Red Meteor Quest Part 11

"Alright Red, we're going out." Sadie decreed

"Going out...what for?" You ask, enjoying some tv, it'd been a few days since you brought Sanja into the fold and it took Sadie wrestling everyone to the ground and tossing them out the door to get them off of you. Never were you so happy to see Sadie angry enough to toss someone out.

"We need to get you some clothes. Just about all your armor is off now, so to that end it wouldn't  do us any good to have you always walking around in your armor."

"But I like my armor..." You state

Sadie sighed "Look, I get it, you like the whole super hero thing, I do too, but wouldn't you like to experience a day or two as just a normal person? Not Red Meteor? Just as...actually what is your actual name?"

"Not sure, Tim has been calling me Red Meteor since he found me."

"R-right, well, we'll just go with Red, it works well enough. My point here is, there's more to life than fighting crime."

"I suppose that's true." You mutter thinking on it

"Right! So that's why I'm going to help you take the first step and get you some good clothing!

You moved for the door, but Sadie stopped you "What are you doing...?" She asked

"Going to get clothing."

"What? No, you can't go out like that!"

"Why not?"

"I don't think people would like if Red Meteor showed up to their store, we'll just need to give you some of mine..."

What followed next was Sadie grabbing some of her clothing, something she called her 'cheat day' outfit. It consisted of sweatpants that were way too tight, and a small hoodie that frankly, barely covered Red's nipples let alone his chest.

"I feel ridiculous..." You state

"I'm...sorry, look we'll just have to deal with it, I've called the other girls to help out and they'll meet us there."

Sadie pushes you into her car, doing her best to get you to a place called 'Suitor's Suits without anyone seeing you. The drive is quiet, Sadie keeping focused on the road while you wait in quiet excitement about all this. You were actually looking forward to getting some new clothing the more you thought about it.

Eventually, you reached downtown and stopped your car right outside of the store, Jane and the others already present as they waited for you. You both exit the car and...Jane and the others all do their best to cover their mouths to refrain from laughing, though the few passerby that saw you aren't as kind.

"What the hell are you wearing?" Saya sputters trying to control herself

"Red...are those womans clothes?" Sanja mutters

"Shut up! It was all I had!" Sadie growled as she dragged you along

"I mean, if Red is into cross-dressing I won't mind." Jane laughed, your group heads inside, the store clerks staring at you as you casually walk by with your friends. Sadie calls over a clerk to get your measurements so you can try out some outfits. You're pushed into the changing room by Sadie who tells you to change into some outfits that the girls looked out.

"How does this look?" You ask coming out dressed in a pinstripe suit

"Gotta admit, that looks pretty good." Saya remarks looking you over, the others agree as you look into a mirror

You get an idea, the girls are all saying that they like the outfit, but a good way to test this theory is to show off in it a bit. Thankfully, you'd watched a show that featured some male models a few days ago. You walk to the front and strike a few poses, nothing too fancy, just some poses that has you with your hands in your pocket and  slight frown. It was called the 'troubled bad boy' look.

Needless to say the girls enjoyed it. Sadie had a slight blush, Saya was eyeing you over silently, but you could see she was somewhat red too. Sanja looked ready to leap at you, while Jane was just drooling.

"Hey Red..." Sanja said "Mind...turning around a bit?"

You oblige her, doing just that, but not before striking yet another pose. You look back over at the girls, all of them blushing and giggling like mad. Well, except Sadie she was trying to keep a straight face.

"We're definitely getting him that one!" Jane declared

You're then pushed back in and given more suits to wear, at the end of it all, you probably have at least a dozen suits or so now

"Well we've gotten him clothes now..." Sadie muttered

"Yeah, but we need more!" Sanja chimed in "He can't just have suits all the time, it'd be weird

"I...guess?" Sadie muttered

"What should we get next then?" You ask, truthfully, you were fine with just the suits.

