Doppocalypse: Part One

- PART 1 BEGINS HERE -

22:02   Doppler It is the dawn of a new day. Not a present day, mind you. This takes place in the past, 2017 to be precise, 4 years after the first appearance of the mutants. The Brotherhood was still a growing group, yet to face the S-Men as they began to expand their power across the globe to the newly formed mutant community.
22:04   Doppler The original base of the brotherhood has been built far underneath the earth where the terrorist cell, or depending on your viewpoint religious group, meet. Today we look to Reverend Lamia, one of the enlightened members of the Brotherhood, tending to his personal room.
22:08           ReverendLamia is carefully scraping off the left over wax from his votive candles, after his morning prayer. Chucking them into a basket, he begins to head towards the kitchen to start preparing today's breakfast

22:12   Doppler There is a knock on Lamia's door before he can leave his room.
22:12   ReverendLamia   Oh, come in, friend!
22:12           ReverendLamia smiles, and opens the door
22:14   Doppler Treeneto himself stands before him, as tall and serious as he always is as he holds a clipboard. "Thank you, Brother" he says as he steps in, having to duck lightly to get under the doorway.
22:14           ReverendLamia bows, and kneels on one knee
22:15   ReverendLamia   My lord, what brings you to my humble abode on this most gracious day
22:16   Doppler "The matters of faith, to speak true" he said as he made is entry. "A dilemma"
22:16   ReverendLamia   psssst]
22:17   ReverendLamia   yer still Doppler rit lnow, my lord]
22:17   ReverendLamia   If you wish to speak, my ears are always willing to lend you a hand, my Lord
22:17   Doppler [yeah I know, I'm not doing /me or anything. just figured it would be easier as tree is only in the beginning of this]
22:18   Doppler "You know how each of us are chosen by god, saved by virtue of the genes he has blessed us with"
22:18   Doppler "Even those born of a blessed and a pig will be blessed"
22:19   ReverendLamia   Of course, our holy gifts, I know much about
22:20   Doppler "What say you to one who has only the part of a gift but is less blessed than even the weakest of the chosen. One who may not have been chosen but has the potential to?"
22:21   ReverendLamia   I....Do not follow, my lord. ow can one be...less blessed?
22:21   ReverendLamia   I thought the ways of God seems to be of a sort of...black and white dichotomy
22:21   Doppler "They are mysterious indeed"
22:22   Doppler "Black and white cannot cover some exceptions"
22:22   Doppler "I can see the seed of salvation, but it has not been tapped and instead lies within that which would otherwise be a pig"
22:24   ReverendLamia   So....you wish to elevate an...unenlightened into our ranks?
22:25   Doppler "An exception. A pig with the potential to become more"
22:25   Doppler "We will enlighten the unenlightened. What are we as prophets if we do not reap the advantageous bounty of God"
22:26   Doppler "Through work and penitence he may be changed to join us"
22:26   Doppler "And you I will trust in this"
22:27   ReverendLamia   My lord, I wish not to question in your infinite wisdom, but, such unorthodox methods, can they guarantee results?
22:28   Doppler "We shall find out"
22:29   Doppler Treeneto hands him the clipboard, a sheet filled with information on the subject.
22:30   Doppler "The unenlightened are a greedy and sinful lot. They had offered to sell their own kin to us in exchange for monetary gain to reduce their poverty"
22:30   Doppler "Perhaps we will mold something of use out of this"
22:31   ReverendLamia   Perhaps...
22:32   ReverendLamia   I vow, to you, Tomas, I will try my darnedest to reprimand this...unbaptised sinner to our ways
22:32   Doppler "The subject is in the holding cells. I have made plans to make his abilities usable until his enlightenment is reached through... practical means"
22:33   Doppler "You are doing the work of Heaven, Brother"
22:34   ReverendLamia   I do so for you, My lord. Thank you
22:35   Doppler "Now, I must return to my work. I have another matter to investigate. You may begin your assignment whenever you wish. Good day" Treeneto exits the room, his aura intimidating and mighty even as he leaves.
22:38           ReverendLamia gets up, and dust off his knees, before heading down to the holding cell.
22:38   ReverendLamia   Praise be to thee, My Lord!
22:39           ReverendLamia keeps on heading down, humming a tune to himself
22:41   Doppler Within the holding cell Lamia can see a short young boy of southeast asian descent. His hair is ruffled, his skin lightly dirtied, and his clothes tattered and worn. The boy looks around fearfully at the cell that he is held in, having not noticed Lamia yet.
22:43           ReverendLamia sneaks up behind the boy, and places a hand on his shoulder, squeezing it only a little
22:43   ReverendLamia   Hello, brooooooother
22:46           Doppler practically jumps out of his seat out of fear, looking back and seeing Lamia's monstrous form definitely doesn't help. He attempts to run. Being this is a containment cell, he doesn't have anywhere to run.
22:47   ReverendLamia   Fear not, my friend, I have come here, to help, nay, to elevate you into a new world of prosperity!
22:47           Doppler is backed into the corner, trembling and speechless as he looks up at Lamia.
22:48           ReverendLamia offers a hand out, for a handshake, and a warm, but toothy smile
22:49   Doppler "demonyo! halimaw! mangyaring mag-iwan ako mag-isa! gusto kong pumunta sa bahay!" he tries to slap away the hand, babbling like the scared child he is. "L-Leave me alone!" his english isn't that good, but he tries anyway
22:52           ReverendLamia rubs his hand, and holds up his clipboard
22:53   ReverendLamia   Your name is....Antonio, it seem. My name is Reverend Raimi, but, if you wish, you may call me John
22:54           Doppler is obviously not that trusting, still frightful as he watches Lamia speak
22:54           ReverendLamia sighs, and holds up a finger
22:54   ReverendLamia   Give me a moment, my friend. I will get someone....less jarring for you
22:56           ReverendLamia walks outside, out of Doppler's view, beforing using illusionary tactics to appear in his regular human disguise. Heading back in, he alters Doppler's sense of hearing, so, his voice sounds differently then when it did before
22:56   ReverendLamia   Hello there, my friend! I am sorry about the Reverend. His visage has been known to frighten others
22:57   ReverendLamia   My name is....Ted
22:57           Doppler blinks, loosens up his guard a little bit
22:58   Doppler "Wh-Why am I in cell?" he asks, still getting a hold of this english thing
22:59   ReverendLamia   Think not of it as a cell, think of it as purgatory, before you ascend to a new plane of existence
23:00           Doppler looks up quizzically
23:00   ReverendLamia   You seem to be of a unique talent, my brother
23:00   ReverendLamia   Come, sit
23:00           ReverendLamia sits near the wall, and pats down on the ground
23:01           Doppler sees no other option, sniffing then shifting over to Lamia. He doesn't sit close, but at least near enough that he could say he moved
Sun     ReverendLamia   Now, you, my brother, are a special case, among us special chosen
Sun     ReverendLamia   You are a great inbetween, the connector between us, the enlightened, those granted gifts and talents by God himself, and, the filth, and dredge, those that shall be washed, and cleansed, so we, the mutates, shall benefit and inherit the Earth
Sun     ReverendLamia   You have yet to have your gifts unlocked, but, in due time, we can baptise you in our ways. Do you understand?

