- Day 2: Pharaoh's Code
- As I finally stopped being dragged around, I was seemingly in another dark void. I definitely wasn't underwater this time, but I just couldn't describe where I was at all.
- What I could see were faint drawings and symbols, made with a faint dust-like substance.
- Depictions of people kneeling before a ruler.
- Farmers and fishermen working to feed their families.
- Animals being tamed or worshipped.
- Early tools and machines.
- There's a lot of history written on these walls, and someone, somewhere, found this all important to preserve.
- I closed my eyes. I tried to imagine a time where these events on the walls weren't just history. I pictured myself in the life of a person living in this time. I also looked at the future; the world I lived in today, and tried to feel the stark contrast of it all.
- They're completely different times, but I started to think: Were humans really so different back then? What did they want the most? Did they share the same yearning for happiness? These questions, as well as countless others, crossed my mind.
- I thought about it a bit more, and I shrugged them off, more or less. While we aren't guaranteed to become the best, we can carve our own path to try and become something just as good; a legend that we were meant to be. I think that all humans, past, present, and, hell, even future, will have that within them.
- It's time to see what'll be humanity's next chapter.
- I opened my eyes again, looked at my surroundings once more, and followed the path built before me.