"We need something casual for him." Saya said "He's not some business exec and really I don't think he could ever pass for one."

The girls all nodded in agreement, filing into Sadie's car to go to a store that met their needs. Sanja's car was still busted and it would be a bit of time before she got a new one, so she'd been stuck asking Sadie for rides until that issue was resolved.

It didn't take long until you all pulled up in front of a store called Apex Clothing. Stepping inside, this place was a bit bigger with multiple floors, it didn't seem as high end as Suitor's Suits, and the staff all looked and dressed way more casual. You were pulled to another dressing room by the girls, who went out and found you several pieces of clothing to try on.

When you walk out finally you've got what you think to be a pretty casual looking outfit. One of these outfits even came with some headphones for some reason, though you don't mind that much.

The girls all stare you in silence for a moment.

No words? You know what do this time. You take the hood and put it over your head, trying to look dangerous and mysterious. As you look at the girls, you smirk at them "How do I look?" You ask calmly

What follows is a bunch of squeals from Sanja and Jane who both try to make a lunge for you, that you thankfully dodged as they smack against the wall. Saya grabbed them both by the scruff of their necks and dragged them back into place, holding them, though you could see her chest heaving  as she looked at you too.

As for Sadie...

You think she passed out at some point, but she's just sitting there, face red as a tomato.

"Er...Sadie?" You take a step forward and she doesn't even move.

"Sadie...?" You call again while touching her head

"Oh my, I think she's out of it." Sanja grinned poking the cop as she toppled over.

Maybe you shouldn't do this kind of thing to them anymore?

The clothes are paid for and you're taken back to Sadie's car, the poor girl having finally regained her senses prior, while still blushing like mad. As you got closer and set the clothing down inside the trunk, Jane called everyone  but you over, telling you that this was girl talk only.

Her gaze was firm, determined, far different from the usual playful one she had.

"Alright girls...It's time to settle this."
"Settle...what now?" Sadie asked eyebrow raised

"You know what." She whispered "That is a fine piece of man over there and I'm sure all of us here want some of that."

Instantly all of the women blushed and looked away. "And so..." Jane continued "We're gonna see who gets to out with him on a date."

"D-d-d-d-date?!" Sadie squealed

"That's right, so shut up and listen, I got a spin wheel app on my phone, whoever it lands on wins Red for the day. Whose in..."

"Count me in!" Sanja said smugly

"I...I guess I wouldn't mind." Saya muttered

"Ugh this is...fi-fine, if it'll keep that idiot safe...I'll join in too." Sadie muttered while blushing hard

The wheel spins for what feels like an eternity as the girls all gather around it. You just watch them, confused at the whole thing. Tim was right: Girls really were weird. Eventually the spinner stopped, the winner being...!

"I won!" Saya said raising her fist in the air. Sanja let out a pout, while Sadie looked a bit sadder than normal. Jane however was happy for her best friend and happily pat her back...Saya was overjoyed...until her face was replaced with one of fear.

"Wait...I won." She repeated "I...won." Her eye dilated a bit before she began shaking Jane

"WATASHI WA NANI O SHINAI NODESU KA?!!" She hollered, causing people to stare

"Watashi wa kare o kisu shimasu ka,-te o kakaete, watashi o tasuketekudasai! Tasukete!"

"S-Saya calm down! English, ENGLISH!" Jane exclaimed, which caused her friend to stop for a moment "Look, I'll help you out. Sadie, Take Red home and get him Ready, I'll take Saya back to her dorm and get her ready."

"No fair, Sanja muttered. I suppose I can help out as well..."(edited)
Everyone filed into Sadie's car, her dropping everyone off Saya's dorm, while Sadie took you back to her place, making sure you had a good suit on.

"So I have to take Saya out on a date?" You said

"That's right...and you've got to look good alright...treat her well and make sure she has fun."

"Ah...I see, just like Episode 102 of Hyper Hero Force, where Hyper Blue found a love interest!"

