  1. He wanted to leave Nostvale; the sacrifice that had taken place there was off-putting to him and others, and with news of Tilandreans returning to Tilandre; it's no surprise that the Sarradian would've followed! Eyes are affixed upon his bracelets; wondering about their power. They seemed to make weapons that were more.. Pure than most ice magic -- at least, the weapon molds that most could make with cryomancy; Amir knew there was something to the weapons.
  2.
  3. Either way, perhaps focussing upon the gauntlets was not the best way to go about something like this -- the Sarradian had soon found himself lost -- or rather, maybe he'd forgotten which way was which; perhaps he was on the right direction but had lost track of where he was.. Oh, these cave walls -- they all seemed too similar! If only he could feel the vibrations in the earth or something like that.
  4.
  5. "Darn..", he mutters under his breath -- the blonde-haired boy seemed to be lost! Or, it seemed that he thought himself lost; moving forwards would've eventually landed him at the Tilandrean outpost.
  6. (Amir)
  7. Lymeagh rested on her perch nestled away in a dark corner of the cave. Decent enough shelter and good for keeping track of things as well. A myriad of thin almost invisible spider webs covered a large area all of it attached to various points near the Arachne. A simple trap but one that was practically impossible to detect in this dark cave easily. So it was while she waited that she suddenly felt a small movement in the webbing.
  8.
  9. Delicate fingers moved to lift up the string in question as another moved as well. It seemed something had tripped her webs. A single leg pressed against the wall before another...and then another. Eventually she was walking along the wall quietly. It was then that she spotted the reasoning behind her sudden intrusion. It seemed some prey had managed to find itself near her nest!
  10.
  11. Unfortunately for Amir the further they began to tread the thicker her webbing along the flor would become. While spider webs weren't much threat by tiny spiders by an Arachne like herself? They were much stronger and more durable then others...as they were often used to ensnare prey upon them. Considering they feasted on living humans? One can imagine how strong this stuff really was.
  12.
  13. Lymeagh moved towards the roof hanging upside down as she stalked Amir. "My my my...what do we have here...?" she said her voice reverberating off the walls of the dark cave. There was scritching noises as she moved about the shadows of the roof. All along the walls and floor did it seem to be moving...spiders. Hundreds of them all dancing about the walls and floors now stirred by their Mistress's awakening and the presence of new blood.
  14. (Lymeagh)
  15. He can hear his own footsteps as he moves; the cave seemed lonesome -- sad -- and... Well, it seemed somewhat depressing. There was no-one here; he longed to find any of his friends where he could find none, of course.. Bleu eyes flash around the area; of course, not literally -- they're glancing around for anything -- the cave -- it was very, very dark. He couldn't even see much. Unfortunately -- Amir was not a light magi -- nor any who could produce 'light'. No, he had other methods.
  16.
  17. Of course, it didn't take long for the Arachne's webs to become more... Difficult to move through -- it does not take long at all for something of that sort, the Sarradian soon lifting a foot in confusion. Why were things becoming more groggy? It was strange! However, it's also not long before he can hear a voice within the dark; a voice of... Well, it seemed to be bouncing everywhere!
  18.
  19. Eyes glance around; perhaps she could see better in the dark, the Sarradian could see nothing; not a single glimpse! Of course, with the question does the boy. . . Seem scared! A gasp of sorts is heard before he's stopped in his tracks.
  20.
  21. ". . . Where.. What -- who is...?", he asks; it was clearly someone he'd never met, but, perhaps -- perhaps they had good intent.
  22.
  23. Not likely.
  24. (Amir)
  25. Lymeagh giggled as it echoed throughout the area. How cute...a delectable and scared little one. It had been a while since she had some good fun with a person so why not play with this one for a little while? Nestling up against the roof of the cavern she began using her Spinneretes to begin laying out some more webbing on the roof moving about slowly as she did so.
  26.
