  1. ~Tune in the Painting~
  2.
  3. *Zenisha & Jay*
  4.
  5. "C'mon, Al, you gotta put more emotion into that piece!"
  6. "How do you exactly do that, Nisha?"
  7. "Establish a connection with the song, FEEL that connection. It always works for me. I simply go along with it and embrace the rhythm it creates!"
  8. "Sorry, but I don't do 'feel'. More of how do you do 'feel'? That probably only works for you though, Nisha."
  9. "Hmmm, why don't you try putting yourself unto Niccolo's shoes? You are playing his composition of 'La Campanella'. It could help you!"
  10. "Please remind me why we're even doing this?"
  11.
  12. A gasp escaped from the brunette's mouth, looking shocked at her friend's question.
  13.
  14. "Al! The Romantic Period is called the 'Romantic Period' for a reason. It heavily emphasizes the EMOTIONS, IMAGINATION, and INDIVIDUALISM of a person which makes it more passionate and expressive compared to other eras!"
  15. "Was that why you kept on asking me songs that give off 'Nationalism' vibes?"
  16. "...Yes...?"
  17.
  18. Alice sighed.
  19.
  20. "But then, wouldn't it be better if I had my own style? I mean, didn't you say that it focuses on individuality which is the variety of musical styles because of the freedom of speech during that period?"
  21. "A-- ...Yeah,,"
  22. "Y'know what? Why don't we just rest for a while, alright? Alright."
  23. "But our competition is tomorrow-!"
  24. "Rest. You've been stressing over this for a week already, Nisha. You've done enough practice, so what's the harm with resting? We don't exactly want you to burn yourself out."
  25. "Ok,, you do have a point,,"
  26. "Like to join me for some tea? My father brought some over during his last visit."
  27. "What kind?"
  28. "Earl Grey"
  29.
  30. Zenisha's previous had turned 180° after hearing it. It had been one of her favorite teas, but she'd rarely indulge in it, only when Alice offered her some.
  31.
  32. "I would love to"
  33.
  34. She stood up from where she was sitting on and joined the pinkette at the table.
  35.
  36. "Oh right, how's progress with Mr. Asendo?"
  37. "Wh-What?" Her friend's spluttering speech gave away how surprising that question was to her.
  38.
  39. Thankfully for both, Alice was able to keep enough of her composure to not spill any of the piping hot water unto any of them and gently set the kettle down.
  40.
  41. "You heard me, how's progress so far? Did my advice work-?"
  42. "I...I haven't exactly done it yet,,"
  43. "Jeez! Just talk to him, Al. It's not like it'll be the end of the world if you did."
  44. "Easy for you to say..." Alice grumbled.
  45. "B-Besides, at least I KNOW his name, unlike you, Nisha," she shot back.
  46. "I'm also working on that courage too! You're not the only one,,"
  47. "Mhm"
  48. "Oh, look at the time. I better be on my way home."
  49.
  50. Zenisha stood up and grabbed her bag that was lying on the chair where she was practicing a while ago.
  51.
  52. "Thanks for the tea, by the way"
  53. "Mhm, be careful there, cya!"
  54.
  55. She was humming 'Nocturne' by Chopin, a personal favorite of hers, as she descended down the apartment's stairs. It was a short walk towards her own apartment since they did basically live nearby each other, but she didn't stop there and opted to go towards the park's direction. Zenisha plopped herself down the bench and grabbed the book she was dying to read inside her bag.
  56.
  57. Another rom-com book. She didn't know why but she was attracted to anything that involved romance. It might be why she was extremely attached to that era she mused.
  58.
  59. "Pardon me, do you mind if I sit beside you?"
  60. "I don't mind," she said without looking away from her book and felt the person's weight on her left side when they sat down.
  61. "I hope that I wasn't interrupting anything." The person chuckled. Zenisha noted that she couldn't determine whether the voice was coming from a male or female.
  62. "You weren't"
  63.
  64. It was peaceful. Once she finished the chapter she was reading, her curiosity was starting to get the better of her. A peek, that was it. She convinced herself that peeking wouldn't hurt anyone.
  65.
  66. Funnily enough, she wasn't expecting the person beside her was the same guy she likes. It took her almost all of her willpower to not make any weird noises or reactions to show her shock. God, she didn't know whether this was a good thing or a bad thing. The good thing about this is that she could potentially learn more about him and maybe even become friends, but on the other hand, this could end up in a total disaster and make her look weird in front of him...which she definitely didn't want?? Before she could do anything, the person made the decision for her.
  67.
  68. "I saw you here the other day."
  69. "Huh?"
  70. "You were writing something on a piece of paper the last time, and it looked like you were concentrating very hard. You didn't even notice me when I asked you if I could sit beside you. Then again, you were wearing earphones, so it makes sense why."
  71.
  72. Shit. Way to go with blowing up your chances and making yourself appear rude, Robbins.
  73.
  74. "Sorry! I was kinda busy making something which is kinda why I unintentionally ignored you... I swear, I'm not always like that! It's just when I start concentrating on something I like or when I get into something, I often don't notice my surroundings. My mom would often lecture me whenever that happens and says that I should pay more attention regardless of what I was doing. Heck, even Al complains about how hard it was to snap me out of it--"
  75.
  76. Great, she was now rambling. God, someone please shoot her now before she dies from embarrassment. Is it possible to die from embarrassment anyways? She might as well be the first to find out.
  77.
  78. "Gah! I'm now just rambling... Sorry, habit of mine. God, this is so embarrassing. You probably find me annoying, right?"
  79.
  80. He chuckled again, making her internally swoon. Zenisha.exe has stopped working. Al was totally gonna rub it on her face that she was right about how easily she falls.
  81.
  82. "Not really? It was pretty cute."
  83.
  84. She was dead. So dead and most likely whipped for this dude.
  85.
  86. "I never got your name, by the way. Mine's Jay, and you?"
  87. "Zenisha, though Al prefers calling me 'Nisha' with how 'long' it was to say or so she says."
  88. "So Nisha,
