  1. Sergeant Azumi Emily Ian.
  2.
  3.
  4. Action Girl
  5.
  6. Ain't Too Proud To Beg: Type 2 when her Morality Pets are threatened.
  7.
  8. Always Second Best: To Kynthia, Greg's dead girlfriend, except in strategy. Though she hates her, she's somewhat beyond it.
  9.
  10. Anti Hero: How bad it is depends on the situation and her anger level.
  11. - Knight In Sour Armor: Comes with being a soldier.
  12. - Pragmatic Hero: Often, again with being a soldier.
  13.
  14. The Apprentice: To Bruce "Batman" Wayne of the DC Animated Universe.
  15.
  16. Appropriated Appellation: Was given the title of Huntress from a dying simulation of Ra's al-Ghul. Also "the Wraith", given by the insane cultists of Fairport.
  17.
  18. Arch Enemy: Yuki "Rikka" Masami, though the feeling has only become mutual recently. Also a Friendly Enemy in some very minor degrees on some cases.
  19.
  20. Asskicking Equals Authority: How she initially rose in the ranks to Lance Corporal, and technically how she rose to Sergeant.
  21.
  22. Bad Dreams: Does have them, most often about the Collective, the Flood, and/or glassing, with more facets with different experiences. Though not every night, frequently.
  23.
  24. Badass: Time will tell if this gets across, but she's meant to be a deconstruction of the concept. Yes, she can do a lot of things that are cool, and are usually in the realm of things a normal person could do. However, you do not want to go through the pain she went through to get there. Respect, yes. Wanting to emulate, no.
  25. - Badass Creed: "Jump feet first into hell." Also variations on the same, such as simply "feet first," which is a borderline Catch Phrase.
  26. - Badass In Distress: Her time with the Collective counts. Less her time with the Mirror Jess, since she wasn't really sane enough to be considered "badass".
  27. - Badass In Charge: Of the Crimson Dawn.
  28. - Badass Normal: Reconstructed and self-enforced. She begins as incapable of holding her own against villainous Interferences, but has imposed self-induced Training From Hell both to herself and from others in order to be able to still fight. The self-enforcement comes when she wants to prove she doesn't need powers.
  29. - Heartbroken Badass: Though she's getting over it.
  30. - Submissive Badass: To Rikka.
  31.
  32. Baddie Flattery: Recipient from Rikka and the Mirror!Jessica on account of her looks, along with some other members of the Collective, to her annoyance.
  33.
  34. Beauty Is Never Tarnished: Averted. Azumi does get severe head trauma at one point, messing up her face. Potions do fix it, however, and she is still deemed attractive by people because of it.
  35.
  36. Being Good Sucks: Oh yeah, definitely. Depending on the situation and which villains are involved, sometimes dips into No Good Deed Goes Unpunished.
  37.
  38. Berserk Button: Do not endanger Greg Zivaku or his family, or her crew. Also, do not imply or state that she is weak willed. Just...don't. People who do don't end out well.
  39.
  40. Bi The Way: Is attracted to both genders (leaning toward heterosexual), but is reluctant to engage in "fraternization."
  41.
  42. Big Good: Granted, the Crimson Dawn operates on a Gray morality, but she is one of, if not the leader of the group, and her methods are decidedly more in the way of "good" than "evil".
  43.
  44. Bottomless Magazines: Averted. Azumi reloads or checks her ammunition whenever she has a spare moment, or if she can get behind cover to do so.
  45.
  46. Boyish Short Hair: Often, though she isn't above showing a feminine side. She just prefers to show herself as capable of things beyond a stereotype.
  47.
  48. Brain Computer Interface: Her standard-issue UNSCDF neural interface is implanted to the back of her head, giving both identification and VISR capabilities.
  49. - Aura Vision: Her Visual Intelligence System, Reconnaissance (VISR) acts this way, giving a red outline around enemies; a green around allies; an orange around scenery, neutral targets, and invisible enemies; yellow around objectives; and blue around unmanned weapons. It is standard issue for ODSTs, and technological, not magical.
  50. - Cyborg: Due to this implant, she's technically not fully normal, but the Neural Interface is a standard addition to any UNSC personnel.
  51. - Enemy Detecting Radar: Detects enemies by way of checking for ally-related Identity Friend/Foe tags.