  27. "Well now a lost little one in my den?" she asked as she continued to slowly weave her web among the ceiling preparing for a little fun. "No need to be so frightened. I just want to play a little game with you." she said before pausing in her place and looking down at Amir from above. "You'd like to play right? Of course it's just a friendly little game. Little Lost one if you play my game I'll show you the way out."
  28.
  29. Whether she was lying or not was impossible to tell but the sound of her voice was gentle and pleasent almost. Like it was a regular woman speaking that was amused by something. "What do you think? Wanna play a game?" she asked as she began moving about once more. The scritching noise heard as more and more webbing was being created intricately. This game was going to be fun...whether they accepted it or not!
  30. (Lymeagh)
  31. Amir didn't know what else to do -- it seemed that he had been trapped or something of the sort -- so unaware and non-attentive is he to the things around him, the webs being weaved and the fact that Lymeagh may as well have been above him; nothing was he truly aware to, nothing did he know what happening -- only that a strange lady was now talking to him -- his feet were sticky and he couldn't escape!
  32.
  33. The reverberations made things more difficult to get through -- the Sarradian couldn't detect where her voice was truly coming from! So, he couldn't really fight -- could he? Likely not; it was very, very unlikely that Amir would be able to defeat someone he could not see. For now, however.. It seemed that he had a possible way out -- complying with what she spoke.
  34.
  35. Oh, the words from Ninurta so easily rang out in his head. "Be careful when walking through those caves, Amir.". Where was he now? In trouble -- in the caves -- so, he has to go with it.
  36.
  37. "... Okay. What game.", he asks; his words seemed sharp; as if his sentences had no flow..
  38. (Amir)
  39. Lymeagh chuckled loudly as she began descending from the roof upon a long line of webbing. Landing down in front of Amir a small distance away she grins down at him as she stands at her full height. Steel blue eyes focus down on Amir as her slender pale body is revealed. She would likely be quite the beauty up until you got to her waist. From there it was all spider so unless you were a leg man this was probably quite disconcerting.
  40.
  41. "It's easy! It's just a little thing we like to do for fun and amusement my little fly." she said as she lifted up a finger and tugged gently. The webbing attached to it react to the tug. "All you gotta do is just survive! Easy no? Well there's a catch. It'll just be my little babies here trying to catch you! Though be wary they have quite the bite. Too many and you might really get in trouble!"
  42.
  43. Repelling back up quickly as she did so the webbing on the roof fell and cascaded down surrounding the area Amir was in. Webbing large enough to grab had been made while there were countless tinier ones. "Let the games commence!" she said as she began moving about the room. There was scritching noise...then the webs began to shake.
  44.
  45. The reason was very obvious as dozens of tiny spiders began flooding the webbings she had made. There were so many types from tiny ones to much larger ones. Brown recluses to Bird eaters. They began crawling along the webs as Lymeagh stayed back to watch.
  46.
  47. And then the spiders descended some were even leaping towards Amir! It was a veritable Spider hell but now all Amir needed to do was just...run! Would Amir figure out how to play this game and survive? "Tick tock the clock is ticking. Two minutes is the time! Have fun~" she quipped as she began watching from above her hands ready to twist and pull strings to help the spiderlings out.
  48.
  49. Amusement at its finest.
  50. (Lymeagh)
  51. Oh, where was the woman? He had no diea where Lymeagh may have been -- up until she landed in front of him -- and the Sarradian suddenly realizes exactly who she is; he could see just a little bit before him, the woman seeming somewhat... Eerie. Scary. What words could be used to describe an Arachne? Perhaps elegant until you got to a certain point -- either way, he knew he was definitely in trouble.
  52.
  53. Of course, it seemed that -- the webbing that he didn't even know was now there; the sticky substance proving to be a bit of a trouble, though, he could probably find a way out of it! It was just simple webs, right? Right..? No -- he was not right.
  54.
  55. For after brief moments does the Sarradian realize that they began to shake; that they were violently becoming spider-filled -- that the creatures within were going to try and kill him! Oh, this would not fare well for the boy with the Sarradian blood; and he has to quickly devise a plan.
  56.
