- 1.A if this is any help as a bandage solution, Do this (skip this if you have Debug Console enabled /or use Tweaks mod: by TookaFace)
- Though, you should know, if you haven't use tweaks before, that it adds a bunch of complicated-looking Graphics Settings to the game and if not used to that might be overwhelming.
- 1.B Here is the steps:
- 1. Go to the drive where you have the game installed GOG / Steam / Other - If you don't remember where it is installed to, go to steam or equivalent, cant help with other than steam, its what i have, sry..
- In steam, go to your library -> right click TW3 -> Manage -> Browse Local Files -> That will bring you to the The root of the install directory and you will see a bunch of folders, most not important just extra stuff CDPR gave you for free; THE IMPORTANT Folders is DLC, CONTENT BIN (not capitalized most likely)
- 2. go to this %The Witcher 3 Dir%\bin\config\base
- 3. now you are in the folder called "base" find the .ini file called --> general.ini (if you don't have set windows to show extensions might, just show up as "general" I am pretty sure.) Open the general.ini it will have some text, not much most likely. It will say this if it hasn't been touched::
- vanilla file example start -->
- [General]
- ConfigVersion=5
- <-- Example end.
- Here is what you need to do:
- under line "ConfigVersion=5"
- add this line --> --> DBGConsoleOn=true
- (only the text starting from 'DBG')
- what you want the file to look exactly like, afterwards::
- [General]
- ConfigVersion=5
- DBGConsoleOn=true
- #####

- final in-game steps:
- to open the console window you must be loaded into the game (meaning controling Geralt):
- on EN Layout: the ` tilde key. so here is key reff: https://www.computerhope.com/jargon/t/tilde.htm
- But trial/error might be needed, I dont use EN / any other Lang Keyboard Layout... so I apoligize i cant help with that.
- when the black window opens just copy and paste this in it (ctrl+c - ctrl+v should for certain work does for me)
- 1. Scissors
- additem('ibt_scissors')
- /////////////////////
- /// ///
- ////////////////////
- 2. Hairtie
- additem('ibt_hairtie')
- I hope you figured it out for now, ill upload a new version to the nexus, in case i figure a fix.
- have a good day!
- :)