  52. - Night Vision Goggles: VISR operates like this, along with other functions. As with most nightvision, it is detrimental in strong light.
  53. - Neural Implanting: Her interface can store data, as well as, due to a mistake from Merlin, a full AI, similar to a Spartan neural interface.
  54. - See The Invisible: The technologically invisible, when using VISR.
  55.
  56. Broken Bird: From her homeless, family-less nature to what she saw in the Human-Covenant War to her frequent humiliation, she has been turned to this out of necessity.
  57.
  58. Brown Eyes: Usually levelheaded in charge, though it does sometimes subvert, as she does have her Berserk Buttons.
  59.
  60. Cannot Spit It Out: To Greg about her feelings until it was too late, why she does not want others to make the same mistake.
  61.
  62. Canon Immigrant: Of a sort. Originally just a member of Greg's squad, she was applied for in its entirety eventually.
  63.
  64. The Chains of Commanding: Really feels these as the leader of the Crimson Dawn.
  65.
  66. Clothing Damage: Non-fanservice in that her armor is sometimes torn up in battle, but with blood showing as well.
  67.
  68. Combat Tropes
  69.
  70. - Abnormal Ammo: At times, some of her weapons have this on alternative fire modes. This is especially prominent with the Mutator, which fires either viral blasts, or other related unusual types of ammunition, such as globs of napalm or nitrogen rounds for burning or freezing targets.
  71.
  72. - Arm Cannon: Of the removable type.
  73. -- Nothing Up My Sleeve: As of "Ashes of Arkham", keeps one of the sets of Floyd "Deadshot" Lawton's wrist mounted silenced guns on one arm or two, usually armed with nonlethal rounds. These are usually hidden under her sleeves, and are unknown to most if not all villains. She also receives an Omni-Bow for her Wraith persona, which functions similarly.
  74.
  75. - Armor Is Useless: Subverted somewhat, in that the armor does deflect certain blows, but she can still take damage about as easily as anyone else. Also, she always looks for ways to upgrade her armor, and adapts it to different variants (Sharpshooter, Close Quarters Combat, Recon) for what missions are needed.
  76. -- Bulletproof Vest: A function of her armor. Its better shielding is only available in certain cases, since she changes sets depending on her situation between what is good for closer combat, sniping, stealth, or general operations.
  77.
  78. - Bare-Fisted Monk: Proficient in hand-to-hand combat. Was the best on her fireteam at it, but that doesn't necessarily mean she's up to par with Interferences. As of her extensive training with Batman, however, she probably is better than many Interferences at it.
  79.
  80. - Combat Pragmatist
  81.
  82. - Consummate Professional: Though a benevolent version, and willing to shift from a job to something else important if she knows someone else is able to cover for her, she will try her absolute hardest to complete whatever mission is ahead of her, especially for military or espionage actions. Comes from her military training.
  83.
  84. - Cool Helmet: Her ODST helmet (and her later upgrade to the Air Assault helmet) and her Wraith helmet, with the abilities for the former type listed below.
  85. -- Collapsible Helmet: In Space Paranoids after "The Game Has Changed", a'la TRON: Legacy and TRON: Evolution, the latter of which has some tech usable. Also, in a variation, she can control the opacity of her normal helmet through her neural uplink to make her face visible or invisible behind a mirrored lens. The Wraith helmet also can collapse akin to the TRON version.
  86. -- Comm Links: Her VISR-connected radio connection, which can be augmented if she has Kira inside her helmet. Also, her Bat-Family comm unit, which she has tucked inside the helmet for easy use.
  87. -- Helmets Are Hardly Heroic: Averted. If she is ever in combat, Azumi will make sure she has her helmet on if possible.
  88. -- Helmet Mounted Sight: When opaque. Displaying a compass, any objective markers she had put, ammunition numbers, grenade counts, weapons she has on her, an armor integrity bar (health), zoom function up to two times normal, and a targeting reticule. It also links up to any "smart linked" weapon scopes.
  89. -- In Space Everyone Can See Your Face: Can depolarize her armor's visor for communication, but polarizes it for combat. See One Way Visor.
  90. -- Infrared X-Ray Camera: Her upgraded VISR for her Wraith suit has it, albeit more realistically than some, since it's harder to get a good feed on their heat signature through walls. Still can see increased heart rate and falling heart rates, though.