  57. "AAAAAH!", he screams, wind magic attempting to rip and tear at the webs -- the spiders slowly being blown off! He could feel some of the bites -- they were.. Well, they definitely felt different
  58. (Amir)
  59. Lymeagh giggled as the myriad of spiders began moving around. The floor, the air, from above and the sides. The spiders all weren't nimble but many of them were. The scream was like music to her ears and she almost wanted to sing a little tune from the old days though such a thing would be incredibly unfitting to do so.
  60.
  61. Still when the child began using magic? She smiled as poison dripped from the corners of her mouth like saliva. "Oh? So magic is your answer? Very well then! Let's make this a little more fun!" she exclaimed loudly as she began moving about the cavern roof. With a little innate magic she began coating certain webs of hers with poison.
  62.
  63. While not immediately dangerous exposed contact was likely going to become a huge issue. While they could likely avoid the poison coated webs there was still the risk of the many spiders in the area. In fact wind should be met by wind! So the Arachne began using her own wind to help the spiders out. Some even aimed for the youths head.
  64.
  65. Thirty seconds had passed but could Amir hold out for the remaining time?
  66. (Lymeagh)
  67. The spiders that attempted to crawl on -- and bite the boy -- the Sarradian could do nothing but scream; his voice heard throughout the caverns as everything went on. She was trying to kill him; he knew that he shouldn't have lost where he was going. Oh, if he could've seen where she was; the Sarradian would be beating the tar out of her right now, but.. He couldn't.
  68.
  69. She disappeared from his sight the moment she went more than a few feet away from him! Oh, and with the webs slowly being coated with her own poison does the Sarradian find things more difficult -- wind meeting wind causing spiders to be crushed between the two forces; or thrown in whomever could overpower the other!
  70.
  71. Thirty seconds... He was barely keeping up -- Amir resorts to trying to block off the woman's spiders with earth magic -- starting off with walls of earth and going counter clockwise!
  72.
  73. "Aaaaah!"
  74. (Amir)
  75. Lymeagh watched with some manner of joy as the boy continued to scream in panic. It was so enjoyable to listen too and watch. While her spiderlings weren't very lethal to a magi by themselves the sheer number of them would more then make up for it for even an established Magi could succumb to continous poison attacks.
  76.
  77. Whilst she toyed with the child she began wandering above the roof once more approaching a small coccoon...or perhaps an egg sac. She gently placed her hands upon it and tenderly stroked it. She had some plans for the future but it would be some time before she could realize them.
  78.
  79. Turning back towards the matter at hand she faced the boy entirely again and licked her lips a little. "See what I mean? Isn't this game so much fun? The people who play are never the same." she said as she returned to moving the webs and sending the spiders about the room. She didn't care if they died, they'd repopulate quickly enough, but there was still so much time to have some fun.
  80.
  81. "You're almost finished! Can you still keep it up?"
  82. (Lymeagh)
  83. Oh, it was horrible as this all went down -- the poison made him feel weak and queasy inside; the spiders made him feel afraid; as though he couldn't move without that binding sense of paranoia to his life -- as though the spiders would be on him for ages. Oh, how does one react to this -- he couldn't see anything; he was afraid of the dark, that was for sure.
  84.
  85. He wouldn't be sleeping well, that was for sure; the boy was quite clearly terrified of the spiders; the idea of them biting him, injecting him with toxins; and the earth walls that he couldn't even bring to conjure that well -- they seemed to fall after a bit! Well, he could only keep trying; but tears were beginning to stream down his face, until eventually -- he summons forth a shroud of earth magic to shell around his body.
  86.
  87. They couldn't bite through rock -- that was for certain. Amir stared up -- but he did not see her. . .
  88.
  89. "Try -- tr.. Try me.", he fumes! He refused to lose this game!
  90. (Amir)
  91. Lymeagh stretched out a little nestling into a hammock of weaved webs. Maybe she'd take a nap like this afterwards. Plus this ones blood was going to be quite delicious as a meal for later. However the introduction of Earth Magic was quite the dampener...or would be in most cases.