Sun     ReverendLamia   You see, Antonio, in you, is untapped potential, but, with your enlightenment to be attained, you would be able to handle your god given gift, and, witness all the glory of the spoken word, and the sounds of the world. you could most likely, even listen to the words of the One above all himself. Sun     Doppler "I would wish to see that"
Sun     ReverendLamia   Exactly, but, here....Here, you are more!
Sun     ReverendLamia   Here, you shall lead us, into a new age, you shall be our Noah, as we cleanse the Earth, of each and every human out that walks these lands

Sun     ReverendLamia   As I spoke from the pulpit, I was transformed, into....a most heinous form, one of a demon, an unholy servant of the Lord Lucifer
Sun     ReverendLamia   For a few moments, the crowd before me stood in shock, and awe, before....I found out how loyal they truly were
Sun     ReverendLamia   They all rushed at me, onto my stage, and started to claw, punch, and kick me

He seeks for me to help with our kind, as we progress to the next step of his holy plan, and, for that, I am grateful, for both the awakening I recieved in the hands of my former followers, and, in the goal he had set for me

Sun     Doppler "....T-Ted? Your name wouldn't be John Raimi, would it?"
Sun     ReverendLamia   Yes, my child, I may have been a bit deceitful, in this guise, but....
Sun             ReverendLamia snaps his fingers, as he reverts back to his monstrous form
Sun     ReverendLamia   I wish to speak to you, from one enlightened to another
Sun     Doppler "I-I.... I just don't know. It seems off to me" he replies softly
Sun     ReverendLamia   What does?
Sun     Doppler "Why are the others not saved?"
Sun     ReverendLamia   Because, it is God's will
Sun     ReverendLamia   Is that not simple enough?
Sun             Doppler doesn't look like that answer worked, looks down sadly
Sun             ReverendLamia picks up the boy's chin gently, and aims it to look at ReverendLamia's face
Sun     ReverendLamia   My boy, I trust you, and believe in you, that, one day, you will help cleanse the Earth of those undeserving of it, and, remake it into a new image, of prosperity
Sun     Doppler "..w-we will see"
Sun     ReverendLamia   Yes, we shall see....
Sun     ReverendLamia   Now...
Sun             ReverendLamia picks up the clipboard, and examines the papers
Sun     ReverendLamia   We will have to do some adjustments, here and there, but, believe me, they will be necessary. Do you understand?
Sun     Doppler "I w-was told they'd be painful"
Sun     Doppler ["FOR YOU"]
Sun     ReverendLamia   Yes, yes, but...I can be of assistance
Sun     ReverendLamia   You see, with my gift, I can alter senses
Sun     ReverendLamia   So, if you ask politely, I can remove your sense of touch, until the operation is over, and, you will feel no pain going into it
Sun     Doppler "....c-can you do that for me?"
Sun     ReverendLamia   For you, my brother, I can do it all
Sun             Doppler looks up, his eyes having a defeated look in them
Sun             ReverendLamia smiles, and puts an arm over Doppler shoulder
Sun             Doppler lets out a weak whimper and lets him
Sun             ReverendLamia reclines the hug, and, stands up quickly, a twinge of sadness is on his face
Sun     ReverendLamia   I apologize, I have overstepped my boundaries. Now, come. I will try to find you a room, for you to board in, while here, if that is alright
Sun             Doppler nods as he stands up
Sun             ReverendLamia motions for Doppler to follow, as he leads him to his new quarters
Sun             Doppler follows along timidly

