  1. >You're Sweetie Belle.
  2. >A curious, nosey little girl looking for new, fun and safe ways to have fun.
  3. >Right now you're bored.
  4. >You're staying with your sister, Rarity, for the week in her boutique.
  5. >You've already colored a little, cleaned up the entrance and straightened up Rarity's formerly messy design room.
  6. >You are now looking for other ways that are sure to make your awesome big sister happy.
  7. >Through your boredom, you've begun rifling through things all over the boutique.
  8. >You've been all over most of it.
  9. >All but two rooms.
  10. >Rarity's and the basement.
  11. >She keeps the basement locked, but you've seen her take the key to her room when she thought you weren't looking.
  12. >Your sister is currently out, and you know you're not allowed in there, but you're a curious little girl.
  13. >Maybe she's keeping some super neat secret designs in there.
  14. >Maybe she's been doing designs for some important people.
  15. >You know your sister is pretty popular.
  16. >Maybe she's been doing designs for a celebrity and she's afraid you'll mess it up!
  17. >You're a big girl. There's no way you would mess anything up.
  18. >Now your mind is reeling with the possibilities, the thought of maybe getting in trouble pushed almost completely away.
  19. >Grinning and giggling, you jog to Rarity's room.
  20. >The hunt is on.
  21. >You bound up the stairs, quickly making your way to the top.
  22. >In no time, you stand in front of your destination.
  23. >You slowly approach, taking the doorknob into your hand and twisting it.
  24. >You giggle to yourself, excited for what awaits you inside.
  25. >The door cracks enough for you to push it in and step inside.
  26.
  27. >It's dark. Curtain drawn and lights out, you can barely make out the silhouette of Rarity's giant bed and vanity from the thin sliver of light coming in through the hall.
  28. >You fumble around for the light switch, flicking it on.
  29. >Two unclothed mannequins set on either side of her large closet, facing towards the bed.
  30. >Being alone in the house, you notice they're a little bit creepy.
  31. >Almost like they're watching everything you do.
  32. >You nervously tiptoe into the room, looking around for anything particularly interesting.
  33. >You step up to her dresser, pulling out her drawers and rifling through them.
  34. >Frilly stuff, lacy stuff, poofy stuff.
  35. >Some of this doesn't even seem like it would cover a whole lot. What's the point in that?
  36. >Boring, boring, boring.
  37. >Long, striped stockings, lacy underwear of varying colors.
  38. >Man, you're disappointed.
  39. >Finishing going through the last drawer, you decide to move onto the closet.
  40. >You look uneasily at the mannequins as you creep up to the closet door, sliding it open.
  41. >The closet is filled with dresses, corsets, and formal attire of all kinds.
  42. >It spans from end to end, clothing of various luster, length and shape hanging from hangers and covered in a thin plastic lining.
  43. >Various high heals and slippers line the floor of the closet.
  44. >Everything in here is simply extravagant, as you would expect of your sister.
  45. >Except for one thing.
  46.
  47. >A plain, medium sized cardboard box catches your eye, almost hidden away in the dark crevice at the very back.
  48. >You duck under the clothing, almost crawling onto the floor to get to it.
  49. >You grab one of the flaps on the box and start to scoot it out of the closet.
  50. >Before long, you rest on your butt in front of it, just outside the closet.
  51. >You wonder what Rarity could be keeping in there in such a plain, boring looking box.
  52. >Rubbing your hands together, it's obvious you can't wait to find out.
  53. >As you flip the lid of the box open, your face twists into a perplexed frown.
  54. >It's filled with different weird things. None of them seem to go together.
  55. >Most of it seems to be more clothing of some kind, all made of what looks like leather.
  56. >You lift a wide ring out of the box. It looks like it opens and closes, as well as tightens.
  57. >It has ribbed edges on the inside and out and feels like its made of some kind of rubbery material.
  58. >You slide the ring onto your wrist, raising your eyebrow.
  59. >It's almost too thin, clinging tightly around your arm.
  60. >Looking through more of the stuff, you pull out a pair of fuzzy purple handcuffs.
  61. >Rarity isn't a police officer, is she?
  62. >You set it to the side, finding a few more weird things.
  63. >Some long strap of leather that kind of looks like a thin fly swatter.
  64. >A small egg shaped thing connected to a wire and little box with a switch.
  65. >Your lick your upper lip, concentrating as you flip the switch.
  66. >You jump, fumbling the box in your hands as it instantly starts vibrating.
  67.
  68. >Your heart races as you drop the box to the ground, causing the little egg shaped thing to buzz in circles on the floor.
