- Hey guys, how’s it goin?
- Some games I don't like when they're hard. When a game looks and sounds amazing, I don't want to have to think about the gameplay at the same time. This is why I hated Celeste. When the look of the game is not that special, I can put my brain power towards focusing on the gameplay and appreciating how hard it can be. Yu-Gi-Oh! ZEXAL and Pokemon Puzzle League have turned into this scenario.
- ZEXAL feels less interesting on Newcomer difficulty because the opposing decks are less competitive. This is why I have been playing only on Duel Champion. I may try Newcomer at some point to fill out that end of the leaderboard. I have plenty of time to do so before the Yu-Gi-Oh! Speedrun Marathon on April 18. I will be playing ZEXAL at the marathon.
- Pokemon Puzzle League VS COM feels less interesting on lower difficulties because I'm not having to think about the CPU as much in order to win. The only thing I can do is hope the RNG allows me to prevail much quicker. I played Easy mode again for the first time in a while and got quite numb to it. The record is 5:49. My best is 5:51. I kept getting 5:57s and 5:59s among the myriad of resets. It's the grind that you expect it to be and one that I have little desire to do repeatedly right now. That said, I do think my Saturdays of not fulfilling incentives will be going towards Nintendo Puzzle Collection PDP V-Hard just for some change of pace from ZEXAL.
- That’s my life story for the week. Until next time, everyone, thanks for reading!
