  1. >Be Carver
  2. >Be well and truly dead for reals this time as you fall over flat on your face
  3. >Unfortunately, the tavern bed catches you, but after a single moment clutched within its grasp, you've changed your mind
  4. >You can't die here!
  5. >Not now!
  6. >Not when this mattress has chosen to show you love for the first time in your life
  7. >A simple mattress from a small town out in the middle of nowhere, but to you right now, this is surely a king mattress
  8. >And despite its royal lineage, it takes it upon itself to take care of you and make sure you're comfy
  9. >And comfy you are
  10. >Your whole body aches from the day's travels, and this majestic bed knows just how to soothe it
  11. >Face still planted against the bed, the sheets embrace you and press against your lips
  12. >How forward!
  13. >It would be rude not to return the gesture
  14. >You press your face deeper into the sheets, but it appears they have betrayed you!
  15. >You find yourself short of breath
  16. >Actually short of breath, and not the lovey kind of short of breath you thought it was at first
  17. >Of course
  18. >This is how they get you
  19. >Lure you in, then when you're most vulnerable, they strike!
  20. >Too bad for Inn Bed, even your most vulnerable is not vulnerable at all!
  21. >You've still got your armor on
  22. >You tense your muscles and prepare to twist, ready to tear up those sheets like a pinecone tears up a pony's mouth
  23. >But just when you're about show that bed who's boss, a voice calls out at you
  24. >"Carver, are you seriously doing this?"
  25. >You raise your head and find Gisela staring at you from the doorway
  26. >Her beak is slightly parted and her brow is furrowed, like she doesn't know what she's looking at
  27. >A beat passes until you remember you still needed to breathe
  28. >You suck in a huge gasp of air, and Gisela shakes her head sadly at you
  29. >"I didn't believe them."
  30. "Wha?"
  31. >"This is not the first time this has happened with you."
  32. "And it won't be the last!" you say proudly. "Even when it jumped me from out of nowhere, it still didn't stand a chance!"
  33. >Gisela brings both of her talons to her face
  34. >"Hhhhhhh Why do we have to take turns sharing a room with you? And why aren't Blitz and them ever part of the rotation?"
  35. "Dunno. And besides, you should count yourself lucky! With me around, you're sure to be safe."
  36. >Gisela moves a claw out of the way to stare at you with a single eye, quickly reshutting it
  37. >"Blitz why." She sighs again before continuing. "Whatever. I'm calling it a night."
  38. >She tosses her bags against the wall and starts taking off her jacket
  39. "Wh-what are you doing?"
  40. >"Hmm?"
  41. "Why are you taking off your armor?"
  42. >"I'm not sleeping in it if I don't have to."
  43. "I don't follow."
  44. >"What's to follow? It's way more comfortable with it off."
  45. >You tilt your head in confusion
  46. >You don't get it
  47. >Why would anypony ever take off their armor?
  48. >More comfortable?
  49. >She throws her jacket and undershirt onto her pile of bags and looks at you expectantly
  50. >"You're not sleeping in that."
  51. >You look around
  52. "But... where else am I supposed to sleep? The floor? There's plenty of room on the bed for both us."
  53. >Gisela looks like a gasping fish the way she's opening and closing her mouth like that.
  54. >"Your armor," she says tiredly. "You're not wearing that thing to bed."
  55. >She wants you to take off your armor?
  56. >What a dumb birdbrain
  57. "Nuh."
  58. >"You're gonna destroy the sheets, and I swear, if you tear up my feathers..."
  59. "And what if we get attacked, huh? I've already been ambushed once tonight."
  60. >She sneers
  61. >"What, little pony nothing without her costume? Can't protect herself if anything happens?"
  62. "N-No, of course I can!"
  63. >"I guess you're lucky you got to room with me tonight. Don't worry, big strong bird will take care of the little hatchling."
  64. "Nuh uh! I'll show you! You watch! When we get attacked tonight, you'll be scrambling to put on my armor for yourself."
  65. >Your hooves roam your body for the clasps to undo your armor
  66. >You're uhh... not actually super sure how to go about taking it off
  67. >The thought never really occurred to you
  68. >"Need some help there?"
  69. "No, I'm fine, I can figure it out."
  70. >Just uhh
  71. >You just need a bit
  72. >"...You sure you're okay?"
