  1. Rhea would have a slightly disappointed look on her face as he spoke
  2. "Aww? Really? Man...I was so looking forward to that. I'm getting pretty rusty you know. Been a while since I had a proper fight with anyone."
  3.
  4. Rhea would now be flipping her dagger around her hand she spoke, tilting her head curiously toward Rain
  5. "Hm? O-oh yeah, i'm alright. I've been getting those a lot lately. Must be because I made a pact with the shadows. They must be getting antsy or something. I...honestly don't know. Brief flashes of memory, weird pains on my body. Can't say I know exactly what's going on too be honest. Probably because im getting old...hehe."
  6.
  7. Rhea giggles nervously, she seemed to be wondering what was going on too. She couldn't be dying. She felt completely fine for the most part...it was a...weird development to say the least
  8. "Well, maybe i'll talk to that jester girl about it. Anyway...Rain, I know this out of left field but..."
  9.
  10. The woman would hesitate her words for a moment
  11. "...Do..you want to pay your respects to Li? Theria is not that far from where he died. A-and...I know that...well...I know it must be hard but. I never went to retrieve his body. I was too scared to do anything...a-and...well, I want to make things right."
  12. (Rhea Endore)
  13. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  14.
  15. [22:48] "Pfft... getting old."
  16.
  17. He laughed slightly at that before going quiet when she started to mention something else. Li's... grave... huh...
  18.
  19. With a heavy heart, the man nodded his head, getting up without hesitation, there was no reason for any. It was his son after all, he owerd him that much... no, he owed his son much more than that. Like being there when they needed... but he wasn't.
  20.
  21. "Let's go."
  22.
  23. That was all he had to say on it, resolution now in his eyes to do something which he had probably been delaying.
  24. (Rain Multhunder)
  25. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  26.
  27. [22:55] Rhea would nod in a determined fashion toward Rain. She gets up from the chair slowly, beckoning Rain to follow her
  28. "Follow me. I'm sure I can trust Alvin to take care o-"
  29.
  30. Before Rhea can speak however, she would feel something tugging on her leg. Looking downwards, she would gaze upon Eris, her tiny little ears and tail drooping as she stared at her mother with a tired expression
  31. '*yawn. Mama...i'm sleepy. Can you tuck me in?'
  32.
  33. Rhea seemingly had some business to take care of before leaving. She would nod her head and pick up her daughter
  34. "Of course, dear. Excuse me Rain, let me take care of this before we leave"
  35.
  36. Rhea would head toward the guest room and tuck in her daughter. Making sure she was comfortable. She would gently place the doll that Eris gave her earlier between her arms
  37. 'Mama, where are you going?'
  38.
  39. Rhea would tilt her head at the question. She giggles and caressesthe girl's head. Making sure to pet her ears as well
  40. "Nohere, dear. Just some adult business. I'll be back soon, I promise."
  41. With a kiss to the forehead, she would grab her daughters hand. Her violet hues pierce her daughter's light red gaze. She would smile warmly
  42. "I love you dear. Sweet dreams, my precious little Endore.."
  43.
  44. Rhea would walk out and exit the room, meeting with Rain near the front door
  45. "Sorry about that. Let's go."
  46.
  47. Rhea would feel a heavy feeling emanate from her chest as she opened the door. A heavy anxiety covering her entire being from head to toe. With a heavy heart and a sigh, she leads Rain into the woods...
  48.
  49. (Rhea Endore)
  50. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  51.
  52. [23:09] Leading her friend into woods, her heart would continue to sink further and further as she reached her destination. Using her skills as a hunter, she would have little to no problem tracking the location where she thought Li died.
  53.
  54. "I was able to track Li using his footsteps before. They may be gone now but...I-if I use the tree lining and...determine the exact location.."
  55.
  56. Rhea would be crouching on the ground now, she rubs the dirt with her fingers
  57. "We were hunting bear. Yeah, he should be this way. If i'm correct, the bear tracks lead toward near their den. That's where he died."
  58.
  59. Beckoning Rain, she would finally reach her destination. Once she arrived, the dark, bellowing feeling of anxiety would now be unleashed upon her being. She would shiver as she moved closer toward behind the tree that she found him leaning against
  60. "...H-he...sh..sh..sh-should be here."
  61.
  62. Rhea shivers as a dark, shadowy aura suddenly flashes from he body. She would once again feel a pain in her chest along with the addition of a headache. The pain was now even more intense and sharp, causing her to drop to the ground
  63. "Agh!"
  64.
  65. Flashes of memory annihilate Rhea's mind. Short, small abstract thoughts of Li appearing in and out of her consciousness. The whole area would seemingly turn heavy as the girl seemed to be disoriented and dizzy. It was as if she has casted Mind Fray on herself. Why was she feeling this? Was she truly this anxious and nervous? Or...was it something else?
  66. Slowly picking herself up, she would begrudgingly make her way toward the tree
  67. "He...should be here!"
  68.
  69. "..."
  70.
  71. Upon turning toward the base of the tree, there laying against the base of the tree, rotting away and becoming one with the Earth..
  72. Would be nothing...
  73.
  74. "...Huh?"
  75.
  76. Rhea would suddenly be confused. She lifts her hand up to the base of her forehead, Completely flabbergasted that her dead lover was nowhere to be seen
  77. "B-but...he-he..sh-should be here? Wh-what the. Did I take a wrong turn? N-no! I remember this tree! I remember it exactly! This is where he di-"
  78.
