism. With them comes a wave of unwavering confidence that would likely cause the teen to end up under the dragon in the coming moments.
- ".. Now I'm ready!"
- (Noel Elisheva)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [21:12] Two Angels and some weird fast guy. The only people in this group brave enough to fight the dragon.
- Or maybe Esso was the only one stupid enough and the Angels were unwilling? Either way they'd land on him and be brought a few miles away.
- The dragon would crash into the ground, unable to support all this extra weight.
- Kalurex would quickly unleash another burst of air. Pushing the three away while also lifting it back on it's feet. The dragon would roar before releasing another blast of lightning.
- [Restrained cap 2]
- (Kalurex the Blight)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [21:31] The three had given chase. A valiant effort, but in the end futile.
- Kalurex's storm had followed him and it would batter Noel, Mikhaila, and Esso. Hail storms, thunderstrikes, and many different tornados would ravage the battlefield. To add salt (or poison) to the wound, he'd also spread a terrible plague. Causing a great shocking sensation in any of those affected.
- The beast would swoop down infront of Mikhalia. Unleashing a terrible miasma which would encase her. Fully infecting her, before deciding it was time for a change.
- Wounded from the slew of swords, holy magic, and Esso swinging really, REALLY, quickly, the Dragon would make its escape.
- (Kalurex the Blight)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [21:37] She fought her best, but it simply wasn't enough -- not with these numbers. Even when overcharging her body with holy mana and taking flight with her enhanced wings, Mikhaila found that her end of the fight was too much for her. She flew around, conjuring forth holy winds, blasts of energy, and lances composed of holy magic to burn, slice, and cut into the dragon's body.
- Unfortunately for her, she was caught dead in the center of the dragon's terrible breath. A miasma of poison and lightning sprays her form in full, causing both electrical burns and poison to be absorbed into her skin and the cuts she sustained.
- With a pained cry, she fell to the ground with a mighty thud. The wings on her back dissipated as she laid on the ground in pain.
- (Mikhaila Elisheva)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [21:40] They weren't too far off of the mark. But close didn't cut it.
- Noel's form skids back across the dirt and grass of what was once Zheng island, flipping and bouncing at certain points. Rather than simply fading like they normally might, his wings remain intact, bending and almost breaking in some points due to the strain that had been put on them. But his own health hardly mattered.
- Once the cry of his sibling carries through the air, the demi angel forces himself back to his feet and starts to hobble towards her location with one eye swollen and his clothing torn and shredded.
- "Mik'..?!"
- (Noel Elisheva)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [21:42] Unlike the two demi-angels, Esso has no flight or long-ranged tricks to rely on. He scrambles across the dragon's back, stabbing it repeatedly until it shakes him off. It manages to brief shake-offs before finally throwing him off completely, leaving it in a duel with Noel's sister, Mikailha. Unfortunately, although Esso recovers quickly from the fall, he doesn't recover quickly enough to help her before the dragon releases its breath on her and takes off.
- (Esso Naam)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [21:43] Eiphraem hisses, audibly. He takes after them a bit too late once he realizes, with dawning horror, they're ACTUALLY CLINGING TO THE DRAGON SUCCESSFULLY.
- He emits a slew of mental jibberish as he shoots off into the air after them, but with the dragon going faster than his form, he's bound to fall behind again as the beast shakes them off and circles.
- Esso gets scooped up first, by one massive hand.
- He could doubtless already hear himself getting screamed at through the transceiver.
- He orients towards the two angels- Though they likely dropped farther along, racing towards them...
- (Eiphraem Kang)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [21:45] Perseus is not quite as enthusiastic as others may be. Danger isn't, like, a real thing to him right now. Not when it's not directly threatening anyone who fully registers as a person in his mind.
- So as a result, he attempts to follow after and check on the angels and/or Esso and/or the undead dragon, but really, he's just going through the motions right now. This has been a relatively long day and he is sleepy.
- (Perseus Kang)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [21:46] The mantis demon does not move to break the fall of the fallen and falling, those that moved forward knew well the risks when they charged forward, perhaps however the one that was deemed Law-keeper, Esso, was to blame for the harm of this one. T'was he directly, that disobeyed the law-keeper's orders and brought the other mortal harm through their failures. A sin of disobedience that would add a speck of flavor to the boy's body should the day ever come that the demon would feast upon it. It was not law spoken, after all, by the Law-speaker that was Eiprhaem, simply wizened caution.
