Afterword

Hello there!! It’s everyone’s favorite Nagata KING Kouichi ♥
So the first volume of “Hey! Riki” has finally been released!! Yay!! I’m so happy!!
That’s right, I’m really happy!! This work was the debut of my teacher, Takahashi Hiroshi, and was something that somewhat of a legendary series lost to time due to its magazine getting suspended. I was really happy when I was asked if I wanted to revive the series, but I was really shocked as well at the same time.
I loved Takahiro’s manga so much, so I felt that being tasked with reviving his series was a bit too much for me to handle...
It’d be horrible if I ended up screwing it up somehow!
I’d be murdered by the 120 million Takahashi fans out there!!
...I might be exaggerating a bit, though. (laughs)
But that’s basically how impactful it was for me. Although I can still remember how all my worries were blown away when I re-read the original “Hey! Riki”. The answer is simple!! It’s just a really interesting manga!! I’m sure that not only Takahashi fans, but young boys and girls across Japan as well will be able to enjoy it!! It’d be a sin to not share the enjoyment of reading this work with everyone else!!
I am deeply grateful to have been given this chance to breathe new life into this work.