  79. Before she can speak another word, another flash of memory pierces her mind. Causing a sharp headache. Enough to make her fall onto the ground in her knees in agony. She grips her forehead and winces as her head begins to pulsate
  80. "Agh! Wh-what the Hel!? *groan.."
  81.
  82. Upon further inspection...there would seemingly be a dagger next to the base of the tree. Covered in grass, shrubs, and leaves. Maybe...this was some sort of clue?
  83.
  84.
  85.
  86. (Rhea Endore)
  87. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  88.
  89. [23:19] Having accompanied the Endore in this trip towards his son's resting place, his mind remained on the thought of finally giving them the burial they so much deserved.
  90.
  91. Rain would stay awfully quiet throughout the walk, his head always lowered and never answering Rhea as he simply followed after her.
  92.
  93. When they started nearing the place, the change in her behavior would immediately be noticed by him, of course he would pay close attention to her, knowing how a human's mind can be so frail, he was afraid of a panick attack.
  94.
  95. Instead of only concern and worry for his son's widow though, he finds himself greatly confused as well... there was no body?
  96.
  97. "Rhea, you need to calm down, okay?"
  98.
  99. Crouching beside her, he put a hand on her shoulder.
  100.
  101. "Rest for a moment while I inspect the place."
  102.
  103. With that said, he would go forward to check up on it, looking for anything, from tracks to anykind of lead they could get. And he does find something in the end. Returning to the Endore's side, he shows her the dagger.
  104.
  105. "I found this Rhea, does it have any sort of meaning to you? I couldn't find anything more... I also don't think someone would just take the body, only steal valuables at most."
  106.
  107. He also doesn't think someone would've given them a proper burial, if they had, it would've been done right here on this spot.
  108. (Rain Multhunder)
  109. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  110.
  111. [23:32] Rhea would continue to shiver. She would sit down and lean against the tree as her heart beats at a rapid pace. She grips her chest, occasional flashes of a dark, shadowy aura pulsating from her being. She breathes deeply as she allows Rain to inspect the area
  112. "...A dagger?"
  113.
  114. Rhea's violet hues dart upwards toward the dagger. It was rusted and bloody. A worn and almost destroyed relic of the past
  115. "...That's...Li's.." were the only words she would utter from her mouth
  116.
  117. The woman would stand up and gently take the dagger from Rain's hand. She would begin to inspect it. Her mind began to pulsate as she looked upon the broken and worn blade. Her headache becoming more and more intense the longer she gazed at it
  118. "..I..don't get it."
  119.
  120. Rhea taps her chin before looking back at the supposed location of Li's body. She would begin to crouch down and inspect the area for clues. Nothing of note wouldbe found...except..for a distinct footprint on the grass. Moving the shrubs and leaves around the area, she would notice these particular footprints to be heavy. Leaving a deep imprint onto the grass. She decides to confirm her suspicions as she places her foot on the footprint
  121. An exact match
  122. "These are...mine."
  123.
  124. Thought's began to race through Rhea's head. She doesn't remember ever being this close to the body. Why would this be here now? It made no sense to her. She decides to follow the footsteps toward a nearby clearing, beckoning Li to follow her
  125. "Come with me."
  126.
  127. As they arrived in the clearing, Rhea would notice a dark and familiar energy in the air. Her head would continue to pulsate with each step closer she made to the clearing. Growing more and more intense to the point where she stopped herself.
  128. "...Agh...th-this damn headache..i need to sit down and rest..."
  129.
  130. Rhea would lean against a nearbytree and sigh to herself. She grips Li's dagger in her hand tightly as she places the other palm against her face
  131. "It must be my mana. Th-*mngrgh..I can't control it.."
  132.
  133. The woman sighs to herself and decides to stop this headache once and for all.
  134. "Mrgh..I didn't want to do this but..i cant go further unless I do. *Agh..s-screw this...Mind Fray!"
  135.
  136. With one quick, short blast, Rhea would lift her hand and extend her fingers outward toward her head. Sparkles emit from her palm as a loud -thunk- can be heard! Rhea's eyes widen and she jolts up as her brain is suddenly scrambled. She becomes nothing but a disoriented and dizzy mess before slumping onto the floor..
  137. "*groan..."
  138.
  139. Rhea would seemingly stay there for a few minutes before waking up...
  140.
  141.
  142.
  143.
  144. (Rhea Endore)
  145. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  146.
  147. [23:39] This... was absolutely confusing if anything. From Rhea's headache to the lack of a body, but as time soon began to pass, he started to get more anxious the further he continued to observe. There was something seriously wrong with the Endore, he was worried, but at the same time something felt off.
  148.
  149. "Alright..."
  150.
  151. That's all he manages before continuing to trail behind the woman. Arriving in the clearing, even he would be a to notice the energy in the air, though he wasn't completely sure what it was about for a moment.
  152.
  153. Anyways, stopping to rest as per her request, he simply stood still.
  154.
  155. When she collapsed, he immediately darted to her side, taking her in his arms for a moment.
  156.
  157. "Tsk... how is this supposed to help?"
  158.
  159. With great frustration, he lasy her on the soft gras and Waits until she wakes up.
  160. (Rain Multhunder)
  161. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  162.
  163. [23:52] Rhea's eyes would suddenly dart open! With a heavy "*gasp!" she would dart up from the floor
  164. "..."
  165.