"Er...right. Please don't do anything weird okay?"

"I won't, I promise." You said flashing a thumbs up as Sadie blushed a bit

"You're such a dork." She muttered

Before long the doorbell rung with Saya standing in front of it. She was in a rather nice dress, far different from what she usually wore, though she kept her regular hairstyle, which covered her left eye.

"So uh...hey...you look good." She blushed

"Same to you Saya, shall we go?"

"Oh...s-sure, where should we go first?"

"How about we go eat some Ramen first?" You say walking out of the door with Saya. Sadie waves you off, looking a bit like a mother seeing her son off before closing the door. You're thankful she gave you some spending money, probably so you don't look like a total fool.

"Ramen? Are you choosing that just because I'm Japanese?" She said with a smile "That's fine...I actually really like it, and it just so happens I know a place for us to go."

She awkwardly moved closer to you, as the both of you walked along, enjoying the cool night air. Before long you were at the ramen place she'd made mention of and were seated, you noticed something interesting though: There was a sign, challenging someone to eat 50 bowls of 'Hellfire Hot sauce Ramen' whoever pulled it off got free meals for an entire year.

"That's one hell of a challenge don't you think?" Saya smirks "I've seen at least 20 guys come here and try it, they always go home after the first bowl. A shame, I wouldn't mind a year of free ramen."

You recall the Hyper Force Episode. Hyper Blue made sure that his girlfriend was happy no matter what, and so you know what you must do. As Saya places your order, you boldly slam your hands down on the counter, the shopkeeper looking at you as well as several other people.

"I'm taking the challenge!" You boldly state "My date here wants free ramen for a year as a man it's my duty to get it for her!"

The shop owner grins at you. "Now that's what I want to hear! A man with spirit! Get the bowls ready! A deal for you my friend: You win this and your lady friend gets her food for free tonight."

You take your seat acknowledging the man's proposition. It's not too long until the first bowl is laid out before you. Everyone else has stopped and is gathered around to watch you try and take on the challenge.

You down the first bowl with ease, and then the second one as well.

And then the 5th...

And then the 10th

The 17th bowl doesn't stop you!

Neither does the 20th!

At the 25th bowl your mouth feels a bit dry, so you grab some water, you were allowed 3 complimentary cups for the challenge, and you figure may as well use one. You grab it.
"Red wait, That's-!" Saya calls, but it's too late you down it and continue eating

"Did that guy just down a bottle of hotsauce?!" One person exclaims

"Yeah and he's still going, he's a freakin' madman!"

You continue eating.

Bowl 35 will not stop you!

You push on

Bowl 43 cannot defeat your spirit!

It's near the end!

Bowl 47 is going to heaven!

You're on the final bowl, the crowd is silent in anticipation. You don't even bat an eye as you devour it. You even drink all the juice that's left, the entire place roars in applause

"He did it! The guy actually did it!" One man yells

"I got it all on video, this dude is fucking crazy!"

The shopkeep raises your hands in triumph "Now that was a sight to behold! You've won it all What's your name sir?"

"Red Mete-ow!" Saya jabs you in the stomach

"Er, Red! Friends call me that."

"Well Red, You are going on my hall of fame, But that can wait till after your lady has had her food. Free of charge as promised!"

The shop owner gets to work preparing Saya's order as the Japanese girl sits across from you blushing madly

"Hey uh Red...uh...thanks." She murmured

You let out a chuckle as Saya's bowl of ramen is brought to her, you don't need anything, you've had your fill for the night. "Anything for you Saya, besides, I had fun, the water could have been better though...it was kinda hot."

Saya just facepalmed as you said that last part "That wasn't water you moron, that was hot sauce!"

"...Seriously?" You say looking over at the empty bottle "huh...so it was."

At this Saya just laughs, she can barely contain herself and several times she nearly chokes on her food. "Man, you really are something Red, you know that?"