  91. -- One Way Visor: When in combat, polarizes her visor so as to allow her weapon HUD and targeting reticle up. Can depolarize, though. See In Space Everyone Can See Your Face.
  92. -- Tracking Device: Integrated to the helmet, this allows for allies to track her, though enemies may be able to lock on to it at times.
  93.
  94. - Cool Sword: The high-frequency wakizashi, which vibrates at very high speeds to cut through most materials, has a side of it to use for nonlethal combat, and has an electrical generator inside for select amounts of pulses.
  95. -- Static Stun Gun: The sword has a battery in it that can be used to electrocute people, whether to stun them, knock them out, or disable robotic enemies.
  96. -- Vibroweapon: It vibrates at a very high frequency, rather than act as an Absurdly Sharp Blade.
  97.
  98. - Genius Bruiser: Not quite a genius, but a combat-oriented version of The Strategist might fit.
  99.
  100. - Girls With Guns
  101.
  102. - Hollywood Silencer: On her M6C/SOCOM "Automag" pistol and M7S Submachine Gun.
  103.
  104. - Improvised Weapon User: Will use anything she can get her hands on. Including a Potion bottle once.
  105.
  106. - Kinetic Weapons Are Just Better: Subverted. She doesn't only use kinetic weapons by any standpoint, but just has a preference for them out of familiarity.
  107.
  108. - Knighting: Done by Rikka when she became her priestess.
  109.
  110. - Laser Sight: Utilizes this on her guns when possible.
  111.
  112. - Leonine Contract: Her contract with the Collective, which is sided almost entirely in their, or at least Rikka and Dani's, favor, so long as they don't harm her, members of the Zivaku family, or their romantic partners.
  113.
  114. - Luckily My Shield Will Protect Me: Her Kig-yar point defense gauntlet projects a shield that is invulnerable to kinetic weapons, though it can be knocked away, and plasma, fire, and photokinesis to take it down for a time.
  115.
  116. - Machete Mayhem: Her newer Jiralhanae combat knife is more of a serrated, curved version of this than a knife for a human.
  117. -- Serrated Blade Of Pain
  118.
  119. - Magic Tool: Not actually magic (hence the "Normal"), but she has an omni-tool from Mass Effect. Said omni-tool is not implanted inside the body like most of them, but has been implanted into her Wraith armor for use. She only has one combat application, the rest being just the standard issue secondary uses. While it can be used to make repairs, she tends toward just making them manually.
  120. -- Blade Below The Shoulder: Her "Shock Blade" is an electrical prod that can be fabricated from the omni-tool holographically, and used to electrocute someone, most likely non-fatally if organic, but disabling if robotic.
  121. --- Hot Blade: The "omni-blades" are silicon-carbide weapons that are flash-forged from the mini fabricator in the tool, creating a transparent, nearly diamond-hard blade that is searing-hot.
  122. -- Everything Sensor: One of the functions is as a scanner that seems to be able to interface with anything mechanical, though it may not find them easy to use for the user of the omni-tool.
  123. -- Tricked Out Gloves: Rather than implant the device directly, Azumi has her omni-tools built into her gloves on her Wraith armor. This means that she has to rely on her VISR if in just her civilian attire.
  124.
  125. - Martial Medic: Though not to the degree of an expert, she has some degree of medical training, including some drugs and bonesetting.
  126.
  127. - More Dakka: Is a fan, though she realizes the issues with a stationary turret, and so usually relies on her M7S.
  128.
  129. - The Musketeer: In a sense. She prefers guns, but is learning her way at close combat. She is very good with unarmed combat, and has both a machete and a combat knife.
  130.
  131. - Royal Rapier: Her Lightsworn Sabre that she receives for her work under Rikka.
  132. -- Laser Blade: A variant, in that it is glowing, and deals light based damage (except to Rikka).
  133.
  134. - Standard FPS Guns
  135. -- Handguns: The M6C/SOCOM "Automag" handgun.
  136. -- Knife Nut: Has her UNSC issue combat knife for close combat aside from her unarmed skill, though it isn't too effective except in the case of assassinations or some Heartless.
  137. --- Reverse Grip: Her general way of holding it.
  138. -- Sniper Rifle: Her Dead Space universe Seeker Rifle, which she also uses for shotgun breaching.
  139. -- Throw Down The Bomblet: Uses a variety of grenades, generally sticking to standard fragmentation grenades.
