  3. [4/19/2018 10:51:11 AM] jon: Whenever we’re ready to proceed, making this chat. If we have to wait, no problem, just having it ready to go.
  4. [4/19/2018 10:51:22 AM] *** jon has renamed this conversation to "Han-Eadni Hyperwar Act I" ***
  5. [4/19/2018 12:12:51 PM] Stereo Czar: This is an ordeal mostly handled by you two.
  6. [4/19/2018 12:13:02 PM] Stereo Czar: "Mostly". I will be still here and do my piece of course.
  7. [4/19/2018 12:19:53 PM] jon: Alright
  8. [4/19/2018 12:20:03 PM] jon: Wool coat, whenever you wanna start, we can.
  9. [4/19/2018 12:20:04 PM] Alex Wolcott: gimme a bit
  10. [4/19/2018 12:20:13 PM] Alex Wolcott: busy today and of course I need to sort some things out
  11. [4/19/2018 12:20:19 PM] jon: Mhm
  12. [4/19/2018 12:29:08 PM] jon: I’mma do the opening emote, respond at will.
  13. [4/19/2018 12:29:17 PM] jon: ——
  14. [4/19/2018 12:31:02 PM] jon: Han Scanners on Xin’Xian and elsewhere would begin to pick up signatures on the edge of the Yugou system. Two large signatures warp into the system first, followed by the rapid appearance of an additional fifteen large signatures.
  15. [4/19/2018 2:15:13 PM] Alex Wolcott: Seemingly no response comes from the Han, at first. But as if in greeting, a single ICBM launches from the facility surrounding Laandaalir Triat, and rockets toward the largest Eadni signature. There appears to be a small quantum transmitter attached, blasting rousing communist music.
  16. [4/19/2018 2:15:15 PM] Alex Wolcott: https://youtu.be/t5q4cL9qZQI?t=15s
  17. [4/19/2018 2:16:55 PM] Alex Wolcott: ((doing other stuff as well but I need to sort out numbers, and today's busy
  18. [4/19/2018 2:19:33 PM] jon: The largest Eadni signature, a massive behemoth on far right of the formation, looms over the rest of the ships in the fleet. It does not act to intercept the missile, instead a smaller ship a few ships down the formation would attempt to intercept it.
  19. [4/19/2018 4:39:33 PM] Alex Wolcott: As the missile streaks towards the Eadni ships, the invaders' sensors probe the system, and detect motion. While they detect the signatures of six warships orbiting Beijing Stronghold, they do not appear to be moving.
  20.
  21. Movement is detected, though, on the moon Shiguo, on the opposite side from the Laandaalir. A single corvette turns to the enemy fleet and begins to approach, and as it does it is joined by 400 fighters launching from hangars hidden there, which move in its wake.
  22. [4/19/2018 4:40:46 PM] Alex Wolcott: They do not appear to be modern fighters, but they nevertheless appear quite determined.
  23. [4/19/2018 5:00:18 PM] jon: While the ships in the formation do not move, the carriers in the fleet begin to unleash their squadrons. 300 Saqr II fighters along with 200 X8 Bombers are deployed from the carriers in a matter of minutes. Rather than remaining with the fleet however, the aircraft engage their thrusters and move to engage. The Eadni fleet remains relatively motionless on the edge of the system with a volley of cruise missiles moving to intercept the ICBM before it reaches the Eadni fleet proper. A squadron of five Saqr IIs also move to intercept the missile.
  24. [4/19/2018 5:00:40 PM] jon: [You can decide if it’s intercepted, don’t really need too much moderation for that.]
  25. [4/19/2018 5:34:02 PM] Alex Wolcott: The missile is of course easily destroyed, but the corvette continues on, in the midst of its fighter swarm. As shields are brought up and they draw closer to the Eadni group, the warships closer to Yuguo get into their own formation, but remain in position.
  26.
  27. The rousing music cuts out with the ICBM, and the last thing the Eadni hear from the Han comes in a short transmission from Beijing Stronghold.
  28.
  29. "If you have come here to swear allegiance, now is the time," comes an old voice in a dry tone. The fighters are almost on each other.
