  1. I am unable to comment on how the late Sergeant Tancred knew what was happening, but I can give an accurate recollection of the events that transpired.
  2.
  3. The Sergeant ordered all available, able adventurers to meet up outside the militia offices. From here, the large group of us delved into the sewers, making our way to the Effluvial Lake. It was here that we discovered a portal, that had been opened by the gang known as the Trouble Makers. We were able to determine that the portal was being held open by two sacrifices, that of the assumed gang leader Willsep, and Pard. They appeared to have been sacrifice by Sejuth, self proclaimed Prophet of the Creator.

  5. While the magically inclined adventures attempted to identify the nature of the portal, and determine a method to close it, we were attacked by various monstrosities that poured fourth from the portal. The remaining Trouble Makers, joined by Trick, the Halfling Mage, used this opportunity to attack the group. Over the course of a long fight, we were able to slay the remaining Troublemakers known as Sejuth, Rafaka and Suktu. Once all threats had been eliminated, we were able to determine that to close the portal, some would have to enter it and close it from the inside, meaning that those who entered would likely not return. A small group of 5 brave men volunteered to enter, those men were Sergeant Tancred Hartwall, Nathan Hunter of House Tammarast, Nikolai Stanek of the Purple Dragons, and the Aberrant Hunter, Aylen Ethyyr. They ventured into the infernal portal - knowing well they would not return. Through their valiant sacrifices, the portal was closed, and Arabel has been kept safe.

  7. We still believe that there is a threat remaining in the sewers, and once we are more organised, we will form a plan to identify the threat and quell it. As for now, acting in the late Sergeants place, I've ordered all available Militia Privates to station themselves outside of any sewer entrances, to ensure that any remaining threat does not find it's way into the city.
  8.
  9. I would like to take a moment to give thanks to those who sacrificed everything for the not just the City of Arabel, but the people that roam it's streets. In their final moments, five men of different colours fought shoulder-by-shoulder, ignoring their differences to ensure the safety of the city they served. Remember what they did for us, and pray that they find their friends in the afterlife.
  10.
  11. Signed, Private Philip Randles