00:01   ReverendLamia   We have baths, and showers, and, every morning, I get up to cook for all members here

00:03           Doppler lightens up some. As much as he questions the morals, he's still a poor kid

00:05   Doppler "Alright..." he looks around at the base as he walks through, taking it in

00:06           ReverendLamia walks in front of an open door, and motions in
00:06   ReverendLamia   Your humble abode, Brother Antonio
00:06           Doppler walks inside, blinking with wonder. First time he's ever had his own room or even a proper bed before.
00:07   ReverendLamia   Do you have belongings on you?
00:07   Doppler "No. I didn't come with any, and I didn't have any at home"
00:07   ReverendLamia   Hrm
00:08   ReverendLamia   You have no clothes, or bedding you wish for me to retrieve?
00:08   ReverendLamia   I can get it post haste
00:09   Doppler "I don't /have/ anything, but you can get things if you want"
00:10           ReverendLamia scratches his chinny chin chin, before laughing, and opening a portal in front of him. The room is filled with the smell of smoke, and sulphur, as he leaps through, it closing behind him
00:11   ReverendLamia   get yerself adjusted, let lamia work his magic[
00:12           Doppler jumps back, yelping a bit at the hellish display. Getting his bearings back the boy takes another look around the room. First he heads straight to the bed and lays down on it to test it out. Jesusthat'ssomegoodstuff
00:15   ReverendLamia   As Doppler rest on his new bed, another portal opens up at his footboard, as Lamia claws his way out of it, with a large bag
00:16   ReverendLamia   I come bearing a gift, Brother!
00:17           ReverendLamia smiles, and places the sack beside his bed, as he heads outside of the door, going back to his humming tune
00:17           Doppler watches him go, still trembling. Finally the young lad steps off the bed and looks into the bag
00:18   ReverendLamia   inside the bag, is his old bike, a bit dented, but, all in all, in decent condition
00:19           Doppler smiles a little bit and lets out a sigh before he goes to explore the rest of his room and tend to himself

