Doctors think patients die if they don't get help. Although this is true in many critical cases, professionals of medicine carry this attitude over to non-fatal cases, as if people had two options: to ask help from them or to die. The result is a situation in which prescription medicines such as benzodiazepines aren't actually available for patients without an expensive exchange of fake pleasantries with a doctor. But this is a cause of organised crime, since the doctor can be bypassed. It's merely illegal to do so.

Since a dickwad could point out healthcare is free in Finland I should calculate some monetary value for the time spent going to doctors and add how much time is spent preparing for the visit and recovering from it.