  166. The girl would stay silent for a moment. Seemingly shaking her head and gazing around her surroundings. She turns her head toward Rain, tapping her chin in a confused manner. She seemed to remember Rain, but not a lot else
  167. "Wha...what...what's going...on? Rain..why...are we here?"
  168.
  169. Rhea would seemingly forget everything that end up to them arriving here
  170. "I remember we were in Theria. I...said goodbye to Eris..a-and..now im here?"
  171.
  172. Rhea's amnesia was certainly a problem now...that was for sure..
  173. "..Wait.."
  174.
  175. Thoughts and memories would suddenly flood Rhea's mind. She takes a look down at the dagger she was holding. She remembers her purpose for being here.
  176. "Oh, that's right Li. We were looking for him..l-looking...for...his......body."
  177.
  178. Rhea looks at Rain with a confused look on her face. Something seemed...wrong. She would dart toward him toward an opening area of the clearing as she suddenly remembered something. Something important. Something that...seemed to cause her great pain
  179. "N-no.."
  180.
  181. Rhea would begin to panic as she suddenly arrived toward a specific spot in the clearing. She would breathe heavily...memories began to flood her mind...
  182. "..No...b-by...by the gods...no! No! Wh-what...what...what have I done!?"
  183.
  184. Memories would begin to flood Rhea's mind. She would remember everything....
  185.
  186. "...No...no,no,no,no...no..."
  187.
  188.
  189. (Rhea Endore)
  190. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  191.
  192. [23:59] Flinching back once she woke up, he fell on his butt, observing the woman with a now calm expression... There was not much more that he could offer as a reaction, in fact, before he could even think of speaking, she suddenly darted away.
  193.
  194. Getting up and quickly following after the Endore, they arrive at a spot of the clearing, but he doesn't approach it, he let's get small figure block a good portion of the view while stands a few meters behind her.
  195.
  196. With a heavy frown, he finally asks.
  197.
  198. "Rhea... what really happened?"
  199.
  200. It wasn't something he wanted to ask, but after everything... it was obviously none of this was right. Amnesia? Subconsciously forcing herself to forget something? Whatever it was, her own words showed that she had done something he shouldn't.
  201.
  202. An invisible hand grasped at his heart at that notion, his hands gripping themselves into fists as he waited for the answer.
  203. (Rain Multhunder)
  204. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  205.
  206. Rhea would continue to crouch down near the specific area. Upon further inspection, it seems the area would have some sort of indentation in it. Piles upon piles of dark brown dirt would be on top of something. As if..someone was buried there
  207. "..."
  208.
  209. The wind would blow calmly as Rhea stood up and turned her back toward Rain. She would suddenly remember the events that transpired. The events that she completely erased from her psyche and her mind.
  210. "..."
  211.
  212. Rhea seemingly had done many bad things throughout her life. She's killed people, conned people, and committed thievery with a heavy heart. Things that she can not go back and fix. Things she regretted deeply. But what could she do? If she didn't do those things, she probably wouldn't be alive right now.
  213. But, she also had a good heart deep down. A heart that cared deeply for the ones she was close too. A heart that wanted to stop all of the bad things she did in favor forher daughter. To give her a better a life. To give someone the chance to be better than her. To...bring hope to this cruel and dark world
  214.
  215. Rhea would turn around slowly to face Rain. A cold wind blows through the two as her violet hues pierce Rain's. An eerie silence would overwhelm their senses on this cold, dark night
  216.
  217. "..."
  218.
  219. She would stay silent for a moment. Finally opening her mouth after what seems like ages.
  220.
  221. "....I killed him, Rain."
  222. (Rhea Endore)
  223. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  224.
  225. [00:19] It takes great effort to not suddenly collapse when the words reached him. The cold breeze felt like a slap hitting his face, almost causing the man to fall, but he remained standing.
  226.
  227. His hood was blown back, revealing the blank expression. and slightly widened eyes... he could not understand... or rather, he did not wish to, still, it suddenly make sense, at least to some extent. Herself refusing to remember, like she had blocked the memories.
  228.
  229. If there's one thing he could believe here, is that she truly loved Li, and therefore, it brought over the final question.
  230.
  231. "Why?"
  232.
  233. With narrowed eyes, he questions Rhea with a stern voice that demanded an answer, however, there was no emotion in his heart except the want for an explanation.
  234.
  235. He could not bring himself to fear or hate Rhea in anyway, but compassion was now thrown out of the window. He wanted... no, he needed an answer.
  236. (Rain Multhunder)
  237. Rhea's words would be rough and course as she spoke. It was almost as if her voice wasn't hers...
  238. "..."
  239.
  240. The woman would clench her fists and begin to tremble. Looking down toward the ground, she seemed to have nothing but shame and guilt in her eyes. She did not have the strength to even look at Rain in the eye..
  241.
  242. Rhea would look up at Li, her eyes emitting dark, shadowy tears
  243. "...I killed him.."
  244.
  245. She would utter those words once again. Another name would come from her mouth as she spoke in a soft whisper
  246. "Eris....I did it because...I-I..needed to...make her survive, Rain. I..couldn't have let her die"
  247.