  30. [4/19/2018 5:34:05 PM] Alex Wolcott: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SlcUwUwjLrs
  31. [4/19/2018 5:34:18 PM] Alex Wolcott: [I can start the engagement too if you like]
  32. [4/19/2018 5:37:01 PM] jon: [Ight, I’m ready]
  33. [4/19/2018 5:38:27 PM] jon: [BTW
  34. [4/19/2018 5:38:48 PM] jon: [The idea is the strike craft are intercepting yours well before the Eadni fleet is even in visible range]
  35. [4/19/2018 5:38:56 PM] Alex Wolcott: [Yeah, got it]
  36. [4/19/2018 5:39:09 PM] jon: [My fleet rn is just sitting at the edge of the system]
  37. [4/19/2018 5:41:10 PM] Alex Wolcott: As the two groups are about to enter range, every single Han fighter comes to a screeching halt, switching their thrusters to full reverse. As they suddenly drop back, the corvette screams forward at full power, rocketing into the Eadni formation.
  38. [4/19/2018 5:41:42 PM] Alex Wolcott: But before the small ship can be destroyed, a massive energy reading is detected from within it: a pulse which sweeps over the surrounding fighters.
  39. [4/19/2018 5:42:48 PM] Alex Wolcott: As the EMP expands outward from the corvette, it finally opens fire with plasma weaponry and point defense, and the old Han fighters again resume their attack, falling upon the Eadni group.
  40. [4/19/2018 5:42:54 PM] Alex Wolcott: [This is where we need moderation]
  41. [4/19/2018 5:42:59 PM] jon: [Indeed]
  42. [4/19/2018 5:43:17 PM] jon: [Idk how shielding reacts to a conventional EMP blast]
  43. [4/19/2018 5:45:12 PM] jon: [Aside from that though, we’d take conventional measures]
  44. [4/19/2018 5:49:09 PM] jon: Reacting to the movements of the Han fighters, the onboard combat assistants [VITC-I, Aziza Assistant] would act in a matter of seconds. They take over for their pilots, immediately diverting as much power as they can to shields while the fighters drift apart from one another.
  45.
  46. Regardless of the result, the Eadni fleet remains complacent, sitting back and witnessing [whatever happens].
  47. [4/19/2018 5:50:14 PM] jon: [[I suppose we’ll pause here until we have a reaction from Czar, I legitimately don’t know what effect an EMP has on shields or if I just dicked myself haha]]
  48. [4/19/2018 5:50:30 PM] Alex Wolcott: [Shields are the proper defense, apparently.]
  49. [4/19/2018 5:51:14 PM] Alex Wolcott: [But we'll see what happens, these are special EMPs]
  50. [4/19/2018 5:52:19 PM] jon: [Saqr II’s have dual-phased shields, the X8’s have tri-phased]
  51. [4/20/2018 4:56:55 AM] Stereo Czar: The energy pulse brightly flashes upon contact with the shields of the ships, marking them clearly, but has no other effect than that it seems. They remain fully operational.
  52. [4/20/2018 5:18:33 AM | Edited 5:18:38 AM] jon: Immediately after the pulse is released, the a group of bombers begin to savagely assault the corvette, darting around it and dropping their payloads. The onboard computer manages its defense systems, firing the Rattler Gatling ball-turrets against any assaulting fighters while the mass cannons begin to put a dent in the corvette itself.
  53.
  54. Once over the corvette, the some bombers release part of their payloads.
  55.
  56. In the meantime, the Saqr II’s reallocate their power and begin their assault. Thanks to their mass cannons, they have a long reach and Aziza begins targeting the old Han fighters at range. One by one, the Eadni fighters begin opening up with volleys of heavy cannon fire as they close the distance with the Han.
  57. [4/20/2018 10:39:38 AM] Alex Wolcott: Their plan foiled, the Han models nonetheless fight with fanatical abandon. Though outmatched and outnumbered, none try a futile gesture to disengage. [I assume] each and every one is soon destroyed.
  58. [4/20/2018 10:41:04 AM] Alex Wolcott: And then, the system goes quiet.
