  1. from from /hhg/ - Hazbin Hotel General Thread #257 and #397
  2. ---
  3. From the previous thread:
  4.
  5. >I wonder if Hazbin Hell has an Illuminati of sorts.
  6. -
  7. >There are cults in there, so it wouldn't be too surprising.
  8. -
  9. >Bankers
  10. -
  11. >Yeah like I'm wondering if there's this shadow organization that has influence above even the likes of the Overlords and this group is actually the one that makes everything work.
  12. >And maybe they can be the ones that are truly behind the exterminations, instead of the angels.
  13. -
  14. >Damn christkillers
  15. >They're behind it, you know
  16. >I bet the exterminations are just a way to keep the whole house of cards afloat, with overlords acting like simple pawns, whilst Lucifer and Lillith act like King and Queen pawns
  17. -
  18. >That's an interesting idea.
  19. >You know a theme I find a lot with these secret cabal organizations is:
  20.
  21. >"The kings of this World can Rule what they see. But we control WHAT they see."
  22.
  23. >So what if this organization is just manipulating Lucifer, Lilith, and the Overlords into trying to rebel against Heaven, which prompts Exterminations, which in turn prompts rebuilding and new jobs being opened up, which in turn creates more money, which in turn finds its way to this secret organization, which then uses this money to move the pawns across the board and manipulate information.
  24. -
  25. >Almost like the same people that dragged the USA into the middle east for an un ending occupation
  26. >Or tried to false flag an attack on Egypt to drag the western powers into a war
  27. >Or who killed American sailors that would've implicated them in a false flag attack
  28. --
  29. Cont.
  30. -
  31. >If they're down there, they're probably down there as punishment.
  32. >Unlike in real life, they only have the illusion of control.
  33. >They keep themselves in paranoid secrecy - a paranoid, self-sabotaging cabal of otherwise weak individuals who seemingly rely on shadow companies and "use" the turf wars as subterfuge for their operations.
  34. >In reality, everyone just humors them - it's fun to watch the "mighty" squirm and crawl like worms, thinking they'll regain their power.
  35. >In reality, they're just wet work waiting to happen - once one of them steps out of line, entire cells are wiped out.
  36. >They're used by the warlords piggybanks more than anything, as all they do is idiotically sit on the money given to them.
  37. >In the realm of the Lightbringer, the so-called Luminous ones are treated as everyone's bitch - the punch line of humanity's hubris.
  38. -
  39. >I like this idea of "they continue their lives but deep down they know it's hell and can't escape their own nature" option. Deserves more attention.
  40. --
  41. Cont.
  42. -
  43. >Sort of related, we discussed possible relationships between the mortal soul overlords (Al, Vox-level) and the Ars Goetia demons (Stolas-level) a few threads ago.
  44.
  45. >Bottom line was that all the exceptionally powerful mortal soul overlords are essentially puppet rulers for the real deal demons.
  46.
  47. >The idea was that those symbols that float around Alastor are derived from voodoo. In voodoo, you can invoke evil spirits as readily as good ones, many of which are analogs to figures in the various Abrahamic Faith's. Alastor has the kind of power "never harnessed by a mortal soul before" because he cut a deal with one or more Ars Goetia demons; his killing spree wasn't just lunacy, it was a series of assassinations at the behest of some major demon in exchange for being granted greater power when he finally ended up in Hell.
  48.
  49. >The same goes for the other powerful mortals, they may be hot shots among other sinners, but they get all their juice from some demon many orders of magnitude more powerful than they'll ever be. All the turf wars between mortals are actually a proxy war between the great powers of Hell who don't want to deal with the kind of chaos that would result from trying to confront each other directly.
  50. --
  51. >That would be interesting because that implies Al has a boss he has to appease.
  52. >If this theory is true, then that means there's a Goetia demon that has interest in the Hazbin Hotel.
  53. >Honestly it might be Lucifer using his proxy (Al) to keep an eye on his daughter.
  54. ----------------------------------
  55. You know, we talked about the idea of "secret conspirators" winding up in Hell, where they're treated as the underworld's laughing stock, or as the piggybank of overlords, who basically just store their money at them, whilst playing along with their pretenses of controlling everything from the shadows...
  56. You guys ever heard of the Phoebus cartel? It's because of those guys that we have planned obsolescence, and electronics breaking down immediately after the warranty expires.
  57.
  58. If they ended up in Hell, they might have continued their shenanigans there - and since it had become such a commonly accepted thing that machines break down after a certain amount of time, they could probably operate completely undisturbed.
  59. Never stepping on any toes, just quietly increasing their profit margins, as they did back in the 1920s and '30s.

  62. -
  63. Wasn't the joke behind that theory that they have no control, or power, and are just paranoid self-sabotagers that are in essence piggybanks for the overlords?
  64. -
  65. Yeah, but those where the people that tried to control the world, whereas the Phoebus cartel was just a business cartel that limited the lifespan of the products they've sold (namely, lightbulbs), in order to increase their profit margins. Much more subtle, and far less ambitious.
  66. In fact, I'd imagine Hell is full of trusts and cartels, since there's little to no regulation.
  67. -
  68. >Implying they don't get regularly wiped out by any wannabe overlord, rival groups, or just your general sinners deciding to go on a rampage
  69. -
  70. Well, if they've been at it for decades, they may have acquired redundancies over that time, to not loose too much in Hell's extreme environment.
  71. But yeah, since the line between business and organized crime is non-existent. Still, you can't underestimate the virtue of being unseen in plain sight.
  72. -
  73. Except they're... not? Not really at least seeing as how we actually do know about them, but due to legal bullshit can't do a lot about them.
  74.
  75. But now that they're in hell, where both laws and morals have little to no relevance, literally any sinner who feels like fucking their shit up can do so at a whim with none of the repercussions they'd face while alive.
  76.
  77. I mean, sure, they might kill you, but it's a vice-versa situation there, and it's not like there are going to be many, if any at all if no Overlords show up that decided to support them, with the resources needed to make it stick.
  78.
  79. And don't even try and argue that there wouldn't be a shit ton of conspiracy theorists, extremists, and multiple other that'd more than willingly group up just for the sole purpose of fucking these types of groups up.
  80. -
  81. Eh, fair enough.
