Tsubaki and Anon pt. 18

>September has started to creep in.
>The cold weather with it as well and the end of the A/C's use for the year.
>Cold weather also means cold mornings.
>Which means getting out of bed is a hassle.
>Especially with Tsubaki wrapped around me.
>As usual trying to get out of bed was met with failure as I woke Tsubaki up.
>"Anon, can't you call out sick today?"
>Felt a tinge of pain at Tsubaki's half-awake words.
>"Gotta Tsu, you know I can't just call in sick."
>"You work hard enough, take the day off please?"
>Tsubaki still clung to me the entire time.
>"Not with a kid on the way I can't."
>"You're going to work yourself to death at this rate."
>Decided with a sigh to come clean.
>Rolled over, locking eyes with Tsubaki as our faces hovered inches apart
>"I'm gonna level with you Tsubaki, I'm scared and nervous about all this."
>"About what?"
>"About having a kid, I know I've been less than stellar showing it, but I'm as happy as I am nervous about it all."
>End up getting one of Tsubaki's trademark smiles before hugging me.
>"You're being silly Anon."
>"I'm not, now I gotta get to work Tsubaki."
>Both of us were now awake at this point with Tsubaki still holding on.
>Realized I wasn't going to win this fight and returned Tsubaki's hug.
>"At least lemme check if Eric actually needs me in today ok?"
>Fish phone off nightstand and thumb through the numbers till I find Eric's cell.
>"Hello?"
>"Eric it's Anon."
>"Hey guy, was just about to call you actually Andy says it's gonna be slow this week so if you don't wanna come in today it's fine."
>"No jobs came back yet?"
>"Not yet, But next week we're getting that massive party back."
>"The one I spent like an hour setting up?"
>"Yep."
>Groaned at Eric's news, next week was going to be long and painful.
>"Right, looks like I'll take you up on the offer."
>"Alright Anon, take care and see ya say Wednesday."
>"Cya Eric."
>Climb back under the covers throwing the phone back.
>"Well whats going on?" Tsubaki asked brushing her face against mine.
>"You win that's what."
>"Huh?"
>"Slow this week so I get two days off."
>About to sleep in when Tsubaki stops me.
>"Well then I'm gonna make you work today."
>"Come on Tsu you just said you wanted me to relax."
>"Of course I do, but you have a job to do."
>Roll over to see her looking pleased with herself.
>"Take off your shirt."
>"Why?"
>"Because I like to snuggle when you don't have it on."
>"It's too cold."
>"Then let me warm you up sweetie~."
>End up in a full body hug with Tsubaki.
>Even draped her tail over me while she just buried her face in my chest.
>"Happy?"
>"Not yet~. When I've gotta get up to do my work I need you to help me with some stuff~."
>Tsubaki's early morning teasing was more enjoyable than annoying.
>Laid there rubbing her head as she rattled off my 'work' for the day.
>"...and tonight when we go to bed you're going to get cozy with me and we're going to snuggle lots."
>"Such a bossy wife I have, but I guess I can manage that list." I teased.
>"One last thing Anon."
>"Oh?"
>"I love you."
>"I love you too Tsubaki."
>Ended up staying in bed for another two hours just cuddling.
>Just laid there feeling content and stroking Tsubaki's head.
>Rest of the day was spent doing things like taking a shower with Tsubaki.
>Or having lunch with her on her break.
>At the end of the day felt exhausted.
>Laying in bed again with Tsubaki snuggled up next to me.
>"Good night Anon."
>"Night Tsubaki."
>About to fall asleep when Tsubaki perks up.
>"Oh Anon, your birthday is soon isn't it?"
>"Yeah?..."
>"I'll have to do something special for your birthday then~."
>"Don't worry about it too much, I'm just gonna spend it like I always have."
>"No you aren't Anon. You're gonna spend it with me."
>Said nothing and instead opted to just give Tsubaki a headpat before we both dozed off.