  69. >Taking a deep breath to calm down and regulate your breathing, your shaky hand reaches to flip the switch off.
  70. >It falls silent and you slide it over with the other stuff.
  71. >Getting back to the box, you pull out a long, dark strip of fabric. It sort of looks like a blindfold.
  72. >You stretch it over your eyes, and like you expected, everything goes dark.
  73. >Dropping it onto the amassing pile, you see three more things inside.
  74. >The first is a key.
  75. >You knew it! You knew she put it in her closet!
  76. >The second is a ball attached to some kind of belt like strap.
  77. >You turn the thing over on your hooves before smiling.
  78. >It was obviously some kind of high class necklace.
  79. >Otherwise why would it be made out of leather like most of this stuff seems to be?
  80. >Leather isn't used all that often, right? You've only really seen more popular people wearing it.
  81. >Oh! And the flyswatter thing is probably a fake scepter!
  82. >Or... A real scepter?
  83. >A thought crosses your mind, and you can't help but grin, giggling to yourself.
  84. >What if she really is making this stuff for a princess?!
  85. >It explains the ring, scepter thingy and this weird necklace.
  86. >And even the handcuffs. Princesses enforce the law, right?
  87. >You have the chance to dress like a princess now, and there's no way you're going to miss it.
  88. >You slide the ball-necklace around your tiny neck and, with some difficulty, strap it into place.
  89. >You smile, looking down at it.
  90.
  91. >Your thoughts are only solidified by the coiled up silk rope you pull out next.
  92. >Princesses totally use rope!
  93. >For... Stuff.
  94. >It doesn't matter. You've already got the idea in your head, and there is no getting it out now.
  95. >You know it's likely not true, but you can't help but love the thought.
  96. >You move to grab the last thing in the box before noticing what it is.
  97. >It's large.
  98. >Made of rubber.
  99. >It's something you recognize from class.
  100. >Your face grows a deep red as you realize what you're looking at.
  101. >It's a p-
  102. >You're embarrassed just forming the word in your mind.
  103. >Pen-
  104. >It even sounds gross, as you look down at the long, rubber thing.
  105. >It's strikingly detailed, faux veins running up it and the flat side on the very bottom fashioned into rather large round...things.
  106. >You shut the box right away, your hot face practically glowing.
  107. >What would rarity need that for? That's gross.
  108. >Deciding to just forget about it, you pick up the basement key, running away.
  109. >You clumsily take the key in your shaky hands, trying to slide it into the keyhole of the door.
  110. >You barely manage to slide it in, and it rests unsteadily below the knob.
  111. >You lean in, propped up on the door, turning it.
  112. >*click*
  113. >Bingo
  114. >You hook your hand into the handle, pulling it open.
  115. >There before you lies the open doorway of the basement.
  116. >You grin triumphantly as you walk over to the descending stairway.
  117.
  118. >You can't see very well and can barely make out the steps as you begin to slowly make your way down.
  119. >The carpeting is soft beneath your bare feet.
  120. >Until you finally hit the bottom.
  121. >As you step off the final stair, you feel your foot smack against smooth concrete.
  122. >You squint, looking for some kind of light switch.
  123. >It's sort of chilly down here. Cooler than you expected.
  124. >You finally manage to find a chain hanging from the ceiling.
  125. >Taking it into your hand and yanking it, you clench your eyes shut at the sudden burst of light.
  126. >As you squint your eyes to let them adjust, your jaw drops at what you see.
  127. >Two outfits set near the center of the room, hanging on wireframe mannequins.
  128. >You just know she's making it for someone important now.
  129. >The one on the right simply spells power.
  130. >From the almost military looking hat, to the tight looking corset and short coat, all made of the same leathery material as your ball-necklace.
  131. >On the left, though, you're not so sure.
  132. >Leather straps surround the saddle. More than it would seem necessary for keeping it on.
  133. >Around where the muzzle would be is a small bridle and around where its eyes would be is the same kind of leather blindfold you saw earlier.
  134. >It sets on top of something.
  135. >It looks like a pair of skis, bit they're curved upward and connected to each other by steel bars.
  136. >There are four boot-like straps where each of the mannequin's legs are and even more leather straps connecting them to the saddle.
  137. >It looks like some kind of giant rocking horse.
  138. >You gape in amazement. Your sister is so cool!
  139.
  140. >You run over to them, trying to hop up on the one on the left.
  141. >You manage to just barely tap your hand to the hat, knocking it to the floor.
  142. >Giggling cheerfully, you hop up to it, sliding it onto your head.
  143. >It hangs off your head slightly, too big for you.
