mira was born in detroit, michigan. her family wasn't very well off and lived in an old area downtown. the quarter was infested with gangs and more of a street feel but her parents couldn't afford to move anywhere else, so she spent most of her time in her room by herself. she didn't have a lot of friends and was kind of an outcast because of her financial status, not having any social experience also made it hard for her to approach new people + her cold appearance didn't exactly help.
around her early teenage years her emotions became a little unstable, which is completely normal for teens, but this caused her to get in contact with some less than good people and that's how she was introduced to the underground rapping scene. she never got in serious trouble though, she was used to being on her own and didn't hang out with anybody she would get a bad vibe from.
before her brother was born her father got a job offer in south korea, both her parents were from south korea originally. being in a new country was difficult for her because while she knew korean it was far from flawless and her western mannerisms contrasted those of korea but she found comfort in idol groups; by seeing the work and hardships they go through and the amazing result. and that's when she felt this calling to become an idol but she realised 'mira you don't know how to dance' and with that setting her off she joined a dance studio. turns out she was quite flexible and all that time she spent on rapping and learning to understand the music she had a good rythm as well and she quickly increased her skill - also making some close friends through the dance studio. originally her parents didn't support her dream as they thought it was too risky, and because they were very familiar with how it is to be in a financial pinch they were afraid of what might happen if she wouldn't make it but they didn't want to stop her either. so her parents gave her one year to audition and her taken in as a trainee and shortly after she did, she got taken in by pledis ent.

personality:: mira was quite timid and sweet when she was younger, didn't like getting yelled at was sentimental in general. but she made a shift with time as the pressure around her rose, partially also she had to harden up because of the gang scene. she was struggling with her emotions and often felt hopeless, sad and upset. at this time music became an emotional outlet for her and the way that rap could portray emotion in a way that singing couldn't made her love it. she became like a classic tsundere, cold and savage on the outside and secretly soft on the inside and maybe you'll be lucky enough to see that side of her because she can be really warm and caring. she can sometimes act like a mom even if she refuses to admit it; it's just like a natural instinct to her but her cold exterior is like her defense mechanism, she doesn't just let anyone in. and because she feels she has been betrayed so often she's wary. she can be the most loyal person who will always care about you, she can be honest even if it hurts. she's very stubborn, determined and hardworking - sometimes you can't tell the three traits apart. and although she is very dedicated she's also pretty lazy, but that's partially because she is a perfectionist and she constantly feels like there's something wrong with what she's doing, something missing. so being lazy (sleeping in particular) is her way of avoiding that feeling by not doing it at all.