  140.
  141. - The Strategist: When she's in charge of a squad, she's pretty good at it in most cases.
  142.
  143. - Super Wrist Gadget: Aside from her omni-tool listed under Magic Tool, her normal armor has a UNSC TACPAD on it, allowing for communication and battle data.
  144.
  145. - Try To Catch Me Fighting Dirty
  146.
  147. - We Will Wear Armor In The Future: From a Marine Corps in the early to mid 26th century, and still wears body armor.
  148.
  149. - Your Eyes Can Deceive You: Learns this as a part of her training with Batman so as to be able to still fight if she is blinded mid-VISR use.
  150.
  151. The Cowl: Growing into the role. See Terror Hero.
  152.
  153. Crazy Awesome: It takes a special kind of crazy to be an ODST. For example, she skyjacked (hijacked in midair) a flying plane going for a bombing run after jumping off of an ATV with no driver moving at a speed of around eighty miles per hour.
  154.
  155. Crazy Prepared: Not nearly to the extent of her mentor, but she has to be some degree of this in order to survive the worlds at large with no powers whatsoever.
  156.
  157. Dark Is Not Evil: Keeps to the shadows as much as she can and wears dark armor, but is definitely a good person.
  158.
  159. Deadpan Snarker
  160. - Stepford Snarker: What you get when you mix a Broken Bird and a Deadpan Snarker.
  161. - Servile Snarker: Really takes after A.L.F.R.E.D. once she gives in to Rikka, giving many a Stealth Insult. Well, as much as she can without being reprimanded.
  162.
  163. Deal With The Devil: First with Mirror!Jessica to protect Greg and Kynthia until the mirror version died, then set to be with Rikka and the Collective at the expense of personal pride.
  164.
  165. Death Seeker: Has shades of this. While she is reasonable and does try her absolute best at everything, she still truly does not care if she dies as long as the people she cares for will be looked after, seeing as her family is dead and she is legally dead.
  166.
  167. Did You Just Flip Off Cthulhu: Her insults to the various Collective members seems to fit into this scheme.
  168.
  169. Doomed Hometown: Or rather, homeworld. Her planet, Jericho VII, was glassed (rendered uninhabitable) in the years that she traveled through.
  170.
  171. Drink Order: Takes the strongest thing in the house when she goes drinking, which isn't often.
  172.
  173. Dye or Die: Kind of. She dyed her hair with bleach in order to make her way into the military at a young age.
  174. - Fiery Redhead: Zigzagged. She is only angry because she forces herself to be as such to hide her emotional instability. However, because she does so in so many situations, she does become angry, partly as a result of said training.
  175. - Redheaded Hero(ine): Her hair is orange due to bleach, fitting her under this, but with blonde as well.
  176.
  177. Embarrassing Middle Name: Sort of. Dani calling her "Emily" tends to annoy her.
  178.
  179. Emotions vs Stoicism: Wavers a lot.
  180.
  181. Fantastic Racism: Of a sort. She hates SPARTAN IIs for a different reason than many other ODSTs, but if she could find out that they aren't completely emotionless and do actually care about people she would likely change her opinion.
  182.
  183. Fatal Flaw: Azumi will do whatever it takes to protect the Zivaku family and her team. This tends to get her into worse situations than she normally would be in.
  184.
  185. Fear Leads To Anger: She has admitted that she is afraid of Dani and Rikka, and also shows extreme hatred toward them, so this is likely implied.
  186.
  187. The Fettered: If she's going to do something, she will work as hard as she can to keep her team or the Zivaku family from harm at any expense. Batman also forced his Thou Shalt Not Kill on her, though it's less imposed, and she works around it when possible.
  188.
  189. Field Promotion / You Are In Command Now: How she rose from Lance Corporal to Corporal, taking Greg's position.
  190.
  191. Genre Savvy: Does know a lot about how a villain would or would not act based on fiction and research, though she doesn't really know Batman comics personally due to them possibly not existing in her time, and if they did, she didn't bother with them. Also has enough basic intelligence to be a fairly successful black operations soldier.
  192.
  193. Go-Go Enslavement: Her catsuit she is given by Mirror!Jessica fits the bill. Her maid uniform to come is a minor example of this.
  194.