  73. "Yeah! Yeah. I can figure this out."
  74. >"If you say so."
  75. >Gisela climbs into bed while you fumble about your suit
  76. >Finally, you spot a set of clasps for your forehooves and with a tug from your mouth, the pieces drop onto the bed, leaving your forelegs bare
  77. >Ugh
  78. >This already feels weird
  79. >Careful not to tear the sheets, you pick them up and toss them across the room, where they leave visible holes and scratches along the wall and floor
  80. >Almost done, at least
  81. >Just the entire rest of the suit to go
  82. >Hmm
  83. >How to solve the rest of this puzzle?
  84. >You twist and turn, careful not to leave too many cuts in the sheets as you figure out how to get the rest of your armor off
  85. >Putting it on was easy peasy, so why is taking it off so impossible?
  86. >Clearly it was never meant to be taken off
  87. >Gisela's voice grabs your attention
  88. >"H-How are you still working?"
  89. "It's hard!"
  90. >"I've been lying here for almost an hour trying to go to bed, but you keep shuffling around!"
  91. "Please, it's only been a few seconds."
  92. >"Carver," she says seriously, "it's been nearly an hour. You've made no progress, and I'm tired and I want to go to sleep."
  93. "Then sleep. I can go to bed like this."
  94. >"Not a chance. I'm getting that off of you."
  95. >She crawls over and what is she doing?
  96. >She reaches for your hind legs and with a simple flick, your booties fall off
  97. "H-Hey!"
  98. >She winces
  99. >"Gah, shut up, you're so loud."
  100. >She throws your leggings across the room and reaches for your belly, but you halt her progress by blocking her with your naked hooves
  101. "H-Hey..."
  102. >"Hmm?" she hums lazily.
  103. "I-I change my mind. I'll sleep on the floor if it means I can keep this on."
  104. >"As much as I would love that, we're still an adventuring party and this is one of the few chances we get to have a safe, comfy rest. I'd rather deal with this now than deal with your complaining in the morning."
  105. >She bats your hooves away and starts fiddling with the clasps around your belly, undoing them one by one
  106. >Your cheeks are burning up and you want nothing more than to just start spinning to get her off you
  107. >But you bare it, eyes squeezed shut and snoot scrunched
  108. >You hear a click, and suddenly you feel incredibly light
  109. >You open your eyes to watch Gisela toss the bulk of your armor with the rest of the pieces
  110. >"There."
  111. >Gisela takes a moment to inspect you, but her gaze lingers far longer than you expected
  112. "What?"
  113. >"Hmm? Oh, just uhh, it's weird seeing you without your armor. All naked."
  114. >The burning heat intensifies
  115. "Y-You too."
  116. >The catbird's ears perk and she takes a moment to look down at her naked self
  117. >"Huh. Yeah, guess so. Whatever, time to nap."
  118. >She crawls back underneath the covers, leaving you sitting on top of the bed all naked.
  119. >You don't know how to feel about this
  120. >So you decide to cast any thoughts away as you make your way to the other side of the bed
  121. >But when you lie down and pull the sheet over your bare body, you can't help but sigh
  122. >Oh
  123. >Oh wow
  124. >Wow, this feels really nice
  125. >You squirm in place, letting the cloth caress your fur
  126. >Whoa
  127. >You might have to do this more often, the whole not wearing your armor to bed thing
  128. >Hrm... maybe
  129. >A strong argument, a very strong argument, but it does mean taking off your armor
  130. >A definite maybe, but so far this is much better than you could have ever expected!
  131. "Hey Gis, th-"
  132. >Oh
  133. >Looks like she's asleep
  134. >She's got her back to you
  135. >Her naked back
  136. >Huh, yeah, it is weird to see someone suddenly just not wear the thing they always wear
  137. >You catch yourself staring at her, but whatever, you don't stop
  138. >You take in that well-kept coat, her giant wings, her defined muscles, those soft fuzzy looking feathers
  139. >You can't help but look yourself over
  140. >In comparison, your coat is coarse, and while your wings are smaller, you know they have at least as much strength as hers
  141. >Those feathers though...