  59. [4/20/2018 10:41:37 AM] jon: [Yeah, I’ll wait to know what’s good w/ the corvette, if we knocked it out in short order, what casualties are and such, so I suppose this is a Czar moment.]
  60. [4/20/2018 10:47:03 AM | Edited 10:47:12 AM] jon: @Stereo Czar
  61. [4/20/2018 12:57:14 PM] jon: Thanks to Allah and the Old One, the casualties are determined. After a long dogfight, the Eadni fighters dispatch their Han counterparts rather efficiently. The Eadni fighters take a total of 40 losses, leaving 260 in the fight. 20 bombers are lost, leaving 180 remaining to continue the fight. The Han lose their Type 091s, littering the fringe space of Yugou with debris.
  62. [4/20/2018 12:58:22 PM] jon: The Han corvette used to conduct the EMP blast is dispatched by a bomber squadron, exploding in a brilliant flash of light that helped take out two or three of the Eadni fighters and a single bomber.
  63. [4/20/2018 12:59:56 PM | Edited 1:00:02 PM] Alex Wolcott: The system goes quiet over the next few minutes. The Han seem to do nothing, observing the next moves of the Eadni fighter squadron.
  64. [4/20/2018 1:06:23 PM] jon: The Eadni fighter squadrons and bombers stay within the debris field. Scanners on the fighters begin to analyze data from the wreckage, beaming it back to the carriers from which their based.
  65.
  66. Aside from that, not much occurs. The Eadni fleet begins slowly advancing, the various signatures becoming more easily identified on radar. Judging by the size of the signatures, it would appear that the Eadni have brought a Dreadnought, two Heavy Cruisers, a pair of Carriers, five heavy cruisers, 3 destroyers, a frigate, and a ship of massive proportions similar in size to the Ar’Gakari Titan the Han witnessed last year.
  67. [4/20/2018 1:31:25 PM] Alex Wolcott: The Han wait.
  68. [4/20/2018 1:31:29 PM] Alex Wolcott: And wait.
  69. [4/20/2018 1:32:07 PM] Alex Wolcott: If the Eadni continue roughly half the distance to Yuguo, there is a response.
  70. [4/20/2018 1:37:24 PM | Removed 1:45:00 PM] Alex Wolcott: This message has been removed.
  71. [4/20/2018 1:38:49 PM | Removed 1:45:03 PM] Alex Wolcott: This message has been removed.
  72. [4/20/2018 1:45:17 PM] Alex Wolcott: [I guess I shouldn't assume that you do.]
  73. [4/20/2018 1:45:46 PM] Alex Wolcott: [It's nothing too special, but should do it properly.]
  74. [4/20/2018 2:06:40 PM] jon: [Sorry, back.]
  75. [4/20/2018 2:07:51 PM] jon: Suddenly, the Eadni fleet begins to erratically disperse. Two signatures disappear from the system, warping out to safe harbor well beyond Han reach. It an be determined that these were the two carriers, having delivered their payload, they have no reason to stay.
  76. [4/20/2018 2:11:30 PM] jon: A group of fifteen fighters returns to the main fleet, and that is when the fun begins. After delivering data they recovered, the Titan, escorted by two heavy cruisers, 2 Destroyers, and a frigate, drift out, moving to the west of the Han’s space.
  77.
  78. Not long thereafter, the five Light Cruisers (typo in the OG post), along with a sole destroyer, fan out to the East. Both advance toward Yugou from either side.
  79. [4/20/2018 2:12:02 PM] jon: The fighters and bombers remain in the debris field, barely advancing toward the Han, but none-the-less moving slowly.
  80. [4/20/2018 2:14:18 PM] Alex Wolcott: With the enemy fleet entering its attack run, the small fleet orbiting Beijing Stronghold forms a tight formation. Sensors now indicate it consists of one battleship and five destroyers, all of Utopian design. But the sides of the ships have been painted with the Imperial eagle, and any bits of intercepted radio chatter would clearly reveal that these ships are not commanded by Utopians.
  81. [4/20/2018 2:15:02 PM] Alex Wolcott: The group turns its bows toward the lighter group in the east, and sallies forth with shields and weapons online.