  195. Gone to the Future: Was caught in a temporal ripple in the year 2531 (Halo Wars) whilst in Human Popsicle storage, sending her to Radiant Garden while her universe moved forward to the year 2552 (Halo 2 and more recently Halo 3: ODST).
  196.
  197. Good Is Not Nice/Good Is Not Soft: She can be outright rude to authority at times, and anyone who pushes her Berserk Buttons could be subject to at least an attempt at beating them up.
  198.
  199. Green Eyed Monster: Admits that she is jealous of Kynthia for having Greg's love, but doesn't push it, only trying to make sure she doesn't break his heart again. Sort of justified, seeing as she is Always Second Best to Kynthia in Greg's eyes, and he talked about her very often.
  200.
  201. Grey DeLisle: When she's trying to manipulate someone (such as the Mirror Jessica using her own looks), she takes on her Arkamverse!Catwoman voice. However, she almost never does so.
  202.
  203. Guilt Complex: If anything goes wrong on a mission that isn't deliberately the fault of a third party except for the death of a teammate, she automatically puts all blame on herself. She also takes the fall for anyone else in terms of punishment as much as possible.
  204.
  205. Gun Stripping: A habit when she gets anxious. Given she's a soldier, she kind of has to know her way around a gun aside from just how to shoot.
  206.
  207. Hammerspace: Her rucksack on her back has it due to Merlin, to justify how she is able to carry so much equipment as a kind of Bag of Holding. That said, her weapons do not fit this, making it not a Hyperspace Arsenal.
  208.
  209. Heroic Vow: She will never abandon her team or Greg's family (that including the men's girlfriends). This has proven to be more trouble than its really worth, but the fact that she still sticks to it does place her as some form of martyr.
  210.
  211. Heroic Willpower: The only reason she managed to escape her hypnosis by Dani, though it did take a long time, and left her with lasting psychological scars, including her case of I Kiss Your Foot. Aside from that, she has no magical resistance whatsoever.
  212.
  213. Human Popsicle: How she traveled around in slipspace before Interfering, and also how she made her way to Radiant Garden. She had freezer burn as a result of wearing clothes in there, a kind of in-universe version of Cryonics Failure.
  214.
  215. Hurting Heroine: See Broken Bird.
  216.
  217. I Want My Beloved To Be Happy: Well, a crush. She admits she's jealous of Kynthia, and hates some of how she acts toward him, thinking he deserves better, but she lets him live through it because it's what he wants.
  218.
  219. I Will Punish Your Friend For Your Failure: Pretty much the terms she's under when she's forced to work for someone, mostly Greg and/or Kynthia. More prominent with the alliance with the Collective, though.
  220.
  221. Incompatible Orientation: Given her CO was completely Kynthiasexual. Also her (self-hated) crush on the asexual Rikka.
  222.
  223. Indifferent Beauty: Not completely indifferent, but she does get annoyed at men hitting on her more often than not. Women, on the other hand, fluster her more, not being what she's used to.
  224.
  225. Infinite Flashlight: On her M6C/SOCOM and M7S, as well as a function of her omni-tool if she doesn't have those.
  226.
  227. Iron Woobie: See Broken Bird.
  228.
  229. Irrational Hatred: Of Jessica Mireu. Not entirely irrational, considering the face, voice, clothing, and weapon are the same as the woman who tortured her near insanity with water boarding, but definitely out of proportion. Measures are being established to fix this in the future.
  230.
  231. It Gets Easier: Giving herself up, though she hates herself for it.
  232.
  233. Jack Bauer Interrogation Technique: Sometimes applies this to get quicker information, but has no reservations about calling it what it really is. That, and she normally uses it to keep someone from talking, since she knows that torture does not always work.
  234.
  235. Jack-Of-All-Stats: Had no particular specialty among her fireteam aside from perhaps strategy.
  236.
  237. Jerk With A Heart Of Gold: How some might view her. She's more of a "professional who doesn't want to have unnecessary setbacks" than a jerk, though. She's just hard about it.
  238.
  239. Jerkass Façade
  240.
  241. Just Friends: Unfortunately with Greg. She's aware that it's one-sided, but it doesn't really hurt less.
  242.
  243. Knight In Sour Armor
  244.
  245. Know When To Fold Em: While a Determinator, she will consider trying to escape a conflict if it is impossible to find any benefit in continuing.
  246.