- PART 2 BEGINS HERE -

15:02	Doppler	Three days have passed since the introduction of the young lad to the brotherhood, and the day of his surgery has come. He remains in his room this morning, likely asleep.
15:04		ReverendLamia finishes his mid afternoon prayer, as he puts away his hymn albums. He grabs his clipboard off the drawer, and makes his way to the room of Doppler
15:05	Doppler	The door is closed by the looks of it.
15:06		ReverendLamia raps on the door
15:06	ReverendLamia	Brother Antonio, may I come in?
15:07	Doppler	There isn't an answer.
15:07		ReverendLamia lightly opens the door, and peers in
15:08	Doppler	As he opens the door slightly its completely dark in there, and he can see the lump under the bed of the sleeping Antonio.
15:09		ReverendLamia walks in, and rips off the sheets
15:09	ReverendLamia	Rise and shine, Brother Antonio, it is a new day for you!
15:10	Doppler	As he opens the door entirely a stack of books fall on his head, propped up on the door. A pattering of quick feet goes by as he is confused, running straight out of the room as fast as possible
15:11		ReverendLamia falls over, and rubs at his head, before quickly getting up, and running out of the door on all fours
15:11	ReverendLamia	We got a runner!
15:13		Doppler is sprinting down the halls as quickly as his little legs take him, gunning for the elevator that leads up out of the place
15:15		ReverendLamia stops, and smiles, before popping up a portal from where he is, into the elevator, quickly, he hides behind the door
15:16		Doppler taps on the elevator button, breathing heavily and muttering little thanks in filipino to god for Lamia no longer chasing him. He waits for the doors to open as he watches around, hoping nobody else will show up
15:18		ReverendLamia waits for the door to open, and when it does, he grabs Doppler by the shoulders, and brings his inside the elevator
15:18	Doppler	'NoNONONONONONONONO" he squirms and tries to escape the demon's grasp.
15:19		ReverendLamia presses the door close button, and lets Doppler go
15:19	ReverendLamia	Brother Antonio, was seems to be the matter?
15:19	Doppler	"I-I WANT OUT! I DON'T WANT TO HAVE THE SURGERY!" Antonio tries to weakly punch at Lamia
15:20	Doppler	"I D-D-DON'T WANT TO BE A MUTANT ANYMORE!" he's obviously panicked
15:21		ReverendLamia shakes his head, and sighs
15:21	ReverendLamia	It is not that simple, my brother
15:23	ReverendLamia	You have been chosen, so, this is your burden to bear, like it has been my burden to bear to assist our kind
15:26	Doppler	"NO! I.... LET ME /LEAVE/ !" with that last scream he creates a small concussive wave of sound, denting all sides of the elevator with its loudness and leaving Doppler dazed and clutching his ears.
15:27	ReverendLamia	Shhh, shh, it's okay
15:28		ReverendLamia waves his hand, as he reduces his sense of hearing, so the sounds won't hurt as much
15:28	ReverendLamia	Listen, do you know of Job, Brother Antonio
15:29		Doppler shakes his head
15:31	ReverendLamia	He was a good man,  and, was very religious
15:32	ReverendLamia	And so, with God's boasting of his great nature, Satan prompted him a deal
15:33	ReverendLamia	So, god slowly, but surely, stole Job's wealth, his children, and, his health, as a test of fate
15:33	ReverendLamia	And you know what Job did?
15:35		Doppler doesn't answer, grumbling to himself sadly
15:35	ReverendLamia	He did not waiver
15:36	ReverendLamia	He believed in God, even when he was at his worst. He never lost fate, so, eventually God rewarded him, with his health back, and, double his wealth
15:37	ReverendLamia	Do you see where I am going with this?
15:38	Doppler	"I-I am not Job... and..."
15:38	Doppler	"and this is not God's will!"
15:40	ReverendLamia	But...it is! You will help our kind, into a new age of Salvation. It is in God's cosmic plan, my friend, you have to believe!
15:40	ReverendLamia	Do you not think that you are destined for greater things?
15:40	ReverendLamia	You, a child, picked out of a village, full of turmoil, and spite, given these gifts to do good?
15:41	Doppler	"I'm not! I'm a k-kid! Not some t-tool for your... cult!"
15:41	ReverendLamia	It is not a cult!
15:41		ReverendLamia yells, getting an angry tone to her voice, before closing her eyes, exhaling, and calming down
15:43		Doppler cowers at first, sobbing lightly, but finds some vestige of inner strength
15:44	Doppler	"It i-is! You're just... you're just trying to butter me up to b-become your weapon! That's why you brought me h-here!"
15:44	Doppler	"If I-I have this power, its MINE!"
15:46	ReverendLamia	You are right, it is yours....
15:46		ReverendLamia motions to the elevator panel
15:47	ReverendLamia	I give you two options, then, Brother Antonio
15:50	ReverendLamia	You can go up, and above, to the topside world, where they will judge, and criticize, and push you down because of your powers. Where you will be told by people you will amount to nothing, and, you will stay where you are now, where your powers bring you pain, and, the ability to change nothing
15:50	ReverendLamia	Or...
15:50		ReverendLamia lowers his hand to the lower buttons
15:55	ReverendLamia	You stay down here, where we offer warmth, home and food, and will help you utilize and expand your abilities. A place where you will be among your peers, who will believe in you every step of the way, and nurture your development. Here, you will attain glory, and, attain perfection
15:55	ReverendLamia	It is your choice
15:57	Doppler	"....wh-what will happen if I go above?" he asks, part of a sob and a little bit of a sting in his voice. "you... you won't let me leave, will you?"
15:58	ReverendLamia	I will allow you, to wander above, in the Arctic tundra, and try to fidn your way back home, if that is what you wish
16:01		Doppler 's eyes widen when he's told just where this base is. It would be death. This isn't a real choice at all! The child who would likely be 9 years old starts to cry as he sits down against the wall of the elevator, curling up with his head in his arms.
16:02		Doppler doesn't give an answer, but he doesn't press the button to go up.
16:03	ReverendLamia	Or, Or1
16:03	ReverendLamia	Or, Or!
16:03	ReverendLamia	I could help you get there
16:04	ReverendLamia	You are not a prisoner here, Brother Antonio, you are a saviour, but....if you wish to leave, I could....find you a way to your home
16:06	ReverendLamia	But, you know they will not love you, and, will only despise you, and steal, hurt, and belittle you
16:08	ReverendLamia	Here though, we can be your new family, and, you will always have a hand to help you
16:08	Doppler	"But... I don't want to hurt anybody. I d-don't want to cleanse the world or anything!"
16:11	ReverendLamia	You may not wish now, but...you must trust me, Antonio.
16:11	ReverendLamia	You will give our people an ideal to strive towards. They will walk behind you, they will stumble, they will fall. But in time, they will join you in our cause. In time, you will help them accomplish wonders.
16:12	Doppler	"I d-didn't want this..."
16:12		ReverendLamia smiles, and pats Doppler on the shoulder
16:12	ReverendLamia	but, you will do good
16:13	Doppler	"I d-d-don't want the surgery... I just.. I want to go away...."
16:16		ReverendLamia scratches his chin, and then laughs a little giggle
16:16	ReverendLamia	Fine, just, let me show you one thing, about this world you want to go to
16:17		ReverendLamia snaps his fingers, as a portal creates in front of them
16:17	ReverendLamia	If you will follow me
16:17		ReverendLamia hops in, and waits for Doppler on the other side
16:18		Doppler follows weakly
16:22		ReverendLamia has whisked Doppler away under a metal desk, using the shadows to conceal themselves. The room they are in, is chrome in colour, and very sterile. A tray on top of a wire shelf stands to the far side of the room, and fluorescent lights hum above them, hanging from wires on the ceiling. The room seems to have only a one way mirror up on the top, where you
16:23	ReverendLamia	can see the brief silhouettes of a couple of men, and, a heavy metal door on the other side of the room
16:23	ReverendLamia	"Now, Brother Antonio, you will see what world you will return to. Just, stay quiet, and have patience, understood?"
16:24	Doppler	"wh-where are we?"

