- Kekistan: mocking identity politics, from people who take this in-joke and derive an identity and sense of uniqueness from a meme. Being 'in on it' is clearly important to you. When you take over a kid's playground and constantly plaster it all over your social media, it is clearly something you care too much about and not just irony
- Like the Rick and Morty fanbase. They claim the show is so smart and deep (as a way to brag), but the most resonant moment was Pickle Rick. Which is sort of just a meme they take pleasure in being in on and get excited when others recognize it. Personally I found Rick berating people to be the funniest parts, not that its nihilism was coherent. Nihilism just becomes an excuse for a lack of standards, and as license to deconstruct what is already out of fashion one never really believed in. Not what Nietzsche wanted, as a first step to a replacement binding ethos.
- Most nihilists get angry at bigotry anyway, ie they believe in the new modern myths about equality and inclusion. Whereas an uncaring universe would never ever create such a result or see a difference between tolerance and exclusion
- In all cases, what they do with their acquired identity doesnt march what they say about it