  248. Rhea decides to tell Rain the full story, still refusing to give him eye contact
  249. "I remember. It was....a cold night. Eris was hungry and me and Li were running out of food. We couldn't just...go to the market and buy some. We had no money. Barely any to support ourselves let alone her. Plus, it would be too much of a risk. We...went out hunting. Everything was fine. We were having a good haul. Even tracked down and killed a full adult bear. I...I...I gave him the idea that...maybe...we can go and steal some rice from a nearby farm. I...wanted to get food for Eris. I cared so much about her. I thought...m-maybe we can steal some supplies for her. Me and Li got into an argument. He decided it was wrong to do something like that. As I kept arguing and arguing with him. I...felt something...deep within me. So much anger...so much rage...I don't know what happened.."
  250.
  251. Rhea would continue to cry as she talked through her teeth. She...seemed so regretful of her actions. So...ashamed
  252. "These...thoughts. These...feelings. I've been using this magic for so, so long. The shadows...they keep talking to me. Keep telling me to do these terrible, awful things. After so many years of using this magic...i-it's getting the best of me. I find myself thinking dark things, dark thoughts. Wanting to kill people, wanting to...murder them. I began to enjoy the thrill of killing people. Enjoy the sense of power and the despair that came from killing someone I...had to kill him. Something kept talking to me...luring me in that moment. They...wanted me to kill Li. My thoughts began racing. My mind was telling me that he was weak. The only thing on the forefront of my mind was Eris. Keeping her safe, taking care of her. Making sure she survived. That's all I cared about!"
  253.
  254. Rhea was not pulsating with dark energies. A shadowy aura emanates from her body as her temper flares up
  255. "I...had to kill him! I had too! Our baby was dying! We...w-we needed food! I...needed too! I NEEDED TOO!"
  256.
  257. Rhea's thought's would suddenly began taking control of her once again. Shadowy tendrils emit from her body as she grasps her head in pain. Dark thoughts and desires began to pour out from the back of her skull into the forefront of her mind
  258. "She was dying! I needed to help her! I NEEDED TOO! I...she had to survive! She had to!...S-she...she had too!" Rain..i-i..s-something in that moment kept talking to me. Wh-when...I saw my chance..."
  259.
  260. Rhea's voice would now have a low growl emanating from it
  261. "...I took it."
  262.
  263. Rhea raises up her head to meet Rain's gaze...she began to tremble
  264. "I....didn't...want to kill him! I loved him...s-so much! B-but..i..I-..I...*sigh. She...my mind...it kept telling me I needed too! It...it..my body moved on it's own. I...stabbed him, Rain. I..threw my knife while he had his back turned a-and...a-and...I...h-he.."
  265.
  266. Rhea fell to her knees. Crying and weeping tears of regret She seemed to have done this due to Ororo's influence. Constantly seeping into her mind and causing her to do bad things out of the notion of 'having to survive'. It was true, if she had not gotten that rice, there was a possibility her daughter cold die. Li knew that, Rhea knew that. In the moment, with her mind filled with anger, rage, and desperation, she felt as if this was the only way..
  267. "...I'...i'm...sorry...Rain...I...i'm so sorry. He...took his last breaths in my arms. I buried him. Right here...and then...I flashed my memory. I erased everything. Implanted a false one. Just...so I can hide the pain. Why!? Why did I do this!? I...had to protect her! I-...I had too!"
  268.
  269. Rhea's rambling's seem to be manic and nonsensical now. She committed murder. Murder of someone she loved...all because of the dark temptations of Ororo seeping in her mind
  270. ...Would she be forgiven? Could she live the rest of her life knowing she committed such an act? Either way, it seemed Rhea had been fully engrossed into these temptations. She was on the verge of a manic episode as the shadows engross her being..
  271. "Hahaha...the despair i felt when he fell onto the floor. The...thrill of killing someone i loved...i...enjoyed it! I...reveled in it!...Hahaha...hhahaha...wh-why? Why did i...why did i do it!?"
  272. (Rhea Endore)
  273. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  274.
  275. [01:36] His cloak started to flutter due to a passing current of wind. A now dark expression on the Multhunder's face at these piece of news he had just received.
  276.
  277. This was... not something he could honestly use his emotions on... whatever Rhea's case might have been, she fell to temptation and hid the truth from everyone, even herself, it didn't matter if it was to save their own daughter, hiding that wasn't a necessity.
  278.
  279. So, he analyzed this with a calm head... he couldn't do it otherwise or else he would fall into hatred. For many days and nights, months, he wished to give his son justice, to find the one who reaped their life and deal swift judgment... but he never expected this.
  280.
  281. At that thought, passages of the Gospel of Karadth pass through his mind. The Gospel of Justice from the book of Kraus which he had been readin recently.
  282.
  283. 'Justice is not seeking punishment forsomebody that has wronged you or your friend. That is revenge, and it is powered by selfish desires'
  284.
  285. He could not think with his hatred, but at the same time... he didn't want to do anything against her, for she was Family. Would he ever be able to live with himself if he did something like this? Was being compassionate here the right answer?
  286.
  287. 'Justice is not being lenient on those who have committed great crimes. That is mercy, and it is powered by compassion.'
  288.
  289. In a sense, he also felt the need of somehow ensuring that what happened with Li wouldn't happen with Eris... What if one day Rhea entered a fit of rage, and threatened her own daughter's life, she would have truly fallen into an abyss of madness, but he couldn't act on that.
  290.
  291. 'Justice is not to act those who have done no wrong, but may in the future. That is discrimination, and is powered by suspicion.'
  292.
  293. 'A fear of consequences does not constitute justice.'
  294.
  295. She already seemed to be living into a hell of her own... but hearing her, he knew it. She was beyond redemption through life at this point, it doesn't seem like anything would come out of helping her. Too many questions and things he thought about... but in the end, there was only one answer to this...
