+scott walker __ You have said that you have seen the alleged "ISS". This message is a response to that common and undisputed claim.



*No one disputes that there is a bright light in the sky that whizzes past according to a schedule you can find online which is consistently referred to as the "International Space Station" ("ISS").* Indeed - the website *"spotthestation"* is dedicated to the tracking of that object and will give you estimated viewing times, directions and durations for your locality. You can find past, present and future locations. *Just as you can with the Sun, Moon, Planets and Stars (though it doesn't follow that they would also be inhabited with little men and women!).*



What most definitely *is* disputed is that this object can be filmed from Earth *showing discernible details* (i.e., that what is seen through a telescope actually resembles the purported shape of the alleged "ISS"). If you do a YouTube search for "ISS from Earth" you will find many videos that seem to show the "ISS" from Earth with details but I am suggesting that they are *ALL FRAUDULENT.*



Not only does what we see remain *indistinguishable from CGI* - if you look into the people who have posted those videos you can sometimes find they are lying about one thing or another. Sometimes they have more simply copied someone else's purported "ISS" footage and claimed it as their own (which is a bit like a cheat copying someone else's incorrect answer on an exam). Not so long ago I busted one such liar calling himself "Andrew Winnard" ("Science for the Winnard!"). Please take a squiz at that video I posted:

I am suggesting that in every single case the actual footage purporting to show discernible details *will end up being found to be artificially created (i.e., CGI).* What we are being shown is nothing more than a visual representation of the alleged "ISS". A 3D model presented to us in such a way so as to seem genuine. Since most people take it for granted that the "ISS" is real what is presented isn't even questioned. *If you believe something is real then you are inclined to accept it as real because doing so conforms with your beliefs (even when the "evidence" is fake!).* And of course - *the inverse is also true.* There may be thousands of high quality "Big Foot" photos but since no one actually believes any of them can be genuine they are ALL rejected. *Simply because no one believes "Big Foot" is real.* (To believe a single "Big Foot" photo is real would NOT conform to one's belief that "Big Foot" doesn't exist!) And so it is a person's deeply felt and held belief that the "ISS" is real is what's causing them to *believe the "ISS" footage must also be real.* (The belief they have is what I call a "shadow belief" - which is a belief that is not justified through seeing "sufficient proof" but this reply cannot go into that.)



Additionally - and this must be pointed out. The people who are posting "ISS from Earth with details" footage *are seeking to be taken seriously.* They are not "obviously joking". (They are being a kind of reverse "Poe" to use a more recent Internet term.) *And so when a person believes something is real AND the person providing the "evidence" appears to be serious (and genuine) then the "evidence" enters one's mind WITHOUT resistance!*



*The same danger and damage occurs when people listen to liars* (whether because they find them charming or because they like the way they talk or more simply agree with what they're saying). *When a charming person tells a falsehood* [called a "lie" when it is intentional though it can be unintentional and unwitting] *that resonates with you then it will slip into your head and distort your perception of reality.* This happens beyond your control. *This is a danger I have been trying to make known to people when it comes to paying attention to liars.*



The reason so many people *believe* the alleged "ISS" can be seen with details from Earth is because everyone is familiar with the "bright light" that whizzes past and they *simply assume* details *can also* be made out. *This is made worse by the fact there are countless "ISS" photos/footage claiming to show details (as I have mentioned above).*



There are also people who have positioned themselves on YouTube as "gurus of science" and "debunkers of stupidity" with a niche for "rockets, astronomy and all things space" and it is those channels that also promote the idea the "ISS" can be seen from Earth with discernible details. One such channel called "Reds Rhetoric" *has been recently asked by me to provide footage that he himself personally vouches for as genuine.* It is one thing to link to someone else's footage *but quite another to be willing to stake one's own reputation on it.*



Thus far (about a week since the request was acknowledged) "Reds Rhetoric" *has declined my reasonable request* in a predictably abusive and defensive manner *which strongly suggests he has NO CONFIDENCE in any of the existing footage.* Otherwise why would he hesitate?! Even if I were someone who would "auto-reject" any footage he supplied it does not matter. *Because real is real and if he has cited genuine footage then the only person who can look bad is the person who is rejecting that real footage as fake.* He has nothing to worry about and so his avoidance (and abuse) is especially revealing.



