Pokémon Crystal Any% Glitchless FAQ

Pokémon Crystal FAQ:
"What are you doing?"
- I'm trying to complete the game as fast as possible without using glitchless!

"Why are you resetting?"
- Resetting after checking Totodile: I'm trying to get a Totodile with runnable stats. This includes at least: 12 Attack, 11 Defence, 10 Special Attack, 11 Special Defense and 9 Speed
- Resetting after releasing the legendary beasts/catching Entei: Entei is a bully and doesn't want to show up, or have poop stats. Entei showing up is supposedly 25%.
- Resetting at any other point: I've lost too much time to be able to PB.

"Why are you naming the character/Pokémon 1 letter?"
- The text in this game is scrolling, so 1 letter is faster.

"What's the video playing in the bottom left/right?"
- That's my current PB playing which I'm racing against!

"Why do you catch Entei?"
- Entei is the fastest option, but also way more inconsistent. You need to encounter it pretty fast, have decent stats and hit with crucial Iron Tails (25% chance to miss)

"How did you catch Entei so early?"
- You only need 3 badges to release the legendary beasts from the Burned Tower in Ecruteak City, and then I used a Master Ball to catch it.

"How did you get the Master Ball?"
- I did a little trick in the beginning called "Lucky ID/LID manip", where the gift Spearow/Kenya has the matching ID as in the Goldenrod Lottery. This manip works for 5 hours if you don't save, and around 24 hours if you save.

"Doesn't that sound like a glitch?"
- Glitches involve doing things in a game you're not supposed to be able to do. There are no glitches involved in doing a manip, we're basically just hitting a certain frame that allows us to get the right ID for the lottery.

"Why did you catch a Poliwag, get the gift Spearow/Kenya and/or the gift Dratini?"
- Poliwag: I catch the Poliwag to use it as HM-slave for Surf, Waterfall and Whirlpool.
- Spearow/Kenya: As stated earlier, Kenya is the one with the Lucky ID to win the Master Ball in the lottery. We also use it as Fly-slave.
- Dratini: I get Dratini if I haven't caught a Poliwag, to use it as Waterfall-slave.

"What are you playing on?"
- The Nintendo Game Boy Player for the Nintendo GameCube, with a Game Boy Advance SP-controller.

"How are you capturing it?"
- My GameCube is hooked up to a Hauppauge HD PVR 2, which is then hooked up to an AVerMedia Live Gamer HD to make sure there's little to no delay on the gameplay.

"What is the best time/world record?"