  296.
  297. Rain took his staff from his back, giving it a light spin in his hand before hammering the butt of the weapon on the ground, his grip so tight that his hand started to pale.
  298.
  299. "Rhea... you killed your husband... you regretted it, but instead of seeking atonement for it with your life, remembering the atrocious misdeed you have comitted, you chose to forcefully forget, and grieve instead of repent."
  300.
  301. "You must have done a lot of things in your life which one wouldn't be proud of doing for survival, no one can blame you for those coices, and it might sound like hipocrisy for I am only acting now... but I can't let this slide."
  302.
  303. "I'm tired of being so indecisive due to fear of consequences... even if you're Family, I can show you no compassion for this."
  304.
  305. Raising his staff, he points it towards her.
  306.
  307. "Li wouldn't want me to punish you for what you have done while at the same time, Eris desserves a mother, but you have fallen too deep."
  308.
  309. "You might think that I'm saying this out of revenge or of a sudden hypocritical sense of justice, think as you will, but I want you to know... despite what you have done."
  310.
  311. "I forgive you."
  312.
  313. His voice contained the usual calm and soft tone it carried when he spoke with a scared person... no hatred, anger, sorrow or compassion in it, just the truth. He couldn't bring himself to hate her... he just couldn't.
  314.
  315. "Accept your punishment... and meet Li in Avalon. Let the Stars cleanse you of your sins."
  316.
  317. The Former Deacon was ready for a fight from the moment that the shadows started to engross her being.
  318.
  319. (Rain Multhunder)
  320. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  321.
  322. [02:06] Rhea would be laying on the ground...crying, weeping, and laughing maniacally to herself. The truth of the matter was obvious. These dark, hidden temptations that she has been holding back all these years. The hatred she had for the world, the hatred that overwhelmed her for having to survive in this world. That everyone else was allowed to live and she was forced to survive...
  323. She hated it..
  324.
  325. It was only because Rhea left these thoughts unchecked that she was able to tap into the power of the shadows. Using her own dark impulses and thoughts, she would ravage her enemies with the power of the shadows. She was able to keep them in control for so long...but after succumbing to them and killing her fiancé. The one person who loved her, she could do nothing but succumb even further down the rabbit hole. Her daughter...Eris, was the only thing keeping her in check from lashing out. She truly did love her dearly. She would do anything to keep her alive...even if it meant doing something she would regret.
  326. "Why...why did...i do this?..ahahahah...HAHAHAH! Ehehe..HAHAHAH! Why? WHY!?"
  327.
  328. It seems these flashes of shadow emanating from her body and these headaches were a direct cause of Rhea trying to keep her temptations at bay. Though, it seemed to be a failure. If Rhea continued living...she would most likely unwillingly threaten her daughters life...even if she didn't want too
  329.
  330. Deep down, Rhea was indeed a good person. Someone who was dealt an unfortunate deck in life. Molded by the idea that she needed to survive, by the idea that this world was cruel, and that she had to become a hunter to survive so she could not become the prey. She had no time to cling on to the ideals she once held dear such as 'family' and 'friends'. As much as she wanted too...as much as she desired it.
  331. In the brief flashes she did show kindess to others. She would share a meal with someone, give them mercy, or even throw a coin or two into a beggars pan. She did seem to care, even if it the moments seemed little or seemed to not matter much.
  332. The fact of the matter still remained however, that Rhea was a dangerous human being. Even Rhea herself knew it, which is why she was so nonchalant about the idea of death. She knew that the longer she was alive, the more of a chance she had of hurting someone. She was too far gone now to even seek redemption or temptation..
  333.
  334. Rhea would stop her crying and rise up slowly from her knees. She wipes her tears, pulling out her dagger and flipping it across her hand as her cold, violet hues pierce Rain's
  335. "....I understand, Rain."
  336.
  337. Rhea's words would be stern and cold. She felt as if this scene would be a long time coming..
  338. The cold wind blows between the two. Her cape would be flowing in the wind
  339. "I'm a monster, Rain. I enjoy killing people. I love feeling despair. Killing my husband? It filled me with so much despair...so much regret. The shadows reveled in it...enjoyed it. With every drop of blood that dropped from my dagger, it would make me feel so much...joy. I hate that...i feel like this. I hate that this is the person that i have become. But...like you said, it's too late for redemption. Y-youre...doing the right thing, Rain. I'm...sorry that you have to be the one to put me down...heh. It was the reason i asked you to take care of Eris in the first place you know? I...i'm going to hurt her one of these days. I just know it...a-and...i...need to be put down.."
  340.
  341. Rhea would smirk and chuckle to herself
  342. "I am family...huh,Rain? I can't thank you enough for allowing me to live with you for such a short time. I'm sorry but, i can't die here. As much as i know i need to be put down, Eris needs a mother. All i can say is....thank you for forgiving me. For seeing the light within me."
  343.
  344. Rhea nods her head
  345. "The stars won't cleanse me for my sins, Rain. Nothing can. I accept your duty and that this is what you must do. But...i'm not giving up without a fight. I will kill you if i must. Not because i want too, but because i need see Eris again."
  346.
  347. Rhea would breathe a deep, heavy sigh of relief as she flips her dagger around her hand and prepares for combat Dark, shadowy tendrils would emit from her being and seemingly change her personality. When she was under the guise of the shadows...she was a bloodthirsty monster. And no longer the same, soft spoken, snarky woman that she wants to be.
