English Text Best PS5 Controller For XIM Apex (Play PS5 Games With Your XIM)

Hey Everyone, and welcome to a new video.

So as most of you probably already know, the XIM Apex can now be used on the Playstation 5 in combination with a set of limited Playstation 4 controllers. Now in todays video I want to go over the current list of supported controllers, and show you which one is the best choice to go with.

As a short reminder, the XIM Apex will only work in Playstation 5 games when using one of these controllers as an authentication device. It will not work with any other controller, so you have to buy one of these if you want to play games on the Playstation 5.

Now I will order the controllers into three categories, the cheapest one, the best overall, and the one with the highest quality. That way you can easily pick your favourite depending on your needs. And as always, you can find Amazon links to the correct controllers in the video description.

Now the cheapest controller on the list is the Hori Mini Gamepad. It can sometimes be found for around 20 dollars, but usually it will cost around 30. So if you don’t want to spend a lot of money then the Hori Mini is the best choice. But keep in mind that the controller has a quite annoying firmware bug. Each time you start the Playstation 5 you have to un- and replug the Hori Controller, which at least in my opinion is really annoying. It’s the only controller from the list that has this problem. Also the Hori Mini has no audio port, so if you want to connect a headset to the controller then you should buy one of the other controllers.

Now let’s move on to the controller which in my opinion is the best one.
This place goes to the Nacon Compact controller, which basically is an affordable all in one solution. The Nacon Compact usually costs around 40 - 50 dollars, and also has an audio port for headsets. That makes it the cheapest controller on the list that also offers headset support. There is only one problem though, the Nacron Compact requires the latest XIM Beta Firmware to be supported. So if you use any of the previous PS5 XIM Beta versions, then the controller might not work. Also here you can see a list of different Nacon model numbers that 100% work. In the video description I have added Amazon links to the correct controllers, in case you don’t know if the controller you are about to buy has the correct model number.

Now about the controller with the highest quality. This is a tied place between the Nacron Pro Revolution and the Razer Raiju. If you want a controller with a really good build quality then one of the two is the best choice. And of course both controllers have headset support. But keep in mind that your mouse movements will not be better when using one of these controllers over a cheaper one. Again Amazon links can be found in the video description.
