  1. Privacy Policy — Sanctuary (OCD Page Blocker)
  2.
  3. _Last updated: 2026-06-15_
  4.
  5. Sanctuary is built to protect your privacy. The short version: **everything stays
  6. on your device. Sanctuary has no servers, collects nothing, and transmits
  7. nothing.**
  8.
  9. ## What Sanctuary stores
  10. - **Your blocklist and settings** — the pages/videos you choose to block, the
  11. timestamps for the cooling-off period, and your chosen delay length. This is
  12. saved locally in your browser via `chrome.storage.local` and never leaves your
  13. computer.
  14.
  15. ## What Sanctuary accesses
  16. - **The current tab's URL**, only at the moment you click the toolbar icon and
  17. press "Block this page" (`activeTab`). It is used solely to add that page to
  18. your local blocklist. It is not logged or sent anywhere.
  19. - **Page addresses you visit**, only to compare them locally against your
  20. blocklist so a blocked page can be redirected to the in-extension support
  21. page. This comparison happens entirely on your device.
  22.
  23. ## What Sanctuary does NOT do
  24. - No analytics, telemetry, tracking, or fingerprinting.
  25. - No data collection of any kind. Nothing is sent to us or any third party,
  26. because there is no "us" server to send it to.
  27. - No selling or sharing of data. No ads.
  28. - No remote code. All code ships inside the extension.
  29. - No account, no sign-in, no personal information requested.
  30.
  31. ## Removing your data
  32. Uninstalling the extension deletes everything it stored. There is nothing on any
  33. server to delete because nothing was ever uploaded.
  34.
  35. ## A note on purpose
  36. Sanctuary is a self-help / commitment tool, not a medical device or a substitute
  37. for professional care. The blocked page lists crisis and support resources.
  38.
  39. ## Contact