  348.
  349. Rhea Endore, the Last of the Endores. The Shadow of the Esshar. The Deadly, Cunning Assassin of Moonfall, would have her final bout here and now. Her story...finally coming to a close
  350.
  351. "Mhmhmhmh...hahahaha. I wont accept my punishment so easily, Rain. Now...accept your death...and be swallowed by the abyss.."
  352. (Rhea Endore)
  353. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  354.
  355. [02:25] No more words were needed after everything that they both had said. Rain had made his resolution to kill Rhea, and she had done the same. One acting in what he perceived as justice, the other for love towards their daughter.
  356.
  357. There was too much gray in this world, but the Multhunder had to stay firm and believe that what he was doing was right, so without hesitation, he delivered strike after strike upon the Endore's body.
  358.
  359. His holy magic overpowering her, causing their shadows to writhe and contort upon contact with his light.
  360.
  361. For the first time in years... he was not fighting out of a sense of protection towards someone, but towards an ideal. Something he can't say he had experienced since his time in the Church, when he faced occultists such as Heidar.
  362.
  363. Allowing one of Rhea's strikes to hit him in full, he used the opportunity to hit her with a blast of light at point blank distance.
  364.
  365. As she was pushed back, the shadow magi would beable to see as though the wound in Rain had gone back in time, even his clothes were now in a perfect state in the area she had hit.
  366.
  367. His staff felt heavy in his hand, but he needed to finish what he had started.
  368. (Rain Multhunder)
  369. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  370.
  371. [02:37] Rhea would breathe a heavy sigh of regret before disappearing into the abyss of the shadows. Darting toward Rain and clashing with his staff in an instant. They're eyes would meet and sparks would fly as Rhea's blade clashes with Rain's staff. This was no game anymore...she was fighting to survive. Fighting for her daughter.
  372. So she can see her one last time..
  373.
  374. The world was truly too cruel and gray. Each side had their own reasons for fighting. Both Rhea and Rain would clash for out of respect and love for what the held dear. Fighting for the sake of making this world a better place. Whether it would be Rhea's survival and the survival of her daughter. Or Rain's survival and Rhea's death preventing her from hurting anyone else. It was a battle of wits and survival. Both combatants staying silent as they clashed
  375. As if their resolves were set, no words needed to be exchanged. No taunts, no words, no mercy.
  376.
  377. Rhea would find herself overpowered by the barrage of holy magic coming her way. Contorting and distorting the insides of her body and the shadows within her. She would overwhelm Rain with a variety of dirty tricks and tactics to keep him at bay. She would warp his mind and barrage him with many illusions as she seemingly disappears and reappears from the darkness in extremely quick and fast movements. Each slash would instill Rain with darkness that even his holy magic seemed to have trouble overcoming. Out of respect for Rain, she would not be taunting her opponent this time however, as she normally did.
  378. "Agh!"
  379.
  380. Rhea would launch toward Rain with a large horizontal claw slash. No mercy would be given as she launches him back. Her eyes widen as she realizes she may need to switch to a different tactic to combat Rain's time manipulation.
  381.
  382. Rhea is blasted back as she is his with the full force of a blast of light directly to her chest. She skids across the ground and suddenly disappears. The power of her shadows would grow weaker and weaker with each and every wound. The power of holy magic completely overwhelming her Occultic powers
  383.
  384. With a fury look in her eye, Rhea disappears into the shadows as she assaults Rain's mind with illusions. Not ready to give up just yet, the forest would be destroyed as their battle continued. A permanent imprint being left in their wake.
  385.
  386. (Rhea Endore)
  387. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  388.
  389. [02:51] The sound mythril weapons clashing and scraping against one another being clearly heard through the now dark forest. It appears that they had been going at it for quite sometime now, hadn't they?
  390.
  391. Despite his overpowering prowess, he can't say that this was an easy fight, the tricks an illusionist can pull on someone's mind always cause one to make mistakes that in normal circumstances would cost one's life. Luckily, thanks to the massive ammount of holy energy spread through the area, he could easily pipoint his opponent's location.
  392.
  393. Never dodging or weaving out of her attacks, but instead meeting them head on with incredible defense that only someone who specializes in holy magic and the Fomorian style can have.
  394.
  395. Allowing a claw made of shadows to sweep through his body, he broke through it, his hand shooting forward to grab Rhea's neck and pull her off the ground as he stepped forward, his body leaning forward and then towards the ground as he slams her in the earth, creating a small crater, a final pulse of holy magic being emitted with the finishing move.
  396.
  397. At this point, both of them would have several wounds through their body, Rain's not as bad as Rhea's, obviously.
  398.
  399. "It is over, Rhea."
  400.
  401. He stated, not provoked.
  402.
  403. "Before I finish you off, and send you to the Stars. I request that you write a letter to your daughter. Write what you wish on it, I will give it to her on her eighteenth birthday.
  404.
  405. Now, do you also have any final wish, a reasonable one which I can grant?"
  406.
  407. Her destiny was sealed.
  408. (Rain Multhunder)
  409. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  410.
  411. [03:10] Rhea would continue to struggle against Rain...as the battle continued on. She would find herself waning...but not out of exhaustion or pain. She found herself knowing that her time was at an end. Fighting Rain would be fruitless as they continued to clash. Her death was the only way to end this pain. To end the nonsense that plagued her mind. Her time was coming...she would die in the same spot her husband did..