  82. [4/20/2018 2:16:37 PM] Alex Wolcott: At the same time, more fighter launches are detected from hangars built into the sides of the plateau holding Beijing Stronghold. In total they number 600, and they do not appear to be of the same model as the type 091s.
  83. [4/20/2018 2:17:10 PM] Alex Wolcott: Rather, if the Eadni had the proper intelligence they would recognize them as the latest model of the Edonian Provectus line.
  84. [4/20/2018 2:18:09 PM] Alex Wolcott: They too join the sally, fanning out on the wings of the small Han fleet as it moves to dispatch the smaller of the two Eadni groups.
  85. [4/20/2018 2:18:15 PM | Removed 2:18:18 PM] jon: This message has been removed.
  86. [4/20/2018 2:18:34 PM] jon: (Am I good to emote?)
  87. [4/20/2018 2:18:40 PM] Alex Wolcott: [Go ahead]
  88. [4/20/2018 2:19:58 PM] jon: The group in the East prepares for the coming strike, veering far out to the Eastern edge of the galaxy, seemingly running away from the Han force.
  89.
  90. Meanwhile, the Titan-led group in the West sallies full steam ahead, steaming toward the planet Yugou on the side opposite from Beijing stronghold’s orbit. The fighters and bombers begin to move slightly faster, streaming steadily toward Beijing stronghold.
  91. [4/20/2018 2:20:27 PM] jon: The fighters begin to take formation around the bombers, forming large attack wings meant to shield the bombers from any enemy onslaught.
  92. [4/20/2018 2:20:50 PM] jon: The bombers themselves devote more power to their Rattler ball turrets, ready to engage enemy strike craft to support the fighters.
  93. [4/20/2018 2:20:55 PM] jon: [You’re up]
  94. [4/20/2018 2:22:44 PM] Alex Wolcott: The Han sally maintains formation to the East of Yuguo, not pursuing the eastern group so long as they keep their distance. It seems they are confident in the ability of the Han fortress to defend itself.
  95. [4/20/2018 2:24:41 PM] Alex Wolcott: They maintain this position as neutrally as they can, not overextending nor falling back. But still, the other Eadni groups approach.
  96. [4/20/2018 2:25:13 PM] Alex Wolcott: The reason for the Han complacency soon becomes clear, before the big guns can come within range.
  97. [4/20/2018 2:27:07 PM | Edited 2:27:40 PM] Alex Wolcott: As the Eadni heavy group approaches, they suddenly detect shield signatures behind them. The source is quickly revealed as 700 more of these fighters drop out of cloak.
  98. [4/20/2018 2:29:39 PM] Alex Wolcott: A few moments later, an additional 650 fighters are detected directly above the formation.
  99. [4/20/2018 2:30:01 PM] Alex Wolcott: Followed by another group of 650 fighters below them.
  100. [4/20/2018 2:31:08 PM | Edited 2:31:13 PM] Alex Wolcott: And finally, another group of 650 drops out of cloak directly in front.
  101. [4/20/2018 2:38:17 PM] Alex Wolcott: The time between the decloak and the first impacts is nearly nonexistent, as the fighters immediately target the enemy propulsion and weapon systems. Dropping out of hiding almost right on the enemy, they swarm over the group in a pass meant to wreak havoc before the Eadni can react.
  102. [4/21/2018 5:54:19 AM] jon: ((Ight, here’s where things get interesting, bear with me))
  103. [4/21/2018 5:55:42 AM | Removed 5:55:47 AM] jon: This message has been removed.
  104. [4/21/2018 5:59:00 AM] jon: The Eadni ships of the western formation burst into flame, suddenly erupting all around them. They seem to collapse into themselves, dissolving into nothing. They were merely a bunch of balloons towed by a group of Saqr II’s.
  105.
  106. The few Saqr II’s in the formation begin to engage the stealth fighters, but are all but marked for death, likely taking down just 1 or 2 Han fighters before being overwhelmed.
  107. [4/21/2018 5:59:52 AM] jon: Now the Eastern group steams full speed ahead toward the back of the planet.
  108. [4/21/2018 6:00:27 AM] jon: And the fighters and bombers, totaling 440 between them, begin their attack run on Beijing Stronghold.