  92.
  93. "Oh? Clever little one but you still have other places. Ears, eyes, nose, mouth. Yet will you sacrifice these to remain safe?" she asked as she giggled a little before leaning over to look down at them. "Oh but I feel like you should know something! Spiders are resilient and clever creatures did you know that? Inf act some Spiders weave webs, others leave traps, but there are some spiders..."
  94.
  95. She trailed off as she let loose a few new spiders to the bunch. "...who burrow under the Earth." she finished as she began laughing loudly. Spiders were such wonderful creatures. They could live anywhere, hunt anything, and were the second greatest predators in existance. The first being the Arachne like herself. Still time was almost up and the end was near. She'd keep her word...but only if they managed to survive and remain conscious for the last remaining seconds.
  96. (Lymeagh)
  97. Oh, the earth magic that he was using was to defend himself; trying to block out the pain; trying to block out the bites of the spiders; Amir knew that one could not damage a Sarradian who was covered in rock -- fangs could not pierce that. Well, usually -- they couldn't, he didn't know! Earth magic seemed to be his best bet, however...
  98.
  99. Once the burrowing spiders were released; the Sarradian is facing a newly acquired sense of arachnophobia; feeling as they attempt to dig into his skin, the Sarradian trying to free himself with basic wind magic. Oh how horrified he was; how desperately wanted to escape but could not.. The tick webs were still there -- he made hmiself even heavier with the rock, it was unlikely that he could escape that well now.
  100.
  101. "I. . .", he begins; earth magic beginning -- and attempting -- to close up the 'wounds on the shell made, preventing the spiders from getting through... "Won't... Lose!", he calls -- and with that, Amir does the thing where he stands tall, and, with a burst of air and wind combined.. Poof! The creatures had all fallen off of him for a brief moment; but there remained little seconds on the clock in which he slowly begins to rise to the ceiling -- attempting to stay clear. God bless earth magic..
  102. (Amir)
  103. The spiders had done their job and they were filling the child up with poison. Magi were something else to be sure as she watched him struggle again and again. There was only so much that they could do, however, and amusement filled her face. However as the spiders were blown off she giggled lightly. "Oh my. You did well child." she said as she looked at the slowly rising child.
  104.
  105. "Well as promised you win! I'll lead you to safety! Though I'm afraid I can't have you telling people about where I am so..." she trailed off as she leapt from her perch and descended down to suddenly appear right in front of him. "Sorry but I'm gonna have to rob you of your senses!"
  106.
  107. On that note her cheeks filled up and then she suddenly coughed up a poisonous cloud towards Amir. The chemicals of numerous spider bites began reacting boiling quickly and threatening to rob Amir of their sight temporarily. The combined poison also carried with it the sense of deadened nerves and tissue like they were rotting.
  108.
  109. While temporary for sure it would hopefully be enough to ensure little resistance. "Thanks for playing my little game. It was quite fun! I'm sure we'll play again sometime." she cooed. Once she was sure the venoms had their intended effect on them she'd carry him out of the cave and deposit him somewhere. He'd probably be blind for a little bit but hey...at least they were alive still!
  110. (Lymeagh)
  111. Amir was trying to keep away with the poison; he knew that any more of it could mean bad news -- but he managed to win the game, so, the boy would've looked at the spider-woman; she seemed to be coming into view even if only for brief moments -- and he knew he was going to be free if the drider was to keep her word on the subject...
  112.
  113. However, perhaps it seemed that.. She had a condition; and he would soon find that he could not see anything; condemned to a fate of blindness for the rest of his life, it seemed -- and he would soon be dragged off to. . . Well, hopefully safety... If not, well, hopefully he'd be found! Either way, he now felt like death or something -- with the rotting.. Feeling.
  114.
  115. Along with he could no longer see; who knew how long that would last! Perhaps it would last little -- perhaps it would be permanent.
  116.
  117. Either way, the boy would've been found near the Tilandrean Outpost unconscious.
  118. (Amir)
