- 17:10] Finn Ghede says, "Renly, we should speak."
- [17:12] Elisha Avery Ghede says, "Dad."
- [17:12] Finn Ghede asks, "Elisha?"
- [17:12] Elisha Avery Ghede says, "Don't die."
- [17:12] Elisha Avery Ghede says, "I'm not taking your place."
- [17:12] Elisha Avery Ghede says, "But, I can give you a new arm or leg."
- [17:12] Finn Ghede says, "...I'll do my best, son."
- [17:13] Finn Ghede says, "But war is never certain."
- [17:27] "Those monsters are strong." Finn admitted. "But when I mean protecting them, it doesn't mean only fighting our enemies. It means keeping the family together, finding a home to hide in if necessary."
- He pat Elisha's head with his natural hand and then let out a breath.
- "Your mother will do what she can too. Her healing capabilities have kept us all in one piece, you and I both." Finn noted the scar, he likely already knew some of the details, and with it he held up his crystal hand, a formation that Elisha would know enveloped the entirety of the High Lord's arm.
- "So long as you devote yourself entirely to what you believe in, you'll do alright." Finn said, some final parting advice for the moment before he waved Renly to follow him into the tower.
- "Come, nephew. I have something to speak with you about."
- (Finn Ghede)

- [17:29] Sitting at the table when Finn comes to approach him, something seems to be within a daze.. Busy, in thought, before the High Lord proceeds to give a small speech-- perhaps, of encouragement, to Elisha.
- Slowly, when he comes to a stand, Renly greets his youngest cousin with a smile.. Hands come to pat him on a houlder.
- "I will protect all of us. Remember, Elisha. This is our home. our life. The demons will be banished back into the depths before they come to control our Vale," he nodded.
- Then, his gaze tracked away, coming to follow Finley into the tower.

- [17:30]
- {LOAD GAME}
- [17:34] "...that, I can do. Already found a place to hide, if things get awful. But...I want to do what I can to make sure it doesn't come to that." It wasn't on purpose, but finding a place where six lupin resided at all times was rather nice.
- Regardless, he suddenly finds a lot of weight on his shoulders. Yet, like the weight before, he simply stands tall and bears it. It was molding him, shaping him into something he didn't want to be.
- Yet, into something he needed to be.
- "She has, and yeah. Devote myself..." His thoughts and feelings towards the situations at hand were rather simply. The demons had hurt, or attacked, quite literally everyone he really cared about.
- Making them his enemy, nothing more, nothing less.
- "Yeah. It is, and you will." Spoken to his cousin, whom pats his shoulder. "And if you slip up, I'll...take care of the mess, so you can get back to keeping us and the Kingdom-...the Vale, safe."
- That, after all, was the roll he decided to play in all this.
- For now, at least.

- [17:35] Finn Ghede says, "You'll do well, son."
- [17:43] "Ro is gone."
- Finn opened with the bad news. It wasn't that there was better news to come after it, but he wasn't one to mince words.
- "He's left his post and descended into the Vale, unlikely to return..." the High Lord didn't seem angry, but more somber at the prospect of losing one he had essentially raised.
- "And while we enter these dire times, more responsibility must fall to us. The Vale is threatened, and if we can't band together, then what visions I've been shown foretell nothing but ruin." Still grim talk from one who knew the truths of the world.
- "..you are young, Renly. Younger than I feel comfortable with asking you to take upon the duties I am. But I would see to it that you take Ro's position. That you lead the Greycloaks as a Mistseer. Oversee their training, recruit more to our cause. I wouldn't be asking you this if I didn't believe you capable..."
- Finn leaned back in his seat, his gaze studying Renly's face for how he might feel in being asked this.
- "The laws must change. Mistseers will no longer be bound to only Teraphim, but to any who are attuned to the Vale. With this amendment, I would see you take on these duties." He waited a second before asking, "Do you accept?"
- (Finn Ghede)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [17:44] Renly says, "no"
- [17:45] Amalia actually was never here either!
- (Amalia Ghede)

- [17:50] It was not good news for the young Halfling to hear.. But it was something that, unfortunately.. He had to hear.
- "Ro is gone?.. That's not good. We are in the midst of war-- but.."
- He knew Ro. Losing his bond must have been too much for him. The Champion of Esshar falls once more..
- Into the depths of their home, no less. It is tragic for him to hear. Even so, he allows his uncle to finish his short speech, before giving his own words.
- "I see .. In our most dire times, we finally accept that humans are just as important as Aschea's blessed.." He muses, for a moment, pausing on that moment in the same vein for only a second.
- "..It is true. I am human, but I have a Teraphim's heart in a chest in my home, from the Valedepths. It is corrupted, but I believe I have the means to cleanse it. I can take on Aschea's blessing myself..
- It is something I have been hesitant with. Humanity is what is the most important to me, but I need the power to shift the balance in this war, even if it is something we covet oh-so much.."
- He paused. "..I accept, but you must perform the Rite of the Chrysalis once I find Agate and she helps me banish the occultism resting within the Teraphim's heart."
- His powers of cleansing had been few and far between, but with Agate, there was no doubt they could fix it together; and help him ascend.
- (Renly)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [18:02] "In the end, the Vale will be defended and protected by human and Teraphim alike. Any devoted to it will see it preserved, and I cannot hold others back simply because they lack a crystal heart."
- "I intend to offer Leni this same choice so that we might form a semblance of leadership to push forward with." Finn explained.
- He listened more to what Renly had to say, and with his nephew's request, Finn gave a nod.
- "You will be the next Rite. Once the Vale's powers collect together once again in the coming years, you'll be offered the blessing."
- The High Lord gave Renly a small smile, one that spoke of his quiet appreciation that the young half-teraphim took upon himself.
- "Leave a letter for Agate. She'll return someday soon, I'm sure."
- (Finn Ghede)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [18:07] His own speech about having the heart seemed to have been ignored..
- Unfortunate, though something that he would work toward regardless. If there was a way to make it usable, it would be used.
- "Humanity is our most powerful aspect. Humankind will see the Vale protected if the Teraphim fall. The demons will tumble over, like blocks.."
- His opinion had been.. Made, already. It was no longer about balance to him, and if it was, it was starting to shift out of such.
- "..I see. If this fails, then I will use the Vale to gain my blessing." He nodded. "..and I will try to contact Agate." He nodded. "Is there anything else of importance that I should know .. or do?"
- (Renly)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [18:09] Finn Ghede says, "For now, keep that heart handy. We'll use it Ensure the Greycloaks are trained for the future. Many of them are young, but they are the hope of the future."
- [18:09] Renly says, "Of course."
- [18:09] Finn stood from his seat and let his hand rest on the table. "And prepare yourself as well. This storm will be dark. But we'll see it through."
- (Finn Ghede)
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- [18:10] Renly says, "Right."
- [18:11] Finn Ghede says, "I'll have to speak with Leni soon, but for now you're dismissesd, Mistseer."