  142. >Self consciously, you stretch and fiddle with your rough wings
  143. >They even feel slightly grainy
  144. >...You wonder how hers feel
  145. >The mattress crunches underneath you as you scooch closer to the griffon
  146. >It's not until you're within hoof's reach that you stop your advance
  147. >Gisela's body gently rises and falls as she breathes, with an occasional twitch of her wings and flick of her tail
  148. >You slowly reach out to pet the bird, but you stop yourself
  149. >I-Is this okay?
  150. >She's asleep, this can't be okay
  151. >Then again, you aren't really one to care
  152. >Welp, that's that problem solved
  153. >You did it, good job Carver
  154. >Decision made, you continue where you left off
  155. >Your hoof inches closer and closer to Gisela's body until it makes contact with the spot right in between her wings
  156. >Pat pat
  157. >Rub rub rub
  158. >It's actually kinda relaxing, petting a cat
  159. >And even though you can't hear it, there's a faint rumble of a purr
  160. >Your hoof digs inbetween her side and her wing
  161. >Gosh that's warm
  162. >And those underfeathers
  163. >It's like a floofy winghug, but just for your hoof!
  164. >You idly trail your hoof along her side
  165. >"H-Huh...?"
  166. >Gisela shifts as she comes to
  167. >Oh, woops
  168. >...eh
  169. >Scritch scritch
  170. >"Meeowr?!"
  171. >Her tail and wings shoot outward and she goes rigid
  172. >A mischievous smile finds its way onto your face
  173. >Ah, so this is how it is?
  174. >Thoughts of how you could use this against her in the future invade your mind
  175. >A little poke, a little scritch in the right spot and she'd end up like one of those goats that just freeze up and fall over
  176. >Heh
  177. >Baa, says the cat bird
  178. >You push the image aside, ready to keep on poking and prodding her, but you suddenly find yourself face to face with a very very angry catbird
  179. >Though you're not actually super sure if that red tinge is anger or embarrassment
  180. >"D-Don't touch me, you... d-dummy."
  181. "Baa"
  182. >"...Wha?"
  183. "Meeowr"
  184. >You didn't think she could get any redder
  185. >You also didn't think birds could scroonch, but she's doing a pretty good job of it
  186. >Her face feathers are even floofing up a bit
  187. >Got 'er
  188. >All she can do is shove you to the other side of the bed before huffing and turning her back to you
  189. >"I'm going back to bed! Stay on your side! I swear, you do that again and next fight we get into, I... I'll..."
  190. "Miss a shot and hit me instead?"
  191. >Her tail flicks madly
  192. >"I'll... sabotage your armor so it falls off into a pile of minotuar dung."
  193. >You freeze
  194. "N-No..."
  195. >"Just stay on your side and don't you dare touch me again."
  196. >With that, Gisela pulls the covers tighter over herself
  197. >You settle under the shared sheet on your side of the bed, careful not to disturb the kitty
  198. >She wouldn't really do that, would she?
  199. >She would
  200. >She definitely would if she could, you think
  201. >Just... gotta make sure not to touch her then!
  202. >Then your precious armor will be safe
  203. >Either that or make sure you don't run into any minotaurs ever, but that sounds like a lot of work
  204. >Scooching closer to the edge of the bed, you close your eyes and let the nap demons take you
  205. >...
  206. >You feel really warm
  207. >And you have no idea how this blanket got wrapped so tightly around you
  208. >But gosh this is the most comfortable you've been in a long time
  209. >You snuggle deeper into the world's most comfy pillow and bury your snoot in it, taking in a deep breath
  210. >Smells like a seaside forest
  211. >Coastal?
  212. >Wetclose?
  213. >Shooshnear
  214. >Yeah, a shooshnear forest
  215. >Cause that's the sound waves make
  216. >The loose feathers tickle your nose, but that's fine
  217. >You give your pillow blanket a light squeeze
  218. >And it squeezes back
  219. >Hrm
  220. >Squeeze
  221. >Squeezed
  222. >Perplexed, you finally open your eyes
  223. >White feathers, but not from a pillow
  224. >You're held close to whatever this is, but you manage to crane your head up
  225. >More white feathers, two green streaks, and a beak
  226. >Oh
  227. >So you just had your face buried in Gisela's thick chest floof
  228. >Looks like she's still sound asleep though
  229. >Wait
  230. >Oh no, no nono
  231. >She said if you touched her at all tonight she'd feed your armor to a slime
  232. >Or something like that
  233. >You can't let her catch you like this!
