Relationship between clients and servers

Clients are where the frontend developers usually work.  I would say in restaurant business, this is kind of front of the house where waiters/waitresses deal with customers.  They interact with customers in various ways.
Servers are where the backend developers usually work.   This can be the back of the house where chefs and cooks, who do not directly interact with customers, takes order and creates dishes.
I work at a restaurant as a server.