16:25		Doppler does so quietly
16:33	ReverendLamia	As he looks, the door opens with a click, and a whoosh,  as three men walk in, pushing a fairly young looking girl, strapped into a gurney, who is covered head to toe in green scales. She is wearing a sterile hospital gown, as she is moved next to the tray, and her gurney is lowers to a horizontal position. One of the men pulls a tape recorder out of his
16:33	ReverendLamia	pocket, and presses record
16:36	ReverendLamia	"Test subject 43C. Name: Kassie Boyd. Age: 16. Powers: Lizard physiology, and a form of cognitive link building. The time is 0400 hours, and, we will start the operation, to try and locate this mental gland" The man, says, as the rest of the team begin to puke on headphones
16:37	Doppler	[I think you mean put on headphones]
16:38	ReverendLamia	With that, he lays the recorder on the table, and puts on headphones of his own, and grabs a knife. He then pokes it into the lizard girl's body, and slowly makes a downward incision. Unfortunately, they decided against anesthesia. The room is quickly filled with the shrill scream of the girl, as the continue the surgery, not even blinking an eye
16:39		ReverendLamia uses this oppurtunity to raise Doppler's sense of hearing up a little, to make the scream a little bit more painful to hear
16:42		Doppler watches in complete and utter horror, sobbing quietly as he knows making any noise would alert them to his presence.
16:48	ReverendLamia	This continues on for 15 more minutes, as they begin to prod, and remove organs within her body. Fortunately for Doppler, she quieted down 4 minutes in, as she eventually died of the blood loss. Eventually, the main doctor removes the knife, and takes off his headphones. "test number 43C Has been a failure. Subject has deceased, and, clean up crew will return
16:50	ReverendLamia	will enter in 5 minutes to dispose of the body." The mans says, as he removes his gloves. The rest follow suit, as they dispose of the medical materials into a bin, and exit the room. The shadows up top Leave the room as well. Now, the room is empty, except the the remains of the Komodo-like Kassie. Lamia winces, as he shows some signs of pain, and struggle.
16:51		ReverendLamia motions for Doppler to stand up
16:53		Doppler is curled up under the desk, tears continuing to flow freely but his face a broken stoic expression. He doesn't want to get up but knows he has to, forcing himself to stand with Lamia
16:54		ReverendLamia holds Doppler's shoulder, walking him up to the girl's corpse, a look of horror etched on her face
16:54	ReverendLamia	Do you see this?
16:55	ReverendLamia	Is this the world you wish to fight for?
16:55	ReverendLamia	Where we are simply guinea pigs, for experiments, or minority, to abuse?

16:56		Doppler stares at the body, still crying but not making a single sound or movement.
16:57	Doppler	"....Wh-Why didn't we save her?"
16:59	ReverendLamia	Because, if we tried, they would detain us, and experiment on us. They see no difference between you, or I, or poor Kassie here. In the end, we are a mean to their ends. But, you, you can help stop these senseless killing. Do you see what you must do now?
17:00	Doppler	"Y-You could have teleported.... g-gotten her out of here... I.... wh-why is this h-happening.... why d-do I have to do this..."
17:02	ReverendLamia	Because, it is your destiny. Do you want to fight for a world where Kassie could live, and be proud of herself, or, do you wish to simple live in the world you have been handed?
17:02	Doppler	"I-Is this really the only way?"
17:03	ReverendLamia	Yes, it is. Some seek to simply lie down, and try and be absorbed into these heathen's way, but, we must fight back, and reclaim what is ours. We must fight for what we believe in. We must fight for freedom
17:04	ReverendLamia	They will never let up, unless we strike back, my friend
17:04	ReverendLamia	But....we must hurry, the clean up crew will be here soon, and, they have ways of even negating my powers
17:04		Doppler nods silently
17:06		ReverendLamia flicks his wrist, this time, two portals open up
17:06	ReverendLamia	Now, I give you the option again
17:06	ReverendLamia	Do you wish to return to your house, or...do you wish to come back home, with us?