- Though the disappointment held firm in the demon's essence at the disobedience opposed to the perceived 'failure', they had managed to cause the dragon to retreat away, hopefully before the Ghoul King had chance to do escape itself. They had a task to complete after all. And this brought a miniscule amount of approval at their task as a whole cohesive unit. But now was not the time. There were bigger fish to fry so the saying goes.
- The demon then turned and began a slow shamble towards the tower in hopes that the others would soon after follow.
- There was such sinful flavors waiting just within, and he wanted to taste it all. He wanted to inflict agonizing punishment.
- (Xolgamath)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [21:46] Ethan's right hand reached out towards the beast as it moved in to attack Mikhaila. Even at a distance there had to be something he could do, right? Green mana covered his fingertips as he made yet another attempt at opening a portal, though this time it needed to be fast— faster than before.
- It fizzled out in the process. It was clear the young man needed a lot more work if he ever wanted to reach the next level. His wayfinding may be top-notch but he was far from able enough to begin using that branch of spells.
- The poor girl being dropped down to the ground and wingless was definitely difficult to watch. It could've been different if he had worked harder and focused on his studies as much as he used to.
- (Ethan Hawke)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [21:47] Not fast enough--
- A quick, frosted breath escapes outwards, but even as Esso aims to dart off with two Elisheva tugged along, Zeriel wouldn't particularly slow his pace down.
- Closer, and closer. It took some time, but... by the time the Shogun did find himself by the spot of battle, he could only glance upon the Dragon's retreating back, and-- fallen combatants.
- No attempts are made to halt the undead's escape, this time around, and Zeriel instead would rush to the Elishevas-- MIkhaila, in particular, who appeared to be wounded to a far greater degree.
- Eyes narrow a tad, and his palm is soon placed along the blonde's forehead-- magic tugs along, regulating the temperature, as forces of lifestream in itself seep through all the same. The soothing effect aside, they're meant to assess the damage present-- just how severe the injury was. The amount of foreign mana present.
- "How bad are yours? Can you move about?"
- Murmured words directed towards Noel, but he wouldn't allow his focus to stray from the other demi-angel, if anything.
- (Zeriel Heifang)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [21:48] Est pursues alongside her master and Peacekeeper, naturally, but as she hadn't anticipated Esso's immense stupidity she, too, is too late to the party to influence anything at all. She continues keeping pace alongside Eiphraem, potentially to assist with carrying what she can only imagine will be maimed angel children.
- The reality isn't that bad, at least.
- (Est)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [21:48] Perseus probably would have done what Esso did, if he were perfectly honest with himself.
- (Perseus Kang)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [21:49] Est would have too, yeah, but orders are orders and all.
- (Est)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [21:50] Nyphadora has latched herself onto Perseus yet again!
- (Nyphadora)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [21:52] The exertion and pain she was in had her breathing as if she had just resurfaced from water, though occasionally the girl wretched -- was it from the poison? She was sweating and felt sick all over; hitting the ground and being electrocuted didn't help her much, either. Zeriel and Noel are met with a simple, but frantic sounding sentence.
- "It- it... it hurts, it hurts. It hurts everywhere-"
- And boy, did it hurt. She hadn't experienced pain like this before.
- Such is life for a warrior.
- (Mikhaila Elisheva)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [21:53] Perseus Kang says, "Well, you at least know you're alive."
- [21:53] Perseus Kang says, "Let's get out of here."
- [21:53] Xolgamath says, "Time is of the essence, Mortals, Law Speaker.. THe tower lies before us."
- [21:53] Perseus Kang says, "... yes, and we return with an army."
- [21:53] Xolgamath says, "We have Routed the beast away. The master will likely move from it's post should it not be dealt with now..."
- [21:53] Nyphadora ponders whether this would be worth spending her Blessing. Would probably be too weird.
- (Nyphadora)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [21:54] Nyphadora whispers something.
- [21:54] Nyphadora whispers something.
- [21:55] Perseus Kang whispers something.
- [21:56] Nyphadora whispers something.
- [21:56] He's behind Zeriel, neatly hoisting Esso and trying to give the man a moment to his feet- Scooping him into the lengths of his massive tail as he slides forwards.