  247. Le Parkour: Proficient after her time in the New City of Mirror's Edge, and able to fit it into her combat style when necessary, though she doesn't do so often.
  248.
  249. The Leader: When she has control of a squad (especially the Crimson Dawn, she is a Type II with some very thin shades of the anger of a Type III.
  250.
  251. Limited Waredrobe: Averted, a rarity in the forum. She regularly changes between her armor, a casual outfit, her maid uniform, or a modified Assassin-esque outfit, in addition to her Wraith armor.
  252.
  253. Living With The Villain: A variation, in that both of them know exactly who each other is, but Rikka does not know about Azumi's "Wraith" activities. And, after a fashion, neither does Azumi.
  254.
  255. Love Is A Weakness: Not exactly, but her philosophy for herself is based on this. She doesn't impose it on others, but tries to avoid romantic attachment for this reason. It kind of fits into a Paralyzing Fear of Sexuality, though not overtly.
  256.
  257. Made a Slave: Briefly to Mirror!Jessica as part of a Deal With The Devil. Technically, her "employment" to Rikka counts as well.
  258.
  259. Maid: Her position for Rikka in the Collective, complete with an embarrassing uniform that gives no armor protection and no weapons.
  260. - Color Coded For Your Convenience: In the colors of Dani (navy and silver) and Rikka (gold and white), showing her employment by them both.
  261. - French Maid Uniform: To a degree.
  262. - Hair Decorations: Has on a bow in her hair.
  263. - Ninja Maid: Due to her training, though she doesn't act it when in uniform that often.
  264. - Of Corsets Sexy: Against her will when in her uniform as Rikka's maid.
  265. - She Cleans Up Nicely: Whether she wants to or not.
  266. - Silk Hiding Steel: Forces this façade to keep on Rikka's good side.
  267. - Stocking Filler: Silver nylons.
  268.
  269. Military and Warfare Tropes
  270. - A Father To His Men: Or rather, A Mother To Her Men. Once someone's in her squad, she WILL fight as hard as she can to keep them all alive. She's a tough mother to them, but one none-the-less.
  271. - Drill Sergeant Nasty: Only when she is trying to hide how she feels about something, or when she is extremely angry. More often the former, as she tries to keep her true emotions in check.
  272. - Drop Pod: Went down in one as part of her job description, the Single Occupant Exoatmospheric Insertion Vehicle (SOEIV).
  273. - Easy Logistics: Averted as far as is needed. Many Interferences don't eat, so food is a nonissue, but extensive effort is made to make plans work out correctly when she is in command of a unit of Interferences.
  274. - Elites Are More Glamorous: Played with. Although she is an ODST, the actual experience of being one was far from glamorous.
  275. - Elite Army: A member of two of these at the same time. Mostly an ODST, but the Crimson Dawn sort of count in a sense.
  276. - Good Looking Privates: Explicitly stated as attractive, and has certain physical traits of Selina Kyle of the Arkhamverse (mainly the hindquarters).
  277. - It's Raining Men: From orbit, as part of her job description.
  278. - Mildly Military: Generally won't tell someone not to call her by a rank, but usually has no problem with it being given. That said, she's not afraid to pull rank when necessary.
  279. - Military Maverick: If she does not believe in a mission, she will not follow it or will change it to something more beneficial.
  280. - Military Superheroine: As of her training with Batman.
  281. - Nom de Guerre: Hotel Kilo Two, formerly simply Kilo Two. Means "HK-2" in the Military Alphabet. Signifies her Red Baron name (Huntress) and her old unit (Fireteam Kilo). Also functions as a Code Name.
  282. - Semper Fi: Though she doesn't flaunt it everywhere, only where she can actually make her rank mean something. In most cases, saying she's from the Marines is to give a slight bit of background only. Also counts as a Space Marine, due to the nature of the UNSC Defense Force.
  283. - Sergeant Rock: She may shout and have harsh discipline, but will not ask anyone to do something she does not know if she can do herself. If only that person is shown to be capable, she will rely on their expertise, only being angry for explicit disregard of orders.
  284. - Sergeant Rough And Captain Smooth: Inverted to a degree. She's a Sergeant Rough, but Zero, the Captain Smooth, is lower ranked on some things.
  285. - War Is Hell: Firm believer.
  286.