  144. >You pull the coat off of the mannequin, sliding it across the floor.
  145. >Draping it across your back, you have to roll up the sleeves.
  146. >It fits you like a large coat, even though it would only end just above the thigh for a fully grown person.
  147. >You feel so cool right now.
  148. >With your neat high class ball-necklace.
  149. >Your cool police person/military hat thingy.
  150. >Your awesome bracelet.
  151. >Your cape jacket thing.
  152. >You can think of just one thing that would make it cooler.
  153. >The scepter still up in rarity's room.
  154. >You dash up the stairs, laughing the whole way and leaving what is left of the outfits behind.
  155. >The sleeves sag some, and the sides of the coat drag the stairs, but you don't care.
  156. >You can't believe your sister MADE these!
  157. >Bee-lining back to Rarity's room, you pick the leather scepter thing up off the ground, lifting your hand.
  158. >You thrust your nose into the air, smiling.
  159. >You have to see yourself.
  160. >As fast as you were getting to Rarity's room, you're just as fast getting down to a mirror in her design area.
  161. >Hopping through the door into the now clean room, you make your way as fast as you can to a large mirror at the center.
  162. >Bouncing up to it, stumble, almost falling over.
  163. >You strike a pose, tipping the hat over your eyes.
  164. >Re-adjusting the hat and sleeves, you can finally see yourself.
  165.
  166. >You giggle, giving a wink to the mirror before standing up and puffing out your chest.
  167. >You feel powerful!
  168. >Oh! You just thought of something!
  169. >Maybe your awesome big sister will make one for you too, if you ask her!
  170. >You did so much for her today, she's sure to be super happy with you.
  171. >You colored her a pretty picture.
  172. >Though you might have used one of her designs as a base. You're sure she won't mind.
  173. >You cleaned up two super messy rooms.
  174. >And now you're-
  175. >"SWEETIE BELLE!" you hear a voice call your name from up stairs.
  176. >Oh man. She does not sound happy...
  177. >You frantically look around, thinking of what to do.
  178. >You left the box out!
  179. >You left the basement door open!
  180. >You suddenly realize that you have been doing something expressly forbidden by your sister.
  181. >You've gone into her room and into the basement, and played dress up in her neat clothes.
  182. >But surely she won't be too upset... right?
  183. >I mean, she is your awesome big sister.
  184. >"Sweetie Belle, what have you done?!"
  185. >You hear her storming through the boutique.
  186. >Not sure what to do, you run out of her design room and back to the basement.
  187. >Maybe you can get the stuff back onto the mannequin before she sees you!
  188. >Your plan is thwarted as you run for the door.
  189. >Rarity is standing right in front of you, her face contorted into a deep scowl, fuming with anger.
  190. >You can practically feel the heat coming from her red face.
  191. >You freeze in place as she locks eyes with you.
  192.
  193. >"Sweetie Belle! What have I told you abo-"
  194. >She is cut off mid sentence as she sees what you're wearing.
  195. >Her eyes widen and you think you see her pupils shrink.
  196. >Her jaw drops, and for a few moments the two of you just set there in silence.
  197. >"Sweetie bell... What are you wearing?"
  198. >Your mouth works to find words, opening and closing a few times before you give a sheepish smile.
  199. >"Y-Your cool outfit?"
  200. >Her previously angry expression fades as a new one takes over.
  201. >She looks strangely calm.
  202. >You don't like that.
  203. >You don't like that at all.
  204. >"My... Cool outfit. Right. And where did you get those things?"
  205. >Oh man. She must be really mad.
  206. >You take a few steps back before answering.
  207. >"T-the basement? And your room?"
  208. >"Yes. And what have I told you about going into either of those rooms?"
  209. >You kick at the ground, the hat dropping back over your right eye.
  210. >"Not to?"
  211. >She grits her teeth as she nods.
  212. >"Correct. 'Not to.' And why did you?"
  213. >Rarity takes a deep breath, obviously trying to keep her composure.
  214. >"B-because I was bored?" You answer truthfully.
  215. >Somehow, that excuse sounded better in your mind.
  216. >Rarity rubbing her fingertips against her temples.
  217. >She steps up to you, pulling the bracelet thing off of your wrist.
  218. >"This isn't even for girls."
  219. >She sighs, pocketing it as she stands up and turns around.
  220.
  221. >She picks up the scepter thingy too, carrying both of them.
  222. >"Come with me. We need to talk."
  223. >Oh man. Yeah. She's furious.
  224. >That's the only time she ever wants to talk.
  225. >You sheepishly comply, following her as she leads you back upstairs.