  412.
  413. The sound of mithril weapons clashing would fill the air. Rhea's blade proved to be dull and rusty, making it easy to break.
  414. With one loud -ting!- , Rain's staff would suddenly clash with Rhea's. Her trusty dagger, 'Rose' out of years of use and years coming in contact with the blood of so many others...it's life would come to an end as it splits in two. The broken pieces of the blade and the hilt landing into the soft ground below.
  415. Without speaking a word, Rhea would attempt to end the fight here and now. Opting to fill her entire fist with energy and attempting to slice the man in two with a large shadowy claw.
  416. "DIE!"
  417.
  418. Rhea's world would go into slow motion for a moment. Her world seemingly stops as her life flashes before her eyes as she swings down on the man with her final attack. The bad memories. The happy times she had. The love she had for her daughter...it would all blast through her mind in an instant. She begins to wane....her shadows fall through and dissipate before she even gets the chance to slice Rain. But it wasn't out of pain or exhaustion.
  419. She made the choice to do so...
  420.
  421. In one swift motion, a hand grabs her by the neck, her world would seemingly go into slow motion once again as she is slammed onto the ground with the might of Avalon
  422. "Agh!"
  423.
  424. A large shriek would fill the air. The battle was over. Rain had won. Rhea's time on this world was coming to a close.
  425. "...Heh...y-you...got me.."
  426.
  427. Rhea would cough and spit up blood onto Rain's face. She seemed to be in immense pain. A final pulse of holy magic emits from Rhea as her shadowy tendrils burst out of her body! This would be met with a shriek as Rhea feels her body contorting and fighting the magic within her
  428. "AAAAAHHHH!"
  429.
  430. Shadows would begin to ooze out of Rhea. Dark, shadowy tendrils bursting and shooting out of her body. Her right eye's void would seemingly cry dark black tears..
  431.
  432. Rhea would lay their on the ground. She would give no attempt to struggle. A victim to her fate, she accepts her death.
  433. "Rain.." she would mutter softly
  434. "...Th-thank you..."
  435.
  436. Rhea would slowly raise up a hand on touch Rains cheek with it
  437. "....Don't...hate yourself f-for...this. Please, continue to live your life. Kn-*cough! ..kn-know...you did the right...*cough...the...right thing.."
  438.
  439. Rhea would continue to breathe heavily as blood emits from her mouth. It would be dark-reddish in color. As if it combined with the shadows itself
  440.
  441. "..It's..over. Finally...everything..is over..."
  442.
  443. Rhea would look at the stars above as she thought about her life. She would giggle and laugh in a snarky manner
  444. "Heh...th-this is the end huh? Rain...i...i'm scared...i..don't want to die...you know? I...wanna..live...i wanna...see..Eris...one last time.."
  445.
  446. Rhea would begin to cry. The thoughts of her daughter racing across her mind
  447. "But...i know. This is the best thing to do. For Eris, for you, for the world. Please...end me. End this violence once and for all."
  448.
  449. Rhea takes a deep sigh of relief as she thinks of her daughter
  450. "..A letter? Okay...i can do that."
  451.
  452. She would look into Rain's eyes as she utters her final request
  453. "One final...wish? Rain...my last, final wish from me to you...is to take care of Eris for me. Take care of her. Watch over her, and make her grow up to be a light of hope from others. Make her...ss-strong. Don't be afraid to hide the truth about her parents toward her. But...give her a happy life. Treat her as you would your own child. My only wish...is that she grows up safe and sound...and...happy. And that...she grows up with the courage to face the world head on.."
  454.
  455. With that, Rhea would get ready to write her letter to Eris.
  456. (Rhea Endore)
  457. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  458.
  459. [03:20] With blood on his face, he felt Rhea's hand caressing his cheek as she told him to not hate himself... saying that he had done the right thing. He might have, but that would not stop this feeling, of his stomach turning around and burning.
  460.
  461. For her sake though, to show that he wouldn't break, he kept a stern expression. No matter how hard it was, no matter how much hesitation he felt like he should be feeling, just to give himself the opportunity of turning back on his words and actions, he remained resolute.
  462.
  463. Grabbing Rhea's hand, Rain went down to a knee beside the Endore.
  464.
  465. "I promise you, I'll protect, cherish, and love Eris as if she was my own. I once again assure you, while she's in my care, I'll not allow harm to come towards her as long as I draw breath."
  466.
  467. "I promise that I'll help her become a great woman, to become the person you couldn't due to forced circumstances."
  468.
  469. "And don't worry... I'll definetly tell her the truth... about everything. Once she is ready."
  470.
  471. With a heavy nod, he took out a pencil and a piece of paper from his pocket and gave it to the woman, though first, he would clean her hands from any blood with water magic, as he didn't think it would be good to stain it... would be quite awkward and maybe haunting to offer it to Eris if it had her mother's blood.
  472. (Rain Multhunder)
  473. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  474.
  475. [03:31] wood.
  476. (Rain Multhunder)
  477. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  478.
  479. [03:31] {Item} You picked up Paper (Blank). Dropped by Rain Multhunder. .
  480. [03:31] Rhea would smile softly toward Rain. She would continue to smile knowing her daughter was in safe hands.
  481. Truly, that was all Rhea cared about. The only thing that mattered to her.
  482. She would continue to stroke Rain's face. As if too comfort him and tell him it was okay. She would have a hard time standing up as her wounds got to her. Her blood seeping from beneath her clothes and dropping onto the floor.