  287. Morality Pet/Protectorate: Her team and the Zivaku family.
  288.
  289. Ninja: More or less. Spec Ops teams like the ODSTs are pretty much modern day ninja, with those being futuristic ninja. Gained even more ninja-like nature in "Shadow of the Bat." And then there's the point when she becomes the leader of a sect of ninja-esque stealth operatives in a multiversal spy network.
  290.
  291. Not Wearing Tights: Says as much to Batman during their training. Unfortunately, M. Jess thinks otherwise later (see Spy Catsuit).
  292.
  293. One Of The Boys: To the point where she takes it as a compliment when someone calls her a man, though she also calls being feminine some degree of a compliment.
  294.
  295. Only Sane Woman: Granted, one of many of this type, but she fully grasps just how bizarre what they go through is, seeing as she does not personally engage in the magic of it all herself. Cheryl is close, but she bluntly talks about biologically impossible processes. Also ironic, considering her Sanity Slippage.
  296.
  297. Orphan's Ordeal: Rather late in her life, yes, but she did run away from home at the age of sixteen. She tries to cope with the probability of her parents' loss by shoving herself into her work and dedicating her life to continuing to protect those close to her, even at the sacrifice of parts of herself.
  298.
  299. Parental Surrogate: Bruce "Batman" Wayne of the DCAU to her.
  300.
  301. Passive Aggressive Kombat: Post-Siren's Call encounters with Rikka Masami tend to go down this route, at least initially.
  302.
  303. Pride: Has a little bit of a problem with this, though not nearly as much as her archenemy, and can swallow it.
  304.
  305. Properly Paranoid: Assumes anyone can be a threat, which has admittedly only caused her any real trouble once, and even then was not too big of a deal.
  306.
  307. Real Women Don't Wear Dresses: Invoked. This is why she doesn't wear one (except when forced by Rikka), but she doesn't hold anything against those who do. It's just preference on her part.
  308.
  309. Really Seventeen Years Old: Sixteen when she joined the UNSCDF, but lied about her age as eighteen.
  310.
  311. Reasonable Authority Figure: Seems to be growing into one in terms of when she has leadership.
  312.
  313. Red Baron: Huntress, as given by a simulation of Ra's al-Ghul as a Legacy Character, though not a Sidekick. Also the Wraith, as given by the residents of Fairport.
  314.
  315. Red Oni: To Zero and Batman's Blue Oni. Not to the point of distraction, but can be irritated more easily.
  316.
  317. Reluctant Fanservice Girl: Not played for laughs at all.
  318.
  319. The Resenter: See Green Eyed Monster.
  320.
  321. Returning War Vet: Replace "returning" (seeing as the war is still going on) with "gone Interfering".
  322.
  323. Revenge: Her overall goal with regards to the Collective, against primarily both Rikka, who has lain "claim" to her as a maid since their first meeting; and Dani, who hypnotized and humiliated her along with Rikka.
  324.
  325. Rule of Seven: Sees a lot of things in sevens. Blame Bungie (and Stosh).
  326.
  327. The Runaway: Azumi at a young age. She never forgave herself after hearing that her world was glassed.
  328.
  329. Sacrificed Basic Skill for Awesome Training: A pretty bad cook, though not to Lethal Chef standards and definitely remediable.
  330.
  331. Samus Is A Girl: This revelation has been reached several times by various characters. She actually tries to make this effect through the use of little speech during interrogations so that she can catch people off-guard later.
  332.
  333. Sanity Slippage: Interfering has not been nice to her. Mind Rape tends to do that.
  334. - Madness Mantra: At times of stress after Fairport was escaped, she delves into repetitions of "Instinct, training, discipline, control."
  335. - Mind Rape: Suffers it at the hands of her post-traumatic stress disorder, her time in Fairport, and her time in the hands of the Collective. Due to her fragile mental state, she is easier to crack psychologically than the average UNSC officer.
  336. - Split Personality: Two aside from her normal one.
  337. -- Helpless Good Side: "Zumi", a split personality developed after her torture at the hands of the Mirror!Jessica, and a take on the Embarrassing Nickname that the torturer had given her. If she's choked with water or otherwise asphyxiated for a lengthy time, she becomes completely subservient and will do anything to stop the pain.
  338. -- Unscrupulous Heroine: "Wraith" once it dissociates, working against villains, but far more brutal than Azumi usually is.
