  1. Daven was born on a sunny Thursday morning Feb 12, 1644 or there abouts, on the island of Bornholm. The youngest of four children of Vagn and Aase Jensen, a fisherman and baker. A childhood filled with being constantly relegated to the least desirable of tasks due to his age and standing in the family led to a particular type of isolation, when it was discovered at an early age that he had no aptitude for the sea his usefulness to the family diminished to the point where he was sent to live with his uncle outside of Copenhagen. His uncle, a herdsman, quickly discovered his seemingly natural abilities with animals. His proximity to a larger city gave him educational opportunities that his other siblings did not enjoy expanding his knowledge and interest in farming, commerce, and husbandry. With time and study his reputation for animal husbandry growing he eventually came to take over the operation of his uncles operation upon his death in 1668, the uncle having no male children of his own.His affinity for animals and their nature was ever present and developing throughout his life.

  3. Daven's relationship with his family never fully recovered, and after the death of his parents to sickness he never saw his siblings again. Some years later, the success of his business allowed him access to the more exclusive arenas of social life in the city, some eventual travel and a chance betrothal to the daughter of an aristocrat elevated his status further until the eventual encounter with his Sire, a woman he only knew as Deidre at first. While standing alone at a party she approached him, and started a conversation, his memory is somewhat scattered after that point. He remembers that he left with her that evening without so much a second thought, and in the 34th year of his life was Embraced.

  5. Over the course of the next few years he would learn much about the woman who had brought him over out of one part loneliness and one part belief he could give her perspective on modern life of the time. Learned of her many and storied travels over the course of six centuries, and of the sire who had recently risen from Eclipse once more. Learned of the Invictus, aristocrats of the dead, who knew her more properly as Alder Baroness Deidre Storr, Savage of the First Estate, Groom; childe of Alder Lady Balanca Trn, Unconquered Savage, Reeve. Not the most long-respected of lines, but well-regarded, especially for Gangrel.

  7. Life as Kindred paige to Deidre started off somewhat unpleasant for Daven. Expected to serve at her beck and call on one hand, while also maintain his ties to his previous life and access it afforded his new sire on the other. Attempting to return to his life though quickly showed to be difficult, with his new urges both terrifying and delighting him. Yet after a single encounter with his betrothed, and her reaction to the changes in him, he knew that he no longer had a place in that life. Eventually Deidre simply brought him fully into the fold and begun to guide him through his Requiem. Through her, he soon discovered his natural bond with animals had been somewhat enhanced it was more purposeful, more savage than before, even as he found the unique fluidity of his own shape as the birthright of his clan. And through her, he found the joys of the unlife of the damned. They feasted, they collected, she reveled in unlife anew through the novelty of his experiences.

  9. Years passed and his attentions returned to his interests; knowledge, and nature. Not the nature of the animals that walked upright, but the ones that tread on four or more legs, swam in the sea, or flew in the sky. Though he never strayed far from Deidre, and they never stayed terribly long in any one place. Over the years there were chance encounters with those who seek to destroy ones such as them, but none were as successful as a short, oafish, foul smelling man named Bartoli who having finally summoned a mob of 12 men trapped the pair in an earthen basement badly wounded and quickly losing ground he at least met his beast in the open, and without restraint. The bodies of the men, torn and tattered and a miscolored tuft of mane, in constant need of grooming, extending down his back as the souvenirs of his experience. While familiar with the passions of animals not since the first blind days of confusion had he come close to feeling what had just occurred, he spoke, he read, he came to understand what he had always felt just below the surface, and how it could be used.

  11. Not wanting to be found in such a situation ever again Daven began a rigorous study of both mind and body, the continued loyalty and dedication to his Sire, the extent to which he took to the building of skills and abilities drew the eventual attention of a Knight of the Thorned Wreath. He accepted entrance into a guild for training enduring the grueling trials and and instruction with difficulty but determination. Once complete he began his new life in a cell of the Order, and his duties took him from city to city, from crisis to crisis for many years. He managed to keep in contact with his Sire over time, their relationship diminishing to brief messages, the occasional remembrance, and infrequent request for assistance with sticky political matters.

  13. Through his training, and the years in service to the Order his abilities firm in the use of weapons, a growing appreciation of etiquette and politics, as in all manner of continued societal grooming brings benefit he began to recognize a growing isolation, a departure from his humanity which in someways served him as his tasks often required a detachment that aided in the quick resolution of sticky matters. In response to this he began cultivating relationships requiring less effort, that of animals. Easily understood creatures many well intentioned and some quite lacking the duality of mankind, particularly useful in city environments were the ever present, smart and easily mobile rat. Able messengers, astute and aware of dangers he learned much from them. For companions while he for a time imagined more noble companions, it was soon obvious that many would not pass with him through his orderly life and finally he was satisfied to create a small collection of clever, fierce, and stealthy ghouls which would suit him in, and while it has changed over the years the current collection is as such: a Crow, Kugsha, and Gambian pouched rat.

  15. For the last half century or so Daven has found himself in London, joined with the Vigilia Noctis, tasked with duties regarding the protection of the Masquerade. A task he was happily executing with aplomb right up to the days the city fell to chaos with the Ventrue falling to frenzy. He, Amara, and their third of their cell were hard-pressed to keep the remaining Invictus of the city safe, especially when Alder Baroness Whisper insisted on staying to try and contain the troubles from spilling out into the mortal world. When finally an attack led to the third of their cell falling in salvation of Whisper's childe, Lady Ariabella, the Baroness called the retreat, and insisted despite his urge to try and stay and fight. Loyalty's led him to stay with his coterie now as they've come across the world to a place the Baroness and Amara were more familiar with and considered haven. Here we come, San Francisco.