- He sees the girl retching.
- Unless stopped, he darts over, hands going into his padded satchel. A small vial is withdrawn from in a box within, the lid clicking open from inside the bag, and a twist of his wrist calls water into it.
- He's rummaging through his pouches with his free hand, looking for a powder...
- "Can you banish the pain, Noel, Zeriel, while I work?"
- Fortunately- Treating something like this FAST, before they make their exit, would make this far easier. The serpent, of all things, had something for this, and getting it in the first few minutes might save her months of aftershock.
- (Eiphraem Kang)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [21:58] Perseus Kang whispers something.
- [21:58] Nyphadora whispers something.
- [22:01] Eyes drift close-- and there's a way Arcane energies would practically pulsate through, aiming to bring a soft, brief sense of ease. To somewhat soothe the pain, even if temporarily so.
- Then, a nod is offered.
- "Traversing all the way back with... her in such condition wouldn't be ideal. While... woods aren't particularly the best place for medical procedures, this..."
- A pause, and he'd allow his eyebrows to knit along. Presence of foreign mana-- poison. Alongside minor burns on surface, it... well, these were the kinds of injuries Zeriel specialized in.
- Though, before he could continue, Eiphraem's words echo, and a blink is offered.
- "I can... offer the aid from stream, and eliminate the presence of poison almost completely-- cleanse the infection. Shouldn't be much of an issue, but... should take about quarter of an hour. Though, without proper anesthesia, the process in itself would be somewhat... painful. Until it's done. "
- Ah...
- "Not really good with brews however. If you have a more efficient method instead, I can ease the pain until you're done, yes."
- (Zeriel Heifang)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [22:01] Noel eventually rises back to his feet and makes his way over to his sibling, bumps and bruises littering his form.
- Despite understanding the basics of medical treatment - a skillset he had picked up from Magdalen, Noel knows little about how to assist, even with Eiphraem's request. It was just something that his magic did when he wanted to help those around him.
- This time would be no different.
- From his outstretched palm comes a controlled wave of holy water that aims to locate the wounds and primary sources of pain on Mikhaila's body to soothe them. If that isn't enough, the chilling sensation of the Elisheva's ice magic aims to work in tandem with Zeriel's movements.
- "Right. Ah.. Sorry if we let you down, Eiphraem. Esso."
- (Noel Elisheva)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [22:05] She doesn't react further to the words spoken. The state she was in was agonizing -- her eyes were shut tightly and her teeth were gritting against each other. All she wanted was-
- ...treatment. Noel and Zeriel's efforts help some, but it was still a far cry from absolute relief.
- Hopefully Eiphraem's efforts would prove more... permanent.
- (Mikhaila Elisheva)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [22:08] Esso looks pretty forlorn from Eiphraem's grip, and he slides back down onto his own feet as soon as he's able. He glances at Noel and shakes his head when the demi-angel mentions Esso's name in his apology, glancing over at Mikhaila. He'd made more than few mistakes in his haste, and while it is a lesson learned, it came with a price that Mikhaila paid when it should have been Esso paying.
- (Esso Naam)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [22:11] A pinch of more mundane, ground green, soft brown flakes, and a couple of droplets of honey...
- The ingredients are upended, pinched, and measured by eye into the tube. One thumb grips over the top aperture, and he shakes the compounds within violently- And magically stimulated, the water inside hisses and pops with a temporary, brief acidity as the serpent wills the chemicals to bind. It was simply his domain of magic- A cure was merely a poison taken in moderation, in the end.
- The contents of the vial become a filthy, grey, somewhat stickier mess- Like room temperature soda, and without any of the sweetness to make it worth even braving. Alas.
- It looks like really grainy, mud-flooded liquid rock.
- He puts it to Mikhaila's lips, trying to have her drink it.
- If she did-
- In a few moments, unfortunately, her entire gut would wrench more, as a bloody, mucousy ball of phlegm and contaminated fluids would be expelled after being 'called' into her stomach by the magic fluid. If she hadn't already finished vomitting the last of her stomach's contents, unfortunately, what was left would definitely follow.
- It would surely be vile, but it would probably be more pleasant than the aftereffects of having the toxins in her system run rampant.
- (Eiphraem Kang)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [22:17] Sinael Anauel whispers something.