  109. [4/21/2018 6:03:04 AM] jon: About half of the fighters target defensive emplacements, breaking off in wings of five or six and lighting up whatever defenses are on the station. The other half stay up with the bombing squadrons which are themselves forming long formations as they prepare to drop their heavy payloads on the station.
  110. [4/21/2018 6:04:00 AM] jon: A small group of bombers and fighters, about 30 total (20 fighters and 10 bombers), suddenly dive off, breaking into the planets atmosphere. They dart off toward Xin’Xian in a tight formation, ready to begin their own attack run.
  111. [4/21/2018 6:35:08 AM] jon: (Czar this is also likely where you come in)
  112. [4/21/2018 6:35:39 AM] Stereo Czar: ((Present, hello. Playing Stellaris a bit.
  113. [4/21/2018 6:36:08 AM] jon: ((Ight no problem, I just figure after these emotes there might need some judgement, idk))
  114. [4/21/2018 8:05:14 AM] Alex Wolcott: As the Eadni strike craft begin to approach the very core of the Han Dominion, Beijing Stronghold raises heavy siege shields over its entire plateau, waiting for their approach.
  115. [4/21/2018 8:06:07 AM | Edited 8:07:28 AM] Alex Wolcott: But before they can actually arrive, they meet yet another group of 650 cloaked fighters, which has been moving to intercept and immediately engages them to attempt to prevent them coming in range.
  116. [4/21/2018 8:11:42 AM] Alex Wolcott: As that fight enters full swing, the Han fleet staying close to Yuguo itself watches. Should any threat present itself, its own fighters and destroyers are prepared to respond.
  117. [4/21/2018 8:13:21 AM] Alex Wolcott: The massive group of western fighters, having mopped up the decoy, begins to speed back towards the Han capital.
  118. [4/21/2018 8:42:28 AM] jon: [Just gotta wait for Czar to see how the fight goes, the decoy was meant to buy time for the strike craft]
  119. [4/21/2018 8:44:13 AM] Alex Wolcott: [Intercepting group has been heading out there since the Eadni strike craft started moving in, so they're still a ways out when they get hit.]
  120. [4/21/2018 8:44:44 AM] Alex Wolcott: [But not so far out that they get hit before the decoy]
  121. [4/21/2018 8:47:21 AM] jon: Upon recognizing the shields have gone up, the Eadni fighters form up together with the bombers, forming a sort of diamond around the heavy craft, the Eadni strike craft engage with their Han counterparts, hitting them with everything they have in an effort to guide the bombers to their targets.
  122.
  123. Once over Beijing Stronghold, the bombers would begin dropping their heavy payloads of a series of guided bombs on their target, first moving to penetrate the shields and then actually do structural damage.
  124. [4/21/2018 8:48:09 AM] Alex Wolcott: [It's up to you how far out it happens essentially, but the closer in the faster the large fighter group can get back]
  125. [4/21/2018 8:49:05 AM] jon: The group that veered off toward Xin’Xian would barrel forward, diving into the stratosphere and flying toward the capital at as low an altitude as possible. The bombers drop small payloads on whatever rice fields and outposts they happen to pass over.
  126. [4/21/2018 8:49:47 AM] jon: [I’d say the engagement would begin relatively quickly, the window of opportunity here for my guys is small, as it should be. I brought the Western force opposite the side of the planet as Xin’Xian, though I imagine they were intercepted at a decent distance from the planet itself]
  127. [4/21/2018 8:49:53 AM] jon: [So very tight, I recognize that]
  128. [4/21/2018 8:55:04 AM | Edited 9:03:14 AM] Alex Wolcott: As the Eadni squadron screams over the soil of Yuguo, they detect a single corvette stationed at the city which quickly flies beyond its borders on a course to intercept. And as their intentions become clear, 100 of the eastern fleets fighter escort breaks off to catch them before they can make their way to the city.
  129. [4/21/2018 8:58:09 AM | Edited 8:58:38 AM] Alex Wolcott: The group in battle over Beijing Stronghold works as efficiently as it can, dogfighting with the slower and outnumbered but more heavily armed Saqrs as they carve open holes to get at the Eadni bombers. The shields surrounding the Han shipyard are strong, and powered by giant reactor banks deep within it that have nearly the entire Han xylorite stockpile as fuel.