17:07		Doppler looks up, his will shattered and his mind still in shock

17:08		ReverendLamia closes the one portal, and leaves the other open
17:09	ReverendLamia	No, go. We may not have been able to save Kassie, but, I will see to it, that she gets her final rites

17:12	Doppler	"A-Alright..."
17:17		Doppler walks through the portal solemnly
17:20		ReverendLamia closes the portal behind him, as he coughs, and blood trickles down his nose. He falls to the ground, as the scenery behind him melts to that of base of operations for the Church of the Friends of Humanity. Getting up, he walks to the pulpit, as Kassie's "body" begins to melt, and disappear. Seeing this, he laughs to himself, as he slumps down the front
17:20	ReverendLamia	of the wooden stand, and smiles to himself, for a job well done
17:22		Doppler makes it back to his room, collapsing into his bed in a heap
17:22		--- Reverb is back
17:24		ReverendLamia gets up, and goes outside. He kneels down, wipes some blood from his nose, and dirt from the ground on his sleeves, before waiting a couple of minutes, and popping back outside Doppler's room. He knocks on the door, before coughing into his hand
17:25		Doppler opens the door, looking up weakly at Lamia
17:26	ReverendLamia	Brother, are you ready? I can belya the operation, if you wish to rest
17:27		Doppler nods without talking, stepping out to follow Lamia
17:28	ReverendLamia	"Excellent. You are taking the necessary steps for our future, Brother Antonio" Lamia says, putting a hand on Doppler's back, and leading him down the hall
17:28		Doppler is led down the hall quietly until they reach the operating room
17:32		ReverendLamia picks up the clipboard, and hands it to the surgeons there, before leading Doppler to an operating table, and pats on top of it, giving Doppler a knowing nod
17:33		Doppler sits on the table as he's told
17:34	ReverendLamia	Now, we will begin, Brother Antonio. Before we begin the baptism, I will grant you freedom from pain, for the time being.
17:34		ReverendLamia places two fingers to his temple, as he completely nullifies his sense of touch, therefore removing all pain that will plague him during, and after the operation
17:36		Doppler nods, brightened up some
17:37		Doppler is taken to get ready for the operation by the surgeons
17:39		ReverendLamia smiles, as he waves Doppler, and wishes him luck

17:40	Doppler	Doppler is taken to the operation finally, all of the augments are set up and ready to be implanted within him. Outside of the room Lamia can watch it all happen. As it begins he can notice something strange. The effect he had put on the boy isn't there as his body is forcibly made anew.
17:42		ReverendLamia looks in fear, as he begins to run towards the operating room
17:42	Doppler	A stern hand takes him by the shoulder to stop him.

17:43		ReverendLamia recoils in pain, as his holiness leaves a burning sensation in his shoulder, but, stands back up straight, and turns to Treeneto, with a strained smile on his face, as he bows once more
17:43	ReverendLamia	My Lord, what brings you here?
17:45	Treeneto	"Your work. It has been exemplary so far, but you are too kind with him"
17:45	Treeneto	"He will not be able to face the world as our tool of enlightenment unless he is tempered to its harshness"
17:47	ReverendLamia	B-but...i have done so. I have shown him how cruel the world is out there, I even showed him an experiment. This seems....unneeded. I trust he was well on his way to hate the world we live in

17:56		Treeneto turns and leaves back to his own work. His word is nearly as strong as he is.
17:58		ReverendLamia returns to his room, rubbing his shoulder, which will most likely take a couple days to recover as well. He kneels before his altar, and begins to prayer
17:59	Treeneto	Meanwhile the painful surgery continues, lacking the blessing of Lamia or the anesthesia as every part of his body is taken apart and rebuilt.