  234. >You try to wriggle out of the kittybird's grasp, but she only tightens her grip on you
  235. >Even when you push against her chest, she refuses to let go of you
  236. >Her hind legs hook themselves around you and you feel her tail curl itself around your leg
  237. >Once she's settled, she sighs comfortably into your mane
  238. >You are definitely not getting out of this grab
  239. >Hhhhh
  240. >You mean, it could be worse?
  241. >Like, at least this admittedly feels amazing
  242. >Being held and cuddled by this catbird
  243. >This might be up there as one of the fastest times you've given up a fight
  244. >But maybe not...
  245. >You can't run away, but you can do something other than submit
  246. >You can fight back
  247. >You wrap your hooves around her again and pull the two of you closer until your bellies are pressed up against each others
  248. >Chests pressed close enough for you to feel her heartbeat against your own
  249. >Face once again buried in her chest floof
  250. >She cannot possibly win
  251. >But much to your surprise, even in her sleep Gisela proves to be a powerful combatant
  252. >The napping kitty counters with a wing hug!
  253. >You sigh dreamily
  254. >T-Too comf
  255. >Between her warm fur, the puffy feathers, and the full body hold, you don't know if you can actually defeat her
  256. >Your eyes begin to droop
  257. >N-No!
  258. >Gotta fight back!
  259. >You can't give her a wing hug back from this position
  260. >So you do the only thing you know how to do
  261. >Get in close and spin until you win
  262. >Even Gisela's grip cannot contain your powerful spin muscles
  263. >You twist, and an overwhelming sensation strikes you
  264. >For a second you think this was a huge mistake, that you were done in by your own attack
  265. >As you turn, Gisela's claws rake themselves across your body
  266. >They don't cut you, but those scritches were easily enough to dizzy you with pleasure as you let out a low, gutteral moan
  267. >Your vision darkens a bit and stars start to swim
  268. >You manage to finish your maneuver, but you're left a panting mess
  269. >You can only hope your gambit paid off
  270. >With your back now turned towards her, you scooch back and assume the position of little spoon
  271. >Her floof sits on the back of your neck, and her talons wrap around your front
  272. >A weight settles on top of your head as Gisela rests her chin on your mane
  273. >You can feel a faint rumble as she purrs
  274. >Good fight, birb
  275. >You place your hooves on top of her talons and snuggle closer into her
  276. >Suddenly, she scritches your belly
  277. >Wha-
  278. "Aaoooh"
  279. >Wh-What's going on?!
  280. >One talon moves and scritches along your sides while the other draws circles as it rubs your bare tummy
  281. >Every now and then she would scritch behind your ear
  282. >But what would really get you were when she pinched them or trailed along the edge of them
  283. >You try to squirm out, but you're pinned right against her!
  284. >Squeaks and gasps and various other cute noises escape your mouth as her claws dance around your body
  285. >You can feel your strength draining quickly as she gives you pat pats and rubbies and brushies
  286. >At this point all you can offer is token resistance
  287. >You can barely move your limbs under her ferocious onslaught
  288. >I-It's over
  289. >You picked a fight against an absolute monster
  290. >You never stood a ghost of a chance
  291. >You melt into Gisela's embrace and submit to your fate
  292. >Your eyes slowly drift shut as the griffon takes her pony prey, lightly nibbling your ears
  293. >The only respite is the eternal sleep that has come to claim you
  294. >...
  295.
  296. >Be Gisela
  297. >You look down at your handiwork, the napping pony all comfy and tuckered out in your grasp
  298. >As fun as playing with her belly is, this isn't your favorite position
  299. >Carefully, you turn her back around so that her belly is pressing against yours, her head resting on your chest as she snoozes
  300. >One talon holds her side while the other rubs her back
  301. >You even pet her mane and fix some loose feathers for her
  302. >This should keep her quiet
  303. >She did catch you off guard earlier, and this is her punishment
  304. >But knowing her, she'll try you again
  305. >And you'll destroy her every time
  306. >You've still got a few tricks hidden away
  307. >You think you'll show her the blanket burrito next time
  308. >With you in it with her
  309. >Win or lose, she'll enjoy it
  310. >You know you will
  311. >For now, you think that's enough
  312. >You snuggle close with the sleeping poner and rest your eyes
  313. >Tomorrow's another day
  314. >But it's also another night
