  11. Appearance: Oriander is a tall fellow, though his height seemingly changes with his mood, as he twists his body. His physique is quite thin, though toned in muscle, dedicating himself towards the ideals of knighthood. His skin is quite pale, though not white, simply a light tan, and his pointed ears, twist and curl lightly at the ends. His eyes are small, though twinkling in a grassy green. He has a deeply masculine face, and jaw, with an nose, standing out rather large, pointed out as a triangle in the middle of his face. His greatest achievement, but secretly his most worriable quality is a large scar that cuts across his face, digging deep into his left eye, blinding him in it, and clouding it white. The scar is darker than the rest of his skin in a deep fissure. He has long, flowing golden hair, that he commonly braids into a ponytail behind him, locked into complex knots that appear as flowers.

  33. <Background>
  34.
  35. Oriander's family was a minor noble family in Eris generations ago. However, after political unrest, and attacks from banditry they decides to sell their wares, and detach from their country. They traveled south and eventually settled in the northern reaches of Almura, purchasing a large amount of land within a small, fertile, river valley, and created a small town for themselves. They created a constitution, naming their family rulers over the city, with the consent of their local Baron. Over the next two generations, the town grew into a prosperous farming town, ruled over by the gracious Menschvelle family.
  36. After Oriander was born, he was raised to eventually rule the city, just as his father before him, but his mother died in childbirth, leaving him their only heir. However he'd be a disappointment in that, as he was never interested in women, having a small affair with a local baker, causing his arranged bride to be to run away when he was 18. His parents bickered over it, but ultimately let him be, knowing full well lineage wasn't all that mattered.
  37. However, over the years, he noticed the town change. Much of the people were moving in, merchants setting up shop, and taking a lot of the economic and political flow of the city. As more Erish moved in, following the Menschvelle family, the local people grew paranoid.
  38. Eventually, after the local Baron died, the Menscvelle family was found by the Duchy to be the closest fit. However, this caused a revolt from the peasants, fueled by the propaganda of the traders who wished to seize the power within the city. They stormed their house. Oriander took arms with his father to protect themselves, but he was eventually forced to leave. His mother lied dead on the floor, as his father took their time...
  39. Oriander left, with just the armor on his back, the swords at his side, the family horse, and rode off to find his destiny and regain his family's honor on the corpses of his mother and father.