- PART 3 BEGINS HERE -

18:04	Doppler	A few weeks have passed since the operation. It took far longer than expected for him to wake up in the aftermath of his surgery by several days, but the implantation was a roaring success. Today is the day that Lamia has been slated to meet with the boy again and take him to the training room to observe his progress.
18:04	Doppler	For now, Doppler sleeps in his bed.
18:05		ReverendLamia walks in, and checks on his vitals, and his charts
18:07	Doppler	He was initially in terrible health following the operation, but it has obviously gotten far better over the few days with the aid of mutant healing.
18:18		Doppler looks wakes lightly, looking up with tired eyes. They are different eyes though. They're partially artificial and have a small bluish glow in them.
18:20	ReverendLamia	Brother Antonio?
18:20	Doppler	"Y-Yes?" he replies weakly
18:20	ReverendLamia	How are you feeling?
18:21	Doppler	"I-It hurts still, and... I can see things now. All the time"
18:22	ReverendLamia	What can you see?
18:23	Doppler	"...Sound. I can see them. Whenever something makes noise, I can see the noise... Its confusing. I get headaches a lot"
18:24	Doppler	"I close my eyes when I get the chance..."
18:25		ReverendLamia goes to wave his hand, to reduce the pain, but, restrains himself, not wishing to overstep the wishes of his Lord
18:25	ReverendLamia	That is....astounding. What do these sounds look like now, that they are cleaner?
18:26	Doppler	"I c-can see where they're from, where they're going, and what they mean, and every detail of it. I don't know how to explain it, a-and there's colors I can't make"
18:27	ReverendLamia	Can you draw it for me, if I get you a paper, and some pencils/
18:28	Doppler	"I can try..."
18:29		ReverendLamia walks out, and grabs some pencils from the Brotherhood daycare centre, and his old record player, and a record from his room, before teleporting it back to the room
18:31	ReverendLamia	I will play an old hymn disc, and, if you please, could you draw what you see?
18:32	Doppler	"Alright"
18:34		ReverendLamia blows off the dust, and pops the record on, as the sound begins to fill the room
18:37		Doppler begins to draw what he sees. By the end it comes out... strange, but in a way it makes sense. Every word seems to be present, each note flowing, the record player can be seen, and even imagery and meanings all seem to be intermeshed in a strange wave like pattern that this writer can probably not properly describe as this is impossible for humans.
18:38	ReverendLamia	Amazing, simply....awe-inspiring
18:39	Doppler	"I-Its not perfect. I can't make the layers, or that its three dimensional, or the colors.."
18:40	ReverendLamia	It is fine, it is a experience uniquely onto you. Be grateful for this
18:41	Doppler	"Alright. Wh-What else are you here for?"
18:42	ReverendLamia	I am here to make sure you are well, and, to test out your new capabilities
18:43	Doppler	"Treeneto has been taking me to test my abilities since I woke up, I th-think I have a hang on them"
18:45	Doppler	"....It hurt some people, though"
18:46	ReverendLamia	It hurts people?
18:46	Doppler	"They brought in a few people. They said they'd be healed"
18:47	Doppler	"s-so I did the sound thing. they started to vomit and their ears bled"
18:47	Doppler	"do I h-have to do that today?"
18:49	ReverendLamia	Ah no, no...I will set you up against regular training robots, for precision
18:49	Doppler	"that's good..."
18:50	ReverendLamia	Can you stand?
18:50	Doppler	"Yes, just slowly"
18:50	ReverendLamia	Or shall I wheel you to the training room?

18:52		ReverendLamia grabs a wheelchair, and opens it up, before helping lift Doppler into it
18:53		Doppler sits down in it, yawning
18:55		ReverendLamia begins to wheel Doppler down to the combat room, entering in the keyprompt, and opening the door, wheeling it into a room full of cardboard cutouts, and, a sliding door, full of old robots, dented, burnt, and worn for the wear
18:57	ReverendLamia	Can you stand, young man?
18:58		Doppler wobbles up from the chair, finding his balance after a moment or two and nodding
19:03		ReverendLamia nods back, and heads to the other side of the room, near the robots, and begins to pick through them, picks out a slect few robots
19:16		Doppler waits for the robots to be fully set up
19:17	ReverendLamia	Now, I will activate the robots, and, you will have to take them down, understood?
19:17	Doppler	"Alright....
19:20	ReverendLamia	These figures, you see, seek to fight for a world, where Kassie's plights will continue to exist. They wish to lie down, and let our kind be subjugated
19:21		ReverendLamia flicks a switch, as the robots whir to life. Quickly, their holographic program switch on, as they take on exaggerated forms of Habeus Kaiju, Amos, Flipside, and Good Times. They begins to move, before casting menacing eyes upon Doppler
19:27		Doppler focuses, taking in a deep breath. First he turns to Habeus, the air around him starting to vibrate an outline around him. With a quick flick of his wrist Hab's horns vibrate as well, vibrate until they burst on his head.
19:27	ReverendLamia	good, good!
19:28	ReverendLamia	Now, deal with the gypsy! She can warp reality, but, does nothing to mend the world! She only searches for unholy relics, and curios!
19:29		ReverendLamia points towards Flipside, a disheveled looking, rag clad woman, as she cast her hands up in the air, and begins to speak in a horrifying tongue
19:31		Doppler then stamps his foot on the ground, as the sound completely escapes from Flipside's mouth, stopping her from uttering a single word. Sending waves to her ears he completely destroys her eardrums and most of her senses, forcing her unconscious
19:32		ReverendLamia laughs a giddy smile, and points to Good Times
19:33	ReverendLamia	The robot stands before him, ready to smash at him with a hammer, his bloodshot eyes, and painful to look at colours bombard Doppler's eyes. He form seems to be blaring music, sending waves of pain through Doppler's entire body
19:34		Doppler turns the sound back in on GoodTimes, sending disruptive waves throughout his entire body to overload his mind with pain and cause light damage to his ears and all his senses. His goggles are shattered in the process.
19:35	ReverendLamia	Now, deal with the worst of them!
19:36		ReverendLamia points towards Amos, towering over Doppler, as his tendrils flick to and fro. Fangs are shown in his mouth, dripping blood, and large, heinous looking claws try to swipe at Doppler himself
19:37	ReverendLamia	He is the worst! A wanted terrorist, a mutant hater enabler, and....he killed a dear, old friend of mine, in cold blood, when he only sought to seek love. Tell me, does that seem like a hero of the world?
19:37		ReverendLamia rest his hand on Doppler, and enhances the terrifying image with his fear manipulation