- [22:17] Perseus Kang whispers something.
- [22:18] Perseus Kang whispers something.
- [22:18] The curious antidote was met with some confusion. Initially she could only recognize it by texture, but as soon as she opened her eyes just a tiny bit, she allowed herself to drink down whatever the sea-serpent just concocted.
- The effects hit her near instantly.
- Her eyes shoot open while she rolls onto her side. Gripping her stomach, she... well.
- She vomited.
- Out came some terrible amalgamation of poison, stomach contents, and trace amounts of blood. The act itself was exhausting, so after she let out all she could, she simply collapsed onto her back again, this time breathing a bit more softer than she was a few minutes ago.
- It had worked. Her pain was lessening and her vitals were returning to normal. All she wanted to do was rest now.
- (Mikhaila Elisheva)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [22:19] Noel Elisheva says, "... Gross, Mikhaila."
- [22:19] Sinael Anauel whispers something.
- [22:20] Sinael Anauel whispers something.
- [22:20] Ethan approached the center of the group, after Mikhaila dumped the contents of her stomach of course, before he spoke up— attention directed to Eiphraem.
- "Is it all done? Where should we go now?"
- (Ethan Hawke)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [22:20] Est says, "I... don't think we're in any condition to storm a tower today, unfortunately."
- [22:21] Perseus Kang whispers something.
- [22:21] Perseus Kang whispers something.
- [22:21] Sinael Anauel whispers something.
- [22:22] Sinael Anauel whispers something.
- [22:22] Eiphraem Kang says, "We should regroup. I will take care of- Gathering individuals, and coordination. I am certain I can count on assistance in this endeavor, but I am going to put my own forces upon the front line for this."
- [22:22] Eiphraem Kang says, "I am certain we can get our strongest."
- [22:22] Perseus Kang whispers something.
- [22:22] Eiphraem Kang says, "Hopefully with the dragon returning intact-"
- [22:22] Eiphraem Kang says, "He will not think to run."
- [22:22] Eiphraem Kang says, "... That, ah. Is why I requested we retreat. My apologies."
- [22:22] Zeriel Heifang says, "Mmh. You can count on the assistance regarding this-- and yes, Ethan."
- [22:22] Noel Elisheva says, "I-we want to help too."
- [22:22] Sinael Anauel whispers something.
- [22:22] Est says, "Given whoever's behind this lives in a garish tower, I don't think hiding was its goal anyway."
- [22:23] Eiphraem Kang says, "Tsk. Perhaps."
- [22:23] Sinael Anauel whispers something.
- [22:23] Eiphraem Kang says, "... I wish to learn the motive as equally as my Peacekeeper."
- [22:23] Eiphraem Kang says, "What a- Pointless repetition of violence."
- [22:24] Eiphraem reaches a massive, unpleasant hand toward's the young woman's shoulder, as she recovers from her stomach's sad rebellion. If he makes contact, he gives a faint shake.
- (Eiphraem Kang)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [22:24] Eiphraem Kang asks, "... Are you well enough to stand, or will you need carried?"
- [22:24] Mikhaila Elisheva says, "I... augh, uh."
- [22:24] The demon turns slowly to look at Eiphraem. Were they really going to wait for an entire army? These mortals moved so cautiously at times... It will likely evolve further by the time that comes.
- "I care not for the motivation, you may learn such, I care only for the Punishment..
- Very well." It turns from the tower and makes it's way back towards the Law-Speaker Eiphraem.
- (Xolgamath)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [22:24] Mikhaila Elisheva says, "I can- I can stand, just give me a second..."
- [22:25] Mikhaila sloooowly rises up. For now, she settles on one knee.
- (Mikhaila Elisheva)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [22:25] Perseus Kang whispers something.
- [22:25] Mikhaila Elisheva asks, "Nnn.. Now what?"
- [22:26] Noel Elisheva says, "Retreat and regroup, like Eiphraem said."
- [22:26] Esso Naam says, "This is my fault Mikhaila."
- [22:26] Esso Naam says, "I'm sorry."
- [22:26] Mikhaila Elisheva says, "Oh-"
- [22:26] Mikhaila Elisheva says, "...no, it's okay. It's fine, really."
- [22:27] Xolgamath says, "Remorse.. Such a sour taste, it is.. good for mortals."