"Uh...thanks?" You reply unsure of if that's a compliment

"I mean that in the nicest way possible. Really, I didn't think you'd pull something like that off. I mean, 50 bowls? Any person would get sick from something like that!"

Things continue on like this until Saya finishes her food. The both of you taking a photo with the owner of the place. He tells you to stop by again some time, hoping the man who toppled his challenge would come back.

"That was some good food. What do we do next?" Saya asks

It's time to go to the movies, you remember Hyper Blue doing that too! You make the suggestion to Saya who happily agrees. Getting to the movies from your current location isn't too difficult a feat. You ended up arriving a bit too early though, as the choices of movies were all at least an hour away. So to kill some time you decide to play a few arcade games they had laying around.

You and Saya get in a good few rounds of RazeRed, her beating you a few times with Rinoa Tepes and then you returning the favor with Jagna the Bloodrage. It was a fun time, allowing you both to waste a half-hour.

"So what should we see Red? I'll let you choose."

"Hm, how about..."

"How about Die Fast?" You say pointing at the poster

"Sure why not, I haven't seen the other two though."

You pay for the tickets, Saya picking up a box of popcorn for the two of you to enjoy along with the movie. It's not a bad movie all things considered, as the action is great, car chases, exploding buildings and for some reason a Japanese school girl who is actually a robot who has a rail gun in her butt are all present. Saya gets into it, really enjoying all the action that goes on throughout the movie.

"Hell yeah, give em the chair!" She shouts watching the main character do just that against a rather large thug, as his female cohort defeated three other men with a bo-staff.

"The fight scenes are pretty good." You muttered to yourself watching them with rapt attention...maybe you should try some of these next time you get into a fight. The movie continued for a while longer before you the last fight scene.

"You're going to die quite fast!" The villain exclaimed

"If that's so,then you're going to die faster." He said calmly before kicking the guy into a meat grinder. He then escaped with his female sidekick, leaving the meat factory as it exploded, him not bothering to look back.

The two of you exit the movie theater.

"That was pretty great!" Saya exclaimed "I hope they come out with a 4th one soon. What did you think Red?"

"The fights were amazing, I think I learned a few new moves to use, though I think their gratuitous use of foul language was a bit much."

"Yeah I guess so...so what now?"

"How about Karaoke?" You say shrugging your shoulders

"Not a bad idea, I think there's one in that Little Tokyo District!" Saya said excitedly "Come on lets go!"

She grabbed your hand and pulled you along, the place she wanted to go was actually a bit further away, so the two of you ended up jumping on some rooftops to get there faster. Once at the karaoke place, the two of you got a room to yourselves, with Saya urging you to sing first.

"Hey they have the Hyper Hero Force 5 Season 2 theme song in here!" You exclaimed happily

"Red please don't!"

"Not stopping me!" you reply smirking as you choose the song.

"Oh come on man, I'm beggin' ya!"

Saya takes a few breathes as the song kicks up. It's a rather catchy rock tune that's in Japanese. Of course,being Japanese herself she was able to hit the notes nearly perfectly. She was definitely better than you, that much you could say for sure. Like you did with your song, she got really into it, moving her body with the music, and even happily enjoying the guitar solos throughout the song before finally finishing herself.

"Not bad Saya,you're a pretty good singer!" You compliment

"Heh thanks my sister and I-"

She stopped herself, her look becoming a bit more somber "Uh, never mind. You're turn again."

She hands you the mic and you get up singing another song. This time you sing a more smooth love song, and after that Saya follows up with a jazzy number. Eventually, your time is up and so you both exit the place.

"Any other places Red? Though I guess it is getting a little late."

"I think I know one more place we can visit." You say taking Saya by the hand. The two of you make your way to the park, not the same one where you first met her, This one is far bigger and the middle has a fountain that's illuminated by numerous lanterns to really help sell the beauty of it all.

"Hey...this is pretty nice." Saya muttered blushing "I've never been here before."

