Characters:

Rapunzel: The daughter of Frederick of Lumburg and Princess to all of the kingdom. She knows one day she will sit on the throne, and that terrifies her to no end. She is a reclusive and shy girl who never does any wrong, so sneaking out is very much out of character



Alice, Queen of Cards: Alice was once a kind and gentle noble's daughter, raised in a life of relative calmness. But like all of the Cursed Queens, she vanished without a trace as Ciuin took her in his clutches. Alice attempted as best she could to bring happiness to Ciuin, but it was to no avail. Eventually she began to go mad and, when Ciuin finally abandoned her, she fled to the far reaches of the world and carved out a realm in her own insane image. She attempted to remain kind at first, but eventually would be consumed by the Corruption, becoming the cruel and cold Queen of Cards.

Arcadia, Queen of Ash: Arcadia is the most powerful, the eldest, and the most ruthless of the Cursed Queens. She destroys all within her path, ruling over her realm, the Scorched Forest, with an iron fist. Her past has been forgotten by many, lost to time. Most believe her true name to not be Arcadia, but so far none have come forward with any information of her past.

Cinderella, Queen of Blood: Cinderella was once the youngest sister of a terrible noble family. She received relentless abuse from her mother and sisters and was forced to do back-breaking work for years. Eventually, Ciuin would spot her beauty. He offered her all she wished for, a night where she would be treated like a queen. She was gifted a beautiful dress, a magnificent carriage, and an invitation to the Prince of Coesca's ball. All was well, she even caught the Prince's eye. However, the spell wore off early, and the ruse was revealed. She was laughed out of the wedding, ridiculed to the point she broke. Ciuin offered her a deal, he would help her achieve her revenge if she would come and be his bride. Cinderella accepted, acquiring the power to control the blood of others, draining the prince, the guests, her sisters, and her mother alike. Eventually, Cinderella was twisted into the cruel Queen of Blood. Ciuin would abandon her some time later, and then she would carve out her own realm known as the Red Plains.

Ciuin: The Lord of Screams, the Sounds Shadow, the Dreaded King; Ciuin has many names. He is, without a doubt, the most powerful being in the land. Ciuin is the reason for the Corrupted, the cause of the Cursed Queens, and the Creator of the Silent Forest. None can match his power and very few even dare to oppose him. Ciuin was once known by another name, one forgotten to time, but this was when he was another man. A good, just, fair leader that was loved and respected by all. He ruled the land with grace and created happiness for all. Eventually, he fell in love with a woman, a beautiful singer with the voice of an angel. All was right in the land. However, when Ciuin was betrayed by the man he called his friend and his wife was taken and killed Ciuin changed. It is said he created a mighty storm of magic that made all within his realm perish or mutate. Their vocal cords were ripped from their bodies and strewn among the dying trees, those who survived were transformed into dreaded beasts. His realm, dubbed Ekyo, fell silent and dark. No light has entered it since, and all sounds from within are entirely muted. Ciuin has tried several times since to replace his wife, kidnapping several women and attempting to transform them in her image, but he has failed to recreate her voice and cast them aside. From his failures the Cursed Queens rose. It is said Ciuin has taken a new Queen, one by the name of Rapunzel.

Eckhard Zuehlsdorff: Court Wizard of King Frederick, a respected and wise one at that. He is often a bit short-tempered, but overall he wants to do good.

Gillian Hook: Gillian Hook was a former captain of the Lady of the Wind, a strong skyship, before it was stolen by Mr. Smee and Peter Pan.

Helwig Salwey: Shady black market dealer of Lumburg, usually found prowling around the seediest corners of the city. His favorite place seems to be the scummy bar known as Gunther's.

King Frederick IV: Current Ruler of Lumburg, King Frederick IV is a fair and just ruler. Though young he shows wisdom far beyond his years. Despite this, many call for his removal from the throne, mostly due to the uncertainty surrounding his father's death.

Marhorn Vauss: Owner of the MadCapp Inn, this old cranky man always complains about the rain. He is actually cursed by a fey he once fell in love with and attempted to trap, doomed to always bump his head and see rainy days.

Morrigan White: Old lady and frequent client of the MadCap Inn, she constantly tries to find her true love to lift her curse

Mr. Smee: Former first mate of the Lady of the Wind, he stole the ship and turned his loyalty to Peter Pan

Peter Pan: Scourge of the Charming Woods, Peter Pan is a kidnapper, extortioner, pirate, and murderer. He leads a group of twisted rogues and thieves, some of which he kidnapped as children.

Prince Charming: Prince Charming is the embodiment of good. He rules over Sugardale, protecting its residents from the Cursed Queen's and Ciuin's twisted creations alike. He knows well that at any time Ciuin could topple his armies on his own but, luckily, the dreaded Lord of Screams shows no interest in Sugardale. Prince Charming, however, wants nothing more than to end Ciuin's reign and take down the Cursed Queens.

The Duke of Teeth: The Duke of Teeth once was known to bring joy to children's lives, using his vast wealth to reward them for simply losing their teeth. However, he has certainly changed his ways now, showing none of the gregarious nature he once had and, instead, becoming a cynical and uncaring man. Not much is known about his history, and he is not exactly willing to share any of it. However, he has proven to be able to obtain a vast fortune of knowledge, using his skills to create a web of contacts throughout the different realms, barring Ekyo. Because of this, Prince Charming has made him his court's Spymaster.

