cause of death: major blood loss and organ failure.

• hephaestus was found in the bathtub of his dorm, sitting in it with his legs over the edge. there is a large machine before him. his chest is fully open and exposed, with the missing chunks of flesh and bone in the tub with him. most of the blood has slipped down the drain already, save for what's dripping at his mouth.
the machine is also splattered in blood, while hephaestus' heart is in a small jar that the machine has positioned above. it's currently suspended in some strange preservation liquid.


evidence and/or miscellaneous items:
- it seems that hephaestus built the robot himself, on his work bench in the main room. the jar and preservation fluid was retrieved from his medical stash in the corner of the room.

inconsistencies:
- n/a. this fully points to a suicide.