  130. [4/21/2018 8:59:35 AM] Alex Wolcott: On the other side of the shimmering barrier, bristling railgun and point defense arrays begin to down fighters and bombers as well.
  131. [4/21/2018 9:01:38 AM] Alex Wolcott: [Don't think we can go much further without czar]
  132. [4/21/2018 9:05:47 AM] jon: [Me either]
  133. [4/21/2018 9:09:09 AM | Edited 9:10:35 AM] jon: The bombers, in response to the shielding, switch to firing their xylorite torpedoes rather than bombs, hitting the shielding of the stronghold with everything they have before switching back to bombs if/when the shields go down.
  134. [4/21/2018 9:09:50 AM] jon: The Eastern group of 4 Light Cruisers turns and begins barreling down, speeding toward Yugou from the Eastern side of Han space.
  135. [4/21/2018 11:31:05 AM] *** jon added Noah Booth ***
  136. [4/21/2018 11:31:17 AM] Noah Booth: Suddenly communications between the Han and the KUS are cut and the three KUS destroyers begin a sudden volley, they do not fire upon Han ships however, their guns have been targeted towards Xin'Xian, meanwhile the two KUS frigates unleash their entire armaments upon Bejing Stronghold and the three corvettes begin to fire on any Han ships in sight and attempt to shred any fighters aiming to buy time for the Eadni strike group.
  137. [4/21/2018 11:31:41 AM] Alex Wolcott: [M8 you aren't there.
  138. [4/21/2018 11:31:48 AM] Alex Wolcott: [It's six of dirty's ships.]

  146. [4/21/2018 11:34:37 AM] jon: [You’ll probably need to open up a new battle chat for for that. Ignore Noah’s emote Czar haha
  147. [4/21/2018 11:34:50 AM] Stereo Czar: ((Yes, I intend to ignore that.

  149. [4/21/2018 11:35:17 AM] jon: [[It seems I have been deceived by Noah’s shortcomings, lmao]]
  150. [4/21/2018 11:41:18 AM] Stereo Czar: Evading the retaliating fire from the Han forces, the bombers drop their payloads. Rapidly searing through the skies of the planet, they impact the shields of the stronghold, the Xylorite payloads causing explosions with massive blastwaves that whirl through the landscape. The explosions take away so much vision, that the stronghold seemingly has been swallowed by them. The bombers though are getting struck by blind fire now, as it pierces through the shroud of smoke. They zip past before it even clears and they can ascertain the status of the stronghold.
  151. [4/21/2018 11:44:26 AM] Stereo Czar: Just several kilometers away from the capital itself on the other hand, the Eadni and Han craft have reached weapons range, engaging in a messy dogfight so close to the surface, nearby houses and fields get ploughed and pierced with stray fire, with explosions following up from either falling and crashing fighter and bomber craft, or the bombs that are being dropped. Civilians trying to flee are mercilessly cut down whenever a window opens for the Eadni forces.
  152. [4/21/2018 11:46:01 AM] Stereo Czar: Nobody seems to have the upper hand yet.
  153. [4/21/2018 11:50:28 AM] jon: [[I’m going out for like an hour or two, Alex, you got next I would say, I just have a quick emote]]
  154. [4/21/2018 11:52:31 AM] jon: The Eadni bombers and fighters engaged with the Stronghold, after clearing the smoke, would begin turning around and prepare a second attack run, continuing to attempt to ward off the Han fighters.
  155.
  156. They know there is no turning back and that the carriers have left the system, they’ve been prepared for this and are fighting as savagely as possible.
  157.
  158. Meanwhile, the task force darting toward Xin’Xian continues to press forward with the fighters begin to fire salvos of torpedos out toward the city, aiming blindly
  159. [4/21/2018 1:19:29 PM] Alex Wolcott: As betrayals go on elsewhere, the Han continue to rip as quickly as they can at the Wairen scum. As the squadron above Beijing Stronghold turns for another pass, their opposing Han fighters set upon them from above as the stronghold fires based on whatever targeting data they can get.
