catlamp pages 37 - 39

[page 37]
	[lick is climbing back into an open window of the train, already halfway inside. dusty's light casts lick's shadow out across the water, out towards where the figures are encroaching.]
	[standing on the doorway to the front engine room, which is sideways because of the train being toppled; they're staring at the circular input on the dashboard. the circle is glowing brightly now. immediately outside of the windshield, ivory tentacles slither up the window.
lick: "...huh."]
	[a view of lick from the dashboard, still standing on the doorway's edge. they're staring curiously at the circle.
lick: "is that because of you...?"]
	[lick, now standing on the raised wall at one end of the dashboard. they wiggle their haunches, staring up at the glowing circle.]
	[lick, now mid-jump. on the other side of the dashboard, figures follow dusty's light upward, even though they can't get to them through the window.]
	[lick scrambling to get a grip, hanging by their forepaws on the bottom of the circle.]
	[they strain to maneuver their head so they can lift dusty up to the input, teeth gritted as lick pulls them upward.]
	[lick manages to lift dusty up and sit the base of their frame inside the input.]
	[click! they give one last push, successfully inserting dusty.]

	[still hanging from the circle, they watch in astonishment as dusty's glow intensifies.]
	[the light gets even brighter, and lick averts their face and squints.]
	[a view outside of the train, turning over back onto its wheels. the white figures slip off as it rights itself.]
	[the frontmost wheel, stationary in the water.]
	[the wheel begins to turn.]
	[as it turns faster, the cab unit lifts from the ground.]
	[the train actually gains air as it finally powers on, ascending above the ground. the wheels spin and drip water back into the huge puddle underneath.]

	[a huge panel, viewed from in front of and above the train. at the top is the dark sky, clouds framing the still-smoldering watertower building at the top of the hill. further down the hill is the dead tree where lick's grave was. the water from the building is still spilling downward, slowly dropping over the cliff. the cave and the pond of water sit at the bottom of the cliff, left behind by the train. the train is suspended a couple of stories in the air as it moves along away from the hill, over the grassy fields that span outward.
dusty: "... ugh..."]
	[lick sits terrified next to dusty on the dashboard, their eyes barely peeking out over the bottom of the window. their eyes are wide in shock. dusty's face slowly comes into being again as they awaken.]
	[dusty, eyes opening slowly.
dusty: "what... what on earth is going on?"]
