"Your mother and I have decided to not sleep in the same room anymore" Lately my parents had been disagreeing over everything, so this wasn't really much of a surprise.

"So starting from today Carlo, you need to share rooms with your brother"

"WHAT??" I stand up. Leo, my brother laughs.

"Sound fun!" He grabs my hand and drags me to my room. Which already has a mattress and his stuff in it. Great. I sighed and got into my pyjamas and bed.

Thank gosh. Finally, I settle down to sleep.

When I wake up, Leo is lying next to me with his blonde hair spread all over the pillow. I sigh and shake him to wake him up.

"Hmm what?" He yawned, sat up and rubbed his eyes.

"Why are you in my bed?" I frown at him.

"Heh heh" He smiles. I sigh. Then I notice he has something red on his cheek.

"Oh you have something on your cheek" As a lean to wipe it off he pulls back.

"No I don't!" He then hurriedly rubbed it off. I chuckle. Probably jam he had for a sneaky feast or something. Though... it did look a bit odd.
"Race you downstairs!" He shouts and runs off. I groan and take off after him.
The next days are basically the same. Because it's the summer holidays, all I really do is talk to my brother. What was odd is that he always stopped snoring after a while. When we didn't share a room I didn't notice it but a bit through each night he stopped making any noise.
One night, I woke up for water to see he wasn't there. And my glass of water was empty. I was always a bit scared of going downstairs at night so never did, but this time I was really thirsty.
So I stood up, took a deep breath, and walked downstairs to get more water when I heard footsteps. Probably Leo getting water too. Then an idea came to me. I decided to creep up behind him and scare him. So carefully, I opened the door to the kitchen and...
Stopped.
In the middle of the room stood Leo and another blonde boy. I stood still and stared.
The other boy stepped towards my brother and growled. I gasped. Both boys then turned to me, and stopped in their tracks.
"Carlo!" They exclaimed. Now I was scared. How did this boy know my name? His green eyes stared into my brown ones, and this made me feel scared. Leo's blue eyes then narrowed.
"I SAID STAY AWAY!" He pushed the other boy into the table and then threw him to the floor. "Brother." He walked towards me. I finally snapped to my senses, opened the door behind me and ran out. Leo followed me, grabbing my hand and stopping me.
"Who was that?" I was confused and creeped out. "How did he know my name? Why is he here? What the-" He put his hand over my mouth to stop me.
"Never mind just trust me" He then started to laugh. "TRUST ME I AM LEO!" His grip on my hand tightened and i winced. He just kept on laughing. Then the other boy came out the kitchen, forehead now bleeding and he glared at Leo.
"STOP LYING"
"I'M LEO, I'M LEO, I'M LEO!" Leo sang, tightening his grip on me even further. What was going on? The other boy ran towards me and yelled for Leo to stop.
"I'M LEO, I'M LEO, I'M LEO!" Leo laughed and laughed.
"I'M LEP, I'M LEO, I AM LEO!" The other boy yelled angrily.
This was too much. I just stood there and started to cry. Both of them stopped yelling and 'Leo' let go of me. The other 'Leo' stepped towards me.
"Trust me" He took another step towards me and held out his arms.
"TRUST ME!" The other one grinned and did the same.
What? What should I do? Why was this happening? I did see red on Leo's face last night... Was it the other boys? Or did the other boy hurt him? I looked at both of them with there arms out and realised I was still crying a bit. They both seemed a bit odd. Leo grinned at me, and the other one looked desperate. I walked towards leo and he put his arms around me in a hug.
"He's my brother." Leo's arms tightened. I buried my head into his chest and sobbed. I heard a sigh and footsteps. Then a door creaked and slammed. Then I was picked up and carried upstairs.
"Who was-" Leo shushed me. We then got to our room and he lay me down on my bed and sat on the side of it.
"He was a nutter who was trying to replace me, Leo, as your brother" He patted my dark brown hair. "You might notice I go places at night"
I nodded. That explains the lack of snoring.
"Thats because ever science we were toddlers he had lived in the basement and plotted" He smiled at me. "Because he was lonely and wanted to be part of our family"
What a weird guy.
"But now he'll leave you alone because you know I'M LEO" He said the last part fiercely and then he grinned. "Goodnight Carlo!" He lay down next to me and held me close. Quickly, I fell asleep.
The next day, neither of us spoke of the incident and despite his words I steered clear of the basement. I decided to look at our families photos to calm down, which my mum had put in order chronologically. In the first photos, my mum and dad seemed to be close and happy, with baby Leo and then baby me. Then a picture of my brother from when Leo was three and I was two. In the photos after that my parents seemed annoyed and bored, like they act now. They always seemed so fed up with Leo.
I looked back at the picture of us and stared. Leo in that picture...
HAD GREEN EYES.