  339.
  340. Screw The Rules, I'm Doing What's Right: The reason she sometimes disregards orders from superiors.
  341.
  342. Secret Identity: "The Wraith", which also qualifies as a Red Baron.
  343.
  344. Secret Keeper: For Batman's identity as Bruce Wayne. Highly debatable, since most Externals would know, and the few Internals who would still wouldn't really care one way or the other (except Scarecrow). Only really notable for her among Interferences because she calls him "Bruce" to his face, albeit in relative privacy.
  345.
  346. Shell Shocked Veteran: Only really comes to the forefront when faced with the Flood or glassing, but there none-the-less.
  347.
  348. The Spymaster: Of a sort to the Crimson Dawn.
  349.
  350. Spy Catsuit: Her dark blue and black catsuit with a matching headband with leopard ears given by Mirror!Jess, by which she was not amused.
  351. - Absolute Cleavage: The zipper on it doesn't go up past about halfway up the front, resulting in this.
  352. - Animal-Eared Headband: Of a cat.
  353. - Dark Is Evil: Implied by it and how it's coloration is the same as the person who gave it's outfit, but still subverted.
  354. - Sensual Spandex: Or rather latex.
  355. - Vapor Wear: Due to being barely able to fit in it, she can't fit anything under it in terms of clothing.
  356. - Victoria's Secret Compartment: Where she was allowed to keep her gear, including weapons.
  357.
  358. The Squadette: In Fireteam Kilo.
  359.
  360. The Team Normal: In most if not all of her Interference teams if she has them.
  361.
  362. Technical Pacifist: Forced to a Thou Shalt Not Kill mentality by Batman, but is not above Loophole Abuse, shooting someone and having them Left For Dead, giving a wound that won't kill immediately, or implying to others that she would like them to do the deed instead. Also, this only applies to humans. Nonhumans are fair game.
  363.
  364. Terms of Endangerment: Subverted with being called "my dear Azumi" by Rikka. She doesn't actually mean her any harm as long as she does as she's told. Played straight with "Zumi" from Mirror!Jess.
  365.
  366. Terror Heroine: Type 3, as a result of her different types of training. Has been trained as something of a Type 1, however, though not as much as a Type 3. Also a Type 5 of sorts in Nirn only due to Zero helping spread her reputation for two hundred years, though it's not very overt.
  367.
  368. Tranquil Fury: When Azumi is angry, she will start by making annoyed comments, then start shouting... then stop shouting entirely, at which point she is most dangerous.
  369.
  370. Trauma Conga Line: With a few rare exceptions, Interfering has not been a pleasant experience for her.
  371.
  372. Tsundere: Type A, only going deredere sometimes around Greg or occasionally around Batman if he can break her down. Rikka also has seen this side of her a few times.
  373.
  374. Two Aliases, One Character: Actually, four aliases. She uses "Lightsworn" for her dealings for Rikka, "Huntress" or "Hunter" for her Crimson Dawn work and closer Batman work, "Kilo Two" or "Hotel Kilo Two" for her military operations, and "Wraith" for private manipulation and stealth operations for herself.
  375.
  376. Unknown Rival: Sort of with Rikka initially, until she beat her subversively in combat.
  377.
  378. Unphased Everywoman: Well, not exactly an everywoman, but a non-powered Interference who just tends to roll with the weird.
  379.
  380. Villainous Crush: Inverted with Rikka, who she does find attractive, but hates and is...rather unwilling to say as much to.
  381.
  382. Vitriolic Best Buds: Sort of a Type 2 with K1-R4 when they partner up. She generally loses snarking contests to the AI, though.
  383.
  384. Warrior Therapist: With growing prominence.
  385.
  386. What Measure Is A Non-Human?: Played with. She doesn't believe in this philosophy in and of itself, and will defend anyone who truly deserves it, human or not. However, she does use it as a justification to give her times when she is still allowed to kill while following Batman's orders.
  387.
  388. Why Did It Have To Be Snakes?: Asphyxiation, mostly water boarding or otherwise drowning. Justified by her Cold Blooded Torture.
  389.
  390. With Due Respect: On occasion, though if she is going to disregard orders, she generally does not say so.
  391.
  392. Would Not Shoot A Civilian: Usually. She only attacks any civilian in self-defense, except when under extreme stress.
