Geometry Dash 2022 Awards

*Please note that we have also included levels that were rated too late for the Geometry Dash 2021 Awards, so anything rated from about December 2021 and onwards is eligible.

To be nominated for Best Auto Level, the level must
- Be rated Auto 1 star, and
- Have been released in 2022.
*There are too many unrated levels to consider for this and all following level categories.

To be nominated for Best XL Demon, the level must
- Be rated Demon 10 stars, and
- Be XL length, and
- Have been released in 2022.

To be nominated for Best Demon Megacollab, the level must
- Be rated Demon 10 stars, and
- Feature 6 or more creators, and
- Have been released in 2022.

To be nominated for Best Extreme Demon, the level must
- Be rated Demon 10 stars, and
- Be rated Extreme Demon by the community as of this post, and
- Have been released in 2022.

To be nominated for Best Modern Level, the level must
- Be rated, and
- Have been released in 2022.

To be nominated for Best Effect Level, the level must
- Be rated, and
- Have been released in 2022.

To be nominated for Best Art Level, the level must
- Be rated,
- Have been released in 2022.

To be nominated for Best Design Level, the level must
- Be rated.
- Have been released in 2022.
*We only operate with these 4 styles, so there may be some cases where a level is on the border between several of the above. In that case, we have chosen what we think is most appropriate.

To be nominated for Best Minigame, the level must
- Be rated, and
- Feature gameplay unlike the base game, and
- Have been released in 2022.

To be nominated for Best Bossfight Level, the level must
- Be rated, and
- Feature a bossfight of at least 15 seconds, and
- Have been released in 2022.
*For this category, we searched for levels that featured bossfights with exceptional boss design and a wide variety of attacks that don't feel frustrating to avoid.

To be nominated for Best Story Level, the level must
- Be rated, and
- Tell a clear story throughout the entire level, and
- Have been released in 2022.

*If a level is eligible for multiple of the above, we put it under the one we feel is most appropriate. This is to give more levels a chance to win.

To be nominated for Best Music Artist, the music artist must
- Be prominently featured in many rated levels from 2022.

To be nominated for Best Streamer, the streamer must
- Have streamed Geometry Dash during 2022.

To be nominated for Best YouTuber, the YouTuber must
- Have made videos covering Geometry Dash during 2022, and
- Have made a variety of videos other than simple gameplay replays.

To be nominated for Best Video, the video must
- Cover the game in some way, and
- Not be a simple showcase of a level, and
- Have been released in 2022.

To be nominated for Best Modern Creator, the creator must
- Have made parts in rated levels totalling at least 2 minutes with this style during 2022.
*You need at least 2 minutes to ensure that you're consistently good at that style for this and all the following creator categories.

To be nominated for Best Effect Creator, the creator must
- Have made parts in rated levels totalling at least 2 minutes with this style during 2022.

To be nominated for Best Art Creator, the creator must
- Have made parts in rated levels totalling at least 2 minutes with this style during 2022.

To be nominated for Best Design Creator, the creator must
- Have made parts in rated levels totalling at least 2 minutes with this style during 2022.

*We only operate with these 4 styles, so there may be some cases where a creator's levels in the past year are on the border between several of the above. In that case, we have chosen what we think is most appropriate.

To be nominated for Best Player, the player must
- Have beaten Extreme Demons during 2022.
*We acknowledge that good players don't always need to beat Extreme Demons, but we think this is the most reliable way of determining skill.
