What A Pain

“We have you surrounded!” Jack saw the Panam Resistance move to him, armed to the teeth with their weapons pointed at him. They gave their usual one-liner. “If we burn, you burn with us!” And with that, they unloaded every bullet onto him. Only… the bullets stopped in mid air and dropped, as if grabbed by something.

“W-what the!?” One of them said.

“Nice try.” Jack wagged his finger.

“What are you!?” They asked.

“I’m a man with a demon.” Jack gave his sinister smirk.

“A… You’re a Devil!?” One of them struggled to pull a card from their pocket. Many people wondered where this ‘demon’ is.
“You could say that, yes.” Jack walked closer to them. A man held a card in front of him.

“G-guys! If he’s a Devil, the card would have shown SOMETHING by now! This man’s not a devil!” While he was disconfirming their fears, he still sounded scared. Jack could hear them chat about what he is and how he is able to stop the bullets.

“Wow, you travel the multiverse and yet you don’t know about my powers?” Jack laughed before he coughed. “What a pain.” He spoke in a gruff voice that’s not his own. He pointed to their leader. “I’ll be the judge of you now.” He glared. Before the man had any time to react, he was suddenly pummelled by invisible air all while he kept on chanting one single phrase:

“ORAORAORAOROAORAOROAORAOROAROAORAORAOROA ORRRRRAAAAA!”
