- Rate: 00's Pop & B: this was a v cool rate we need more mid 00s r&b rates!!
- Usher - Yeah! (ft. Lil Jon & Ludacris): 10 yeah
- Usher - Caught Up: 10 Usher having a career resurgence after we did this rate... you could say he caught up with the times
- Justin Timberlake (ft. Timbaland) - SexyBack: 10 im obsessed with the idea of SexyBack. Robbie Williams - Rudebox did something to my brain and now I'm on the lookout for mid to late 00s electro-r&b slick pop boy serves everywhere. see my charity submission? That's Turkish SexyBack baby. I thought Dan Balan (a.k.a. the numa numa frontman) had a SexyBack era in 2007 with his album The Power of Shower but it's kinda doing its own silly thing so it wouldn't exactly be Romanian Sexyback (although it is even sillier). Recommend me more songs like this please I beg you. We need to examine the Sexyback phenomena
- Rate: 3mo
- Fall Out Boy – Twin Skeleton's (Hotel in NYC): 4 stomp
- Twenty One Pilots – We Don't Believe What's on TV: 6 holler
- Rate: Ex-acts' "most personal album yet"
- Selena Gomez – Bad Liar: 5 this instrumental would rival Back in Black (vocals only)
- Demi Lovato – Sorry Not Sorry: 7.2 the bass in the chorus is hilarious but it also works for me. Demi took a slice out of the Albanian pop playbook and it worked
- Rate: 2022 Ultimate
- Beyoncé – CUFF IT: 10 if ppl tank this with a comment like "im kinda tired of disco revival - it's 2024 cmon - this is generic" they don't have ears. good disco is timeless and this is perf.
- SZA – Good Days: 8.5 after the two rates with sza this is still one of my fav performances from her and she carries this song but unwarranted Jacob Collier hater mode is back on after hearing Röyksopp - In space
- Taylor Swift - Karma: 5.5
- Rate: 80's Androgynous: Eurythmics robbed of being in the rate even though I didn't vote for them cuz I was scared they would be robbed again :( anyway 80s rates ruled. icons amaze. cities pop. divas slay. duos next?
- Grace Jones - Pull Up to the Bumper: 11 this was my favorite rate discovery last year, everything about it is so perfect. can't get that beat out of my head for like days after hearing this song. how did it even lose
- Prince - Jack U Off: 10 "U'll have an instant heart attack if I jack u off" when is Demi covering this one
- Rate: 2022 Men's Ultimate
- Bad Bunny – Tití Me Preguntó: 9.3 i don't remember the outro being so meh but this bangs so hard still holy shit
- Harry Styles – As It Was: 7 king of ripping from Ava Max
- Rate: Confessional R&B: for how much it slayed this rate rly needs more longevity in rater consciousness like woww
- Kehlani - altar: 10 this is the song in this rate where I knew I gave it a 10 in its original rate but I still didn't appreciate it enough back then. It's so good I need a second 11 ASAP
- Ari Lennox - Pressure: 8 the only thing I remember about the Ari album was her EP that was better
- Rate: 2022 Sub Faves: justice for Tove Lo
- Carly Rae Jepsen – Talking To Yourself: 6 I actually never liked that pause between your and self. I was just lying to my. self last year
- Rina Sawayama – Frankenstein: 6 she kinda forgot how to write a good chorus in this era and where does that outro come from its so random. sry rina Rebecca Black cleared u with Destroy Me
- Rate: Caprimami333: are we sure it's not Eclectic Artpop :mischief:
- Tinashe – Bouncin: 10 this 2d platformer ass beat is still so catchy and it's for a song called bouncin. bouncy kirby emoji
- FKA twigs – papi bones (feat. Shygirl): 9 what kind of twigs hate pills i was on when i gave this a 7.5 idk... still kinda not into the "baby voice" she does, needed it to be full of caprisun energy instead
- Rate: Anthemic Indie Pop
- Maggie Rogers - Shatter: 10 i keep giving this high scores in rates and then never listen to it again. some songs are just like that
- MUNA - What I Want: 6 Runner's High still incredibly robbed. This song kinda ends at 2:36 why lie
- Rate: Anime Opening Themes: iconic!
