- Trine (PC, PS3).
- X360 owners might be partially interested as well because Trine 2 have an version for it.
- in any case, Trine 2 will get an separate review once i'll finish it.
- short review: updated version of The Lost Vikings.
- Story: 1.5/4.
- minimal story but the game isn't based on it, so i'll let it slide in the final rating.
- you play as an thief, mage and knight that touch an ancient artifact called the Trine that bound their souls together.
- as they try to find a way to unbind themselves they travel around the region where they found the artifact and find out why it is infested with the undead.
- the addition half point was earned for being funny every once in a while.
- Gameplay: Alone: 7/10. With a friend: 8.5/10.
- you can categorize the game as an puzzle -platformer with local multi. i local multi!
- you control one of the 3 characters and use their unique traits to beat the levels.
- it gets funner when you play with someone and can combine the traits of two characters.
- i'll just let you watch

- on the levels hidden items and XP potions (50 of those worth an level up and an skill point).
- you can take your levels and items to any stage and use them in any time.
- biggest complaint i have is that you can't stop playing in any way mid-level without losing most of your progress. (you still keep the XP you collected)
- this means that you'll need to free at least an hour if you plan to play it.
- *they fixed this issue in Trine 2
- *the control in this game feels more natural then in the 2nd one.
- Graphics: no complaints.
- Replayability: 4/5
- collecting everything in all the levels is quite hard and you can always play in higher difficulties. solid replay value. specially if you play it with fiends.
- on the other hand, if you play alone you might feel a little burned out by the end. but nothing major.
- Conclusion:
- Play alone only if you love platformers.(or have free time)
- on the other hand, if you have someone to play it with.. you'll get much better experience.
- score: Alone: 7/10. With a friend: 8.5/10.
