Chapter 58-Final Part

"WHAT!?"

Tomboy-kun and I express our disdain for this decision in unison.

Pursing up his glasses, Prez-kun makes no effort to budge as he sits in his chair.

"I believe it was confirmed that you two are on the same side."

I protest, raising my hand.

"With all due respect, the client and I are not on the same side as of this moment."

Angrily, Tomboy-kun starts to walk over to Prez-kun's desk before he is stopped by Cringe-kun, whom had placed a firm hand on Tomboy-kun's shoulder.

"Don't do something you'll regret."

The tall blonde looked down at his shorter red-haired acquaintance, words spoken in a serious tone.

When it came to protecting his boss, the usually goofy Cringe-kun was the most devoted person there was.

"I'm a runner, not a fighter."

Usually, these were words of cowardice to the common man. However, in Tomboy-kun's case...

As he approached the desk, he stared Prez-kun in the face.

"Can't I like, you know, change sides?"

Prez-kun was not amused.

"Absolutely not."

Tomboy-kun placed his hands on the desk.

"You don't understand. I hate his guts!!!"

Prez-kun was getting angry.

"That person you are insulting is our best member in terms of performance, and I had the idea that putting you two on the same team could improve efficiency by 80%. With your recollection of where you had been and his detection capabilities, you would have a very high chance of finding your missing item."

Cringe-kun, with a mouthful of confections he had snuck off of a table during the commotion had looked onward at the barely controlled chaos...then he realized something.

"Wait...who's the best member?"

He was smiling through a stuffed mouth thinking that his friend was referring to him.

"I'm begging ya, Tenryou-senpai! Don't lump me in with him!"

Tomboy-kun had bargained, to no avail.

Shy-kun approached Tomboy-kun slowly.

"Ano...E-Excuse me, but could you two please stop arguing?"

He had spoken too softly for anyone to hear, however.

Prez-kun got up and with both hands, banged his desk loud enough to startle Taikyuu, who made a loud "CHIIPIIP!" as a response.

"That's 'President Tenryou-senpai' to you, young man. It matters NOT what issues you may have regarding my choice. What DOES matter is that you two work together. For the time being, you two are on the same side. My decision is final. I will be here in the Student Council room to monitor any possibility of it already picked up by another student. You are all to report once the wallet has been found. Dismissed!"

As we proceed to exit the school, we walk down the street together.

Cringe-kun and Shy-kun are discussing their tastes in music and films while Tomboy-kun and I are silent.

As I pull out my phone, I text Tsundere-kun as I look at Tomboy-kun, who is super pissed.