The Gingerbread Man: This demonic creature is one of the Corrupted, a twisted being born from the creation of Ekyo and the mutations that came from it. He has made his way through the realms, gobbling up all of those he has captured, and decided to make his home in the cheery lands of Sugardale, between Plumdale and Sun Harbor.

The White Rabbit: The White Rabbit once made his home in the bizarre Wonderland, but eventually made his way to Sugardale. He is a timid and worried creature, but shrewd and quick. Prince Charming has awoken his potential, making him his steward, a job at which The White Rabbit excels.

Valdas, the Queen of Mirrors: Valdas was never a kind soul, born to a powerful noble family in Pavella and raised to have vanity in excessive surplus. Valdas was cruel to her family's help, lesser nobles, and especially peasants. One day, Valdas stumbled upon a hag living near Pavella. The hag offered her a mirror, but warned her not to look too deeply, for mirrors are powerful things. Valdas scoffed at the hag, smashing the mirror on the floor before her for it was not made of silver or gold and not befitting such a noble as herself. The hag cackled as a shard of glass flew up and sank into Valdas' eye. She shrieked in pain and rubbed her eye, the more she rubbed it the deeper the glass went. The hag had cursed Valdas. Her parents were mortified, Valdas' once beautiful face was scarred, and her blue eyes had been replaced by mirror-like shards. They attempted to banish her from their castle, and this is where Ciuin made his presence known. Ciuin gifted Valdas with powers to befit her rage, and she turned her parents into mirrors before smashing them with a candlestick. She agreed to become Ciuin's bride, only to fall deeper into her corruption. After Ciuin discarded her she carved out her own bizarre and twisted realm known as the Glades of Glass

Mr Smee - Gillian Hook's first mate that betrayed her for Peter Pan and gave him her skyship

Duke of Teeth - The tooth fairy, spymaster of Prince Charming but secretly with the Queen of Blood

Mad Hatter - Lives in the Madcap Inn, will eventually work to save Alice

Tin Soldier - massive tin soldier in service to the Queen of Blood

Old Lady Who Lives in a Shoe - Known as Baba Yaga, her shoe has legs, works for Queen of Ash

Hansel and Gretel - Strategist and tactician for Prince Charming

Huntsman - General of Prince Charming armies

Big Bad Wolf - Actually Lancelot, rival to the party until they destroy his Heart and bring him back to Lancelot

Red Riding Hood - Actually Gwenivere, trapped in a massive ruby, freed after party kills Mordred

Synopsis:

The players answer a call for adventurers by the good King Frederick IV, his daughter Rapunzel has gone missing. The players are promised a massive reward if they can find the princess and bring her home. Players investigate her room to find a strange black sludge on the windowsill and a journal stating that her prince charming, ciuin, has been coming to her window for the last few nights. The black sludge sticks to whomever touches it. As the players investigate more a strange green smoke appears in the distance but no one pays attention. Eventually a little white rabbit will sprint toward it saying he is late, but again no one pays attention. On following the bunny or the smoke the players come across the source, a pie in the window. Wis checks progressively harder the closer they get to the pie, they all SHOULD fail. when players do, they wake up in a deep and vibrant forest, much thicker than the one they were just in, with only a single path made of pink sand. Following it they will eventually come across the Mad Cap Inn, an obviously magical tavern built into a huge mushroom. Inside they will meet the inhabitants and the Mad Cap's owner, Marhorn Vauss, who informs them they are in the Neverending Woods. The only way out is in the sky, and only players who can fly see a way out. However, the Map Cap's cook is a woman named Gillian Hook. Captain Hook claims that she can fly the players out of the Neverending Woods and to the city of Sugardale, ruled by Prince Charming. The only issue is that her first mate, Mr. Smee, had betrayed her and sided with the evil Peter Pan, who lead his gang of Lost Boys to slaughter her crewmates and capture her ship. Gillian tells the players that, if they can retrieve her ship, she would agree to sail them to Sugardale for free. When they players reach the Lost Boys hideout, they must battle through the gangsters before coming face to face with Mr. Smee, Peter Pan, and Tinkerbell in a battle on the flying skyship.

Players will meet with Prince Charming, and his court. Including the Duke of Teeth and various others. They learn of the Cursed Queens and Ciuin, and Rapunzels ultimate fate. Luckily, Prince Charming seeks to lead an army to finally reclaim the lands for the forces of good. Doing away with the Cursed Queens, although he does not feel Ciuin will ever be dealt with. To do this, however, he needs his grand strategist and his general, a pair of twins known as Hansel and Gretel, who have gone missing recently. On investigating their home it appears Hansel and Gretel were investigating a slavery ring. The players are attacked by cloaked men claiming allegiance to Ciuin before leaving Sugardale, saying that his eyes and ears are everywhere. The players track down Hansel and Gretels last known location to a cabin in the woods made of candy. There are traps around the home, but a secret entrance to an underground tunnel in the oven reveals a horrific and gruesome torture chamber and complex beneath, manned by goblins and other wicked beasts. At the end, the players find a huge gingerbread man, but no witch. When the players are about to release Hansel and Gretel, they reveal that it is the cookie that is the enemy, and the Gingerbread Man attacks!

After saving Hansel and Gretel, players return to Prince Charming. He states that he will start readying his army, but in order to do so his greatest general must be retrieved. The Huntsman has vanished in a quest to kill the Big Bad Wolf, who has been harassing the Three Little Pigs

Players ignored Cruella when she said she'd kill Perdita. Pongo will remember this