  226. >You want to ask what the ring is for then, if it isn't for girls, but keep your mouth shut.
  227. >Rarity doesn't say a word as the two of you walk back into her room.
  228. >Her other things still lay scattered across the floor around the half opened box.
  229. >She begins to pick her stuff up, almost seeming like she's trying to think of what to say.
  230. >This is weird.
  231. >Usually your sister knows just what to say and when to say it, but right now it seems like she's having some difficulty.
  232. >You just set down and quietly watch her.
  233. >"Sweetie belle?" She finally says, holding out her hand.
  234. >You tilt your head slightly, causing the hat to slide more to the right.
  235. >"The thing around your neck please."
  236. >You nod, fiddling with the latch thing.
  237. >Your hands aren't deft enough, and even though you were able to get it on, you can't seem to be able to get it off.
  238. >Rarity rolls her eyes as she sees you fumbling with the latch, walking up behind you.
  239. >You look down as she takes it off of you and puts it back in the box, along with the ring and the scepter thingy.
  240. >Finally, she closes the box up and turns around, looking down at you.
  241. >"Come on. Let's go get that off of you." She tells you, gesturing towards the hat and coat.
  242. >"Alright, but what did you want to talk-"
  243. >"Quiet." She snaps, before taking another deep breath.
  244.
  245. >"Just... Let's just get that stuff off first, okay?"
  246. >You hang your head dejectedly, the hat sliding forward again.
  247. >"Okay..."
  248. >The two of you make your way back to the basement.
  249. >The silence is killing you, putting you even more on edge than you were before.
  250. >As the two of you make it to the bottom of the stairs, Rarity starts undressing you.
  251. >She carries the hat back over to the mannequin, dropping it onto its head.
  252. >You are lifted into the air a bit, before falling to the ground as she slides the coat off of you forcefully.
  253. >She replaces that as well, before heading to the light chain.
  254. >"Let's go back to the living room, shall we?"
  255. >"Yes Rarity." you reply, still not entirely sure what to think.
  256. >You really want to break the silence, but you don't want to make your sister any angrier.
  257. >Finally, the two of you make it to the living room.
  258. >Rarity takes a seat on the large couch, gesturing for you to set down as well.
  259. >Nodding, you comply, setting just across from her.
  260. >"Alright." She looks you over, furrowing her brow.
  261. >She falls silent again.
  262. >What's so hard about talking?
  263. >After a moment of staring at you, she speaks up.
  264. >"Sweetie Belle, you can't just search through person's personal things like that. It's wrong to invade person's privacy, and that's exactly what you did tonight."
  265. >"But I just wanted to-"
  266. >"'But I just wanted to' nothing. There aren't any buts. I specifically told you to stay out of my room and the basement and you blatantly disobeyed my orders. Correct?"
  267. >Your hang your head and nod.
  268. >"Yeah..."
  269.
  270. >"How would you like it if I slipped into your journal every now and again and read some of it?"
  271. >You deadpan, looking back up at her.
  272. >"You have."
  273. >She clears her throat, looking around the room.
  274. >"W-well. Yes. And how did that feel?"
  275. >She was right. It didn't feel very good at all.
  276. >"Yeah... I guess I understand." you reply, kneading the fabric of the couch with your hand.
  277. >"Good. Now, you're grounded for the rest of the week that you're here."
  278. >You gasp, your mouth agape.
  279. >"The rest of the week?!" You yell, your voice squeaking.
  280. >"Yes. The rest of the week. Or I could talk to our parents about how you messed up my designs, reorganized my design room again and got into my... 'private' things?"
  281. >You groan. You don't want mom and dad finding out about this.
  282. >"Fine. Just one thing."
  283. >Rarity tilts her head.
  284. >"What's that?"
  285. >"If those are yours and you weren't making them for someone else, what do you use them for? I never see you wearing them."
  286. >The question seems to catch her off guard, and her face turns a bright red again.
  287. >Oh no, you've made her mad again.
  288. >"W-well they're for-I wear them when-They're-" She sputters, almost locked in combat with whatever explanation she's trying to come up with.
  289.
  290. >"I-It's a special outfit. I only wear it on special occasions, and those are occasions that you're not here. That's why you've never seen me in them."
  291. >You guess that makes sense, but that only raises more questions.
  292. >"What kind of special occasions?"
  293. >"W-what kind of special occasions?" She parrots, running her fingers through her hair nervously.
  294. >"Well... You're not big enough yet. You saw how that thing fit you! Simply would not do."
  295. >You look at her skeptically.
  296. >Why is she always treating you like a little kid?