19:43		Doppler trembles back in fear, falling down and looking up. With a yell he slams his fist to the floor, using the created sound to pass through Amos' chest and going straight to his heart, stopping it.
19:44		ReverendLamia smiles as wide as he can, taking the hand off Doppler's shoulder, as the robot falls over
19:45	ReverendLamia	You did excellent, Brother Antonio!
19:46		ReverendLamia offers a hand to assist him getting up
19:47		Doppler takes his hand
19:47	ReverendLamia	Do you see, how your talents can be used, to help the cause?
19:48		ReverendLamia lifts him up, and pats him on the back
19:48	Doppler	"I-It hurt people though"
19:48	ReverendLamia	It hurts people that do bad, but....you can use it to save people as well
19:49	ReverendLamia	Come, I offer you another test
19:49		Doppler nods silently
19:52		ReverendLamia opens back up the door, and motions for Doppler to follow, as he steps into the elevator
19:52		Doppler follows him
19:53		ReverendLamia presses a button, to the top floor, as he hums, waiting for the elevator to reach the top
19:56		Doppler waits alongside him
19:56	ReverendLamia	Now, bundle it, it is about to get cold
19:57		ReverendLamia says, as the elevator door opens, and the cold arctic blast at them, filling the entire room with snow and fridgid air
19:58		Doppler shivers intensely immediately, his teeth chattering
19:59	ReverendLamia	Now, you think your powers can only hurt people, correct?
19:59		ReverendLamia is completely at peace right now, unaffected by the cold air
19:59	Doppler	"Yeah...."
20:00	ReverendLamia	Alright, well, it can help others out, as well

20:00		ReverendLamia says this as he creates a portal, and quickly hops through it, closing it behind him, leaving Doppler alone in the cold air
20:00	Doppler	"......."
20:01	ReverendLamia	below Doppler, he hears a tap underneath the snow-covered ice
20:01		Doppler looks down, blinking
20:02	ReverendLamia	The tapping begins to get louder, sharper, and quicker
20:05		Doppler starts to realize whats happening, brushing away the snow to investigate
20:06	ReverendLamia	underneath the ice, is the form of ReverendLamia, as he pounds on the ice, bubbles floating from his mouth
20:31		Doppler presses his fingers against the ice, focusing as hard as he can. His nose starts to bleed as cracks start appearing in the thick ice, vibrating intensely. Finally he breaks the ice
20:32		ReverendLamia swims around the ice chunks, and jabs a claw into the side of the ice, struggling to get up
20:33		Doppler doesn't help him get out though, stumbling back and still shivering from the cold
20:35		ReverendLamia sticks his other hand, as he lifts up his head, and begins gasping for air. Slowly, he etches himself inch by inch, and finally comes top side, and falls onto his back, wheezing. Looking at the shivering Doppler, he once again manipulates his senses, so he doesn't feel the biting cold, and, instead feels a little warmer than before
20:37	ReverendLamia	You did.....good.....
20:37		Doppler nods silently
20:38		ReverendLamia gets himself up, and coughs up a lungful of water. before popping his coat over Doppler, and leads him back to the elevator, closing it behind them
20:38	ReverendLamia	So, do you see what you can do?
20:41	Doppler	"I-I guess...." he says looking down
20:42	ReverendLamia	What troubles you, son?
20:43	Doppler	"....Nothing. Lets just go"
20:43	ReverendLamia	No, no, you have issues, I have ears, tell me what is the matter
20:44		ReverendLamia sits down, and pats on the floor to sit
20:45		Doppler sits down next to him
20:45	Doppler	"....I still didn't want this"
20:46		ReverendLamia sighs
20:48	ReverendLamia	Brother Antonio, I have told you before, I know, it seems harsh, and, bad, and, the world, unforgiving, but, you just need to know, The Lord has plans for you. You will leave your mark on the world. Trust me, I believe in you, now, why don't you believ in yourself?
20:50	Doppler	"....because I still think there's another way"
