Maverick walked up to Patrick and said, "Hey, where're your friends?"
Patrick said, "Up in Orklij, finally."
"You ain't going?"
"No."
"I have some disturbing news," Maverick said. "You put trackers and took DNA samples from everyone in the tournament... right?" "Affirmative."
"Audrey Resh, from DNA tests, is proven to be Deria Resh."
"What do you mean?" Patrick said.
"From DNA tests," Maverick said, "the boys up in the lab have been able to identify that Audrey is Deria."
"What does this mean for us?" Patrick said. "Dawn's talking to her. They have a whole friendship."
"Then we must trap her," Maverick said.
"We must succeed in baiting her to our location. We must interrogate her."
"We can't afford to set her free. We can't let anyone know, either. This will silently go by."
Patrick nodded. "How do you think they'll feel?"
"Apart from Dawn," Maverick said, "I think they'll be okay."
Maverick, after a moment, said, "Do you think the Officers are telling Deria anything?"
"No," Patrick said. "I trust them enough to not say anything. Besides, I believe it is only Dawn talking to her."
Maverick nodded. "And, hey... I know it's been a few months. But we're gonna find Lana."
Patrick, this time, just responded with a nod. Maverick walked back into the base. Patrick walked deep into the forests.
He then walked up to three tombstones. One said, "Lana Strait." Another said, "Dresden Skye." The other said, "Kale."
Patrick took out a flower and tossed it at Lana's grave. He looked at it intently. Two flowers were on each of their graves. Tears appeared in his eyes, but they were covered up by rain.
Patrick looked at the three graves. "Yari, Dresden, Kale. And now... Lana."
Patrick looked at the grave of Lana. "Lana... you always loved the red roses the most."
"You really, really did... huh? You grew them in our garden... don't you remember? You were so excited when... they blossomed..."
"Don't worry... they're with you."
He picked up the rose, which was soaking with the rain. Patrick looked at his reflection in a puddle. It was truly a sad sight, with his expression about to go into a complete 180, looking like he was about to break down.
Patrick held the rose tight. "You really, really did love them... didn't you?"
He held the rose tight to him. He sighed and said, "I guess it's time."
He dug in front of the dirt of the grave, and took out his backpack. He then took out a metal box from it, and put the box inside of the dirt, before putting the dirt back on top.
Patrick got up, and looked upon Lana's grave.
More tears appeared in Patrick's eyes. "Lana... who did this to you...?"
"I messed up... why... where did things go wrong?!"
"Wait..."
Patrick then realized exactly what happened.
Clarissa beat Lana up. Lana went away from the base to take a break. Then... the death.
Patrick got onto his knees and began sobbing. "Lana... LAAAANAAAAA!"
He hit the ground with his fists. "Why?! Why didn't I just say that it was me who kissed you?!"
"Now... you're dead... and you're never coming back."
Patrick slowly got up, tears still in his eyes. He then walked off.
Dresden Skie, in the Voltronic Suit, then appeared at the graves. "Huh?"
He looked at the graves. "Huh... An Ooloo Officer must have made these."
He looked at Lana's grave. "That one looks... fresh. It's a pain what happened to her..."
"It must have been Vermin. Who else could have done this?"
Dresden then got on one knee. "Lana... don't worry. I will bring justice. Your death was not in vain. I will fight for you."
"This Voltronic Suit will be the one to defeat Team Plasma and the Pharaohs... and then you will never have to cry again, knowing you've failed."
Dresden quickly flew off.
