GTA Tightened Vice speedrun FAQ

Q: What is this mod?
A: It makes Vice City harder. It's one of those "toughened" mods.

Q: How does it make it harder?
A: Bigger guns, new fail conditions, snow, and more. Or just watch and see.

Q: Why is the game in German?
A: The game crashes a fair bit with this mod, so I'm hoping that by playing in not-English (thus avoiding new modded text), that crashes might be reduced. As to why it's specifically in German, no particular reason, I just think it's done rather interestingly (e.g. unique stunts are Monster-Stunts). French and German don't remove rampages in this mod, so may as well.

Q: Is the speedrun any different?
A: Well first of all, it's not on the Japanese version. So we can't instapass Distribution using Hit the Courier, and do the old-school strat of just duping Hit the Courier 5 times for assets (and thus the save+wait after Spilling the Beans, to get a future replay for mass duping). And obviously we need to work around the new changes in the mod so we don't die or fail missions. Oftentimes you need to remove a wanted level before returning to a mission giver, or get extra armor/weapons.
