- I'll break this down into the three elements you are most likely going to use. Dendro, Hydro, Anemo.
- *Dendro*
- Nahida is the clear strongest when it comes to keeping Dendro applied because of both her skill and status as a catalyst. Additionally, her burst will grant even more damage to the team with its buffs. Whenever you need to, you can swap to her to apply dendro to nearly every enemy in range. Additionally, she's capable of functioning as a driver if necessary for a team using Yelan or Xingqiu as its hydro.
- Dendro MC possesses a decent duration on their burst, but relatively weak application on their skill. They can definitely work with Dehya, but be sure to run them with quite a bit of ER to keep their burst up as much as possible.
- Alhaithem exists to act as a driver with the ability to add dendro to his autos and his large dendro application on his burst. The only issue being that he is an on-field focused character so you will have to plan around that.
- Yaoyao is interesting, her application is not bad, but it is a bit limited in AOE focused situations without CC. With that said, I believe she can work very well as your second dendro option for granting dendro resonance as well as additional dendro application.
- Tighnari is a quick swap focused character, and you will have to extensively play around that fact to the point where I don't recommend him for this comp.
- Collei's window of dendro application is very short, with her burst being reliant on reactions to extend its duration, and her E having a long cooldown. She can generate a small ring around you with her passive, but this effect lasts for 3 seconds and has the condition of her boomerang having not returned to her for it to activate. Overall I do not recommend Collei over Dendro MC who is also a f2p option.
- *Hydro*
- Hydro has a lot more units, so it is easier to group them together into categories.
- Barbara + Kokomi are both extremely powerful drivers in a Dehya comp. With both of them scaling off of HP for their healing and applying a large amount of hydro, they work perfectly for keeping the entire party topped off as well as keeping the cores coming. With the added damage resistance, both reach very high levels of survivability. Kokomi comes with the added benefit of Jellyfish which acts perfectly as an off-field application tool. If you have off-field dendro units, these are some of your best options for pure Burgeon.
- Xingqiu + Yelan are the polar opposite of the above two. They offer extremely powerful hydro application for another driver on your team, with Yelan being able to apply a large amount of hydro with her skill as well as her burst. Xingqiu offers additional damage resist which is additive in genshin. What this means if you will effectively be creating a 80%~ damage resistance wall that enemies have to break through in order to actual deal damage. If you are running a dendro driver, I highly recommend either one of them.
- Ayato + Childe are both drivers like Barbara and Kokomi, however instead of healing they offer a large amount of additional damage to your comp. As both of them have a quick rate of hydro application while on-field. I would suggest Ayato over Childe, however, because Ayato's burst fits perfectly by saturating enemies with enough hydro that you will have no trouble spawning cores whatsoever.
- Nilou + Mona + Candace all fall behind the above options, but are still all decent. Nilou offers great hydro application, but her damage won't reach as high as Ayato and Childe while her off-field application isn't as quick or easy to activate as Kokomi, Xingqiu, and Yelan. Mona's burst can offer some quick extra damage, but otherwise her off-field isn't as strong and her lack of healing means she isn't as unkillable as Barbara and Kokomi. Candace simply buffs things that aren't very useful for this comp. Her E doesn't apply enough hydro fast enough, and her burst suffers from range issues on swap and short duration.
- *Anemo*
- Anemo in this comp is mercifully simple, and completely optional. The reasons you run an anemo character in this comp comes down to two things, CC and swirl. For this reason, Sucrose, Venti, and Kazuha are the best options. Your Anemo character exists to plug one of two gaps, hydro or pyro application. The hydro swirl is good in general for helping generate more cores while bringing enemies together so they are all dealt the full damage of burgeon. Pyro swirl is not needed with Sacrificial Great Sword. However, with another weapon, swirling can help you proc more cores while Dehya's skill is down.