There is another reason for asking a "science guru" like "Reds Rhetoric". *And that is because no one believes ALL of the purported "ISS" footage from Earth is genuine.* That is to say even someone like "Reds Rhetoric" (who would have you believe that he believes there *is* genuine footage) *will acknowledge that SOME of the footage IS DEFINITELY fake.* Just as no one disputes that there is a bright light in the sky consistently referred to as the "ISS" *no one also disputes that NONE of the "ISS" footage is fake.* No one is making the claim that ALL of the "ISS" footage from Earth showing discernible details is real. Therefore an interesting question becomes: *how does a "science guru" like "Reds Rhetoric" determine which "ISS" footage is real and which has been faked?* After all - it all looks the same! (It should be noted that "Reds Rhetoric" has on occasion claimed to not know anything [or much] about CGI!)



My current position - _of course_ - is that it is all "ISS" from Earth footage showing discernible details is necessarily fake *and I have good reasons for holding this position.*



A chief reason for holding this position - _and what is perhaps the most revealing of all_ - *is that "NASA" themselves do not post any images or footage of the alleged "ISS" from Earth showing discernible details!* _They just don't!_ All they show on their websites are what appear to be a kind of "shooting star". *"NASA" themselves do not show that "shooting star" with details that resemble the alleged "ISS".*



But surely such photos would exist? How does "NASA" get around this? *What "NASA" does is they always use someone else's image!*



"NASA" will link to an external website containing an image and will always *credit* an ostensibly unaffiliated "amateur astronomer" for that particular image. *It is always an external so-called "amateur astronomer" who has claimed to have taken the photo/footage!*



Wouldn't you think that "NASA" - _of all people_ - (in alliance with an observatory somewhere) - would have at least *ONE* photograph of the alleged "ISS" as seen from Earth showing discernible details?! *What observatory would not want to help out or participate in achieving this?!*



But there is no such authorised image. After more than *fifteen years* of the alleged "ISS" surely the reason "NASA" does things this way is to simply give them what is called "plausible deniability". Such that if a photo of the "ISS from Earth with details" purportedly taken by an "amateur astronomer" *turns out later to be proven a fake* then "NASA" can distance itself and say "that person has deceived us!" _After all - fake images have made their way into magazines like "National Geographic" - even onto their front cover!_



The solution to accidentally publishing a fake photo of course would be for "NASA" to take a photo of its own. Then it would be known to be authentic and there is no worry about accidentally publishing a fake (like "National Geographic"). But you can't take a photo of something *with details* when you know that something doesn't actually exist! And that being the case "NASA" knows everyone who is posting purported photos/footage of it are lying! And so the solution is to never post their own fake image and instead to use someone else's. They use someone else's image (*knowing it is a fake*) so that it isn't seen as a "glaring omission" and also benefit from having "plausible deniability" should that image ever become outed as a fake.



Often the hardest question to answer is "what's missing?" - and one such thing that's missing is a photo of the alleged "ISS" as seen from Earth showing discernible details *as taken by a loved one of an "astronaut"!* Wouldn't you think that by now a proud child, sibling or parent would have set up a telescope and taken a photo of their loved one as he or she heroically orbited the Earth above (working on the four hundred alleged zero gravity experiments!)? Don't you think that this idea would have come up in the decades of there being allegedly manned space stations? (Remember - the alleged "ISS" isn't the first "space station"!) *Don't you think there would by now exist at least ONE such photo?!* Surely the absence of such a photo (from "NASA's" gallery!") *is as glaring as the "masking glitches" I point out in this video!*



Of course - _you may well ask_ - what exactly is that light we can see? It is a light that many people have seen - _and as I began_ - is not itself being denied! What it is remains anyone's guess. Although I cannot speculate about it (except for fun) *I don't buy into the idea that it is some kind of "hologram" or "drone" or anything like that.* It is simply a bright light that whizzes past according to a timetable found online [just like the Sun, Moon, Planets and Stars] *and everyone who claims to have photographed it with details resembling the alleged "ISS" will upon scrutiny be found to be a worthless liar.*
