1) Set up Steam to download the Afterbirth+ version of the game:

- Open Steam and click on the "Library" tab.
- Right click on "The Binding of Isaac: Rebirth" and select "Properties".
- Click on "DLC".
- Check "The Binding of Isaac: Afterbirth".
- Check "The Binding of Isaac: Afterbirth+".
- Uncheck "The Binding of Isaac: Repentance".
- Close the window and wait for Steam to finish downloading the

2) Unsubscribe to the Racing+ mod on the Steam Workshop:

- The mod is located here:
  https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=857628390
- Make sure that you are unsubscribed from this (because the Steam Workshop version of the mod will only work with Repentance).

3) Manually download the Afterbirth+ version from GitHub:

- The latest version of Racing+ for Afterbirth is 0.55.18.
- You can download that specific version here:
  https://github.com/Zamiell/isaac-racing-client/archive/refs/tags/v0.55.18.zip

4) Put it in your mods folder:

- Unzip that file to a new directory.
- Inside that directory, rename the "mod" subdirectory to "racing+".
- Then, move the "racing+" folder to "C:\Users\[Username]\Documents\My Games\Binding of Isaac Afterbirth+ Mods\".

5) Disable all mods:

- Open the "C:\Users\james\Documents\My Games\Binding of Isaac Afterbirth+\options.ini" file in Notepad.
- If you see "EnableMods=1", change that to "EnableMods=0", and save the file and close Notepad.

6) Subscribe to the "Racing+ Data" mod (optional):

- If you want to play a multi-character speedrun, you must subscribe to an extra mod on the workshop:

7) Open Isaac and enable the mod:

- Open the game.
- Navigate to the "Mods" part of the menu.
- Enable mods by pressing "tab".
- Make sure that all mods except for Racing+ are turned off.
- Now, close the game completely and reopen the game to ensure that Racing+ is loaded properly.