- [22:27] Zeriel Heifang says, "Ethan, can you... wrap us over, or..."
- [22:27] Zeriel Heifang asks, "...too many people?"
- [22:27] Perseus Kang says, "Likely too many."
- [22:28] Zeriel Heifang says, "Or-- at least, wrap Mikhaila over. Though it's healed, probably better for her to not traverse."
- [22:28] Mikhaila stands up fully, but leans some of her weight against Noel.
- "I think I'm gonna go make a... a food- a sandwich or something, hm, hm. Maybe take a bath 'n... just relax for a little bit, yeah...
- ...yeah."
- (Mikhaila Elisheva)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [22:28] Eiphraem Kang says, "I would agree. I think the rest of us can make it, but- Getting her and likely Noel as well home, would be a priority."
- [22:28] Zeriel Heifang says, "Mhm."
- [22:28] Xolgamath says, "A food sandwich should be on the minds of all hungry mortals."
- [22:28] Xolgamath says, "I wonder if there is such a thing as a.. sin sandwich."
- [22:28] Sinael Anauel whispers something.
- [22:28] Ethan Hawke says, "Let's get going, then."
- [22:28] Perseus Kang says, "Hey, I've been there. Surprisingly tasty."
- [22:28] Perseus Kang says, "... but it has a poor effect on personality."
- [22:29] Perseus Kang says, "I don't recommend it."
- [22:30] Ethan stepped closer, offering a hand towards Noel. He was already carrying his sister, it'd be able to reach her, too.
- "Your home, yeah?" He asked.
- (Ethan Hawke)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [22:30] Mikhaila Elisheva says, "...I could make sandwiches for eeeeeeeeeeverybody..."
- [22:30] Mikhaila Elisheva says, "..yeah..."
- [22:30] Perseus Kang says, "I want to sleep."
- [22:31] Nakiri floats over to Ethan and placed a hand on his shoulder. He could do this. She believed in him.
- (Nakiri Reiha)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [22:31] Xolgamath says, "This one could not partake, as this one has been 'denied access' to the flower field in which it rested."
- [22:31] Esso Naam says, "I feel like I should make them for you as an apology."
- [22:31] Xolgamath says, "Tell the blue mortal that this one will spar with it when this one is 'damned well' ready."
- [22:31] Mikhaila waves her hand dismissively.
- (Mikhaila Elisheva)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [22:32] Nyphadora wakes up from her short slumber, "I too wish to sleep..."
- (Nyphadora)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [22:32] Perseus Kang says, "I might just fly home to Crafthold."
- [22:32] Perseus Kang says, "I'm getting impatient and fussy."
- [22:32] Noel Elisheva says, "Our home? Sure."
- [22:33] Est says, "I'll- come along."
- [22:33] Eiphraem Kang says, "Tsk. Give me just a moment."
- [22:33] Eiphraem Kang says, "Thank you for your assistance, Zeriel."
- [22:33] Sinael Anauel whispers something.
- [22:33] Eiphraem Kang says, "I am... Glad we could work together today."
- [22:33] Perseus Kang whispers something.
- [22:34] Eiphraem Kang says, "I'll part ways, and try to take my contingent home without fuss. I am glad things could go as cleanly as they did."
- [22:34] Xolgamath asks, "The taste of punishment was a succulent treat. We must all do this again! When is the next march of hostiles upon a land?"
- [22:34] Sinael Anauel whispers something.
- [22:34] Perseus Kang whispers something.
- [22:34] Est says, "Not again, ideally - we strike first next time."
- [22:34] Noel Elisheva says, "About that, Zeriel. I'd like you speak with you later, if I can have some of your time."
- [22:35] Xolgamath says, "Then this one will feast upon the guilty, if this one joins the fray."
- [22:36] Despite a considerable lack of mana Ethan didn't seem too worried about bringing so many people along. Over the past five years his skill had grown and his talent with spatial magic was definitely notable. Headaches were no longer present and the amount of people he could bring along only kept increasing. A familiar green light engulfed anyone touching Ethan directly and indirectly, their bodies being turned into nothing more than teal-green particles before they were sent directly into the lifestream, journeying towards a certain cliff.
- "Later, Eiphraem."
- He'd at least properly say goodbye to the archon who had spent most of the evening with him.
- (Ethan Hawke)