  483. "Heh, i know this is kinda greedy rain, but...i...ask for another wish. If you can bury me next to my husband...it would mean a lot to me.."
  484.
  485. Now sitting on the ground, the girl would not have much energy to do much else but write her letter to her daughter
  486. "Thank you, Rain. Thank you for everything...and thank you for fulfilling my wish."
  487.
  488. Rhea's consciousness would wane in and out as she sat down. She didn't even seem to notice Rain cleaning her bloody hands. She would take the pen and paper from Rain and use the rest of her strength to write this letter to her daughter
  489.
  490.
  491. (Rhea Endore)
  492. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  493.
  494. [03:44] Nothing would calm his inner turmoil, not even the strokes from Rhea's hand... so with a heavy heart, he couldn't do anything but endure those emotions as he waited for her to finish writing.
  495.
  496. He would only when she mentioned being buried besides Li.
  497.
  498. "That was my intention from the beginning."
  499.
  500. Afterwards, he keeps quiet until she's done..
  501.
  502. Taking the letter and carefully folding it, he places it on his pocket. He didn't plan on reading it, not now and not ever. This was for Eris, and Eris only. Now... with a deep breath, one of his hands goes to cup Rhea's cheek.
  503.
  504. "Any last words you would like me to give your daughter or any other person, Rhea? I promise I will deliver them."
  505.
  506. Once she said her part, the man would nod his head. Leaning forward, he gave a kiss to her forehead.
  507.
  508. "Now you can rest, Rhea. I hope you find consolation in the Star's embrace, and peace once you meet Li in Avalon."
  509.
  510. Without any more words, unless there was anything to be said, a pulse of mana would be sent through his hand that was touching her cheek. It would destroy her nervous system and shut off her brain, all in a split second.
  511.
  512. Her death would be painless.
  513. (Rain Multhunder)
  514. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  515.
  516. [03:46] {Item} You drop To Eris, With Love.
  517. [03:46] {Item} You picked up To Eris, With Love. Dropped by Rain Multhunder. .
  518. [03:46] {Item} You drop To Eris, With Love.
  519. [04:06] Rhea begins to write on the piece of paper. Her vision waning and becoming ever so blurry as her handwriting gets sloppier the more time that passes. It seemed that the loss of blood was getting to her
  520. Rhea's handwriting would be beautiful and elegant as she wrote, even if it would tend to get sloppier near the end, Rhea would make sure it was neat enough to read. She would use the last of her strength to do so
  521. "..."
  522.
  523. Rhea would stay silent as she folds up the piece of paper and gives it to Rain. Dropping her pen onto the ground and slumping herself onto the floor
  524. "Heh...you know..*cough..*cough..i..never thought i'd be afraid of death. I welcomed it. Hel, i even...cherished it and reveled in it. But now, that...*cough..i...lay here, saying my dying words. I...realize, my life wasn't forfeit. I...have someone i know i'll be watching over now."
  525.
  526. Rhea would gaze into Rain's eyes as he cusped her cheek
  527. "Well, you can..*hack!...guh. You can give me back my eye...that would be useful.." she would say in a snarky tone
  528.
  529. Rhea chuckles to herself as she rolls onto her back. Looking at the stars one last time
  530. "Last words? Hm..well..i. I can't say i have any. Everyone i loved is now 3 feet under besides Eris. So...i guess you can tell her. That i love her. O-oh! And *hack!...*cough..*cough..t-tell her n-no boys! N-not until shes like...25! Or something.."
  531.
  532. Rhea seemingly had a carefree attitude about her death. Maybe she was just happy that it was finally over
  533. "I sure hope i do too, Rain. Heh, i doubt the gods aren't gonna send me to Hel, but...well, i can hope."
  534.
  535. Rhea breathes a sigh of relief. She faces her death proudly. Relieved by the fact she can see her husband again
  536. "Man, i have a lot...of..*gh…*guh...o-ow...explaining to do to Li don't i? Well, enough talk, Rain. I'm ready."
  537.
  538. With that, Rhea would utter her final words as Rain placed his hand on her cheek. She was comforted by his kiss. Seemingly not afraid anymore of her destiny She closes her eyes. Ready to meet her lover in Avalon.
  539. "...Eris....i love you. Be good for me."
  540. Rhea would sigh one last time. Taking her final breath, her words echo throughout the night
  541. "I'm coming, Li."
  542.
  543. "..."
  544.
  545.
  546. With a pulse of mana being sent through her body. Rhea would feel nothing but blackness engulf her world. Her death was painless. She could finally rest...knowing everything in the world...was going to be okay..
  547.
  548. Rhea Alice Endore. The Cunning, Deadly Assassin of Moonfall. The Shadow of Esshar. Would take her last breath. A woman of darkness and shadow, Rhea proved that she had a kind heart deep down and cared deeply about her family and the ones she loved. While she had been dealt a bad deck and certainly had some issues, she had left her mark on Esshar with stories of her overwhelming personality, cunning nature, deadly skills, and snarky attitude. Her story would end here. She would be nothing but a memory as she enters her last and final frontier into the afterlife of Avalon. She would die in the shadows just how she lived. Rhea Endore leaves Esshar without any regrets. Knowing her daughter will pass on the torch and becoming a symbol of hope for this cruel...dark world.
  549.
  550. The curtain falls and the deed would be done. Her destiny awaits...
  551. (Rhea Endore)
  552. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