  297. >You're a big girl! You're just as mature as she is.
  298. >Sometimes it seems like you're even more mature than she is.
  299. >"But I AM old enough to know!" you argue, stomping your hand.
  300. >You're still a little scared to speak up, but you're getting a bit annoyed.
  301. >You spent all of today working to impress her, and what do you get?
  302. >Grounded because you were wearing clothes she was trying to keep a secret from you!
  303. >You thought sisters told each other everything.
  304. >It isn't fair, and you decide to tell her as such.
  305. >She backpedals before you get the chance to.
  306. >"I-I didn't say you weren't old enough. I said you weren't 'big' enough. There's a difference, you know."
  307. >"Then make one my size! Did you see me? I looked so cool, didn't I?"
  308. >You still have so many questions to ask.
  309. >Was that thing around your neck really a necklace?
  310. >What about that scepter thingy?
  311. >And the vibrating thing?
  312. >And what about the handcuffs?
  313. >And that ring. She said it wasn't even for girls. What the hay was that for?
  314. >And why did she have a... 'thing' in her box?!
  315.
  316. >With how the outfit looked, it was obviously something super cool and she refuses to tell you what it was about!
  317. >You begin bombarding her with questions.
  318. >Why was everything made out of that leather stuff?
  319. >Why did the hat look like something a police person would wear?
  320. >Why was the coat so short?
  321. >What was that other thing and why were there so many straps?
  322. >Why did it look like a rocking horse?
  323. >With each new question her face seems to grow redder and redder.
  324. >"Sweetie belle, stop!" She finally yells, cutting off your endless barrage.
  325. >"That's enough for now. I don't have to answer to you. I'm older than you, and you're in my home. Now go to your room so I can clean up the mess you've made. You've set me back weeks on my work, you know."
  326. >Your eyes travel across her red face, her mane a bit disheveled.
  327. >You want to continue so bad, but you really don't want to get in trouble.
  328. >You smile.
  329. >"Okay. Fine. I'll let you get back to your work and I'll stop asking you questions." You tell her.
  330. >She lets out a sigh of relief, sliding down the couch.
  331. >"Good. Just... Go do something in your room, okay? I have a lot of work to do."
  332. >You nod as you begin to trot away.
  333. >"Alright." You tell her, stopping at the doorway.
  334. >"I'll just ask mom and dad. I'm sure they will answer me."
  335. >Rarity stops dead in her tracks.
  336. >She stares for a long moment at the wall, before slowly turning toward you.
  337. >"Are you... Are you blackmailing me?"
  338.
  339. >You look up innocently at her, holding your hands behind your back as you twist your toe on the ground.
  340. >"What's blackmaililng?"
  341. >She grumbles under her breath, gritting her teeth as the glare slowly returns.
  342. >"Why you conniving little-" she stops, staring at you.
  343. >Rarity closes her eyes, taking a deep breath in through her nose before she loses her composure.
  344. >"Get yourself together, Rarity. You are a lady." you hear her say under her breath.
  345. >You can't help but roll your eyes.
  346. >"Sweetie Belle... Just come set back down, alright? It appears we have more to talk about."
  347. >You grin, beaming over your triumph over your sister.
  348. >Like putty in your hand.
  349. >"How about this." She says, setting down and smiling.
  350. >"I'll make you an outfit similar the one that you saw and wore. But not completely the same, alright?"
  351. >You groan.
  352. >"Why not?" you ask her. You wanted something just as cool!
  353. >"Because." She tells you, almost seeming aghast. "How could you not realize?"
  354. >Your mouth drops as you bounce up and down.
  355. >"What, realize what?!"
  356. >She grins.
  357. >"Why, you have your own style, of course! What works for me wouldn't work for you, right?" she reasons, raising her eyebrow.
  358. >How could you not have realized?
  359. >That stuff did look kind of weird on you...
  360. >And it was way WAY too big.
  361.
  362. >You could barely even keep the hat up.
  363. >You're not even sure you want a hat like that.
  364. >It was cool, but something else could be much cooler for you.
  365. >You grin brightly, nodding.
  366. >"You would do that?! For me?!"
  367. >Your grin falls a bit.
  368. >Suddenly you feel horrible for everything you have done.
  369. >You invaded her privacy, messed up her work and even tried to blackmail her.
  370. >And now she's making neat clothes for you.
  371. >"Of course." She says, stepping up to you and putting an arm around you.
  372. >"What are sisters for?"
  373. >You smile up at her, throwing your arms around her, pulling her into a big hug.
  374. >"Thank you so much!"
  375. >You have an awesome big sister.
  376. -'true' ending