"I remembered seeing it one night while I was out on patrol, it's a beautiful place isn't it?"

"Yeah..." saya said

You look up to the sky, admiring the moon. It's white light illuminating the sky, "The moon is really beautiful tonight, wouldn't you agree?"

"W-w-w-what are you saying?!" Saya stammered, blushing really hard now "L-look, I'm tired, so...so take me home okay?!"

"Huh...you sure?"

"Yeah I'm sure, let's go!" she exclaimed speed walking away.

You have no idea what her problem is, but you escort her back to her dorm room all the same. When you two arrive, you stop at the door.

"Hey uh...I had a lot of fun tonight Red...really." Saya mutters

"Thanks, I did too. Uh...sorry about the park though."

"Huh? Oh...oh! No, you didn't do anything wrong!"

"Really? But you seemed mad."

"No, I wasn't...I was happy actually! A-anyway, I wanted to show you something. You've been a good friend and you're fun to hang around so...promise you won't laugh or gag or anything okay?"

"I promise." You say resolutely as Saya brushes her aside to show you the eye patch where her eye should be."

"Saya what happened?" You ask alarmed

"Don't worry...it's been this way for a while...I used to get a lot looks and teasing for it. So I keep it hidden, but you...I'll let you and Jane be the exception okay?"

You nod, Saya heading inside. All in all, you feel like this was a fruitful date.

You head back to Sadie's house, taking things easy and enjoying the night air as you do. A quick look at the time reveals it to be a quarter past midnight already. That's surprising, the night still felt pretty young to you. You walk up to Sadie's house knocking on the door, to which she answers.

"O-oh...you're back!" Sadie says surprised

"Yeah, that date with Saya was really fun. We saw a movie, went to sing karaoke,and a walk in the park."

"Sounds fun." Sadie deadpanned

"Oh and I ate 50 bowls of ramen!"

"What?! 50 bowls?!" she repeated her eyes with a look of disbelief

"Yeah, it was great, and now saya and I get free ramen whenever we visit. I'd love to take you there one day." You say laying on the couch "For now though I'm bushed...I'm gonna go to bed.

"I-I see...um Red can I ask you something?"

You looked up at Sadie as she twirled a finger in her hair "What is it Sadie?"

"Well you see...you can take your armor off! Well uh...most of it, what I mean is, it's kinda not needed for you to sleep on the couch anymore."

"But then where would I sleep? Your closet?"

"NO! NOT THE CLOSET!" She yells which makes you recoil before she realizes what she did "Um...sorry. No, what I mean is...you could sleep with me...in my bed! I mean...if you want to of course!"

>I wouldn't mind that at all

"But I like the couch." You say looking at it, you had gotten rather comfortable after sleeping on a while to which Sadie just sighed and rubbed her head. "I highly doubt that the couch is more comfortable than the bed."

"No really, it's not so bad, I know just how to get comfortable for the perfect TV viewing and besides, I don't wanna take up room in your bed."

"But..."

"It's fine Sadie, really." You say to which the girl sort of deflates

"Okay..." She mutters "I'm heading to bed then. Goodnight."

"Goodnight Sadie." You say, getting comfortable as the lights go off. It isn't too long before you end up asleep, the comfy feeling  of the couch taking your consciousness away.

Later on that night, Sadie came down the stairs dragging a blanket with her. She was quiet, not wanting to alarm Red in any way. She'd been in her room for the last two hours staying awake. Why couldn't she get to sleep?

"You idiot." She muttered to herself. She was in her undergarments,but she didn't particularly care at this point as she edged closer. "I offer you to sleep in my bed and you instead choose to stay on a couch...TV was right...men are weird." She states as she casually drapes a blanket over you.

"But still..." She muttered

Before she knew it, she had managed to work her away atop your body before leaning her head on your chest.

"I guess this is nice too." She muttered, she could at least finally feel herself falling asleep against the rhythm of your breathing.