  160.
  161. As the small number of Eadni craft in Yuguo's atmosphere appear to be holding out against superior numbers, another 100 fighters are committed from the fleet in orbit, to hunt down bombers which enter the city faster. It's unlikely any more can be sent though, as the fleet has to form up to meet the approaching Eadni ships. The remaining 400 fighters there wait on the wings of the 5 destroyers and battleship, and the force raises shields around itself and advances toward the enemy.
  162. [4/21/2018 1:19:56 PM] Alex Wolcott: All the while, the massive swarm of fighters in the west is sweeping in at full speed to wipe the slate clean.
  163. [4/21/2018 1:25:00 PM] jon: [It’s in Czar’s hands again]
  164. [4/21/2018 1:25:21 PM] Alex Wolcott: [We're in a warclaim]

  169. [4/21/2018 1:26:33 PM] Alex Wolcott: [You can imagine how one sided it is]
  170. [4/21/2018 1:26:48 PM] jon: [Yeah, very much so]

  184. [4/22/2018 6:44:01 PM] Alex Wolcott: [Yeah]
  185. [9:14:05 AM] Stereo Czar: The fighting drags on. Casualties, both military and civilian begin to climb. Dozens. Hundreds. The fanatical Eadni fire their whole arsenal at every inch or object of Han they can target or reach. Certainly enough the Stronghold begins to take direct hits, Xylorite loaded warheads eating into sections, destroying turrets, towers, corridors, hallways and other facilities. The outskirts and taller towers of the Han city are reached as well as stray torpedoes at first, but then more aimed ones begin to hit the streets and structures. People have already begun taking shelter, but there is only so much shelter and many a person was not prepared for a high-yield bombing run on such close range. Furious, the Han are shooting down one Eadni fighter after the next, littering the ground with corpses of combat craft and debris. But often enough one or the other fighter that crashes down simply explodes on the surface, still loading some live ammunition and payload on him. Or the pilots of the crashing craft directing it into buildings, firing and unleasing all weaponry they have left. Chaos and destruction is what they leave in their wake. Casualties are climbing still. And climbing. And climbing.
  186. [11:06:12 AM] jon: As their numbers begin to dwindle, the Eadni assault only becomes more savage in nature. Pilots who begin running out of ammunition deliberately steer their craft into buildings and the superstructure of Beijing Stronghold. Others dance about between buildings or over the surface of the stronghold, daring the Han pilots to fire and risk missing and doing damage to their own people or buildings.
  187. [11:10:11 AM] jon: Meanwhile, what aircraft that do have life left in them continue their brutal assault, mostly focusing their attention now on the Beijing Stronghold. The X8’s begin release whatever remains of their payloads before being shot down while the Saqr II’s that remain do what they can to allow the bomber’s to let out their dying breaths.
  188.
  189. The X8’s and Saqr II’s that manage to get into the airspace of Xin’Xian proper release their payloads on buildings with a volley of torpedo fire being directed at the Imperial Palace proper.
  190. [11:50:39 AM] Alex Wolcott: Beijing Stronghold is built into the very ice and rock of Yuguo's moon, but even in its deepest levels the Emperor can feel the shock, as the Eadni bomb its defenses and blow through the blast doors which cover the drydock trenches. But the defense is as intense as ever, and as the difference in numbers climbs the opposing Han fighters systematically hunt down the Wairen. Low-flying fighters surround the remaining craft, their targets called out by comrades above.
  191.
  192. Much the same situation plays out on Yuguo's surface, but even though the Eadni are even more vastly outnumbered there, massive numbers of Han perish by virtue of the location alone. The Imperial Palace is of course the highest priority for defense: for a bomb to hit the seat of the entire government would be an insult beyond measure.
  193.
  194. The Imperial fleet's battleship finally sights in on the Eadni light cruisers, and its main guns at last open the engagement with a salvo of plasma, focused on a single ship. As the group continues to move forward to get the destroyers in range, the 400 fighters accompanying it drop into cloak.
  195.
  196. It may be around this time that the large western fighter swarm enters Yuguo's local area, and it appears to be breaking into groups: half to the Han stronghold, half to the fleet.