- Cowboy Bebop - TANK!: 10 people passed out playing that sax solo so im glad we're rating the full version this time
- Kokkoku - Flashback: 10 the other day there was a thread at r/japanesemusic about the best guitarists and Miyavi had a shoutout which is kinda funny because the bass and the chants carry this song so hard lol. Anyway in a few hours Tabuchi Hisako was the top comment because she is the best guitarist ever, stream Number Girl - Tattoo Ari
- Rate: 2022 Alt Club: Sudan didn't sweep this rate hard enough tbh
- Sudan Archives - Home Maker: 10 I wanted Freakalizer to be in this rate but yeah this is also very good and top 5 song from 2022 what else is there to say
- Shygirl - Firefly: 10 not a lot of thoughts on this except it's probably her best song? anyway check out 1 by Estratosfera, very good 20 min EP that kinda has Shygirl vibes (it was a Darj rec to me so if u don't trust me trust her)
- Kilo Kish - NO APOLOGY!: 9.5 still not my absolute favorite from American Gurl but it is a smash
- Rate: 00's Pop Punk: where is scotty
- Jimmy Eat World - The Middle: 10 I'm losing my mind just a little
- We The Kings - Check Yes Juliet: 6
- blink-182 - I Miss You: 10 damn i was harsh on this one giving it my 0.. the vocals are still a *choice*, they kinda waste the "bridge" of the song, but this is endearing and i gotta give it a 10 for reparations
- Rate: Mousketeers: this is in the contention for the best name for a rate ever
- Justin Timberlake – Cry Me A River: 10 crimea river
- Christina Aguilera - Dirrty: 10 redman on the mtv cribs the best hint of this all stars cycle
- Britney Spears – I'm A Slave 4 U: 10 some ppl just didnt get it get it and it gave me rate result trauma
- Rate: Boygenius Beginnings: this rate made me miss rate completionist status last year and uhh I think it was a good thing
- Phoebe Bridgers - Motion Sickness: 3
- boygenius - Me & My Dog: 4.5 solid as they come
- Julien Baker - Sour Breath: 2 try swimming softer next time
- Rate: 2022 Kpop
- KWON EUNBI - Glitch: 9.5 #ReleaseTheBitchCut
- LE SSERAFIM - ANTIFRAGILE: 10 deserved to win
- IVE - After LIKE: 0 what's after like? I wouldn't know, since I'VE never liked this song. haha
- Rate: Eurodance: grabbag of the year
- Corona - The Rhythm of the Night: 6 really strong hook and nothing else to me
- The Immortals - Techno Syndrome (Mortal Kombat): 8 this was probably the most questionable host pick for me, this crunchy video game ditty over Eurodance classics like What Is Love (half the comments would be about Percy Jackson now wouldn't it?) baffled me to the point that I felt like giving it a spite 0. It didn't help that I thought this song blatantly ripped off 2 Unlimited's Twilight Zone, another song that I found thanks to the Eurodance rate (Get Ready would've also made a great pick). But then I dag into this Belgian techno scene a bit and discovered Praga Khan (one of the guys in the Immortals) was actually the pioneer of the genre, and the Lords of Acid song Take Control is already kinda him arriving at Mortal Kombat theme, so if anything this song is self-plagiarism that slayed. An 8 for this is a bit high but the song being here led me to songs like I Sit On Acid, Rave the Rhythm and many other bangers Praga Khan and co. made. I Sit On Acid especially is so graphic, loud and crass that it singlehandedly explains why the Mortal Kombat guys picked these guys to make the themes for possibly the most graphic mainstream video game the world had even seen until then.
- Rate: Robbed Magnum Opuses: yay for this rerate! was a very good excuse for me to actually get to listen to all of these albums that I hadn't heard before and like 3 of them. I still haven't seen the Lemonade movie
- Beyoncé - All Night: 10
- SZA - Prom: 7
- Rate: 00's British Alt-Rock: demon days my meow meow
- Muse – Supermassive Black Hole: 10 bop
- Gorillaz – Dare: 9 bop
- Arctic Monkeys - 505: 6.5 this album had so many bangers where they just rocked but noo we have to rate the song with the 2 minute buildup ugh
- Rate: City Pop: who's letting me host again
- Anri - I Can't Stop The Loneliness: 8 girl should've learned how to say goodbye like a girlboss from Hiroshi Sato... like he aint that important!! anyway this is v europop coded which I normally like but in the context of this album it makes it a B-tier track. or like an B+ tier it's still p good cant lie
- Tatsuro Yamashita - Sparkle: 10 the song that manifested the rate! It's still the only Tatsuro song that has some form of an official upload (even though it might not be on streaming) and it deserves it fully, like we all need more wonder in our world and sparkles in our heart. Deserved to beat misandry
- Tomoko Aran - Body to Body: 10 this placement gagged me a lot during the rate! I fully expected Midnight Pretenders to be Tomoko's highest placing song while curating, but the raters always eat up synthpop serves (this tying for most 11s in the rate was such a gaggy moment) and it was very deserved!! If anything, I guess i couldve been a bit less rigid in curating and just selected more songs that I think bop super hard, but hindsight is 20/20 so.
- Rate: 90's Femcees: darius miss with an idea challenge (impossible) 4 slay albums although my least favorite ended up performing the best somehow lol
- Lil' Kim - Crush On You (Remix ft. Lil' Cease): 10 this was the deserved winner
- Foxy Brown - I'll Be: 10 you'll be an all stars 7 winner
- Da Brat - Fa All Y'All: 7.8
- Rate: EE ER

- The Postal Service - The District Sleeps Alone Tonight: 4
- Björk - Hidden Place: 10 a song i predicted to win cuz i thought it would have less haters.. it didn't happen! but still one of my favorites on this album. shout out that clarinet (?) melody right before verse 2 starts which I hadn't noticed before somehow
